Attach document to Notes tab

Can you help?
what I want to do is to attach a Design document to the query. ie when a user runs a report and clicks on the Notes tab, they can see this document.
Does anyone have a step by step advise on how this can be achieved. I already have the documents ready on my hard disc. I think this can be done via the RSA1 under documents but I dont know how.

Thanx a lot for answering. My requirement is like I have to create Mktg Plan and the rersponsible person is Mktg Mngr. Then the campaign will be in different dept where the responsible person is Campaign Mngr. In our scenario we hv to attach some documents to plan and send it to the Mktg Mngr for approval. Is there anything to do Action here or something about like attach doc to campaign and it will automatic reflect in Mktg plan.
Another thing I dont know how to do workflow? Some how I got the idea it can be done by this. And other thing u are telling about action profile but the action tab is not present in Mktg plan as well as in campaign. Pls guide me how to achieve this.

    Hi, A user has a strange issue where he is unable to open any .pdf attachments in GroupWise. It works on any other computer except for his. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing adobe reader and also GroupWise and I still receive the same issue. I have also verrified that adobe reader is the default application for .pdf files and made sure .pdf is associated with adobe reader. Thanks for any advice!

  • MIGO - Services of object (Attach document) doesn't work

    Hello Everyone
    I am using SAP netweaver 7.
    When Using MIGO, I can see the Services of Object button to add attachment and notes.
    When I am trying to attach a new document or even create a note, the system give me a message that the document has been created but the "Attachment list" option is still not available.
    So I cannot see the document that I just attached.
    Trying with transaction VL02N, VF02 and other transactions, it does work.The Services of object is working fine. I can add attachment and notes and of course I can retreive it.
    Furthermore, the table SOOD add a record when I am attaching a PC document in MIGO.
    Is anyone have an idea why, in MIGO, the creation of an attachment or a note, doesn't activate the "Attachment list" option?

    Hello everyone
    I just found what the problem was.
    When creating a good receipt / purchase order in MIGO, you can attach documents and notes but you cannot see what you did until you performed a post and go back to the display mode of the posted document.
    Here are the steps.
    1. Perform the reception.
    2. Add the document, using the services of object
    3. post
    4. Go back in display material document and enter the document that you've just created
    5. Go to the Services of object, than the "Attachment List" will be available and will list the documents that you attached.
    It is very annoying to have to post before we can validate what have been added to the attachment or the notes.
    As far as I am concerned, we should be able to see the attachment and notes as soon as it as been created.
    That way, we can validate, before posting, if all the work has been done correctly, specifically when you have been disturbed in process.
    Furthermore, based on my observation, if we are attaching documents and not performing the post, the documents have been loaded in SAP database but will never be linked or deleted from it.
    I hope that is not happening to often otherwise that could that a lot of space.

    Hi Experts,
    How do we attach a document into a PR/PO. The requirement is to attach supporting documents into a PR/PO, so that when it goes for approval, the release approver can view the supporting document in the PO/PR.
    We have a Attach Icon in the PO but i am unable to attach any document by clicking it, is there any settings to be maintained to attach documents in PO/PR or do we need to implement any new submodules like DMS

    I tried using the "Services for Object"  option and i was able to upload a document. But when i try to view the document in PO display ME23N, by clicking the Icon as you mentioned the attached document is not displayed.
    Only when i go in Change mode ME22N and select "Service for Object" i get the documents displayed. What is the way to get the document displayed ?

    Hi, I have an HP Photosmart 6510 and I am emailing documents over via email but the front page is printing just saying Sent From Surface but the attached document does not print?  

    I am writing a one page A4 style document which has very little content and not pictures, then saving it in word and then sending it by way of an attachment.  I then email it to my hp photosmart 6510 printer.  I am sending from a Microsoft Surface tablet.  The printer prints an acknowledgement sheet which simply says at the top of the page "Sent from Surface" but does not print anything else?  I have checked the sent items and the email contains the document.  Not sure why it does not print?

  • MS Excel document as attachment to a PDF document does not open with a hot spot/link in the PDF

    Hi, I have attached an excel file to a pdf document. I need to open this document in a new window by clicking an icon/hotspot in the pdf document to which it it attached.
    I am using the Link Tool to create a hot spot around the icon in the pdf. In the next window I am using the Go to Page view option, opening the attachment to its first page and clicking the "set link" button.
    For some reason, clicking the hotspot does not open the excel document as it does another pdf document.
    Need help resolving this issue with attached documents.

    Select a particular download file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window.  In the Open With section choose the desired default application from the dropdown menu then click on the Change All button.
    For .dmg files use DiskImageMounter (System/Library/CoreServices/ folder.)

  • Attached document not opening in FB03.

    Hi ,
    I am using an error while checking uploaded attchment in the transaction FB03.
    When any file(ex. pdf) is uploaded from presentation server, it is uploaded successfully and able to see the content .
    But when the same file is downloaded on the application server path and then try to see the content, it gives the errror message .
    The file is attached to the document with the FM 'SCHM_HTTP_CREATE_FILES' and then attched to the document with FM
    'ARCHIV_CONNECTION_INSERT'. The file is seen in attachent list . But when trying to open the file , getting the below erro.
    HTTP error: 404 Not Found  Document not found: Document '537B79574C7C0173E10080000A43209B' not
    found on server 'contracts_dev'.

    Have you checked to see that the SAP user has rights to the folder that you are trying to write to?

    I think your customizing is ok for attaching Document in PO Item.
    First attaching Document to PO Item you need to go in ME21N ( Create PO) Transaction.
    Then go to Item Overview Button, here 1st you have to add one po item then you have to click on "Documents" push buttuon. This button is near to "Filter" button. Select here your required document which you want to attach with PO Item.
    Say Ok & Save.
    Now your document is saved with PO Item. That you can see in ME22N ( Change PO) & ME23N (Dispaly PO) transction.

  • Error_DP: MIR6 Adding text to the Note tab then posting a parked document

    We receive an error when posting a parked document in MIR6 only when we click on Change mode and click on the Note tab.  Then when we click Post button, a Runtime error occurs.
    SAP Note 939340 was implemented to our QA system, but the problem persists.
    Runtime error is:  RAISE EXCEPTION.  Exception condition ERROR_DP raised.
    A raise statement in the program "C_TEXTEDIT=========CP" raised the exception.
    We think it is related to the billing block, but it only occurs when the Note tab is involved.
    Any ideas?

    it seems it is not a problem of MIR6/MIR4.
    It is a question of texedit control.
    There are several OSS Notes regarding this (depending on your version).

    You can, by the way, add photos or videos when replying, just not other document types. It more than likely relates to the sandboxing of iOS apps to keep things safe and malware free.

    When trying to attach a scanned document or picture to and email, the process goes not forever and there is no end, it just keeps working and tries to attache these documents/pictures. In the lower left hand corner of the screen it says "waiting for mail. yahoo. com"

    If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.
