ATI card not recognised

Hi all
I have New Macbook Pro 15inch bought 2 months ago. I upgraded to new OSX Lion however I just noticed that the ATI card does not have a display attached to it and the computer is running on the built in Intel Graphics. As a result the animations have become really choppy. Is there any way to get the ATI card recognised? Why does it not have a display connected to it? I haven't done anything to the computer except for the official updates.

Resolved the issue: Energy saver option automatically shifts the graphics performance to intel builtin chip.

I'm trying to purchase movies and songs form the itunes store but every time I enter my credit card details it rejects then and I get the error message, credit card not recognised by a US bank, it's a wells and fargo checking card with visa debit, this is very frustrating because every time I approach teh bank they say it's the vendor and every time I call apple technical they say it's the bank, Does anyone have any suggestions?

Contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of the Credit Card FAQ page and explain the problem to them.

Just FYI, the iTunes Store has no telephone support. Apple technical support cannot help with problems with the iTunes Store, so if you try calling, they'll either say that they can't help or will just guess.

GTX770 graphics card not recognised - Z97 Gaming 5

I have a GTX650Ti and a GTX770 into my Z97 Gaming 5. The GTX650 works fine, but the 770 is not recognised by the board at all.
I tried the 770 in every slot, with or without the 650.
I tried swapping the power cables to both cards and it did not make a difference,
I then removed the 770 and put it in the board I was replacing, using the same cables and power supply and it worked fine.
The BIOS has been updated to version 1.3
I checked the board explorer in the BIOS and it shows that slot as empty.
Any clues why this would happen? Is there anything I need to do to get this card to work?

I bought a 2GB Kingston memory card for my nokia 7373. I put photos on it from a converter in my computer, but when I put it in my 7373 it does not recognise the card. However, my friend's 7373 recognises the card and it works fine. The memory card slot on my phone does not appear broken to me. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make the card work in my phone of or what could be wrong?

if your card works on your friends phone then the mmc is fine something is wrong with your phone.it can be hardware.though it does not appear faulty from outside but there are filters which might have got spoilt and therefore it is better to visit to NSC.

Hi Guys,
I recently upgraded a few bits to my Dell studio 5 which is somewhat of it's age now. I put a solid state in, upped the RAM and also installed windows 8.1.
The machine has been running a treat, almost as though it was a new beast, however this has been at a price. Elements within Photoshop now do not work such as the 3D elements and paint brush tip preview amongst a few other things, however the 3D elements not working is a problem. As a designer, its quite important I have these features working, but since my upgrades and enhancements its cost me. I have been on the ATI website (Now AMD) and downloaded a fair few versions of the drivers for my ATI Radeon 4500. I even installed the new patch for windows 8 but to no avail.
I am wondering if anyone has had this issue and got around it. I have read loads of different forums and tried all sorts of installs but its still not working.
Give me a shout if you have beat this annoying issue

X-fi card not recognised in VI

Anyone have any idea why my X-FI Extreme Music PCI card isn't recognised in Vista Home Premium 32-bit (OEM)?
And before anyone says it's my hardware... well I have a dual-boot option for win2k + Vista and the sound works perfectly in Win2K so I can at least assume the card, mobo and speakers are working.
When I load up the most recent drivers (the only ones I can find for download?) I'm told that I don't have a valid product installed.
When I try to install using VISTA's new hardware recognition - I browse to the driver location and I'm told that it's not a valid driver, which isn't really surprising because it's an .exe. are their .inf files around still in VISTA?
Anyways, no sound and my AC97 mobo integrated sound doesn't work in Vista.

It?is obvious that this problem is fairly widespread there is even commentregarding Creative poping up at Microsoft. It is not the hardware as I have adual boot system and my XP Pro x64 OS has no problems whatsoever. Yes there are .inf files?but only a couple, both cover my nvidia?graphics card. In fairness to Creative all factor producers except nvidia and ATI have beenvery slow responding to Vista, many have nothing at all regarding Vista ontheir sites which I find astounding. Its the only OS I have seen from Microsoftthat li'ves up to expectations. Please note x64 Vista will only accept signed dri'ves approved by WQHL soif this has helped cause the problem then blame Microsoft and Patchguard. N. T.W.

WinXP SP3 and Boot Camp 2.1 | Win BSOD ATI card not correct!

Configuration:
Loaded and OEM WinXP SP3 on an iMac with Boot Camp V2.0. All worked correctly.
Immediately after Boot Camp 2.0 completed installed Boot Camp V2.1. All worked correctly.
Problem:
Working in Windows the OS triggered a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) after the OS was up for approximately 10 minutes. This was a repeatable problem.
Investigation:
Downloaded Windows DeBug utility to analyze the crash dump files from the BSODs. For reference on how to read the Windows dmp files and how to use Windows DeBug utility see the following link.

Determined that the fault was caused by a driver file ati2mtag.sys.
Checked the version with the latest availble from the manufacturer ATI. It was the most recent version
Analysis:
In Windows right click on My Computer, go to Properties.
Go to the Hardware tab in Properties, and then to the Device Manager, drop down the Display adapters. The model shown was a Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT!
This is WRONG, the video card in this iMAC is a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro.
Conclusion:
Windows and or Boot Camp loaded the incorrect video drivers for the video card.
Solution:
1. Download and install Dot Net 2.0 because the ATI driver installer requires this level to install required drivers. The download is available at the following link.

2. Go to ATI driver support page and download the latest Catalyst driver for 32-bit XP.

3. After download, launch the installer, just proceed with the installer until it gets to the point where it pops up an error message saying that the installer could not find a suitable driver for your hardware.
4. Close out the installer and right click on My Computer, go to Properties.
5. Go to the Hardware tab in Properties, and then to the Device Manager, drop down the Display adapters, and you should see Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT, this is incorrect.
6. Right click on the video card and choose Update Driver, you will be now see a Hardware Update Wizard.
7. It says Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software? Select No, not this time, and click Next... Now you should see What do you want wizard to do? Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced), and click Next.... On the next page select Don't Search. I will choose the driver to install, click Next....
8. On the lower right corner of the Wizard, Have Disk... Now click Browse and go to C: > ATI > Support > Driver, and select the inf file in there, click Open.
9. Scroll through to locate and then select ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro, and install that, you might get a message saying this driver isn't certified, ignore it and continue.
10. After completion, reboot.
My system is now running correctly, no more BSOD's!

hmm, is it possible that the same problem of the imac is mine on the macpro with 2 ati 2600 cards?
from where do you know that the recginized xt card is wrong and it must the pro version? cause of the 256mb to 512mb at the offical xt version?

HP Pro 3500 G2 Microtower PCIeX1 Serial Cards not recognised

I am trying to install a Serial card into each of the three PC's recently bought for a customer.
The first serial card I tried was a Chrono's Card, supposedly compatable all the way through to Win8.
Device Manager does not even recognise the card when I boot into Windows 7 64 Pro.
Next I fiddled in the BIOS, the port is NOT disabled.
There does not seem to be an BIOS update available, and I did install the latest chipset drivers.
I also tried another Mecer Serial Card, same story.
Tried the card in another non-HP computer, works like a charm.
If someone can assist me to find what the problem might be that would be great.

Additional Info: According to device manager everything that it picks up is working properly. Nothing with yellow exlamation marks. The motherboard only has one PCIEX16 slot and one PCIEX1 slot.
My last resort will be a USB-Serial cable, they are fiddly and un-proffesional.

HT5957 Since upgrade to 7.0.2 no longer able to connect to my mobile network - sim card not recognised

Quite simply as described above. Upgraded to 7.0.2 this afternoon. All was fine until I restarted phone in a place where I know mobile coverage is weak. Since then I've been unable to connect to my mobile network, my sim card doesn't seem to be recognised by my iPhone 5 and I can't return to a previously reliable configuration because I can't switch off Find My iPhone from the device. Help!!

I have a DM*******FJ3 iPad
I put a SIM card in it and it worked beautifully
I went away the sim does not work abroad and updated the management programme while away
When I came back the sim wouldn't work and when rebooted after update an error message no SIM appeared and it has been there since
I booked an Apple review at the shop in lakeside they were unable to find a fault said it was a hardware problem and I would need to buy a new iPad
I then phoned apple apple help who talked me through a reset
At the reset a lot of photos of the birth of my granddaughter went missing the albums they were in was missing
I then booked an appointment at Genius Bar in covent garden
They backed up the computer on arrival
Their conclusion was the photos lost forever as the back up had overwritten the backed up photos that hasn't downloaded properly when reinstating backup
The pins in the iPad drawer for the sim are broken and I need a new iPad
Apart from being furious that despite apple knowing the problem was about lost photos they have by their actions lost them
The sim stopped working without the drawer being opened
The only people to open the drawer since it stopped working are apples employees so if pins are broken apple has broken them and still haven't identified the more likey software problem that stopped the sim working as it happened afte an update
It is impossible to visualise the pins in the SIM card slot I have tried with an ophthalmoscope and can't see them so how an Apple employee can see with his naked eye is beyond me
This seems to be a problem with this iPad as the net is littered with problems regarding this fault so I'm sure Apple know about it
My friend with a company use of these iPads has had several develop this problem and they have been replaced as staff have admitted to him it is a known fault
Wy should so done have one level of truth compared to another
Staff should not lie just to get someone out of a shop if they really don't know the answer
I feel I have highlighted several staff training issues and would like some reassurance that action is being taken about this don't seem to be able to find a way to complain to Apple Anyone know how?
There is an obvious problem with the SIM card comparability in this iPad I believe a software problem and would to know if it is actually being addressed and when a new update comes out will it ever work again or do I really have a useless piece of equipment now?
Are my photos really lost as staff have been useless at everything else I can't help but hope they don't know a retrieval route for this either

Actually, I'm sorry. I just re-read your post and you were certainly clear. I somehow got it in my head you set up the new phone from iCloud backup.
Since you've had the phone one week (I hope I got that right at least?) you are entitled to technical support directly with Apple. I'd either call them (1-800-MY-APPLE) or schedule a meeting at the Genius Bar at your Apple Store. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.

Micro SD card not recognised

I have a 32 GB Sandisk Micro SD card. After DP 8.1 it was not being recognized in my Lumia 525.I had forgotten to remove my SD card during the update. Now it is not being recognized in any device. I have tried in a SD card reader, Samsung Galaxy Pop, Lumia 520, Nolia 2700, Nokia 6630 and Nokia 5800.
I had a similar issue in the same SD card on Samsung Galaxy Pop, when I removed the SD card without dismounting it. It was locked to that device. I don't remember how I got it working again. I think I just put it in the same device and it started working again.
I have restored my Lumia 525 back to WP8, but it is still not recognizing my SD card.
Also I am unable to download games such as Asphalt 7 and NOVA which I got free as a promotion while buying the phone. Previously if I click buy, It used to say that you already own this game and I can download. Now It says that This game is not available for your device.
Please help.

Hi, Wildsdi. Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions. For your MicroSD card concern, have you tried using another SD card on your phone? This is for us to isolate if this is an accessory-related. As for the apps, are you referring to the Gamesloft app promotions? Where do you see the error and how are you trying to reinstall them? Is it via the website (windowsphone.com) or through the Store app? Since this promotion has ended, the Store will require you to purchase them again.

Sim Card not recognised carrier help!!!!

I have an iPhone from Apple as a replacement for my o2 iphone 3GS as there was an error with the silent button.
I was using it fine and then yesterday I turned the phone on and found the connect to itunes logo.
After connecting to itunes it is telling me that my sim card is not an official carrier for that phone???
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the reply, I'm in the UK but my only mind boggle is that I was able to walk out of the Apple store 3weeks ago after a member of staff swapped the sim cards for me with an iPhone working on the O2 network but suddenly wake up to an iPhone that will now only accept orange???
How can this happen? Surely I need to get it back to apple in London?

Graphics Card not Recognised on Z97 Gaming 9 AC

Hi,
I'm hoping someone here can help me. I have a Z97 Gaming 9 AC Motherboard and a Zotac GTX970 Graphics card.
All 3 PCIe slots are showing as empty in the Bios. I have to use the onboard HDMI to get into Windows 7.
I've tried updating the Bios to the BETA version from this forum using the flasher tool but it hasn't helped.
The fans on the card are spinning so I think it has power. It has two 6 pin power cables coming from my Corsair 750 psu. I've tried different cables and different sockets on the psu.
I've read through this forum for over two days before posting here.
Please help me!

Well yeah, you would have to have VERY bad luck in order to get both cards broken.
Get your friend test your cards and we'll see what can be done.
Did you try switching BIOS A to B? Might be BIOS A corrupted (if I remember it right, this board has dual BIOS?)
My last thought: if cards work fine in friend's PC, take your CPU out and look for bent pins in the socket. Also look around the motherboard for any damage signs or similar (colour differences etc).

Cf card not recognised in osx?

I am trying to mount my cf card from my canon 7d so that I can download the firmware update for the camera and install it on the camera. I can load photos from the camera via a USB and iPhoto but cannot get the cf card to mount on my imac

Check in disk utility to see if it shows up there. If it does, then you would have the option to mount or repair the disk.
