At What Time are Device Queues Filled with Updates?

As you can see from other postings on this forum, we're currently experiencing upload problems for very large files, especially over slower internet connections. I suggest that you try to upload these files to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com and then create Public links from there. You can then distribute the Public links for your users to access the files.

What time are pre orders available to download?

    Hello there, Jon3nt.
The following Knowldge Base article has the information you are looking for regarding Preorders:
    iTunes Store: About Pre-orders
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5714
    Specifically:
    Downloading a pre-ordered item
When a pre-order item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know your pre-order is available for download.
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloadsto begin downloading your pre-order.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities for answers to your question.
    Cheers,

  • What time are you getting to your Apple store to get your Reservation?

As many of you have done, I RESERVED my iPhone 4 at my nearest Apple store, which is a good hour and a half drive from here. I have never stood in line before for an iPhone release, since I usually just wait a few days after the hype to pick one up. Well this year I HAD to have it on release ;)I figured as its a reservation I probably don't have to be there at opening, but since I took the day off work and can't wait to get it, I plan on being there at opening just to be certain. My question to all of you is what time do you plan on getting in line to pick up your reservation? I plan to be by the store by 5am.

    markdr wrote:
I would be very careful about that - I dont believe the reservation actually means you are guaranteed one.
Reservations still are first come first serve. Meaning you can reserve your phone out of the quantity that the store will receive to dispurse to those that reserved, but that quantity can still be sold out to those that reserve that are there before you.
Store gets 50 phones from apple. 100 people in line reserved them. 50 ppl get the phones, the other 50 dont.
I may be wrong on this, but dont think I am. Id be really careful and do your research well.
I hope your wrong but I read in another thread where the store will receive as much as are reserved for that store plus some extra for those that didnt reserve/pre-order. I might call and check but that was my understanding. There is a little note at the bottom of the email that says "pre-authorization does not guarentee Iphone availability......", sounds a little open ended to me.

  • What time are day by day shows released ?

SO iTunes store says it will sell certain shows (in this case 'Passions') on a day by day basis. I want todays (10/1/06) but the latests they have up is yesterdays. What time will the 10/1/06 show become avaliable for purchase, and will I be able to get it on the same date, or acctually have to wait a full day ? Anyone ?

I went through this twice this past Summer. When we got one for my husband, there were many of all configurations available. We had it in less than a week. Then when my younger son quickly decided to get the same (ipad2 64 gb) we checked many times a day for about six weeks! I almost got to the point where we were going to buy one with cellular for $79.00 more just so he'd have it for school. There was never a shortage of cellular ipads in 16, 32, or 64 gb's. And then it showed up just in time for him to get it before he took off back to college.
Don't give up. Most likely what you want will come back up. There were times during the Summer when I wondered if they were holding some back from the refurb store because they were pushing the old 'new' ipad, giving students a discount on those (and given the Nov. 2012 release of the ipad 3 that would make sense.) I'm guessing that they'll be more than happy to get rid of all now in the refurb store.
Just checked the store. Jonathan Burger is right. It seems as if every size, black and white, with and without cellular, and Verizon or ATT, is on the site. If it makes it easier, in the store, scroll down to refurb store, then click on wi-fi only to see less clutter on the page, then do the same with cellular if that's what you want.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I find out what accounts are authorized to sync with my iPod?

I'm trying to download a video onto my iPod classic, but I keep getting a message saying it won't download because the iPod can only contain information from five different accounts. But when I checked how may accounts were authorized, iTunes said there were only two accounts out of the available five that were authorized. I really want this movie on my iPod but I'm not sure where to go from here?

"How do I find out what computers are authorized to use my Store Account? "
The ones that you authorized.  There is no list.
"Do my iPhones count towards the 5?"
    No.
    ONLY computers count.

what time does adobe creative cloud auto update

    Hi There,
There is no specific time for the update, whenever there is an update released and your machine is online it will  notify/try to update the app.
Latest version of creative cloud has an option to always keep Creative Cloud up to date.
However, you can disable it to manage it yourself, follow the step mentioned below.
    Launch creative cloud
click on the gear icon to top left corner
    go to preference
check always keep Creative Cloud up to date.

  • Queue filling with outgoing spam, how do I stop it?

My queue has lately filled up with mail intended to go out as mail from [email protected] or [email protected], and the like.
I run Wordpress sites on this server and I updated all versions, fixed all folder permissions and changed all passwords. It stopped for a while after that, but it's back again.
I've checked all Wordpress logins and found no unauthorized IPs logging in. Can't find anything in the FTP or access logs that looks amiss.
I know we are not an open relay.
Can anybody tell me how I can track down how or where in the system these scumbags are getting in?
    Really appreciate any help!

  • Mail queue filling with errors, is something broken?

Back in SL, I was able to just look at the queue in server app and if it ever had anything in it, I knew it was a problem and I usually could deal with it.
But in ML, you have to issue "mailq" in terminal to see it. So I did that a lot when first set up, and everything seemed fine.
I just checked it recently and found hundreds of messages like this:

I remember reading about how to fix this before - but cannot find the details now.

how can I sent the mail server up to just ditch this stuff in the first place.
    Tim

Here is an extract from the logs. I think I understand this now and it works as it should - but perhaps you could confirm.
This message is clearly not stuck in the outgoing queue. From what I can see mail is received from a backup mail relay for a non existent user on this server. When we try to reject it back to sender, if the sender rejects with 550 we bin it.
I guess the problem is what to do when the receiving mail server fails to respond? I think eventually it times out and we delete the message. Is that correct?

  • What harddrives are approved for use with ix4-200d?

    Hi,
I found an article on the Lenovo site for the process of swapping out all 4 hard drives in an ix4-200d, but what I can't find is an article showing the list of approved/recommended hard drives for use with the ix4-200d.  Can anyone point me to such an article?
My ix4-200d has a 4x500GB configuration (Seagate ST3500412AS drives).  I'd like to swap them for either 2TB or 3TB drives, so I can have one place to store all my raw video, which right now is spread out over three different devices.  Also, if you have any advice or gotchas to look out for when I swap out the drives, I'd love to hear you on that matter.
    Thanks,
    William

    Hello vitorpereira
In regards to the ix4-200d and ix4-200d CE, Iomega/LenovoEMC never created an approved list of drives.  When a disk failure occured the disk should be replacing with a matching drive if at all possible.
When it is not possible to use a matching disk model, a similar disk should be used.  This would be a disk with the same manufacturer, capacity and rotation speed.
For the ix4-200d specifically, the units shipped with either a 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB Seagate Barracuda LP (5900rpm) Hepburn disks.  ST3500412AS, ST31000520AS, ST32000542AS
That is what the ix4-200d units were qualified to use.  Outside of those three specific drive models you will be dealing with hypothetically compatible disk options.
The recommendations that Wesley made previously are correct.  You should go though the ix4-300d list find a model that is similar to the stock drive or at least within the capacity limits of the device model.  (ix4--200d is 2TB disks, ix4-200dce is 3TB disks)
If a different disk models are used in either version of the ix4-200d, it is highly recommended that all disks be eventually replaced with the new model of disk for RAID stability.  to do this, the Capacity Upgrade Guide should be followed.

  • What exactly are devices?

    Hello All,
HD, iDisk and backup of macbook are under devices which seems intuitively fine.
However, I also have Firefox and Thunderbird. How did these end up there I don't know. So my question is what do I do about it? If I try to eject it says it can't because it's under use.

If you have Firefox and Thunderbird there it means you didn't install those programs properly and are using them from disk images. To install an app that comes on a disk image you have to mount the disk image and drag the app from the mounted image to the main Applications folder. so quit Firefox and Thiunderbird, and drag the apps from the disk images to Applications. then you can eject the images.

  • What TIME are updates scheduled when referenced as "overnight" or "try later tonight"?

Need Specific Timeframe when Auto Updates are installed.
What is the actual TIME of "overnight" and "try later tonight"?
We are on satellite and limited to 15gb/month for the entire family.
We are blowing through our GB due to updates.
Using "try later tonight", used 1/3 of our monthly allowance is ONE night.

ummmm.........updates you desperately need??? i'm so lost
I have this phone and it was perfect
    1. JB, who cares?
    2. I have connected to 3 or so different wifi without issue, did you try changing the channel on your router?
    3. dunno, i do use it plugged into aux but then if i need to text i just type it at stop lights
    4. I thought it was a global phone?
    5. trololol i'll stay away from this one..
    a. another troll topic i won't get into, but check out the android market theres apps out there (foxfi etc)
    b. yah and mcdonalds shouldn't charge me $7 for $2 worth of meat
    c. maybe in 10 years this will be how it all works
    d. verizon added 1.2million customers last quarter, not everyone is poor and unwilling to pay for value
    e. You're more than welcome to purchase a phone from the manufacture
Verizon is a service provider, if you don't like the service or are unable to pay for the service find another carrier that matches your needs better.
Reading your thread you seem better suited for prepaid, you are very worked up over a cellphone ..

  • Time Machine back up filling with Fusion 2.0.1 Boot Camp virtual machine

Hi all, I want to report and share something (don't actually know if it's a bug).
I finally solved an issue that was maddening me since weeks: my Leopard 10.5.6 Time Machine was backing up lots of gigabytes of data even if I wasn't writing to files that much lately. I tried to exclude everything I was aware of having a large size, and I even did not have a Fusion VM at all at a certain point in */Users/MyUser/Documents/Virtual Machines*. The only virtual machine I am using is the virtualized Bootcamp partition with Vista installed. But I didn't care about it because I was sure Time Machine wasn't going to backup it (i.e. I thought it was excluded by default being another partition!). Instead, I finally succeded in tracking down (with a free app called "Time Tracker", google for it) the culprit to a *Boot Camp partition.vmwarevm* file, several gigabytes large (actually large as much as the used space in the Boot Camp partition), that's found under
    */Users/MyUser/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp/%2Fdev%2Fdisk0*
So I went in Time Machine options dialog and excluded */Users/MyUser/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines/Boot Camp*.
Then the problem was solved...now I need only to mount the sparsebundle and erase all the old backups of that file to recover some more space in Time Capsule...
Hopefully this will be helpful to someone else!
    Cheers!

No, not a bug. By default TM will back-up any drive/partition it can read, except the TM backup drive/partition itself.

  • What time are the apple stores open today?

    Anybody?

Here on East Coast, people were lined up last night. While it's a 24 hour store, the launch was supposed to have started at 8:00 as of late last night. This morning, well after 8:00 am, people on line weren't even told that Apple pushed the launch back to 10:00 am.

Call your local store. They still might be opening at 8:00 am.
Zebedeo, I'm surprised after your past posts that you're not already lined up! Get out there and get your ipad!
    And enjoy it.
