[Athlon64] win XP doesn't load if USB devices are connected

K8T Neo2 Series-K8T800 Pro. I connected HP 7450, HP Scanjet 4600, ADSL modem at the usb ports and win XP Home wouldn't start! I could only connect usb devices after win is loaded! Is there a BIOS that corrects the Inconvenience?

usb devices where it works:
keyboard, mouse, ipod
if i connect a hauppauge USB tv box or my speedtouch ADSL modem, it disconnects sometime soon after

You may be exceeding the total power available on the USB bus. If that is the case, one solution may be to get a self-powered USB hub. Connect the iPod and other devices that are frequently connected and disconnected on-the-fly to the hub. This will also reduce wear-and-tear on the more valuable USB ports on the computer. You can always get another $20 USB hub. Make sure it is the type that has its own power supply.

I started to do that then it said that this will become their apple I.D or similar and then I thought that will disconnect them from the same iTunes? I want them still on my iTunes as they are only young (8 and 10)? Or have I got this all wrong and even if I do set them up with a different e-mail will they still be on my itunes? An error occurred while USB device is connected to your Horizon View 6.1 desktop

Hi,
Recently we upgraded View from 5.3 to 6.1. Currently I use the virtual desktop agent 5.3.3 (VMware-viewagent-x86_64-5.3.3-2299613). USB redirection works fine.
If I update the agent to 6.1 (VMware-viewagent-x86_64-6.1.0-2509441), the USB redirection is no longer working with this error message:
An error occurred while USB device is connected to your Horizon View desktop.
Any suggestions are welcomed.

Error -4 is almost always an indication that the connection between the AirPort Utility application and the AirPort router is is being blocked by....
1) The Windows Firewall
2) Microsoft Security Essentials...if installed on your PC
3) The anti-virus software
4) 1&2, or 2&3, or 1&3, or all of the above
When I used to use a PC, the only way that I could ever get the AirPort setup was to turn off all of the items above, configure the AirPort, then turn everything back on again.
Life would be tons easier if you had an iPhone or iPad to configure the AirPort Extreme, or you could borrow a Mac for a few minutes.

OS X installers have always been fairly specific, hardware-wise. I haven't read anything reflecting that situation with the Recovery HD, so it may be that the Recovery HD created for the MacBook Pro does not have the necessary drivers for the Mac Pro. Obviously, nothing definitive here, but a possibility.

Hi. I have an iPod mini and a Window XP desktop. I've checked my computer as stated in the forum. I know I have a USB 2.0 port according to one of the posts I've read, but I guess it's not a high speed LOL. So I was wondering if it takes more time to fully recharge the iPod mini with a non High-Speed USB Hub than it does with the High-Speed USB Hub.

Satellite A500-19Q: Win 7 doesn't load - UNMOUNTABLE BOOT VOLUME

Hy everybody,
I'm working since 2 months with my new A500-19Q running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit.
Yesterday night the system has been regularly stopped with the windows "shut down" command.
Today, the machine doesn't load win 7 at all.
If I let the loading work, the system reaches the blue screen with "UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME".
If I try to recover the system with the recovery dvd made some time ago by Toshiba Utility, the starts to load informations but after some hard drive work, it stop with black screen and the arrow cursor, but anything else.
I downloaded and burt the Windows 7 64bit Repair Disc, but as already sad, the system start loading but it doesn't get to the end.
So it seems impossible to proceed with "chkdsk /f" command.
What should I do finally?

Hi
The blinking cursor in the left upper corner means that something could be wrong with the HDD or the partition on the HDD.
I had such issue some years ago on my notebook and in my case the HDD died it was a head crash.
Anyway I think you should check if the HDD can be formatted using another disk
You could try an Linux live CD or something like that

My iCloud doesn't load on all devices anymore. Can anyone help?

I use to be able to log into iCloud and view my photos on my iPhone, iPad and PC but now. I can only see my photos on the device I took the photo from. If I take a pic with my iPhone then try to view it on my iPad it doesn't load anymore. I hate this. Things were so much easier when I just had to long into my iCloud. Help please.

    1.    Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
    2.    Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
    3.    Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

Satellite A30: Doesn't recognise any USB devices.

My computer doesn't recognise any of the devices when connected to the USB Port on my Satellite A30. After dowloading SP2 I was able to install the printer but I can't use it because there is no printer icon on the tool bar. If i want to print anything i get the printer window, i select the print then it goes to MS Office Image writer. Basically, I can't use my printer or any other device connected to a USB port.
However, It was working perfectly well when I had the XP home edition but I can't reinstall that one because there is something wrong with the recovery disk that's why I had to install the XP Pro.
Also, I used to get a sound, letting me know that a device has been connected. I don't get that anymore nor the icon on the toolbar.
Is there anything I could do to resolve this issue please? Is it possible to obtain another recovery disc somehow? Obviously this is something to do with XP Pro software but I don't know what to do.

This is what the problem is the only printer window i have is the MS Office Image Writer. I do not have any other printer window. If I use add a printer, then the wizzard can't detect a USB device.
I have just checked the link you gave me and did exactly what it said but it just doesn't help. It is not just my printer, it doesn't detect any device i connect to it. For example, I can't update my ipod anymore because the computer doesn't detect the ipod when it is connected.
I really don't know what the problem is! It was working perfectly fine before the upgrade and for the upgrade i have used the official MS Windows XP disk.
You woudn't know how to format the HDD by any chance, would you?

I have a new satellite A100 notebook. I installed 2 device USB (modem ADSL and Webcam).
I can't reboot my pc with device in, because I have a black screen. The hard disk doesn't work,
and SO doesn't start.
If i reboot without device, SO starts corretely.

This include with battery and ac power? Some USB devices drain to much power so the machine can not run correctly. I want to say that any problems you have with peripheral devices can be targeted to those devices. As it is, you might just have a loose HDD as well which could result in this problem. Take the devices out and start the computer, once it is started check all the settings and make sure they are correct. Check the USB devices on another computer that is the exact same and see if the problem persists on this machine. If so, it is your devices that are faulty. If not, your computer has a problem. First try and reinstall your OS from scratch using your recovery CD. But first back up all your data prior. After the reinstallation try the devices again, if they still malfunction, try other USB devices to see if the result is the same. If so take the computer to your ASP. And have them test your USB ports. You might have a faulty MB or some other problem. Thanks and I hope this helps.

Trackpad doesn't work for 5 seconds after any USB device is connected

This is really irritating. I could plug in any USB device - a hard drive or iPhone, and the trackpad will not work for about seconds of trying to get the pointer to move around the screen. Normally there's nothing connected to the Mac, so when something is plugged in, even if I just plug something in and walk away from it and come back some time later, if I try to move the trackpad, nothing will happen for about 5 seconds after trying to move the mouse pointer. Very strange.
Any idea what's going on?

Seems like a strange problem. You could try putting dbus earlier in the list, second after syslog-ng is where I used to have it. Moving to systemd might fix it too.

Miix 3 1030 USB OTG doesn't detect any USB device

Two month ago I bought new Miix3 1030 tablet. I bought USB OTG cable but no devices are recognized. Can somebody suggest a USB OTG cable that is 100% compatible with Miix3 1030 tablet?

My Ipad doesn't connect to wifi while all other devices are connected.

My iPad doesn't connect to wifi anymore while all other devices in the same network are connected including iPod.
iPad was connected this morning, but quit connecting since this afternoon.
It tries to connect, but everytime connects, it disconnect within a second, and it keep doing the same thing.
This is the first time ever I see this problem since I started using this iPad.
What happened to my iPad??

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button
