Attach Smartform to Output Type - Shipping notification to SP

Hi all,
We have smartform and want to attach to Shipping notification output type - LALE.
Is there any default driver program for same too.
Any suggestion welcome,

Navdeep, the notification is not an external document.. so you cannot do that.. moreover you are sending it as an IDOC and not through any regular transmission medium, so it ain't possible. Try looking at it from a recievr's point of view

Consequences of adding and smartform to output type in nace

Dear experts,
I have one doubt . I want to link one smart form to output type EF ie purchase order. When I am saving it system is asking for customizing requests. I am doing this in development system to check the functionality of one smartform. Because we dont have any IDES System to test. Well I want to what are the consequences of adding an smartform to output type in nace. Whether it wil reflect in quality system without transporting the request. After testing can i remove that smartform which is attached to output type EF. Please confirm.

Printing issue in smartform with output type

Hi ,
I am facing issue while I am taking print from zebra printer.
I am trying to take a print from MB90 but its not coming but its giving status 'processed' and same from the spool, in spool its showing status complete but not giving any printout.
if I m attaching my smartform with another output type which already working for another label(smartform), then its giving print.
So, what I want to know..
Its can be a problem with output type config or from basis side.
Please help.

well i have seen setting are correct but having one issue it doesnt trigger automatically I do it manually from MB90 and rest of the things are correct becaoz i have seen while debug its going correct form from driver program, when i am runniing from MB90 manually .

Smartforms PO - output type external send - for purchase order

Dear
I want to define a specific output type for example ZPOM, with medium 'External Send'. The communication Strategy is SMTP (MAIL).
The configuration of the Processing Routine is the following:
Program: - FM06P
Form Routine: ENTRY_MEU
SMARTFORM: Z_MM_PURCHASEORDER.
When we create this mesage in the PO, no mail is send. There is also no processing log available.
Is it possible to use the same smartform with print program that is used for Medium 'Print Output' for medium 'External Send'?

What you need to do is to create in SPAD Output device for E-mail ( in the Host Spool Access Method define M:E-Mail to Receiver/Owner) and then in the 'Print Output' assign this device.

Smartform for output type CHKL (count list ) as Inbound Delivery(E1)

At this moment, I know the Sapscript form RT_CHECK_LIST & program RTCHECKL for count list (output type CHKL) as inbound delivery (E1), but I need the PROGRAM and SMARTFORM for this output?!

I don't think we have a similar print program and smartform available, if you want to use it in Smartfrom.. copy SAPscript and migrate to smartform using SF_migrate and copy the print program of SAPscript and make necessary changes.

Assigning SMARTFORMS to output types in SPRO

Hi,
I have created a test smartform and smartstyle, generated a function module, and temporarily put some code in a custom "test" program to ensure it is working, and it does (note calling the compiled version of the smartform function module name, by getting it's name from SSF_FUNCTION_MODULE_NAME) and all executes correctly.
Could anyone tell me however how I assign the smartform to execute from standard SAP via output type configuration in SPRO in SD as an example. Do we still need to specify a print program name and form routine to execute in configuration, just like SAPscript works ? I notice there is a field available for a smartform name, but then how would "whatever standard SAP is calling the smartform" know what parameters to pass into my generated function module for the smartform ? Also, does this have anything to do with the field "layout module" which is directly above the smartform field ?
Here's what I have tried: I entered the custom Z test program I created, entered the form routine name of this program which simply calls directly the function module for the smartform. (Now the smartform field in configuration is redundant) The standard SAP SAPscript print option window appears when I execute my SD transaction, and then the output option window appears which comes standard with the smartform function module call. As the smartform field in configuration is redundant going this method, I think I am going completely on the wrong route. Can someone help ?

Yes we already have this, and it works with the following issue:-
1) The default output controller window for print options which normally appears for SAPscript pops up.
2) The default output controller window for print options which normally appears for SMARTFORM output (looks slightly different to window in 1) appears also.
IMPORTANT: If I take out the name of the SMARTFORM in the "Smartform text box" it makes no difference and still works as above. This is because my driver/print program and subroutine is calling the function module to call the smartform, so it already knows which smartform to execute.
It is like the standard SD configuration is thinking my print program is for a SAPscript which is why I get both 1 and 2 above. Note: the SMARTFORM does output.

Can any one suggest me smartform for FUSI standard form.
In se71, the form is SD_Export_FUSI.
My requirement is to design layout according to client requirement.

How to attach custom output type to tcode VT02N

HI All,
My requirement to create a new print program, form and output type i.e. to be attached to transaction VT02N when called.
Please help to resolve
- How we create new output type
- Attach smartform/ spascript to the output type
- Take print of the smartforms using output type .
there is some predefined output type in different application like in application v7 we are using the output type ALTR and there is smartrform associated with that output type but unable to take the print of that smartform.

Attach smartform/ spascript to the output type
onthe same screen of output type click on processing routine folder on right and under form field assign ur smartform
Take print of the smartforms using output type
Either create a condition record (dont remember the tcode but u can search from SAP menu) or while creating shipment doc...assign the ouput type (in shipment doc screen, from menubar Goto ->Output ).......do not forget to specify the communication mode ie logical destination
take printout from VT02n screen( initial screen goto-> output) or using VT70

Output type problem in vf02

hi all,
I have attached my smartform to output type Rd00 using v/40 .but the problem is when trying to get the print for each invoice nos , in Vf02 i have to follow the path,
goto ---> header -
> output & then specify the output type.
my question is can this be maintained centerally so tht this procedure doesnt have to be repeated for each & every invoice.

if u dont want to follow like that , then Create a procedure with access records, in tht case it will automatically print invoice once u saved.
check NACE for all .

MM - PO - new output type

I'm looking for a way to give the user the possibility to mail/fax/print a PO. Printing is no problem, I linked the smartform to output type NEU and that works as a charm, but I don't get how to give the user the choice...

Still have one question : mailing won 't work. I did all necessary steps (I think) : defined in nace type 5, mail address for the vendor, mail address for the user who prints/mails the PO. But when I change the message to type 5, and do print preview, the system always asks me for an ouput type and so on..
I guess I'm doing something wrong, but I don 't have a clue what...

Accessing the run time data of processed output types in VA02

Hello All,
I have to write a code to make entriesin the Ztable when the user processes the output tpe in the VA02 transaction. How I can know that user has attached a new output type for that order?
I am writing my code at the save button of the VA02 tcode in the exit: userexit_save_document.
I checked for the Xnast, ynast, inast entries. But none of them store the current data of the processing of output types screens.
Please help.,

Triggering of output type

Hi Experts,
I have two output types and the output type 2 should only trigger if the output type 1 has processed.
we have coded in a routine in transation V/27 , and attached it to output type "ZWMA".
As per the logic In the routine we are checking the NAST entries , if successful we are marking sy-subrc as 0 ( suceessful).
The issue we are facing though values exist but nast table is not popultaed with thse values at the time of execution of routine and hence the check is failing ..
do we have any other way to check if one output type is processed before executing another output type and only tigger outpute type 2 if output type1 has processed;
like something about about access sequence or configuration through which we can solve the issue

Make use of element VSTAT in NAST table for checking the Processing status of message as and when u require to do it.

Create IDOC by output type from delivery

Hello,
I have an output type that comes out by a delivery, what I create this delivery from any plant
beside a new one, the output is created and sent as it should be to the XI as an IDOC,
But when I'm trying to do so from a new plant that was created here, this output is not created.
Do anyone know if there is any link between an output type and a plant (werks) ?

I don't think so - as plant it always on line level in the delivery
and access sequence usually works only on header fields
but there might be a custom made requirement attached to your output type
which checks the plant - this is for sure possible
but it's pretty easy to check in TCODE NACE and access sequence can be checked
from the delivery - header output tab

Medium in output type

Dear all,
I'm in the midst of figuring how ALE being sent out via message control. While looking at a Sales order's output type setting screen, under Medium column it contains:
1. Print output
2. Fax
3. Telex
4. External send
5. Simpal mail
6. Special function
7. Events(SAP business workflow)
8. Distribution(ALE)
9. Task (SAP business workflow)
For my case (send IDOC via ALE), i know that i have to pick option Distribution(ALE).
But apart from that, may i know how Telax, External send, Special function, Events and Task work?

HI,
If you chose other options, the driver program that you configure the SPRO or NACE, will get triggered.
In the driver program, logic must be written in order information is processed (It can be sent as Telex, Mail, Fax based on the SCOT settings and SAP Connect settings).
If the option you chose is Special function, the driver program may or may not send any mail/fax but you can do any processing . For example, if you want to update a Z Table on issuing the output, you can have that logicn in the Z program and have that attached to the output type in NACE transaction.
