  • Attach multiple docs in an email

I am trying to send two or more PDF files in a single email as opposed to two emails each with one PDF file.  Can anyone help?
    Thanks,

Thanks so much... I'll give good reader a try.  It 4.99' but if it works, it's worth it.
I greatly appreciate you taking the time to help me today.  I hope you have a great day!

  • Why can't I attach docs to my email, even when I'm in my mac or yahoo account when using an iPad. I'm thinking of returning it because it is a basic tool that isn't supported.

Why can't I attach files when writing an email, even when logged in to my mail account via safari, on my iPad. I'm thinking of retuning it as a big waste of time and money.

Except for the first response, all of you are unhelpful. The email was configured. Apple contacted me about the issue and said that the iPad cannot attach multiple docs to a single email regardless of whether the docs are located on the iCloud, in Pages, or a dropbox. It's operating system is not designed to do so (a stupid error if they are promoting the use of iPads for business and productivity, or even fields like architecture, design, and marketing, or even as an office alternative for remote use in meetings...which they are in professional consultations with offices). It also cannot do this through an alternate email site like a university server, yahoo, gmail, etc via Safari. Apple also cannot recommend a third party App that can do so. What they recommended, and there seems to be a lot of buzz about this being a problem with the iPad on the Internet, is that people go to their website, go to product feedback and go to enhancement requests and request the capacity to attach different types of files other than photos, and the capacity to attach multiple documents to an email. Basic functions...any email user would want. One of the Apple techs even thought it was implausible that they hadn't integrated this function ALREADY, when I called to set up the appointment.

  • Attaching pdf files to yahoo emails

After scanning a doc into pdf format-- free adobe reader 9.0, I am unable to attach the doc to a yahoo OR gmail email. I thought Yahoo was the problem as when attempt to attach, screen just keeps telling me to "wait, attaching," but never does. I then attempted to attach same doc to gmail and I get the same results-- never attaches. I never used to have this problem but not sure if it has been since upgraded to 9.0 as don't remember when I DID upgrade!! Thanks.

Reader has nothing to do with this, since Reader does not create any
files. You have some software that scans your pages to pdf. Before you
try to upload the file as an email attachment you should make sure your
scanning software closed the file. Then you should be able to attach it
to an email. If you cannot then the problem lies with your system, not
    Reader, not gmail, nor yahoo.

  • Cannot attach any file to any email from within Mail (6.2) in Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Everything was normal until 2 weeks ago, when suddenly I realized that photos from iPhoto do not appear in the body of the email as they used to. When I tried to attach a .doc or a .pdf, the result was the same. I sent an email with text and attachment to myself, and got only the text.
Also, any mail I use (Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and a couple others) is not attaching files when using the online page in Safari. I am forced to go through Chrome.
    Did anybody experience this?
    Thx!

    Hi,
The iMessages side of Messages and FaceTime use these ports.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4245
(Technically there are more for the "iChat Side" of Messages as well)
It is best if the router is using UPnP to open/allow ports.
Try adding a public DNS servers to System Preferences > Network > Advanced Button > DNS tab
    Google run 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
It seems that for some reason some DNS servers cannot find the Apple Servers for iMessages and FaceTime  (it is two different servers)
It may pay you add them to the router if you can add extra ones (some are limited to the two fields the numbers go in)
You could change the time server the router uses to be the same Apple Time Server.
It becomes quite important about the ability to Time Stamp the "Registration" process and later when sending IMs.
The other thing that some people are finding is that they have an Altered Hosts File.
Use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and enter /etc/hosts
This will take you to Hard Drive Name/Private/etc/ and highlight the Hosts file
You have to do it this way as the Private folder is hidden/Invisible.
The Hosts file should look like this
    Uploaded with Skitch!

  • How do i attach a file to an email as an attachment and not embeded in the message?

how do i attach a file to an email as an attachment and not embeded in the message?

This question has been asked and answered several times already.
Any file attached to an e-mail message is an attachment. There is no other possibility -- the mail protocol does not allow it.
However, different e-mail clients may have different ways of displaying or viewing attachments, depending on their settings and the type of file attached.

  • How do I attach a document to an email?

How do I attach a document to Ipad email?

    Julian
Thanks, but I had figured this out.  Let us suppose you are replying to an email from the boss who, copying 50 Polish, Indian, Arab and Thai coworkers on their personal emails-- and with whom you have never previously communicated--has asked you to share with the group your latest drafts for the upcoming weekend top secret strategy session and now you want to attach something other than a photo, such as a slide presentation in ersatz PowerPoint, a draft marketing plan in fake word and the budget in pseudo excel? You are fly fishing in the pesos without access to a computer, only your trusty IPad which fortunately has the drafts you need and a wireless connection.  Because this new initiative must fly under the company radar screen due to its sensitivity, you cannot use the corporate VPN and the attach docs are too chunky to be in anything but a series of three emails as you have no compression software.
What is most efficient way to execute?  If it's to drive the two hours in the storm back to Santa Fe and use the local Kinko's, I am disappointed.

  • How do i Attach a document to an email from iPad

How do I upload or attach a Word doc to an email, job posting etc ?

You cannot use a browser like Safari on your iPad to upload anything other than photos to a few locations. If you are planning to send a Word doc to a prospective employer you will have to send it attached to an email.
Presently there is no Microsoft Word application in the App Store. So you need a word processing app that opens and edits Word file. I use Apple Pages for this. When I open a Word doc in Pages it is converted to the Pages format. But when I email that doc I can choose to email the file as a Word doc.

  • My blackberry 8520 device can't attach file *.doc

Dear all,, My device can't attach file *.doc when I want to send an email using attachment file My device is Blackberry 8520 Gemini Need help and suggest here Thanks

OK thanks, that clarifies many of the points. You have successfully registered HRT as well as received all new Service Books, so from that perspective, things should be good to go. A few more thoughts then.

By this, do you mean that you cannot navigate out of the picture folder it initially shows you? If you don't create a new email, can you use the on-device file manager (Homescreen > Media > > Explore) and navigate to any folder you like? If you can navigate via this, can you further select and send your .doc in this manner?
Are you a 100% personal BB or is this a corporate (BES) BB? If BES, then stop now and go see your BES admins as they have full control.
If this is a personal BB, how did you acquire it? Was it purchased directly from your carrier or was it somehow second hand? If it was second hand, you may have a latent IT policy on board from the prior owner...which would need to be removed via this procedure:

Further, you are one version behind on the OS from your carrier...the most recent they now have is 5.0.0.681. I cannot tell you if your specific issue is addressed in that update or not...but a clean reload of your OS, with this new version, might be helpful. The best instructions I know for loading (upgrade, downgrade, reload) are here:

  • I am unable to attach PDFs to Hotmail/Outlook email using my FF browser today. Never had issue before today.

    1. I am unable to attach pdfs today in Outlook/Hotmail email using my Firefox browser (27.0.1). I keep getting an error message that says, "The file is not a picture and can't be inserted inline." I do not understand why I keep getting this error message. I am not attempting to insert an image. I am selecting to Insert Files as Attachments from the drop down menu.
No matter how many times I attempt to attach various pdfs to my emails today using Firefox as my browser, I keep getting this same error message. I have cleared the cache, cleared all cookies, cleared all history, signed out of my Hotmail/Outlook account, signed back in, restarted computer, etc., to no avail. Same problem.
    2. I switched to my Safari browser, and have no problem attaching pdfs in my Hotmail/Outlook email account. The pdfs are attaching perfectly as usual. My emails are being sent normally with the attachments. The attached pdfs are being received and are opening perfectly as intended.
    3. Why am I unable to attach files with Firefox today? Firefox is my browser of choice and I have used it with my Hotmail/Outlook email account without any problems, till today. Please help me! Thank you!

Thank you jscher2000. Yes my PDFs do contain the .pdf extension. I tried your excellent idea to utilize the drag and drop method, but I still get the same error message with PDFs. I have no problem attaching photos or Word documents with either method; just PDFs.
For further diagnostics, I started composing my email in Safari, attached all my pdfs and saved my email as a Draft.  I then went to Firefox, opened the draft to continue working on it, and voila!  There are all the pdfs I attached previously while in Safari.  I was able to send the email with attachments through Firefox with no issues. The attachments went through and were able to be opened.
I am mystified, as Firefox has been trouble-free with my email account, and I have never had this particular issue till today. I made no changes to anything else on my computer, but I did notice very late last night that Outlook had one of those typical messages at the top of my Inbox to refresh my browser since Outlook had been updated. I refreshed and shut down for the night, and when I rebooted this morning that is when I discovered this brand new glitch with attachments. I'm assuming this has something to do their last update.

I am trying to attach multiple photos to an email using ipad 2. I can see how to do it using the camera and camera roll ap...
But not using the photos ap..which is where the photos are. Any help would be appreciated.!

In an album in Photos touch the Edit button and then touch the desired photos (up to 5). A blue check appears in each selected photo. Next touch the Share button at the upper left and select Mail. This starts a email with the photos attached.
