Attaching a task to an event

In Event Viewer, I created a simple task for an email to be sent with custom text message whenever a Software Restriction Policy is triggered [Event 866].  When I select the event under the General tab I see what specifically was triggered.  Is
there a way to include that info in the email that is sent?

The message being sent will be different every time. I don't know how to include the details of the event being triggered.
You can easily tailor the message according to the event that triggers your scheduled task.

  • Attaching a file to an event for others to download

    Is it possible to attach a file to an event that is on a calendar this is published to my Mobile Me account that others can download when viewing the event online? I've attached the file and refreshed the calendar, but nothing appears on the event online that indicates anything is attached to that event. Am I doing something wrong? or do I misunderstand the concept of attaching a file to an event? My assumption was that file would be published online along with the calendar.

    For photos, go to the camera roll and go to the sort of gallery view where you can see all of yorur pictures. Find the one you want and press and hold on the thumbnail. A little coppy button should appear above the photo. Tap that and then go back to your email and press and hold until you see a similar menu. Tap paste. Unfortunately, you have to do this one image at a time so it is tedious to email multiple photos in a reply. But it is possible.

    Well, i would like to finish a task on an event which send me a user decision, so in the tab Event end i put my events. It's work fine. But the most important is that i want to get in my task the user decision. I created a new element in the container of my task : DECISION.

    Hi,
    When you are passing  IT_CONTAINER to 'SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT'  and raising an event, it means you are setting up the 'Event Container'.
    So, this event container element should also be passed to Task. This can be done by doing binding between Event Container and Task Container.
    Before that you should have DECISION parameter defined on Event parameter's list, you should this from SWO1.

  • Run a scheduled task on an Event?

    I want to run a PowerShell script that will 1) close outlook and 2) backup the users .PST to their Home drive, which is a network share.   When you look at the Triggers for
    scheduled tasks there is no trigger called "at log off"   I do see "begin the task on an Event".   so I've seen by Googling that the log off event ID can be 4647 or 538 (maybe more?)   But I don't see how
    to set this up.
    My questions are these:
    1.  how do you set this up as a trigger?  What do you enter for Log:  Source:  and Event ID:  ??
    2.  If you can launch a PowerShell script when event ID *user log off* is seen in EventLog is it already too late to copy something up to the network?  Meaning once the Log Off ID is seen in Event Log are all network sessions closed?

  • About single-task message wait event

    Hello
    I have several active users, some of them from 2 an 3 days ago with single-task message wait event and their last_call was many time ago. One of users, blocked to other users just a little while ago and Concurrency grow up to 20 % and was on increase. i had to kill this user and all were well, concurrency dessapeared.
    How could I avoid this behavior??
    How could I kill these type of user by automatic way??

    according to me active user is session or oracle process is doing something else like dml or ddl execution or select stmt else session is idel.
    trace the session what is doing? is may be problem with dead connection
    use oradebug and set the 10046 at level 12 and format it with tkprof utility.

  • Document attached to Tasks in Notification

    I have requirement to attach document to a task in a notification. I need to retrieve this document in another application.  Could anyone guide me on this.  I am looking for the table where the document (or its link) is stored and secondly function module to retireve it.

    Hi Raman,
    I would create the document first with CV01N. You upload the originals there and store them in the system. Then you link them to the object. In that same transaction  go to the Object LInks tab and find Maintenance Notification.
    This will link it to the Notification , though, not to a task specifically.
    You can attach the document to an operation in a task list. Select the Operation, and click on the PRT button. When the menu pops up, click on the DOcument  icon, and then you should be able to see the list of documents created with CV01N.
    Note: Documents can only be used after they have gone to a series of steps to get them released.From CV01N or CV02N, select Extras from the top menu and then select Status Network. That will show a graph explaining the differen Statuses the document must go through. Depending on security settings, you should be able to take the document through this steps. Simply change the status, save, change again to the next status, save and so on until you get to the Rel status.

  • Variable text is blank in emails when using Scheduled Task to email event log notifications

    I am trying to use powershell to email notification when a user account gets locked.  I am running the script from a server 2008 domain controller.
    I have tried multiple scripts and I have the same issue every time.  The script works fine when I run it directly from the powershell command line window.
    However whenever I try running the exact same scripts from an event-triggered scheduled task, the script runs, however any content that generated from a variable is not added to the email.  It is just left blank and ignored.
    I have tried adding lots of permissions including domain administrator group membership to the account  runs the task from and it doesn't include all the expected text unless I run it from the built-in domain administrator account.
    The task runs and the email is sent, but the email is missing all the content generated by variables.
    How can this be fixed?
    Here is an example script.

    By variable text I mean everything that it generates by using a variable such as the user's name ($LockedAccount)
    and everything else such as $AccountLockOutEventTime and everything else that is generated from

    Nothing like that appears in the email only hard coded text.
    I am not running it remotely.  I am logged directly onto the domain controller and I tried giving
    the account that is used to run the task more and more permissions including domain administrator group membership with the same result.
    When I run the exact same script on the same domain controller locally via the powershell CLI all of the info appears.

    How can I check if event oracle.apps.jtf.cac.task.createTask was raised when a task was created?
    This event will raise every time a task is created independent of which process created the task? I mean if the task was automatically created when SR is created or if the task is manually created?
    How can I test this business event manually?
    In our environment (EBS 11.5.10.2) there are following subscriptions to this business event:

    jtf_task_wf_subscribe_pvt.create_task_notif_subs
    CS_SR_CHILD_AUDIT_PKG.CS_SR_Audit_ChildEntities
    I have added subscription xxcsf_002_wf_subscribe_pkg.create_task, which calls to function (create_task) in a DB package (xxcsf_002_wf_subscribe_pkg). The first thing I do, before anything else, is logg to a custom table the event of entering the package function but then when task is created in "Enter Request Service" form nothing is logged in the custom table.
    What am I doing worng? Thanks in advance for the help!

    The sql returned 0 so that means the event is not fired. How do I make it fire. Isn't it standard? Is there some setup I have to do or enabled somewhere? I have this requierement to create automatically an assignment for tasks automatically created when SR is created in Field Service Technician Portal. I thought I could create the assignment when this business event is raised, which means a task is being created and validating where it is originated from (WEB). I need to set scheduled dates for the task as well. I appreciate the help in this. I would like to use the business event to call on a package function but it is not being fired.

  • Worklist - Task Control Factory Event Handler Issue

    I am developing a worklist application, which requires to create Task (Approval Process) for each user in a group.I have created a Task Control Factory in a "For Each" loop which creates multiple Tasks and i can see them through the default "worklist GUI" provided also "complete" the tasks. The Issue is the "onTaskCompleted" event does not get captured. It just gets lost.
    FYI, I have followed the BEA guidelines (http://e-docs.bea.com/wli/docs81/worklist/advanced.html#1076366)for creating Task Control Factories.
    Any kind of help will be really appreciated

    I am only guessing here, but since your process is creating multiple tasks, the completion of any single task can't be captured by your process. Once you start creating multiple tasks your ability to monitor a single task probably gets lost.
    One possibility to fix this is for your process to have a parallel branch: one branch will call a sub process for each task that you need completed and one branch will receive the call backs from the sub process. In this way you will be able to have multiple tasks created simultaneously while still capturing the individual onTaskCompleted events.

    The problem is with sending attachment.When we are sending mail without attachment, it is working fine.
    Also attachment is getting generated perfectly.I can see the attchment at work item of mail send through SWI1.
    One more point I want to add that attachment is in pdf format.
