At wit's end..please help!

I am having multiple problems with my itunes. First off, I would post the diagnostic, but when I try to run it, itunes just freezes up.
The main problem I am having is getting to my purchases that need to be downloaded. I have 34 in the queue, and whenever I click on "Check for downloads" all I get is the "Itunes store temporarily unavailable-try again later". This has occurred on five different internet connections (including my home connection) over the course of 4 months now. If I try to do the same through the "my account page" I get the "accessing itunes store" and then it just stops and nothing happens. I have read countless posts here with similar problems, tried all the solutions including updating my itunes, going through the msconfig, flushing the dns, uninstalling the Norton trash (with the tool) that came with the computer, etc., etc. ad nauseum. I even contacted support, who were of no help. Does anyone have any ideas how I can get around this?

I know it says that the connection failed because it timed out, but I have a touchy internet connection. I don't think this is the root of the problem, because as I have said before this has occurred from five different internet connections, including my home connection. Plus, the store works normally. It is the "check for available downloads" that gives me the problems. Could it have something to do with the secure connection line in there, and if so, how do I fix it?

    I keep getting the error message "apple application support is required to run itunes. Please uninstall itunes and then install it again." I've done this twice and still keep getting the same message...I'm at wits end Please HELP!!!

    Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
    Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
    Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
    Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
    Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
    If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • At My Wits End - Please Help Before I Contact OFCO...

    I have been loyal BT customer since... well having a landline in my name.
    We have been experiencing problems with BT / BT Broadband now for over 3 months. During this period we have had over 6 engineer visits an countless phone calls to BT Customer Services and also their Priority Care desk and the problem is still not resolved.
    Over 3 weeks ago I also sent an email to BT asking for contact from someone residing in the UK that could assist with the issue. I asked for a response within 10 working days and stated failure to respond would result in contacting OFCOM, watchdog and/or Trading Standards.
    The problem comprises of two issues -
    1] very slow broadband connection - no more than 0.13Mb/s at best (and that is when we have a connection at all
    2] zero broadband connection
    The telephone line crackles badly too, but as the landline is only there for the broadband this doesn't really concern us too much. We use our mobiles for phone calls.
    A similar fault stems back to 2008 when we started experiencing slowing connection speeds, but after a service visit the fault appeared to be fixed until this time last year it slowed to a death again. Following another engineer visit connection stabilised at around 1Mb/s. Then 3 months ago the problem started all over again.
    Whenever I call the customer service line, we get routed to their call centre in India where we just keep being fobbed off by engineer visits by engineers that are either not capable of doing the work or do not have the time allocated to do a comprehensive service.
    We have been told a huge number of excuses (From aluminium in the ground running next to the cables to faults with our equipment in the house (which has all been replaced for new within the last 3 months) to "we can't find a problem") as to why the service is unstable and slow.
    Another Engineer is booked for tomorrow morning, but I am fairly confident they will not solve the issue.
    The lack of service is causing problems trying to sort out year end Self Assessment, book holidays, online banking etc... over and above communicating with family living abroad (via Skype) and general surfing - all things we can not do from work.
    I have a brief record of all the attempts to resolve the issue including records of speed tests. I can also get the entire case history from BT if necessary (as I think they are compiled by law to hand over any notes they have taken). I also obviously have a copy of the email sent to direct to BT.
    Can someone here please, please help or advise who I need to contact to get the issue sorted out for once and for all before I take the matter further?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    1) What is the maximum speed you can get in your area? Type your number into the box on the right of the following web page:
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=29017
    It will tell you whether you can get BT Infinity and what your potential line speed is for your area.
    2) What package are you on? All BT packages are subject to a Fair Usage policy. Even if you are on the 'Unlimited' package your speed will be slowed down if you are a heavy user. Contact BT (call 150 from a BT landline) and choose the options concerning questions about products. Don't choose the fault options else you'll be put through to India. This way you will hopefully be put through to somebody in England as I was, and you can get the matter solved more easily. Try and find out whether your account / line has been put under Network Management.
    3) What products do you connect to the Internet with? Xbox? BT Vision? Give us a full list.
    4) As the above user imjolly said, run the BT speedtester and post some of your router information. A moderator then may be able to provide assistance.

  • PC & MAC's on a network, disconnect issues, AT WITS END, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

    HI everyone...
    This problem has me broken and utterly confused. I'm somewhat of a newbie to MAC, so I still have a PC my girlfriend uses that is wired to the router. She also has a gateway laptop w/ wireless card. I've seen the promised land and am the proud owner of a MacBook. The router is a Linksys WRTG54GS router, if that would help. The reason I bought the router is that it is noted as "very good."
    I'm under suspician that it may have to do w/ Mac system updates...any ideas????
    The only problem is when, the home network (with security or without) has the MAC on the network, the network breaks down after around 15-20 minutes. It works fine for that period of time, then in the wireless indicator on top, it always goes down to 4 bars, but the network is not accessible at all.
    When it is only PC on the network, it stays up without any issues. I WANT TO USE MY MAC WITHOUT RESETTING MY ROUTER EVERY 20 MINUTES....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    ps- I've updated the firmware and everything, to no avail, it doesn't work.

    I had a similarly frustrating experience when setting up my Linksys WRT54GS wireless router. My new MacBook Pro would not connect to the Internet as it would not take an ip address from DHCP on the Linksys router.
    The problem was that the latest firmware from Linksys for this router (1.50.9) is at fault. It is not compatible with Mac OS 10.4.8. In order to get things to work normally I had to downgrade the firmware of the router to version 1.50.8
    You may have to hunt around the various Linksys forums sites to find version 1.50.8 as Linksys Canada would not provide it to me. I was told to use manually set ip addresses until a new firmware version was released. However, version 1.50.8 seems to be stable and working well for me.
    There are similar problems with the compatibility of the firmware on the WRT54G Linksys router with OS 10.4.8 too, which also requires downgrading the firmware. Check the Linksys forums for more details as the firmware versions are different for this router.
    Good luck!

  • ITunes 11.0.3 asks for password again and again, have re-done my credit card details, have changed my Apple ID password, tried to log in and out of iTunes, none of thos seem to work, just keeps happening without end, please help

    I have tried to re-install iTunes 11.0.3 at least 6 times.
    I have also downloaded iTunes 11.0.3 at least 5 times.
    I have changed my Apple ID password.
    I have downloaded (again, I've done that many times) iTunes 11.0.3, then I switched off the iMac, then restarted the wi-fi modem.  Switched on the iMac, loaded iTunes, same problem.
    I tried to just switch off the wi-fi, did the same as point above, same problem.
    Even tried to change the system date to 2038, this only seemed (although I doubt it) to fix the "not responding" issue which I had this morning.
    The Apple ID password issue, where it asks me for the password loads and loads of times (probably 50 times or more), one after the other has been happening for about 3 days now.
    Here is a copy of my message problem:
    iTunes Problem, can't seem to find a solution online.
    I am running OS X 10.8.3 on an iMac, have just loaded iTunes 11.0.3 a few days ago.
    Firstly, I'd open iTunes and it would immediately say it was not responding, I'd have to force quit, try again, re-boot, try again etc.  I tried re-installing iTunes, changing password, everything to no avail, then changed my date to 2038, and voila it started responding (no, don't ask me, I just read in online and was desperate enough to try it).  Of course, I don't believe that this actually helped, I would like to know what did help or if there is something specific one needs to do to fix this.
    I have not been able to get rid of this problem:  Whenever I try to make a purchase it asks for my Apple ID password, dozens of times until I give up and press cancel, cancel, cancel.
    Why does it do this?  I don't want to purchase anything because I can't keep typing in my password again and again.  I'm not exaggerating.
    As I mentioned, I have tried to re-install iTunes, about 6 times, and I changed my password.  I still get the same problem.
    Also, my iTunes still looks like the classical iTunes and doesn't have the new interface.
    Has anyone experienced this and was able to fix it, or does anyone know what the problem is?  Please help, I'm at my wits end.

    Because too much time has passed I can't edit this into the prior comment, but here is the info regarding reverting to iTunes 11.0.2 (assuming you do have a time machine backup) from https://discussions.apple.com/message/22057703#22057703
    W. Raider wrote:
    Repairing permissions doesn't fix it.
    I reverted to the previous version, 11.0.2.
    1. Quit the new crash-prone iTunes.
    2. Delete the app.
    3. Restore v. 11.0.2 with Time Machine.
    4. In your iTunes folder look for a folder called "Previous iTunes Libraries", find the latest one.
    5. In the iTunes folder itself you'll see "iTunes Library.itl", delete it (or compress it and save a copy for later just in case.
    6. Copy the newest .itl file in Previous iTunes Libraries to the iTunes folder and rename it "iTunes Library.itl".
    7. Launch the older version of iTunes.
    My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.
    Btw, a simpler way to do this is to revert to older iTunes app, then hold Option when it launches and choose an older library.

  • Having continuous issues with my iMac, all I want to do is perform a clean install... at my wit's end. Help please. :(

    I apologize in advice if this story is discombobulated or more information is needed to provide me with an answer. I will do my best to provide as much details as possible, but this is a problem that has been occuring for the past few weeks and some things I've forgotten the specifics of.
    I will start by explaining that my iMac specs are:
    Processor 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
    Version 10.6.8
    I've owned this iMac since about April of 2010. I've never had any problems with it until recently. At one point in time, I had a Boot Camp partition made in order to install Windows, as I wanted to run some games that weren't available to Mac users. After awhile, I eventually bought a Windows Laptop for my gaming needs. When this happened, I decided to erase previously stated Boot Camp partition in order to free up more space on my hard drive.
    After a few months, had major issues involving a trojan virus on my laptop, it destroyed my hard drive, and I wasn't able to buy a new one at that time. Recently decided to try and create a new Boot Camp partition to reinstall Windows. When I attempted that, (I apologize, I don't remember the specific error) it wouldn't allow me, and from what I remember after doing some google research, it sounded like somehow my hard drive had become disorganized, and needed to somehow be reorganized.
    At some point in my google research I found that using the Repair function in Disk Utilities would possibly help. When I tried that, (the only reason I know this is because I tried just now to get the error to pop up) I'm given a message "This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.
    So here I'm thinking, "okay! No big deal! I have the disk still, I will just back up my hard drive to an external hard drive". So I buy an external HDD, back up everything I need. I then put the disk in, and my optical drive spends some time thinking, then spits it back out. It does this repeatedly. I do some more google research, find that optical drives crapping out on mac users isn't all that uncommon. I try to clean it with a trick someone suggested. I then tilted my iMac to one side, it accepts a cd! I try it again, and I'm no longer able to trick my iMac into reading disks. Sad face.
    Instead of hefting large sums of cash at Apple to replace my optical drive, I buy a far more affordable external cd/dvd drive that is working perfectly fine. So after waiting for that to be delivered, 3 days later, I'm excited to finally get a clean install with my OS X drive. At this point, I care little about repairing, and have decided to just completely clean install. I restart my iMac, boot from disk, and I get the spinny thing for about 20 minutes. I think, "hmm... should it take this long?" So I reboot and try again. Same thing. I then let it run overnight, and wake up to spinny thing. When my Mac is on, it reads the dvd just fine. It just won't boot from it and let me start the clean install.
    So then I get the idea maybe I can do a remote install of the disk from my friend's macbook. No such luck, won't seem to recognize anything. Then I see that I can make a copy of the disk image to my computer, and burn that image to a partition made on my external HDD, so that I can boot from that. Well, the only info I could find was a gentleman burning a downloaded version of OSX Lion, but I figured, "hey, its the same thing, right?" I guess not. I tried copying the image using the restore function in Disk Utilities, and it does indeed show up when I hold Option at start up, but booting from it does not start up properly. It starts up like any normal time I restart. I'm thinking its cause the way I copied it didn't involve a .dmg file.
    So I try to copy the image to a file on my computer, but when I do that, I get some sort of input/output error.
    What can I do at this point? I thought I originally set up Time Machine but when I checked recently, no such luck. All I want is a fresh reboot of my Mac. I'm guessing somehow my hard drive became corrupted in some way. I mean, it truly doesn't seem to be affecting anything, except somehow even after deleting all known movie, music, game, etc. files, I still am using up 270 gb of space. Maybe I never un-did the Boot Camp partition properly and kinda screwed myself on this one.
    I've tried just about everything. I never invested in Apple Care, but even had I done so, I think it would have exceeded the warranty, as I had thought it was 2 years. I could be wrong, either way, its water under the bridge now. I need to fix this myself. I'd still like to use my iMac for general use, and to utilize the 1 TB of storage it possesses.
    Any help is greatly appreciated, sorry for the wall of text, its been a complicated few weeks. Thanks!

    Whew... never buy an iMac or Laptop from Apple without the 3 year extended AppleCare... well 2 years extended... & I think they should be called on this, they should come with a 5 year Warranty, with more available if you want.

  • AT WITS END=PLEASE HELP! Unable to restore; No password; Bluish green-black flickering monitor

    Hi all, first time here, and I regret this is so long, but PLEASE bear with me.  Having gotten nowhere after roughly 20 hours of labor plus 8 hours with "customer support", I REALLY NEED YOUR  HELP!, PLEASE.. I have a Pavillion dv7-4087cl entertainment notebook running Windows 7, Home Premium, 64 bit, Product # wq637ua#aba. In essence, the primary issue is that I'm unable to do anything on my notebook. which includes a Notebook Recovery - the problems are broken down below.
    Problems:
    1. I noticed that the screen began to flicker, rapidly alternating between blue/green and black.  This seemed to coincide with an update that I was instructed to install on 7/19 by rebooting my computer (it was either an HP or Microsoft update). Of note is that there is no flicker when I am in Recovery Manager, Advanced System Diagnostics, or other "fix it" screens.
    2. Also, another  major problem that keeps showing up is that this machine uses finger swipe technology to log on. I was so taken with the ease of this when I first got the machine < 8 months ago that, to my recollection, I never entered/registered a password.  Everything went swimmingly... until now.  However, now that I have this problem, I am unable to proceed with several possible remedies because it asks for the unrecorded password.
    3.  Given the aforementioned, I've been unable to do a Notebook Recovery.
    REMEDIES ATTEMPTED:
    1.  I have run Start-Up Repair with everything being ok, in HP Advanced System Diagnostics I ran the Tune-Up Program and all was well, and the same applies to the Hard Disk Test.  As per response to ADG's 7/12/11 post, I followed the directions found there, as follows: 1. insert CD and boot into recovey manager, 2. "Windows is loading files" message displayed, with "Welcome to Recovery Manager' at the top 3. However, I did not see Advanced System Options or System Recovery, but was able to access those somehow during another attempt at a fix 4 Was unable to find "Recover without backing up" or to click on "System Recovery" which was listed but, as noted below, it was not an option I could access/click on.  Although the screen said something like "reloading files", as I had my recovery DVD inserted, when that process was done, and the system rebooted, it was back to the blue/green/black rapid flicker. Along that line,  I made my  own Rescue Disc, and it is only one DVD.  In reading others' posts, sounds like I should have at least three discs. Do you think I need to order these from HP?
    2.  Performed a "Hard Reset" to no avail.
    3.  I have tried every approach that I could think of (e.g., F8, F11, System Recovery,  Advanced Diagnostics, etc.), and that the lack of a password would allow.  One thing I noted was that only two restore points were listed.  One was dated 7/18/11, it was an automatic resore point, and the "type" was "System".  The other was dated 7/19, which is when the problem first manifested, and it said it was an "HTFS" or some similar acronyms, and the type was "install".  It was after this install that I noticed the problem.
    4.  Customer support rep said to do the following:  Run Hard Disk Test and, if it passes we know it's not a hardware problem - it did pass.  After the test,  he said to choose "shut down", but the closest option was "Exit", which I did  He told me to turn it off and, while rebooting, press F11 which would yield three columns.  All was going well at that point.  He said that beneath the "I need help immediately" screen, to select "System Recovery".  However, while that was listed, the only option to which I had access was to "Microsoft System Restore".  I clicked that, as I had done Many times before and, this time, as with the other times, it was just another exercise in futility.
    STATUS:  The machine is not even 8 months old and, despite all efforts, it remains broken.  I am unable to do a recovery/restore, It appears to be a software problem, and I have no password which prevents many solution attempts, as well as other likely problems down the road. My finger swipe was all that I ever needed up to this point - lesson learned.   Thank you so very much in advance, sorry this is so long, and I would Greatly appreciate your H E L P

    Hi,
    First of all, try the following to see if this will allow you to boot into Windows.
    Download the application on the following link and save it to your Desktop.
    PC LoginNow
    Next, download and install  ImgBurn.
    Now, download and install 7-Zip.  When installed, right click the PC LoginNow download, select 7-Zip, select Extract Files and click OK.  Open the newly extracted folder and use ImgBurn to correctly burn the ISO file to a CD.  A guide on how to use this is on the link below.
    PC LoginNow Guide
    Insert the CD into your PC you can't log in to and restart to boot from the disc.
    Hopefully this should simply remove your password altogether.  Let me know the result of this before going any further.

  • Time Code Nightmare won't end -- PLEASE HELP!

    Capturing ndf dvcam tapes to fcp, fcp seems to be reading them as df. We've tried to recapture several times, once the tc seemed to be good, then the clips all defaulted to the zero start time code--as if the media were corrupt? Why won't fcp read these tapes as ndf? We have followed all suggestions on logging and batch capturing correctly. Has anyone ever encountered tapes that just have some funky extra digital info that screws up fcp? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Shane, thanks for your help. Ok, so what does this "DVCAM are drop frame" thing? These are DVCAM and definately NDF. FCP initially wants to see them as df, but after one or two seconds of play sees that they are ndf. They read as that in the capture window, on the deck, when paused, etc. And yes, we actually get time code when we mark ins and outs. In fact, we capture the clips and get time code, but once we've quit the project and restarted, the clips have lost their time code and gone to zero-start. What a trip. I really don't understand. Other than that fcp is reading as df and then gets whacked out at some point when the math doesn't work out...
    What do you think? Also, we are considering skipping the batch capture and doing capture now once the tape is rolling and fcp can see that it's ndf. Can we set fcp to abort on tc breaks when doing capture now? Or do you foresee any other problems with the capture now process?
    Thanks!

  • My First while loop inside PL/SQL block not working , please help

    Hi ,
    I am new to PL/sql and struck at PL SQL blocks , please help to solve this .
    declare
    v_A number constant :=10 ;
    j number constant := 3 ;
    BEGIN
    WHILE j < v_A
    LOOP
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Hai');
    END LOOP;
    END;
    please help as how to resolve this .
    Thanks in advance .

    btw it's a useful habit to use indentation to highlight the block structure. Also it's worth deciding what your convention will be for keywords (I use uppercase, lowercase is also fine as far as I'm concerned but I've set up my editor to uppercase them) and variables, database object names etc (I use lowercase), e.g:
    DECLARE
       v_a CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 10;
       j   CONSTANT PLS_INTEGER := 3;
       i PLS_INTEGER := j;
    BEGIN
       WHILE i <= v_a LOOP
          DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(i);
          i := i +1;
       END LOOP;
    END;or perhapsdeclare
       v_a constant pls_integer := 10;
       j   constant pls_integer := 3;
       i pls_integer := j;
    begin
       while i <= v_a loop
          dbms_output.put_line(i);
          i := i +1;
       end loop;
    end;When I see "declare" and "BEGIN" in the same block of code I worry about the standard of code I'm going to see...

    please help me! any help will do! ANY!! ( if you are going to comment about restoring then please is there a way to stop it from deleting everything? because i have lots of important stuff on my imac)
    Thanks for any help in advance.

    Ok,
    Firstly, I reccomend starting your machine in Safe Boot, and seeing if it occurs again. You can do this by holding the shift key immediately as the machine starts up. If you notice that it never occurs in this mode, it is likely a temporary issue. You may like to backup, and then run a clean install of your OS. If the issue still occurs then follow the steps below.
    Repair disk permissions. Open disk utility app, select Macintosh HD, and then repair permissions.  Then go ahead and follow the following steps.
    Check peripheral devices first
    Skip this section if you have no peripheral devices.
    Power off your Mac.
    Disconnect all peripheral devices and Ethernet cables until all you have connected to your Mac is a display, keyboard, and mouse or trackpad.
    Power on your Mac and start from the external hard disk.
    Use the Apple applications on your external hard disk to surf the web, view QuickTime movies, email, print, scan, sync iOS devices, and other things. Continue using your Mac for the amount of time it would usually take for the kernel panic to occur.
    If the kernel panic does not occur: Power down your Mac and connect one peripheral at a time; repeat the above steps until you find the peripheral causing your kernel panic.
    If the kernel panic does occur: Proceed to check the internal RAM and third party hardware.
    Check internal RAM and third-party hardware
    Power off your Mac.
    Reseat your Apple RAM, and remove third party RAM and third-party hardware.  If you do not have the Apple RAM that came with your system, reseat the third-party RAM.
    Power on your Mac and start from the external hard disk.
    Use the Apple applications on your external hard disk to surf the web, view QuickTime movies, email, print, scan, sync iOS devices, and other things. Continue using your Mac for the amount of time it would usually take for the kernel panic to occur.
    If the kernel panic does not occur: Your third-party RAM or internal third-party hardware may need to be replaced.
    If a kernel panic does occur:  Bring your Mac to a Genius at an Apple Store, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service and support. Be sure to ask that, if the hard disk needs reformatting or replacing, they contact you about escalating your case to a special data recovery service. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).
    Software troubleshooting
    Reinstall Mac OS X v10.6 (or, for Mac OS X v10.5, perform an archive and install) on your internal hard disk.
    Start from the internal hard disk.
    Run Software Update.
    Install all updates until Software Update reports "Your software is up to date."
    Download and install any third-party software updates before reinstalling third-party software, especially drivers and kernel extensions.
    Examples include:
    Virtualization software – Parallels, VirtualBox and VMware
    Drivers for display cards – ATI and nVIDIA
    See if this helps, and get back to me,
    Nathan

  • Airport express setup, not working, please help me out

    i recently purchased a airport express so that i can extend the range of my current network, use airtunes, and have wireless printer sharing. My base station is a d-link router, and from there i have been having a lot of problems. I have been able to set up the airport express part of the way, but not with complete functionality. I have been able to use it for music and i havent tried printing, but i cannott connect through the internet with it, i have to revert back to my base station router for that.I have tried the entire manual, scoured the mac support website and googles this problem for hours with no end. please help me out here, this is getting pretty frustrating
    thanks for all the help in advance

    Hello CAUTION5697. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
    Unfortunately, most non-AirPort routers are not compatible with Apple's implementation of Wireless Distribution System (WDS)...so it very unlikely that your D-Link router can be extended wirelessly with the AirPort Express Base Station (AX).
    The few that are known to work are:
    o another Airport Express Base Station
    o 802.11g Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS)
    o 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn)
    o Linksys WRT54G or WRT54GS (not v5)
    o Belkin F5D7230-4 and F5D7231
    o BT Voyager 2091
    o Netgear WGR614 v6
    o Buffalo WGR-G54
    Instead, you can configure the AX to "Join an existing wireless network" for both streaming iTunes and for sharing a USB printer. Check out the following Apple article on how: AirPort Express: How to join an existing wireless network in client mode

  • Please help me to sort out this issue

    Hi,
    I have two user MAIN_USER and TMP_USER both have DBA,CONNECT,RESOURCE privileges.
    While I am creating the below procedure in MAIN_USER, I am getting the error ‘ORA-00942: table or view does not exist’ in the insert statement line FROM TMP_USER.PROD_MASTER.
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE MAST_UPLOAD IS
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO PROD_MAST
              (SELECT *
              FROM     TMP_USER.PROD_MASTER);
    END;
    Please help me to sort out this issue.
    Thanks,
    Jen.

    If the code works for TMP_USER but not for MAIN_USER, then the privileges are not the same. I'm assuming DBA,CONNECT,RESOURCE are roles. Roles are not the only thing that can be assigned to users. Users can have the same roles, but access to different objects. In this case, it looks like one user has access to the table, and the other doesn't.
