[Athlon64] Odd memory problems with K8Tneo FSR and Corsair RAM

Hi, im new to these forums, and ive already searched as much as i can if anyone else is having the same problem, but alas, no one has (or i cant find it).
Basically what has happened is that when i got the mobo out of the box, with default bios, my Corsair XMS 3200 C2 512 stick of ram ran great, with nice tight settings (2.2.2.5), and all was well.
Then i updated the bios using the windows utility, to the latest version (2.2 i think), and now i cant manually set the timings, it always goes back to the default 3.3.3.8, which is pissiing me off.
I dont know if it was a bug introduced in the bios update of what, but has anyone else had this problem?

I had a bad flash on 2.33 after trying to help the guys sort out the issues with 2.2. I had to RMA mine. MSI sent the new board with 2.2 already flashed and it has not given me a single glitch since so I am now pretty confused as to why there is such an issue with 2.2 now. I did check and the new baord is the same revission as my old board. There was nothing new that changed in hardware. U did have a bunch of issues with 2.2 on the old board though. I am nor sure what the deal is now. I would have bet the farm on the last board that 2.2 was total cheese but now I am no longer certain that its the Bios.

Memory problem with Elements 8 and Windows 7

Hi,
I have a copy of Elements 8 running on Windows 7. When I open the organiser a large amount of RAM (about 1 GB) is grabbed by a SVCHost process. The memory assosiated with the SVCHost builds up over time. When I close the application the memory is not released. It can get realy bad if I run it over night.
I have started going in and killing the process as it can effect the performance of my PC depending on what else I have running at the time.
Anyone got any ideas why this might be happening and how can I stop it. I thought it might be connected with the face recognition feature or the auto analyze cataloging feature but I have turned both of these features off in the preferences control panel.
Any ideas would be welcome, thanks in advance.

After reading your review of the Organizer part of PSE8 I think I will pass on using it and will set up my own system at least for images I take from now on. I am also upset about being enticed to upgrading and having to pay the full amount each time!
As to your suggestion to installing PSE7 first in order to find the catalogue file I hate to find myself getting into more trouble! Do you suggest that I uninstall PSE 8 and then install PSE 7? And then proceed with the other part of your trouble shooting suggestion?

Memory Problem with Oracle10g R2 and red Hat linux 2.4.21-37.EL

Hi All.
i've a 64Bit red Hat Linux 2.4.21-37.EL , 5GB Ram , 3GB Swap Space.
Oracle10g R2. i've 2 prodection database each is having 1400MB of SGA.
when i check the free meory it shows only 12mb of ram is free..why..?
and in swap space it's only 200mb is used...why..?
when i check the dbwither is taking 1.2GB of RAM why..?
can anybody help me in this ...how to get free memory or configure os level to get more free memory.

Linux uses Swap space to run applications. The RAM available may not be enough to run the applications so OS swaps the program between RAM and the swap space to run applications.
You can see your swap partition being used as the swap space with:
cat /proc/swaps

I am not good at RAM setting but the 'Timings Table' shows there is XMP-1600 profile available so I believe it would be enough to turn on that memory profile in BIOS.

Bios and memory problem with a P67A-GD80‏

Hi, I'm experiencing 2 problems with this board and I have not yet install an OS in it
first problem : in the bios if I go in the section Green Power, the system froze, I have to press reset to reboot
second problem : if I install 2 stick of memory in the blue slot, it work fine
if I remove them and place them in the black slot, it work fine
if I place 4 sticks at the same time, the system crash and reboot and make a loop
here the stick I try : Patriot PVV34G1600LLR 4 of them
G Skill F3-12800cl9q-16GBRL 4 of them
I see that new version of BIOS is supose to fix some problem with compatibility of memory, the problem is the way the board shut down when I put 4 stick, it's like the board is overload the led don't act like when you press the resset, they kind dim before the board crash

Actually, it's not likely a mainboard overload at all, it's probably the CPU IMC having the problem. Enable of X.M.P. is the last thing you want to do. If the RAM has to be set in this manner, it is not programmed to properly default at the platform's designed specifications. BIOS revisions dealing with compatibility are being worked on to make up for this RAM manipulation.
My apology to the OP in advance for the next comments. Some here at the forum have been advised before, that having to set X.M.P. to get the RAM to work properly (having to OC it) is a wrong way to go about it. The platform must first be able to run at stock/auto/default with no issues 'first', then venturing off to more exotic settings later if desired. This 'forcing' of non spec 'rated' RAM & programming is purely product marketing tactics. As mentioned, with four sticks of RAM, the CPU IMC may require an increase of DRAM V. Here is the official specifications from the current Intel data. This data is not really open to debate. For those that have issue with it, take it up with Intel!

Memory problems with PreparedStatements

I am having memory problems using "PreparedStatement" via jdbc.
After profiling our application, we found that a large number oracle.jdbc.ttc7.TTCItem objects were being created, but not released, even though we were "closing" the ResultSets of a prepared statements.
Tracing through the application, it appears that most of these TTCItem objects are created when the statement is executed (not when prepared), therefore I would have assumed that they would be released when the ResultSet is close, but this does not seem to be the case.
We tend to have a large number of PreparedStatement objects in use (over 100, most with closed ResultSets) and find that our application is using huge amounts of memory when compared to using the same code, but closing the PreparedStatement at the same time as closing the ResultSet.
Has anyone else found similar problems? If so, does anyone have a work-around or know if this is something that Oracle is looking at fixing?

From your mail, it is not very clear:
a) whether your session is an HTTPSession or an application defined
session.
b) What is meant by saying: JSP/Servlet is growing.
However, some pointers:
a) Are there any timeouts associated with session.
b) Try to profile your code to see what is causing the memory leak.
c) Are there references to stale data in your application code.

I'm working for IRM in Li?ge and we developped an application (user interface for an industrial measurement system) in Java (JDK/JRE version : 1.1.8).
We have a big memory problem with this application :
- This user interface is running on a WINDOWS NT PC with 128MB.
- This is the command to lanch our application :

- But when we look in the "Windows NT task manager" for the "jrew" application, the memory increases ALWAYS.
- After 5 days our application is completely frozen and blocked ...???

We had a memory problem with a swing applet in our company. The major reason for this was that we added new components in a JTree and removed them later again, and the components we removed were never garbage collected. This was because with these components we added different listeners, and we didn't remove the listeners after we didn't need the components anymore. After we corrected this, the components where garbage collected.
Perhaps it's a similar problem you have, or I have no idea. Check that you remove actionlisteners, mouselisteners etc from components you want to be garbage collected.

Memory problem with 5330 XpressMusic

I seem to have a memory problem with my 5330, I have a 1Gb micro disc installed. My son sent me a photo from his phone, when it arrived I got a warning on the scren that 'there is not enough memory to receive messages', I have tried to delete as much as I can, a lot tells me I can't delete it, but I still get the same warning. This warnig shows up each time I switch on the phone. How can I get myself more space? Can I move things from the phone memory to the memory card?

Are you sure you're using a 5330 XpressMusic? Or is it a 5320 XpressMusic? The former is yet to be released, AFAIK.
Assuming that you are using a 5320, try these steps:
-> Move all photos, music, videos stored in the phone memory to the memory card. You can use the built-in File Manager to accomplish this.
-> Delete all files that you would've received via bluetooth, present in your Inbox. You can save them to the mass storage.
-> Clear the browser cache.
-> Clear the Sent Items folder.
-> Make sure you don't have too many messages in your inbox.

Memory problem with ITS

Hello friends,
we are having memory problem with integrated ITS.. on one application server all memory of ITS is getting exhausted. We think few users take lots of memory and it never gets released.
I checked Note 742048 - Integrated ITS, memory requirement in application server but parameters looks ok. Sometime, when i kill a user session in SM04, some part of memory was released. However i am not able to find which sessions are taking max memory as i do not see any workproess active in SM50.

I have the same problem recently. I bought my nokia 3220, 3 years ago and all was ok but now I download some free themes from a web site and suddenly I realized that my cellphone has less memory. In the phone options says that I have 2,2 MB in my Gallery when actually I have only 800 KB in my Gallery. I don't know what happen!! Maybe it's a virus or what is the solution?? Is the replacement exactly the same as the original ie same memory size & same version? If so it may require updating the OS software before trying to restore your stuff from the backup.

I have been working on my memory problems with this board. Memtest failed every pass yet memory was fine and board was fine. Was using Kingstone Value Ram

now working great no more blue screens or os getting corupt it seems to run like a charm

i was having mem problems with this board. But i set up bios v2.2 - ram voltage 2.75 - performance mode: slow and ram timing by SPD.
Seems to work great for me but my video card is messed up so my comp dies every ones in a while.

I am just curious as to other people's experiences with the ListView
widget when elements in it are set to be draggable. In particular, I am
currently trying to design an interface that looks a lot like Windows
Explorer where a TreeView resides on the left side of the window and a
ListView resides on the right side. Upon double clicking on the
ListView, if the current node that was clicked on was a folder, then the
TreeView expands this folder and the contents are then displayed in the
ListView, otherwise, it was a file and it is brought up in Microsoft
Word. All this works great if I don't have the elements in the ListView
widget set to be draggable. If they are set to be draggable, then I am
finding that the DoubleClick event seems to get registered twice along
with the ObjectDrop event. This is not good because if I double click
and the current node is a folder, then it will expand this folder in the
TreeView, display the contents in the ListView, grab the node that is
now displayed where that node used to be displayed and run the events
for that as well. What this means, is that if this is a file, then Word
is just launched and no big deal. Unfortunately, if this happens to be
another directory, then the previous directory is dropped into this
current directory and a recursive copy gets performed, giving me one
heck of a deep directory tree for that folder.
Has anybody else seen this, or am I the only lucky one to experience.
If need be, I do have this exported in a .pex file if anybody needs to
look at it more closely.

Problems with Customer Service AND unexplained charges!

I've been with Verizon for I-don't-know-how-many years, and through the years you are bound to have a few problems here and there but some of the problems are just ridiculous! It's also the same reocurring problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was with Alltel first, before it was bought out by Verizon. The years I was with Alltel, I didn't have near as many problems. It seems EVERY time I do the smallest change or something to my phone or bill, I get a ridiculous amount of charges that I was NOT aware of, nor told about... EVEN IF I ask "So this isn't going to change my bill, or there will not be any unexpected/unexplained charges that I don't know about?"... BUT not matter how many times I ask... and NO matter how many times I am told "no"... there always is. For example.... last year, I updated and signed a new 2 year contract and purchased the first Driod. Before, my 30 day warranty was up, I was having problems with my Driod, and decided to send it in and get a new one. Before I did this.. I called customer service to make sure there would be no interuption in my bill, and there wouldn't be any unexpect charges, and there would be no difference in anything. I was told there was not, and once I recieved my new phone, just send it in and nothing would be changed. Of course, when I get my bill.. I see I was charged $500 for the new phone. It was explained to me that my credit card was reimbursed (which I never check that card, because I never used it expect to purchase the phone) and that I was recharged for the new phone, since it was a new phone. So I had to fork out the $500 (on top of my bill) and then wait months to get the $100 rebate card. Months after that, I "assumed liablity of my line" because I was on a plan with my family. I decided to have my own line, so I "assumed liability." I was not told that when I did that, I "renewed" my contract date. So I just added 6 more months to my 2 year contract. Was NOT told about that! Then again...... I was recently having problems with my Driod (the screen went black and would not come back on.) I had to turn on an OLD motorola razor, so I would not be without a phone for two days while I was waiting on my phone to come in. As soon as my phone came in, I had my Droid turned back on. I recieved my bill recently, and my bill was $200 over what it normally should be.... so I called in... apparently, when I had my phone replaced, they dropped off my data package and when I recieved my replacement driod, they never put it back on. So I was being charged for alllll my data usage... again I was NOT told about this. I wasn't even aware that they had dropped off my data package, and when/where did they get the authority to do that??? These are just a FEW of the problems that I have had.................................

I understand that my bill can be viewed online, and I do view it fairly regularly, so if there are any unexplained charges, I can call Verizon asap. The problem does not come from me not understanding my bill, but from customer service. I have been with Verizon for a very long time, and it is a continuing problem. Where did Verizon get the 'OK' to drop my data package off my plan? Who authorized that?
After calling Verizon and trying to find out the problem, the gentleman told me that when I activated on old phone while I was waiting on my new Droid to arrive, my data package was dropped off and I "should" have been told about that. When I reactiviated my new Droid, I "should" have called and had them restart my data package. I was not aware that when you activate an old phone that data plan is taken off your plan. In all my years of having cell phones, I never make two years with one phone. I have always, at one point, had to turn on an old phone, and my data package has NEVER changed. Why would I have my data package dropped and why would I have to call Verizon to have it restarted. I would never know to do that unless I was TOLD that my data packaged HAD to be re-added when I recieved my new phone, but I was never told of that.
All of that is beside the point, the point is, Verizon was never given the authorization to change my plan. Never. My bill was taken care of and readjusted, and I am thankful for that. It does not change the fact it is always a hassle with Verizon Customer Service and I am always the one having to PROVE that I am not at fault, or that I was NEVER told of certian things. EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE, I AM TOLD "I'M SORRY, THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD YOU THAT."
"they should" does not help my bill with the extra armount of charges.
