I've got an application that keeps quitting randomly (25 times today) which yields this message in Console:
ATS: Invalid FontObjectID (3) - only low 16 bits are being passed in.
I really don't understand the message because I don't know what "FontObjectID (3)" and "low 16 bits are being passed in" mean. However I cleaned up the Font Book and deleted the Font cache to now avail.
Any ideas or help?

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan.

well, I'm not asking you to explain about how an implicit enhancement can be done. i was just referring to the two options posted in the reply. Is there any other way out apart from the implicit enhancement option. i do find class CL_BS useful as the Method ADD_RECIPIENT gets triggered . even though there's no attachment option in the screen that pops up after the method ADD_RECIPIENT is triggered. would anybody suggest me as how to proceed further to capture the values though without attachment details

How do i see which parameters are being passed to wwv_flow.accept?

After submiting a page i get this error:
"The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found on this server."
I placed some inserts inside my page process to check and i found out the process isn t even being executed.
This post seems to have some similarities to what is happening to me:
doSubmit in javascript
But all the items i need to change are being changed with javascript in the same page, after submiting they get the new values.
What gets weirder is that it works properly in firefox and google chrome browser, however it is company politics that all aplications work in internet explorer and in internet explorer it doesn't work.
So i would like to know how to see what is being passed to wwv_flow.accept so i can discard that option?

To my understanding the variable that shoudl cause problems would be empresas_form and not empresas, since empresas is just a div.
I need the checkboxes to be inside a form or i can t access them and i need to perform operations on them, any suggestions?

Only 147 photos are being shown on my photo stream with the new photos version

I've taken around 600 new photos the last two weeks. But on my photo stream album are only 147 photos being shown.
How can I fix this problem? I've tried to turn and off photo stream. But nothing changed.

Can any one help me to configure the mysql table to enable user expiration to function, I have tryed most things, but not dates are being passed back to the data base from the form

Im trying to build user expiration into my registration form, but I cant get the form to send back the date registering.
in my data base i have tried every thing from timestamp to datetime. I can get a timestamp but it is not functioning with the expiration?

just have a look at my tutorial Login tables: installation & configuration where the required column attributes are explained and where you can obtain a fully functional SQL dump for a typical ADDT "login" and (optionally) "login_stats" table.
BTW, "expiration" will have to be an "int" column.

On our two C series appliances the C350 and the C660 we can log in to the GUI and go to System Administration \ Return Addresses and change the
Return Addresses for System-Generated Email to something more meaningful and practical then reports@hostname. For example we like to use a proper suffix instead of @hostname we use @ourAwesomeCompany.com. Anyway on the M series the M650 we can't change the suffix East of the @ sign. We get this error:
Invalid hostname. Only US-ASCII characters are allowed.
Did any of you, or can any of you change the Return Addresses on your M series? You don't have to go as far as commiting the changes if you are willing to try this for me, just type something in and hit Submit that should be enough to generate the error.

What CC Applications are still only 32-bit?

Is there some way to determine whether a given Creative Cloud application is still only 32-bit? I mean other than creating a 64-bit package and looking to see if it installs to Program Files or Program Files (x86)? That's what I've been doing, but I've since discovered after re-packaging Photoshop and installing it on a test system, that it's now available as 64-bit application. Can I get notified of changes like this?

Low bit rate 4k offline files

I'm editing 4k on a 720p timeline. Its a bit slow and painful. Is there any advantage to making offline files that are still 4k but lower bit rate? (so that I can still do the crazy 3x zooms!)
(I suspect the limitation on my system is more processor than hard drive. Its a xeon 3560x @3.6ghz, 12gb ram and a 7-drive raid5)

Poor 3g reception issue does not come from being in a low coverage area.

For All of you who keep saying that "If youre in a low coverage area the 3g service wont work you must turn off 3g". That is not a solution. Yes it fixes the problem of not being able to talk on the phone but that is just a workaround that in my opinion is not acceptable. The name of the phone is iPhone 3g. The entire reason for buying this phone is the 3g network. If thats not there and frankly who cares about the GPS as its pretty much useless, then we could have kept our old phones. There are numerous reports of people using their old devices with 3g side by side and getting great reception on their other handset. In my opinion there is a problem with this phone and it should probably be returned until apple figures out what they did wrong. Its not the 3g network and its not a lack of coverage as other handsets are getting great reception. ITS THE PHONE!!!

How Do You Make OS X Run Strictly Only 64-bit?

Hi. I've set OS X to run on 64-bit on boot (editing the plist. Apple should have a control panel for 32 and 64-bit mode. I hope Lion will have those) but how is it running a 32-bit of Flash on Safari? I thought on this mode it strictly runs only 64-bit programs? So if you're using 32-bit mode, that's really the same as when you're on 64-bit mode coz' on 32-bit mode it'll still use 64-bit apps when it's available (or 64-bit programs won't run when you're on 32-bit mode?).
Is Safari 5 64-bit by the way? There's a preview of the 64-bit Flash player which might be good to try on a 64-bit OS and Safari. Thank you in advance.

Do not confuse user mode application programs with the kernel and device drivers. This is NOT Windows, and does NOT have the limitations that Windows has.
The 32-bit Mac OS X kernel can run both 32 and 64 bit applications. Just launch Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor and the "Kind" column will show you that with the 32-bit kernel you are currently running tons of 64-bit programs.
Today, the only reasons for booting a 64-bit kernel are:
o You are a developer writing a 64-bit device driver
o You need to use a special limited edition 64-bit device driver and have no choice
o You have one of the newest Mac Pros or Xserver boxes and have put more than 32GB of RAM in the box
o You would like to blaze a 64-bit trail testing all the beta 64-bit device drivers so the above mentioned developers get some real world field testing.
Otherwise, the 32-bit kernel gives you all the benefits, and none of the hassles.
Apple released a 64-bit capable operating system that by default boots into a 32-bit kernel so that developers had a nice long period of time to develop and test their 64-bit drivers and applications. I suspect that 10.7 may default boot 64-bit kernels on Macs that are 64-bit kernel capable (ie. they have 64-bit CPUs and have 64-bit firmware), but that is only a guess.
And with respect to a 64-bit kernel running 32-bit apps, yea, Apple can do that too, so again you do not need to get new apps just because you are booting a 64-bit kernel.
