ATI problems, what does AMD says?
When I was a Windows user I was an ATI fan, unfortunately I keep this idea also in linux...
As you probably know ATI newer cards gives LOTS of trouble in linux as first there is no open source driver support and the closed source is unbearably slow.
After reading around in the Internet I understood the only solution is buying an nVidia. But I have a 2000$ expensive laptop and I do not have money to buy an other one atm...
I was wondering, do someone knows what AMD says officially about this? About the fact its customers says each other to buy nVidia? Will they make a decent driver soon or later?
I tried to seek in the official site but I do not found much, do someone know more?
I am wondering since I am considering to sell this computer hoping to obtain at least 1000$ and buy a new one, surely less capable (as spec) but with an nVidia so I can at least play high quality movies without frame drop.
(it is so bad that even if I use xterm when I am compiling something that does lots of output it happens X uses all the CPU not gcc.... :S )

Has anyone put in a non-AT&T SIM card in their iPhone? What does it say on the screen? Does it ask you for a code?
Just cross-checking with mine.You don't need to open the iPhone to remove the SIM. There's a depressed button on the top that you can press with a bent paperclip, and the SIM tray pops right out. Actually, it's something that's recommended to do prior to sending iPhone in for service, if and when necessary. But, SIM cards for third parties are still not supported for use within the iPhone, and I'm sure there's some software or hardware limitations in place to prevent it from being hacked (for the time being).

I am trying to create my own pop-up menu in Layout, Story and Galley views when user right clicks on a specific portion of the text inside the story.
To achieve this, I’ve added an event watcher to intercept right mouse click. First I test to see if user right-clicked on a document using IEvent::QueryTargetWindowInterface(IID_IDOCUMENTPRESENTATION).
Next, I need a method, to return the story's UIDRef or TextModel and TextIndex closest to the click location.
I am looking high and low for this method to no avail. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

I agree, also another thing to consider the apps on other platforms uses the same access rights but the only diffrence is the Android shows you what is needed to be access... Like Scur reported the applications have to access areas of software to give you options that users want in the apps..
Now I am not saying not to keep a eye on whar is requested because apps can request for access to areas that isnt required.. A wallpaper app doesnt need access to contacts information but it would need web and permission to write to sd card. This is what is required under the programming end of a app. -
What does apple say about maintaining a macbook pro?
Where can I find apple's maintenance advice on caring for a macbook pro? I would like honest advice about how to get my laptop running fast again. I would also like to know what the facts are about permissions and why I have 5 that will not remain repaired despite the utility telling me they are repaired but further verification shows they are still not correct or have been undone. If anyone could send me a link to a good website that is not trying to sell me third party software that would be really appreciated. Also, if anyone has information on why laptops slow down in general that would be helpful.

Small display problem - what does it mean?
While I was using browser & viewer -- not adjusting, but switching into & out of full-screen mode -- one of my JPG images started to display with a couple of wide black bars extending halfway across the top. This was only in the viewer; the browser's thumbnail was fine. When I switched to full-frame the flaw was gone in the viewer, but it came back when I switched back. Finally I chose another image and went to full-screen and back and returned to the first image, and it was ok.
No harm done, but I'm curious about two things:
1. does this mean anything?
2. is there some way to refresh the viewer's image, in particular? I'm not clear about which this is, among the various renderings Aperture keeps.I'm bumping this topic because now I'm seeing this phenomenon for the second time. The top right-hand quarter of the image is blacked out -- only in the viewer, not the thumbnail -- and not, at least this time, when I switch to Full Screen. So again, not a big deal, but a little annoying, and irregularities are always alarming.

VIVADO 2015.2, Linux x64, Microblaze core is on the canvas (not generated stand-alone) with typical settings that were NEVER modified. This following error popped up in the very last synthesis I have made.

I think I have found the cause of the issue. Sigh... It has to do with the other post I made earlier, a boolean IPI parameter for Verilog designs.
Because of that issue, I have hard-coded the parameter in the HDL instead of making it an IPI, and it caused a cloud of logic to be removed from the IP, leaving a dangling connection, which of course cause this issue.

However i had another question. I can not make JFlow work. I did install the plugin and everytime i right click on my remote JVM tab and click on Heap Dump, it does open system popup for me to select where to save the dump. But as soon as i select and click OK, it throws this error

There can be multiple different reasons for this that I can think of, incorrect permissions granted to the user, the effective user of the Java process running Mission Control not having write permissions in the folder you are trying to save to etc.
What does it say if you run with the debug flags?

I have a wireless network at home. I run my iphone and ipad on it with no problems. Just purchased a MacBook Pro, and now my wi-fi keeps disconnecting and i get an error message saying another device is using the same IP address. What does all this mean?

When I go to open up Firefox, it does not open no matter what I try It just pops up this box that says Firefox.exe - application error.
Then it says the Instruction at "0x798377a9" referenced memory at "0x798377a9". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to termintate the program
What does this mean? And why cant I use Firefox. I can still use internet explorer just fine.

I re-set password using specific user ID but when I put new password in it does not say incorrect password it just spins and spins never accepting it. What is the problem?
Update on my problem connecting in Itunes with my Airport Express. Not sure if anything I tried made a difference
but I finally got the Pop up window saying this device requires a Password. I entered the password and I can once again use the Airport Express as a remote speaker. -

I had to reinstalled windows xp on my PC and everytime I try to download itunes a message pops up saying "there is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run". But it does not say what program is required. I've had to reinstalled windows xp before and never had a problem.

Unable to Create Source System under 'SAP'
Hi, We are on BI 7.0 and I am trying to create an R/3 Logical System (RSA1 - Source Systems - SAP - Create...) But everytime I try to do that logical system is getting created under 'BI' folder (instead of 'SAP' folder). Do you know why this could ha
