[Athlon64] Should I use the 24 pin PSU converter ?

I guess this issue has been raised several times before, but I wanted to have a second opinion again.
I currently have a Cooler Master eXtreme Power (RS-430-PMSR/P) PSU
Specifications:
430 Watts
+3.3V/25A, +5V/32A, +12V/19A, -12V/0.8A, +5VSB/2A
20 pins motherboard connector.
I am planning to upgrade to MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum which has the 24 pin connector, Nvidia Geforce 6600GT, 2 optical drives, 2 PATA drives and slightly OC to a safe limit.  I believe I can use the 20 pin connector on the motherboard, but I also have the 20 pin to 24 pin converter. So will it be better to use the 20 pin connector alone on the motherboard or use the converter to convert the 20 pin PSU to 24 pin?

I've heard that most 24 pin boards run just fine with just the 20 pin plug... just has long as your PSU has enough amps on the 12v for proper function. Might be a different story if you have a fully populated SLI setup though.
I don't see why they wouldn't as most new PSU's come with a plug that is essentially a 20 pin that just has a detachable 4 pin add on. Of course if you need the PCI-e power plugs and don't have any adapters for those, you may as well upgrade anyhow.

  • We have 4 iphones in our family and an Ipad.  When we purchase music I would like for the entire family to be able to use it.  Should each of us use a different apple account or should we use the same one.

We have 4 iphones and an Ipad in our family. When we purchase music, I would like for the entire family to be able to use it and then back it up to Icloud. What is the best and cheapest way for this to happen.  Should we all have a different apple id or should we use the same one.

You will all need to be on the same itunes account ID.
You can however all have seperate icloud accounts aswel.

  • I have an apple id for my ipod touch at home. My company is planning to issuing Ipads. Should I use the same apple id on the ipad for those apps I purchase and would like to purchase and use on my work ipad?

Yes, otherwise you will have to pay for those apps again. If an app is purchased by one Apple ID, he/she will be able to redownload it again for no cost (note: this does apply to songs, but NOT to movies).

  • HT1454 iPad 2, using the 30-pin to HDMI adapter - White Snow/Noise

I have an iPad 2 using the Apple HDMI adapter - http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A/apple-digital-av-adapter
I actually have 2 adapters and have tried them both with the same results.  Both adapters work as intended on my HDTV.  However when I attempt to use them on my HD projector I get White Noise/Snow/Static.
    Projector - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824219118
The projector finds the source fine but then displays the static instead of the iPad screen.  The iPad screen will flicker into view every minute or so for about 1 second.  Then back to the static.  I have used many other HDMI devices with these projectors (I have 2 and they both do the same thing with iPad).
Has anyone else experienced this issue?  Has anyone had any luck using the 30-pin to VGA adapter?

It will not work on the Original iPad (see compatibility)

  • IPhone 5 doesn't work with Bose sound dock using the 30-pin adapter.

I just upgraded to iPhone 5.  To my huge disappointment, I can not use it with my Bose sound dock using the 30-pin adapter. That is just ridiculous, after spending so much money!!! I tried using another cable and it works but sound is of poor quality

I have the SoundDock 10 and generally use the Bluetooth connection.
I have just reinserted the 30 pin normal socket ( as in normal SoundDock)
the Apple 30 pin to lightning adapter and with iPhone 5 have perfect
    sound
It works so something in your set up is faulty possibly the adapter

  • Should I use the fine-grained auditing?

I need to record the changes (of data) made to serveral tables by users. For example, I have to check the before and after images of the changes and what kind of transactions they do to cause the changes. Sould I program the logging procedure in the application or should I use the fine-grained auditing function of oracle to do it. I am not sure what this built-in function can do for me. Can anyone give me some advice on this? Thks.
    A beginner

    Why Fine-Grained Auditing?
You may want to check standard auditing if it is suitable for you
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/network.102/b14266/cfgaudit.htm#BABCFIHB
I don't think you can get pre and post update values of the affected data with Auditing.
FGA is useful when you want to audit just a "subset" of the data in the table.
(for instance, audit everyone that wants to get all records from EMP table where SALARY > 100000)

  • HT5498 Using the 30 pin adapter unable to access music on the car

Using the 30 pin adapter from mini iPad unable to access music in the car

30 pin adapte connected to what exactly?
Also iPads are not normal MP3 players, as such they don't have a regular file system the car media center can read to get music files.
You may be able to play the music through bluetooth if the car supports it. Or have the iPad send the music, but the Car media center will likely not be able to actually index the files in it.

  • Should i use the same pass words on my macbook that i use on my ipad?

HI...I have 2 questions...I am thinking about buying a macbook pro and when I set it up...should I use the same apple ID as I use on my ipad?
Then...does the macbook pro have Java and Flash Player so I can play all the Pogo games?

You should use the same Apple ID. The same Apple ID must be used in all your devices in order to sync data through iCloud and get the purchases you make in all your devices, for example. Also, you can register your devices to your Apple ID, receiving a better support if you have any problem.
The MacBook Pro is compatible with Java and Flash Player, but it doesn't come with them preinstalled. To install Flash, visit the Adobe site > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer Respecting to Java, OS X will ask you to install it when you want to play Java content

If that doesn't work make an appointment at an Apple store.

My 2011 MBP has begun running slow with frequent 'spinning beach ball' events. I'm running Yosemite and wondered if I should of use the original install disk for a maintenance reinstall. I presume I'd have to download Yosemite again, though I'd be happy just using Snow Leopard again too.
    Thanks for the help.

When you see a beachball cursor or the slowness is especially bad, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

What is the advantage(s) and the disadvantage(s) ?

    When I use innerclasses?
    1) Allmost allways when I need simple owner child behavior.
    2) When I need a behaviour, that is quite small, and used only once, I make it anonymous inner class. For example specialised streams and threads.

  • Which situation should we use the text item with the item category TATX

    Dear experts!
    Thank you for your attention!
I am confused with text item (TATX).
which situation should we use the text item with the item category TATX????
Someone told me that the text item is dummy and should be used as a manual of certain standard item. But the manual may be a book or several papers and it also takes up some inventory not a dummy.
So, could some body tell me what the text item (TATX) exact is and what function it has.
    Best regard!
    Tangdark

    Hi,
you can use TATX if you like to enter a text and to print some information between the item lines.

  • When should I use the power adapter?

I just installed a wireless router. Should I use the power adapter when I'm not going to use the Macbook for several hours? Does the Macbook drain the battery when it is shut down or sleeping?

When should I use the power adapter?
Whenever you are near a power outlet. Not 100% of the time, of course (you have to flex the battery sometimes) but as often as possible.
Should I use the power adapter when I'm not going to use the Macbook for several hours?
If you are near an outlet, yes.
Does the Macbook drain the battery when it is shut down or sleeping?
When sleeping, it drains a negligible amount.

I have an Ipad first generation with IOS 5.1.1. and I have just got a new ipad mini. Should I use the back up copy of the old Ipad from Itunes to configure the new one, or it is better to configure the new one from scratch?

Contrary to the opinion above, I see no reason whatsoever why you can't set up the new iPad from the backup of the old one. Obviously you will have app updates to make and complete and that sort of thing, but if you want to retain all of your app data and device settings (some of which will change because of the updated iOS), I would certainly restore from the backup first.
If you find that to be problematic, you can always start all over again.
