Atheros WIFI card freezing my system when try use Kismet,Airodump-ng

hi i got install in my laptop Atheroswifi card, and all working fine, from 2 yares, but yesterday i try use kismet and after start kismet, my computer was freezing, and CAPS LOCK led was blinking... a do restart, and try use airodump-ng, and same, computer freezing and CAPS LOCK blinking. So i have no idea what wrong, i think problem is in new kernel ?? how i can try what wrong, and fine them some solution ???

Atheros Wifi Cards + OS X Orangeware Driver

Checked the archives, some action on the Orangeware Driver, specially from JPL, but here is my problem:
I have the Orangeware wifi driver installed on my Wallstreet. I also have the Xjack 3com wifi card in the PC Card slot. It works with the driver, and I have successfully been online with WEP and Airport Extreme base station. Now, it is stuck in trial mode, so I only get 10 minutes online and then I must reboot for it to work again for 10 minutes, etc.
When I try and buy the driver, it takes me through a few screens within the application, but the drop down for credit card expiry starts at 2035... an anomaly. So it won't let me purchase. I then installed the driver on my Clamshell iBook and was able to go through the payment screens and successfully enter my credit card's expiry date: no anomaly. So this is certainly something with the Wallstreet. I completed the purchase on the iBook, and then uninstalled the driver. I now have a long Serial Number.
I contacted their tech support (email only), and they are horrible. Here is the response: "never seen that issue before". That was it! So I do have a serial number, but there is no where to put it in, you have to go through and buy it in order to activate it. I did contact them again about asking how to activate on a new machine, but I don't expect anything.
I can view the packages of the installer, and am wondering if we can modify the installer or something so it will be in full version mode.
Also, does anyone know anything about these orangeware corp guys? I looked them up on whois, and the phone numbers are invalid. Does anyone know valid phone numbers?

Solved the problem, and it was partly my blunder. While the date and time were correct in my system preferences, the year was set to 2035. I changed and now I have unlimited internet with the Xjack Wifi card from 3com.
Amazing, no wifi card protusion and, the Wallstreet is snappy in Tiger, much more so than my iBook 466 Clamshell. Very happy. Now, I should get the G4 with an internal SSD drive to boost performance even more.

Creative drivers give continuous static, freeze my system when sound plays

I've recently reinstalled Windows 7. Completely wiped my system partition and installed Windows 7 there from scratch. I am now having huge problems with audio.
First thing I would like to mention is that I had none of these problems on my previous installation. Audio worked perfectly, no problems with my sound card (except for no Stereo Mix).
Well, first thing I notice is audio doesn't work. Drivers are, of course, not present. So I install my trusty Daniel_k drivers for my Audigy SE using the setup.exe. First thing I notice - static. Not hardware related, because when the drivers weren't there I got complete silence. Next thing I notice is that as soon as I restart my computer, it locks up. Explorer.exe is dead (can't drag selection boxes on desktop, taskbar is not responding). The mouse then stops moving and I hear a continuous loop of the last half-second of audio that was played. Have to hard-reboot the PC.
I've isolated this issue to the Creative drivers. I uninstalled all the Creative programs (audio control panel, all that junk). System was a bit more stable, could drag selection boxes etc. now. But the static was still there. Went to the playback options and got to a button that said something like "only digital output". Checked it - static was gone. "Great", I thought. Played some music in foobar2000 - nothing. unchecked the box - music blasts loudly for one second and the whole PC freezes again with the infinite loop. After some more testing, it seems that when ANY sound plays, it freezes my system. Music, YouTube, even clicking "Test" in Playback Devices.
I've reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 a few times to no avail. Problem is still present on each install. This is all after installing all the Windows 7 updates (SP is integrated into the OS), but I doubt this makes any difference.
The drivers from Windows Update have the same problem, as do the official Creative drivers from the site (creative.com). PAX drivers are broken too.
I've also tried ignoring the setup.exe and just installing the drivers themselves through Device Manager. Didn't help. Also disabled all the other audio devices and moved the soundcard to a different PCI slot. Also nothing.
At the moment I am connected to my onboard audio, no issues. This is not a solution for me, though, as I want to use my sound card, because sound quality on it is VASTLY superior. Anyone know something that might help? The most surprising thing is that the reformats didn't work.

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. The screen will go blank. Be patient, the device will power ON again in the normal way. It is app and data safe!]

I am having the memory error -12 when try use GetCtrlBitmap from a canvas

I am using a canvas that is 759w x 15000h to draw some data, but when try to save that bitmap to a file, some times all is ok, but other i get the memory error -12. Always I´m discarding the id bitmap objet. What is happening, I not find any solution to this, any suggestion please will be welcome to help me in this application. (any leak of memory, my application in a while slow)

Una disculpa por el retraso en la respuesta, de acuerdo al fragmento de código que nos proporcionas creo que no es posible percibir el problema, te voy a pedir que nos mandes tu proyecto para poder analizar que es lo que sucede, también sería de bastante ayuda que nos proporcionaras mas información, por ejemplo, ¿has probado este programa en otra computadora?¿Con un ejmplo sobre canvas obtienes el mismo resultado?
Por ultimo te pido que nos comentes si estas programando en CVI, Visual C con Measurement Studio, etc. Recuerda que entre más información nos proporciones es más fácil ayudarte.

For video either the ATI HD 5770 or the ATI HD 5870 from Apple will work fine in your Mac Pro however you will not be able to take full advantage of the 5870 so it may be a waste. I use the 5770 with great results.
For Bluetooth I use the Belkin mini bluetooth adapter and it works great is is very small.
If you want the actual Apple Internal bluetooth card.
For the WiFi I use the original Apple WiFi cards but even a USB one thats Mac compatible will work fine.

so my arch after 5 yares crashed and i have no chice i need installa new and fresh. but problem is i need internet connection at installation, but i dont have fisicly acces to router to connect cable. i have install Atheros AR 5600 card, but i try start up and no work. i read official guide https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … e#Wireless i read sub page but its not possible because i need extra package but i cant download anyway... so my question is, can i run atheros card and configure connection from boot live CD ?? without access to internet ??

if iwconfig doesn`t detect your card then arch desn`t support it out-of-box and you need to check if there is any driver, note that some cards may no be supported by linux yet, expecially if new

MXI-4 card crashing XP system when connected to 1045 chassi.

The mxi-4 card is connected to the 8331 card in a 1045 chassi.

Have you tried this card in another PC? Also does the system crash with the card in, but while it is not connected to the MXI-4 that is in the chassis? What other devices do you have in the PXI-1045? Please provide me with a detailed descriton of your hardware set-up as well as the error you are seeing when you boot up your PC. For instance what does it say on the screen, when does the system crash, etc. One thing you might be aware of, but make sure the chassis is powered on prior to booting up your PC.

Will disabling wifi cut power to the wifi card and antenna system?

I have searched the web and even called Apple to have this question answered, nothing found online and apple support kept changing their answer. I would like to keep using the AirPort extreme with ethernet but disable the wifi. I know that turning off wifi on a Mac will cut the power to the AirPort card and stop it from emitting any kind of signal (at least this is what I have been told many times). I am wondering if this goes for the AirPort Extreme as well.
I do not have any kind of equipment to measure signal emissions so I just went off of power readings. I do not have the exact readings here with me at the moment but with wifi on and disabled the extreme uses the exact same mount of power. I know this is hardly accurate but it's all I could do
Does anyone have more detailed/technical information or the equipment to test and verify if the radio is actually disabled when wifi is turned off in AriPort Utility? Apple support told me that when wifi is disabled it will continue to broadcast a signal with the same strength, just not one that can be picked up (no name etc), that it would only stop if the power was cut completely. Then I was told, as soon as wifi is disabled there is only a very weak scattered signal left and then I was told there was no signal at all. (Amazing what kind of answers you can get if you just epeat the same question several times).

Although I do not have a spectrum analyser.. I do have an excellent ubiquiti router which will produce a spectrum which is somewhat useful at least at 2.4ghz.
I have reduced the wireless routers around me to absolute min.
And I can only do this on 2.4ghz..
So this shows a dlink from a neighbour and the TC sitting near the ubiquiti.
Then I can do a spectrum analysis.
This is with wireless on. You can see the waterfall display of plenty of signal in the channel 6 area.
Now a spectral analysis with wireless off.
You can clearly see there is now no signal at channel 6.. so wireless off has turned off the RF on the TC.

Flash 10.1 Freeze Internet Explorer when I use strokemediaplayback in intranet

When I test flash in my company intranet(cannot link internet),I found the flash will freeze the IE.
I found this when:
I open a page include flash content which use strokemediaplayback to play a movie.
The content page locate on my IIS server(not local computer).
I close IE in the first 40seconds, then IE didnot response for many seconds(about 40seconds).
I watch the Tcp connect. I found flash connect to a25-252-224-80.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com and a25-252-224-90.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com, and wait for tcp syc timeout when I do above testing.
And, I found when I test strokemediaplayback on my local computer above not happening.
Even I close the flash autoupdate in mms.cfg. Flash still connect to a25-252-224-80.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com and a25-252-224-90.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com,and wait for connect fail.
Who can answer me ,how can I do for stop this?
I test on Internet Explorer 8,and Flash 10.1.102.64 and Flash 10.1.53.64.

Update: the problem mysteriously disappeared - no clue to why.

Mac system, When I use shockwave, the response time is very slow. I have updated Shockwave.

I am running OS X 10.6.8. I am trying to do a jigsaw puzzle, but the cursor movement is slow and erratic. I have updated Adobe Shockwave, but still have the problem. The last time I updated Firefox I had the same problem and went back to the old version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In Vista type temp in the Search programs and files box and double click on the temp files icon that appears above. Delete all the files in the folder that you can. It is safe as they are exactly what they are called and that is temporary files. If you haven't done this ever or in quite a while there should be a noticeable increase in the operating system's response time.

Wifi light doesn't blink when in use?

Hi all, 64bit Win7 X220...
As best as I can tell the little green wifi light just remains solid green -- isn't it supposed to blink when there is wifi network activity? (as my previous X60 did)
I found the blinking useful -- is there something I need to do to turn that back on?

I stand corrected! That post is about how to turn the blinking off, which most people find really annoying. But you can use the same info to turn it on if you want.
We had a lot of complaints about the blinking, which is why the default behavior changed sometime around T400.

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
