  • Change batch determination from TO level to Delivery level

    Hi,
    Need input on this.
We want to change the batch determination from TO level to delivery level. How do we do this? What are the implications of this change?
    Regards
    RJS

    Hi,
    1) You can switch of WM batch determination by deleting the WM batch search strategy in LS52
    2) You have to maintain the necessary setting in customizing for batch determination in delivery
SPRO > Logistcs - General > Batch Management > Batch Determination and Batch Check...here you have to all the setings
    3) You have to maintain suitable batch search strategy in VCH1/VCH2/VCH3
If batch is determined in the delivery it means that you cannot change it when creating the TO.

  • At what levels order can block through credit mgt

    Hi,
At what levels order can block through credit mgt

    Hi
We may need credit check at delivery level and PGI level because if the customer limit does not exceed at sales order level but at the time of delivery date and PGI date his credit limit exceeded then we can block doing delivering the stock or block PGI for that customer .
    There are different scenario like,
    1) If you want to credit management on delivery level then it usefull in tranpoter bill payment is pending or not how much amt is pending.
    2) Also required on customer, if customer has not proper balance then you can use that.

  • What levels of Acrobat are needed to use forms created in Acrobat Pro 9?

What levels of Acrobat are needed to use forms created in Acrobat Pro 9? I want to use my form as a job ticket but want to know what levels of adobe reader are needed for the end users to be able to fill out & submit the forms without any problems.

Reader 7 and higher should be able to fill out forms and submit if the pdf format allows Reader 7 to fill out the form. However, without problems is a different issue. Submission of forms via email is ALWAYS a problem. It is always better to post the form on a website and have the form filled out on the web and have the data stored or sent to a database for further action.

  • At what level do we get customisable avatars?

I like the customisable avatars that the experts are showing.  What level do you have to reach to get that privilege?

Don - been on the same level for quite a while now. I'm on 600 points.  I think on the old forum format, it was Level 2, but since the new format came up I'm on 3.
likeabird - I did have a photo in the profile and selected it, but I still was getting the currect avatar showing up on posts, so I deleted it.  Is that where the image should be set?  In the photos boxes?

  • What level of access a DBA should have on production Environment

We are in the process of auditing
I want to know what level of acccess a DBA has on a production server..How about the Backups ONLINE/EXport backup? Which account should be used for those purposes...
Can i DBA login as SYSTEM or SYS user? or he should have separate account to do all the activities..
I am more on protecting the data from unauthorized user..Any standards followed for that
    Best Regards
    Maran

    Hi Maran,
What level of access a DBA should have on production Environment
    root
However, there have been cases of dishonest DBA's and SA, manipulating data for profit and stealing data:
    http://www.dba-oracle.com/art_lumigent_whitepaper.htm
Kevin Mitnick, the noted computer felon likes to show how security breeches are commonly the result of employee errors. In his book “The Art of Deception”, Mitnick talks about his techniques to get trusting employees to disclose confidential information and privileged passwords. In one case Mitnick was able to secure a privileged password using the name Lemonjello, and then bragged about the naïve employee who handed-over a system password to someone called “Lemon Jell-O”. In this case the IT staff was never able to ascertain the root cause of the breech because their mechanism for the dissemination and auditing of secure information was inadequate.
Today, there are ways to seregate the audit trails, giving the DBA what they need to do their job, while not giving them the keys to the kingdom.
    Hope this helps . . .

  • How to know what level of optimization to use / which symbols to remove

I probably should have asked this question along time ago, but how do you know what level of optimization to use and what symbols you can safely remove when compiling

I have no direct experience with development for Macs, but based on my experience on other platforms, I'd use lower optimization and symbol removal early in the debugging process, increasing those as the program becomes more stable.

  • What level of Elements will support Olympus OMD-M-5 Raw Files (.ORF) ??

What level of Elements will support Olympus OMD-M-5 Raw Files (.ORF) ??

Yes it is the OM-D E-M5 Newly purchased. Love the camera but don't like the Olympus software.
I have Elements 7, but have previously been a Canon user and have hitherto used Canon DPP software to process my CR2 Raw files.

  • What level of disk shock protection is there in Portege R830

    Folks,
I work in an area where there are lots of people who carry their Portege Laptops (mostly R830's) around while they're still on - mainly while they're moving from desks to meeting rooms etc, and often carrying them on an angle. I feel a bit silly because I insist on putting mine to sleep before I move it.
What level of disk shock protection is there in these laptops? Am I being paranoid or is everyone else inviting disaster?
    Thanks,
    Yokki

    Hi
First of all its not really good for the HDD if the notebook would be moved while the HDD is in use in such case the HDD read/write head would be affected while carrying along but there is a software called Toshiba HDD protection which use an sensor built in the notebook. the HDD protection detects the vibrations and shocks and automatically moves the HDD head in a safe position to reduce the risk of damage caused by head to disk contact.

  • What level of Photoshop (Elements, Lightroom, CS6) would I need

We have 8" x 10" radiochromic film (like conventional x-ray film, except that it self develops without chemical solutions) that has a reflective backing built in (doubles the path length through the sensitive emulsion).
I want to do a reflective scan (very easy with VueScan) and then do two things to the resulting TIFF file:
    1. Use a histogram to adjust the black and white levels to optimize contrast for the image.
    2. Change the greyscale range to a color range using a linear transformation (i.e., 0 = black, goes to red; 255= white, goes to blue) for easier viewing .
What level of Photoshop (Elements, Lightroom, CS6) would I need to do this?
    Thank you

For simple file manipulation Photoshop Elements would be enough and in your case the best.

  • What level should my computer speakers be set at?

What level should my computer speakers be set at while I edit in order so the final levels are good for DVD and Television sets?

The best method for monitoring audio is much like the best method for monitoring video; externally. I would not rely too much on your computer's speakers if you're hoping for accuracy.
It is highly recommended to monitor both video and audio on properly calibrated devices - a TV monitor for the video and nearfield or reference monitors for audio. Nearfield/reference monitor don't color the sound the way regular speaker do. And that's what you need in order to ensure the audio you're editing will sound as you actually want it to.
As for the speaker volume, it's just as important to watch the meters while listening. Average levels should be around -12db with peaks up to -6 or even as high as -3 if it's something that's supposed to be loud like a gunshot.
To calibrate the speakers (unscientifically), route the audio output from a TV with normal broadcast or cable channels to the speakers you'll be using. Set the speaker volume to what you consider to be a normal listening level while surfing the various channels. Once you've set the volume level, you'll know when editing that the audio levels you're outputting will be the proper volume for TV viewing.

  • What level CSS and HTML for Dreamweaver CS5 (Vers 11.0)

What level CSS and HTML for DW CS5?

CS5 does not support HTML5 in this sense -
    1. It will not automatically start a new document with an HTML5 doctype (you can force it to do this - if you are interested I can tell you how), but you can always just replace what CS5 writes with an HTML5 snippet.
    2. It will not show any of the new HTML5 tags in any of your menus (or in code hints) - if you want to do HTML5 you are on your own with manual coding.
The same is true with CSS - if you want to do any of the advanced CSS styles (like animation, gradients, rounded corners, shadows, etc.) you are on your own.
