ATI TV Wonder 650  And FME

Hi I'm using ATI TV Wonder 650 Capture Card..
When I use FME the only thing i get is two green screens on
both sides..,Is There a setting I'm have to have FME On..
Im Casting My Video Games To Justin.tv..
Thank You..

What type of input you are giving to the card? SVideo or
Coaxial? You need to select type of input from advance property
page of device(wrench icon adjacent to Video device drop down
list). If it is SVideo or TV Input. If it is TV input then you need
to select channel also on which you are getting the signal.

  • ATI TV Wonder LE and MSi K7T Mobo - major problems

Has anyone got this combination to work properly or got any tips? My machine crashes all the time (hangs up) when I am using the ATI tuner card.
    System spec:
    MSi K7T mobo KT133 chipset
ATI 128 Rage pro 32MB graphics card
AMD Athlon 1.2 GHz (200 FSB)
    384 MB SDRAM PC133

I doubt it's something that's too slow but rather a conflict of sorts.
I heared befor of problems with the ATI AIW but have no experiance with the cards myself so I don't have any specific suggestions regarding the card.

  • Ati tv wonder video capture card

Recently purchased ATI tv wonder hd 650 usb. The guy at the electronics store told me that it would probably work with mac. I looked online and found to my dismay that there is a separate model for mac. http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder650/usbmac/index.html
as opposed to the one i purchased.
    http://ati.amd.com/products/tvwonder650/usb/index.html
My question for you knowledgeable people is this: what is stopping the pc version from working with my macbook?
the actual devices appear exactly the same, except one is black and one is white.
is it possible to get it working?
if not, can you recommend another external capture card?

The El Gate EyeTV products work quite well. The ATI product won't work without Mac software compatible with the card and the card would need Mac compatible firmware. I doubt there is any way to get the ATI product to work on your computer, but the best way to find out is to contact ATI's tech support.

  • ATI TV Wonder... not making device node?

I purchased an ATI TV Wonder card yesterday. I've been Googling and reading numerous tutorials and I just can't get it to work. There just isn't a device node for it in /dev... no /dev/video0, /dev/v4l/video0, not even a /dev/v4l!
So far, I've changed my /etc/modprobe.conf so that it includes:
    alias char-major-89 i2c-dev
    alias char-major-81 videodev
    alias char-major-81-0 bttv
    options bttv card=63 radio=0
    options tuner debug=1
    alias char-major-81-1 tvaudio
After rebooting, an lsmod showed that none of those were loaded, so I added them (bttv, tuner, tvaudio, i2c_core, and i2c_algo_bit) to /etc/rc.conf as well. Now they are loaded at boot, but there's still no device.
Then, I edited /etc/X11/xorg.conf to load v4l, but that doesn't help either. I also added:
    REGISTER v4l/.* PERMISSIONS root.users 660
    REGISTER video0 PERMISSIONS root.users 660
to /etc/devfsd.conf (and rebooted to restart devfs), but that didn't help, either.
What do I have to do to get the device to show up? It shows up in lspci (I think):

I know it's supported because it was working on Ubuntu (but after the dependency hell I went through trying to get kdetv to install I reinstalled Arch). I'm at a loss here... I have no idea what to do next. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've no idea whether this has anything to do with your problem but I noticed that in your /etc/modprobe.conf you've missed your tuner type.
    you have:
    options bttv card=63 radio=0
    options tuner debug=1
I think you should have something like:
    options bttv card=63 radio=0
    options tuner=5 debug=1
(replace 5 with your tuner type code)

  • Other remotes in an AirPort Express - ATI Remote Wonder?

I've just bought an AirPort Express, looks like a good little product, but just wondering about plugging my USB remote into it.
I've got an ATI Remote Wonder, which has a small USB receiver, and wondered if there is ever likely to be any support for using this with the AirPort, through the printer port? I know that there is the Apple remote available, but would prefer to use mine (radio frequency wireless rather than infrared).
Does anyone rate my chances of getting it to work / someone writing a software update to support it?
    Cheers
    David

Errr... that was about Client Mode, not connecting remotes to it.
As far as I can tell from a lot of time looking from Google, there isn't any support for it currently (neither official nor third party). I've tried to do the Feedback suggested to Apple, but there wasn't a category for AirPorts so no idea if they'll ever get it through the laptop Feedback link I used :o(
Alternatively, maybe if I tape the transmitter to my laptop it'll work too... just not quite as elegant a solution!

  • ATI Remote Wonder

Does anyone have an ATI Remote Wonder working after Leopard installation? Mine worked on my Intel iMac before Leopard, but not now.

    Hi Nanobu,
One option would be to use the VISA Driver Development wizard to assign NI-VISA as the driver for the remote. This option requires you to have VERY detailed knowledge about the remote, and will not be trivial . One question though. Does the remote mimic keystrokes on your keyboard when you push a button? If it does, then you can use LabVIEW directly to capture the keystrokes and determine what button was pushed on the remote. This will probably be a more feasible solution. Hope this helps.

  • Ati TV Wonder Ve

is their and drivers or a way to use the windows drivers on my ATI TV Wonder VE. I bought it some time ago and when I switch over to mac I never got it to work. I heard of ways of using windows drivers on linux with wireless cards I wasn't sure if this would work for Mac as well.
    -Mac OS X 10.2.8

I'm not using SP-1, so that's not the problem.  I just downloaded the trial version of PowerVCR II, but basically the same thing happens as under MSIPVS Windrv - splash screen and then it stops dead.
In poking around in the Device Mgr, I do have one question maybe someone can answer.  Under the entries for the MSI PVS Tuner, Crossbar, and Video Capture - under the Driver details, the following files are listed (in addition to the basic CX88 MSI drivers.
    ks.sys
    lyuv_32.dll
    ksproxy.ax
    kstvtune.ax
    ksuser.dll
    kswdmcap.ax
    ksxbar.ax
    msh263.drv
    msyuv.dll
    tsbyuv.dll
    vfwwdm32.dll
The files are all version 5.1.2600.0 with the exception of msh263.drv which is version 4.4.3400
I tried looking up those files in the knowledge base at microsoft, and the only references I see to any of those files are under Windows 98, not XP.  I'm starting to wonder that since I upgraded from Win98 to XP instead of doing a totally clean install, that these driver files came along for the ride and now are messing things up.   (I know I'm probably grasping at straws).  So if anyone of you who have a working @nywhere, I would appreciate it if you could take a look.

  • MSI Theater 550 PRO-E vrs ATI TV Wonder Elite

I would like to know which is a better product in terms of TV resolution on the Computer Monitor and recording: ATI TV Wonder Elite or MSI 550 Pro-E ? I understand MSI 550 Pro-E uses the same video chip which is used in ATI TV Wonder Elite. What about the TV tuner and its TV quality on the monitor and recording results ? Which is a better product ? Has anyone out there used both the products and compared them ? I am planning to get one of these but cannot make up my mind. Moreover, MSI tuner card is much cheaper when compared with ATI card :$40 less. I want to be sure that I am getting a good product or why bother to spend $40 more.

if they both use the same ATI Theater 550PRO chipset, then i imagine performance will be pretty much the same

  • Windows Vista and FME

Seen some interesting behavior with Windows Vista and FME.
When watching the connection status of a live broadcast I get lots
    of empty full buffer dumps.
    #NSManager# (doLiveOnStatus:NetStream.Buffer.Full)
    #NSManager# (doLiveOnStatus:NetStream.Buffer.Empty)
I have seen this happen when using the On2 Flix encoder with
2.0.479 but not typically with FME. The only different variable is
Vista and the client is running it on his laptop.

Thanks for the reply. I actually got first hand use with it
on the clients machine. The problem is that FME gets cranky when
you drop packets and the client is using a wireless card to
    transmit the data.

  • How do i restore synching between Treo 650 and iCal & Address Book

prior to installing 10.4.7, i was able to sync my treo 650 with iCal and Address Book; iCal and Address Book syncs with .Mac and Entourage; Entourage syncs with Outlook on my office pc; and Outlook syncs with my Blackberry 8700. therefore, all i needed to do was enter an appointment or a contact in one device, and all the three other devices would be in sync.
i recently upgraded to 10.4.7 and now, i have problems synching: (1) iCal and Address Book can no longer sync with my treo 650, and (2) iCal and Address Book can't sync with Entourage either.
after installing 10.4.7, i noticed that my treo 650 cant sync with iCal and Address Book. i always get the error "isync conduit synchronization failed. ( the first time it happened, i checked isync, and i noticed that "enable palm os synching" was unchecked, so i enabled palm os synching. after that, i was able to sync my palm, but for one time only. after that, i couldnt sync anymore.)
at the same time, i noticed that iCal and Address Book wouldnt sync with Entourage anymore.
i also noticed that iCal starts-up even if i dont activate it. when iCal starts-up, the beach ball spins for around two minutes before it responds; if i click an entry to edit it, the beach ball would likewise spin for a minute or two before i can edit it. i went through all the entries and noticed that some have multiple alarm entries: i deleted these and iCal no longer slows down.
however, whenever i launch Entourage or iSync, iCal also launches. unfortunately, no synchronization takes place.
can somebody help? how do i restore synching between my treo 650 and iCal & Address Book? how do i restore synching with Entourage? thanks.

    Bon asis,
I have the exact same situation. Sorry this doesn't help, but wanted you to know that someone else is in the same exact boat.

  • How to install drivers for ati radeon 3200?and how to config xorg.co ?

how to install drivers for ati radeon 3200?and how to config xorg.conf?

mawch wrote:how to install drivers for ati radeon 3200?and how to config xorg.conf?
    Hello
I am using ati hd 3200 which is integrated with my motherboard. If you are using arch you can download & install through pacman. The package is named like catalyst*. You can install them by issuing as root user
    #pacman -Sy
    #pacman -S -l | grep -i catalyst
    #pacman -S catalyst catalyst-utils
After installation reboot your machine in runlevel 1. (single mode).  Ensure "fglrx" module is loaded correctly using
    #lsmod | grep -i fglrx
If the resultant output have "fglrx" part  the module is loaded correctly. The next step is to create a working /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Backup your current xorg.conf if needed.
    #cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bkup
    Then issue
    #aticonfig --initial --input=/etc/X11/xorg.conf
This will create a new xorg.conf file. Now we can test our confign.
    #telinit 3
I am using runlevel 3 to avoid graphic messup!!
    issue
    #gdm
If you graphical login screen works correctly there is nothing to do more except adjust your monitor resoloution as you like.
To know your ati driver is working correctly issue as root
    #fgl_glxgears
If gears are rolling happily it seems correct. You can also know more about installed ati driver
    #fglrxinfo
Now the installed driver version is in the output
If there is any problem try following
    ##### Soloutions to solve various display problems using ATI Catalyst Drivers in Linux #####
yes video playback is choppy until i ran :-
    sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv
Try adding the following to the 'Device' section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf
    Option "TexturedVideo" "true"
    ### This is a half solution for mythtv problems. Run mythtv in window (no full screen) If You have a screen resolution of 1024x768 try the command;
    mythfrontend --geometry 800x600
    Append the "Device" Section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf file as follows;
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Videocard0"
    Driver "fglrx"
    Option "OpenGLOverlay" "off"
    Option "VideoOverlay" "on"
    Option "TexturedVideo" "on"
    Option "TexturedVideoSync" "on"
    Option "Capabilities" "0x00000800"
    BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
    EndSection

    export LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=true

  • ATI 5770 in MacPro and 27" iMac MDP Not Working

I have a MacPro with the ATI Radeon 5770 HD and I can't for the life of me get my 27" iMac to go into Target Display Mode. I've connected the ATI card to the iMac using the Belkin MDP to MDP and have both CPUs on while hitting Command + F2 (on the keyboard attached to the iMac) to no avail.
Both computers are fully update and running Snow leopard.
    Any ideas?

    Apple doc:Summary
With Target Display mode, you can use your 27-inch iMac with Mac OS X as an external display. Connect any computer or other device with a Mini DisplayPort to your 27-inch iMac using a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable or using a converter that converts other electrical, video, and audio protocols from another source device to Mini DisplayPort compliant signals. (Cables and converters available separately.)
    Products Affected
    iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010), iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)
To use a 27-inch iMac in Target Display mode with another computer as the source:
Make sure both computers are turned on and awake.
Connect a male-to-male Mini DisplayPort cable to the Mini DisplayPort on each computer. The 27-inch iMac will enter Target Display mode and display content from the source computer.
Note: If you are connecting two 27-inch iMacs, connect a Mini DisplayPort cable to each computer and press Command + F2 on the 27-inch iMac keyboard that you will use as an external display.
To leave Target Display mode, press Command + F2 on the keyboard of the 27-inch iMac that is in Target Display mode. To return to Target Display mode, press Command + F2 again.
    Points to keep in mind:
Applications running on the 27-inch iMac computer remain open and running while it is in Target Display mode.
Use the keyboard of the 27-inch iMac to adjust display brightness and sound volume and to control media playback of applications running on the 27-inch iMac in Target Display mode. Other keyboard and mouse input is disabled on the 27-inch iMac while it is in Target Display mode.
The 27-inch iMac works like any other external display while it is in Target Display mode, except that you cannot access its built-in iSight or USB and FireWire ports. To change display settings, open System Preferences on the external source computer and choose Display from the View menu.
Mac OS X on the 27-inch iMac ignores some sleep requests while it is in Target Display mode, but forced sleep, restart, and shutdown commands will still work. If the external source goes into idle display sleep, the 27-inch iMac in Target Display mode will go dark until activity resumes on the external source.
If you shut down, sleep, or detach the external source while In Target Display mode, the 27-inch iMac will leave Target Display mode.
The Mini DisplayPort in the 27-inch iMac can receive only DisplayPort compliant video and audio signals. Converters not made by Apple may provide options to convert other electrical, video, and audio protocols to Mini DisplayPort compliant signals.
Some older Apple keyboards and keyboards not made by Apple may not allow the Command + F2 key combination to toggle display modes. You should use an aluminum wired or wireless Apple keyboard to toggle Target Display mode on and off.
    Additional Information
Note: Target Display mode requires a Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable, such as the Belkin Mini DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort cable, which is sold separately at the Apple Store as part number TX706VC/A.
