Athlon XP-M 2500+ How far will it go?

I've read that this cpu has been clocked past 2500 mhz @ low voltages and temps.   Does anyone have one of these cpus, and if so what results have you had?

I have the 2600M barton, got it from Newegg. Doesnt recognize anything above 12.5x multiplier, because the bios doesnt include its Id, but its unlocked otherwise. (comes up as unrecognized CPU). I use crystal CPUID and NVIDIA system UTILITY to play around. Currently on my k7n2delta its 2675 214 FSB 12.5 , 1.7v rock stable. Goes higher but will go up slowly, temps are good because i enabled the powernow

  • How far will the extreme reach and how many users can be on there at the same time?

How far will the airport extreme reach and how many users can be on there at the same time?

Last question first, since that is the easy one......approximately 50 (fifty) users for wireless depending on how active each user might be.
The first question is much more difficult, as distance is not really the issue with wireless.....obstructions are the issue.
A wireless signal can easily travel 300 feet or more with no obstructions in the signal path.
But, a typical wall of sheetrock or wallboard in a home will absorb....on average....15-20% of the wireless signal. Brick or adobe will obviously absorb much more. A ceiling....because it is thicker....will absorb about 25-35% of the signal.
So, if the wireless signal must pass through several walls and a ceiling, there won't be much, if any, of the signal left....even though the distance that the signal travels is not great...for example, 20-25 feet.
Other wireless networks around you at the neighbors can also affect the relative strength of the wireless signal.
The bottom line....locate the AirPort Extreme where wireless devices will receive a signal with the least amount of obstructions in the signal path. Your actual performance cannot be predicted in advance. You will not know how well the AirPort Extreme works for you until you try it out in your home.
If you find that the signal does not reach as far as needed,  you will need to add additional "extenders", like an AirPort Express to provide more signal coverage.

  • How far will it reach? (if I add a second base station)

I have a functioning wireless set up in my small house now, with comcast cable connected to an extreme base station, an eMac and my G4 15" powerbook. We have an outbuilding on the property where the kids have a homework area (and where they are out of my hair <G>), and we would like to set them up with a mac mini with internet access. My wireless connection at this point, will only reach about halfway out there, on the patio. The building is roughly 100 feet behind the house. The airport extreme base station is maybe 15-20 feet inside the house from the back door (add to the 100 feet). If I put a second base station inside that back building (or an express?? maybe?), will it allow a mini on the desk inside (which is another 20 feet or so inside the building) to function on the network, and get internet access?
    thanks!

It sounds like you could install an AirPort Express
or AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) on the
patio and reach out to the "outbuilding". You will
need to connect them using WDS.
OK, this doesn't somehow sound right to me... patio... rain.... doesn't seem like a good combination. There is an in between building (in between but not 'blocking' it's to the side of 'line of sight') but it has concrete block walls in at least parts of it, which I’m afraid would interfere too much. How does the signal do trying to penetrate concrete block? And would a directional antenna help?

  • How far will my ink cartrage take me?!

I have a Photosmart C4210 All-in-One printer/scanner. I'm going to be using the standard size cartriges 75(color) and 74(black).I will be printing in "Highest DPI".
I'm printing wedding invitations on 5x7 linen paper. On the invitations are 3 plant like designs that go from top to bottom in 3 different colors (tangerine, fern green, and brown). They won't take up that much space really.  There will obviously be wording with all the information (probably in black).
How many 5"x7"  invitations do you think a single cartrige will take me (ballpark figure)??????
    thanks

Honestly, if it's anything like my previous two HP's (currently using the PSC6380), you'll be lucky to get 5-10 prints even at normal quality before you have to shell out another $50 to buy more carts. Sorry, but it's been the truth with every one of mine.
When someone starts a sentance with "Honestly" be wary of what follows.  Pardon me, but I would have to call baloney on this one.  Unless you are running multiple cleaning cycles after each print and your prints are full bleed photo's the numbers you give indicate either 1) pure deception or 2) a system in need of service.

  • How far do i go?

    hi all
well as my sig shows ive recently upgraded both my cpu and memory
    i bought p4 3.0e prescott and corsair twinx1024-4000pro modules
my question is this, how far can i go?
im using bios 2.4 on my 875p rev 01
my settings and results so far :
    performance - turbo
    dram freq 400
    cpu fsb 230 - ddr460
    timings 3448-8
    cpu volt 1.42
    dram volt 2.8v
    vga volt 1.6
    ratio 1:1
so my cpu is currently at 3.45ghz and my mem 460ddr
all is stable.  using memtest showed no errors
    sisoft sandra shows 5333mb\s
both my cpu and gpu are water cooled using zalman reserator my temps are:
cpu 44 idle 60 at load
gpu 55 idle 65 at load
how far will my cpu go and at what voltage should i stop?
    thanks in advance

I wish I found this link instead of the one I found because your link is more complete and detailed.  The link I was using only had me backup my data (I have Time Machine) and then de-authorize it in iTunes.  The link said nothing about doing anything with Find My Mac or iMessage -- wish I had known.  I just assumed that all identifying info would be wiped.  Should I call Apple or is there something I can do from my replacement computer (MacBook Air) where everything now resides.  All my data, contacts, and purchased programs are wiped from my old computer aren't they?
By the way, thank you for your initial reply.

  • How far can the Powerbook open up?

I am interested in getting a 17" Powerbook to use in our RV. If I mount it on the side of a cabinet and open it up how far will it open?

    Hello Benny
That's a really creative idea, congrats. With some more work (building some kind of custom frame), you may have a product idea that you can market.
As it is, though, I dont think it will work. The hinges on the PB are stiff enough to hold the display stable when it's in use, but they don't take excessive effort to open. I don't think they'll work if they have to bear the weight of the base - which is much heavier - instead of the display.
I think what you'd need is some kind of spring-loaded frame for the unit.
    Peace

  • How far outside the "38 cities" will 4G reach?

I'm primarily asking about West Lafayette.  I live about 3-4 miles outside of West Lafayette in the city of Lafayette.  Does anyone know how far outside the "city limits" the 4G access will reach?  If I am able to get 4G speeds, I'll hold off on upgrading until the 4G phones come out.  If not, I'll be upgrading at the end of the month.  Looking at Sprints 4G coverage maps, the service seems to reach pretty far outside the city limits.  I know it is different technology and different companies, but I was just curious how this would progress.
    Thanks

  • I want to store my music files on a NAS (which has an iTunes server built in), but I'm not sure how this will affect my iPhone sync. Will I need a local copy of my music on a computer in order to continue to sync?

    Hi,
I have an iPhone and I sync playlists to it from iTunes. (I have far in excess of 16GB of music/podcasts.)
What I want to do is permanently share my music library with all devices in the house, so I'm planning on buying a NAS server that has a built-in iTunes server. (I don't want to just use my computer to share and leave it on 24/7 because that is a phenominal waste of power.) That way all networked computers can just load the library under the 'SHARED' option in the left pane. However, this had me wondering about how I will continue to sync my music to my iPhone? I wondered if I will need to maintain a duplicate of the library on one of my computers, and then have my iPhone sync with that. Otherwise I'm not sure how it'll work.
Any help/comments/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
    Tom.

Incidentally, my first thought was to map a network share from the NAS to my computer, so that my music files appear on the Z: drive, say on my computer. I could then set up iTunes to store music etc in that folder, and to copy all new items to that folder. However, if I do that, all that'll happen is that on my NAS, the library file will become out of date as I add music to the collection but not to the index.

  • How much RAM can I put in my Macbook Pro (late 2006), and how much will it cost me?

I am currently running at a:
2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM in Memory
ATI Radeon X1600 256 MB in Graphics
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) in Software
& it's a 15inch Macbook Pro incapable of upgrading to Mountain Lion.
I know i have a lot of limitations due to the age of this mac, but I would like
to know as to how far I can go with the one that I have. Please help.

Your MBP will be able to use a maximum of 3 Gb RAM.  The exact specifications are: 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM.  Best sources are Crucial and OWC.  Their websites will have the prices.
Snow Leopard is an excellent OS.  I have it on my 2010 MBP and have no intention of installing Lion/Mt Lion.  It is stable and efficient, more so than the newer ones.  Do not view that as a handicap.
You might also consider installing a larger HDD.  Your MBP can handle the largest ones available to day (1 Tb).  For a pre-unibody MBP, it is a bit harder than the current crop but achievable of you have rudimentary mechanical skills and a bit of patience.  See the OWC website for excellent how to do it videos.
    Ciao.

The technique used to be to send messages from your procedure to a waiting shellscript listener using DBMS_PIPE. You would write a script (could be ksh, Perl, Ruby etc) on the server with a loop in which it connects to the database and waits for DBMS_PIPE messages. When it gets one, it executes the command that was contained in the message and loops around to continue waiting again.
7.3 is really ancient though. If you're running it at all this far out of support it should really just be ticking over and not subject to new development.

  • I need to know how far past the due date I can go

I lost my job and am able to pay half my bill today and the other half when my first check arrives. How far behind can you be, and do they warn you before they cut your service?

They will warn you before your service is cut off. Your best bet is to call and make a payment arrangement.

  • How far is the compatibility with PowerPoint and Keynote '09?

    Hello everyone
I love making presentations and strangely while I'm an Apple fan the only thing I still didn't convert to is iWork
Keynote is the best presentation tool I ever saw. The problem is with playing the presentations in college or anywhere else.
I know that keynote is compatible with PowerPoint, but how far?
Will the beautiful transitions and animations on keynote work on PowerPoint? Alongside with the beautiful graphics, charts and backgrounds?
    Thanks

I would say the compatibility is "just good enough". If you NEED to use it you will, but you don't want to ever NEED it.
You shoud think of the compatibility as being like trying to playback high resolution, color, widescreen, Dolby stereo content on a small black and white mono tv. There are some things that old telly just won't be capable of. Sure, you can see the motion and hear something, but you're ultimately limited by what you use to PLAYBACK the content, not what you used to CREATE it.
Because Keynote has features that PowerPoint doesn't, PowerPoint will never be able to playback exactly what you see in Keynote. The reverse is true as well.

  • How far off stage can I move a tweened object

Flash Pro CC 2014, all updates.
I have a movie clip that is about 5500 pixels wide. I need to have it enter and exit across a 1920 x 1080 stage. As I try to move it to the left, it won't let me motion tween it far enough to get it off stage. It reaches the point where the left side of the object is at -3780 and that's the limit. I can drag it farther but when I release it the movie clip snaps right back to this distance.
Also, I need to activate roving frames so the motion is smooth, but for some reason I don't get the option, it's grayed out in the menu. Don't know if this relates to problem #1 or if I am just doing something wrong.
This one is a hot potato, as usual, I have someone hyperventilating to get this back to them.
    Thanks for any help!

Except that it still won't work. That's one of the first things I tried.
If I position the mc at x = 1980 so it's left edge is just off stage, then motion tween the span, then go to the last frame of the span, I enter -5478 into the x value in the properties panel and it turns it back to -3779 when I change focus just like when I drag it. It's like there's a limit on how far it will let me go.
If the mc is not in a tween I can slide it left forever (thank you unlimited pasteboard), but in a tween it refuses to go past x = -3789. Is there a tween limit somewhere? It won't go more than 7740 to the right either, just snaps right back when you release it or change focus in the properties panel.

  • Does anyone know how far WVC80N camera can detect motions?

Like I said in the subject, does anyone knows?

As what I've known, motion detection feature on the camera actually varies not only as to any movements captured but also with the sufficient source of light. There's no exact distance as to how far it will be able to detect a certain motion however I suggest you try it from where the camera is situated, moving farther from it little by little so to give you an estimated range in your network.
