Attaching documents in Create Leave Request UI5 application

Hi,
We are planning to implement the SAP HR Renewal 2.0 FP1 based HR implementation with ESS/MSS based on the UI5 as well.
I would like to know if the SAP UI5 application for Create Leave Request has the option to upload the documents or not in the standard delivery.
Please let me if the attachment facility is available for the Create Leave request application in UI5 based ESS.

Yes, attachment option is available in Standard Leave Request in UI5.

We are implementing ESS UI5. The create leave request screen defaulting Absence Hours as NaN, even after the Daily workschedule is showing planned hours.

Hi All,
Yes, SAP has released Note 2140301. After implementing the note, the NaN is not populating, however after clicking on Check or send button the application is unresponsive.
We have updated to SAP already.
Have you facing the same issue?

Create Leave Request In portal doesn't load after logging in

He All,
we are facing an issue with some of the users of the E portal , after they log in and click on create leave request the loading icon appear and the portal stuck at that and nothing else happen like in the attached image , this issue happen with some users not all of the users however it was working with them before.
Please advice

Hi Ahmed,
I didnt suggest a browser issue.
But using such tool when problem happens can show your the exact request url that hangs.
Then from this, you can reach to where the problem resides on the server.
Google chrome contains it already (just click on F12) , you can see all requests:
When you see a request that doesnt have status 200 or without status, this can give you focus on where is the issue.

How to configure and test workflow for Creating Leave Request

Hi,
When I select leave request iView in portals I get an R/3 screen titled "Create Leave Request".And when I fill in the details for approver and press send I get this error message "You are not one of the possible agents of the task".
So help required to configure and test the workflow behind Create leave request iView.

you have to set all activities in the workflow to "general task" as well, not only for WS12300111 itself (doubleclick on each symbol with the "triangle").
check the status of the sent leave request in transaction PTARQ (Display Documents). Here the "next agent" & the "pers. no" of the next agent is of interest.
logon with the user, that is saved in infotype 0105 of the above mentioned pers.no. there should be the approve request.
you can check the status of the workitems with SWI1 (i assume your system is prepared for workflows , check SWU3)

Suddenly I can't open one document in inumbers: "The sheet can't be imported. The document was created with an unsupported application version."

Yesterday I worked on a inumbers document on my mac mini. No problem. 3 hours later I would open the same document on my ipad. It told me that there were 2 versions and I had to choose one (surprisingly bouth had the same time/date). Since then I can't open this document anymore (regardless if iphone, ipad, mac mini): "The sheet can't be imported. The document was created with an unsupported application version." I worked on this document more than 1 year only on my ipad, iphone, imac... how can i get it worked or back? Other documents are still working properly.

The first part of the warning message was in german, so it's probably not translated as it really appears in englisch:
Massage on IPad and IPhone: "Tabelle kann nicht importiert werden. The document was created with an unsupported application version.
Message on mac mini: ""Verbrauch.numbers" kann nicht geöffnet werden"
What changed since is also, that the mini privew for this document no more exist; it shows just the inumbers icon in the sheet. The other documents around this one appears with preview and can be open, e.g. are working fine.

Function Module BAPI_ABSENCE_CREATE for creating leave request.

I am using FM BAPI_ABSENCE_CREATE for creating leave request. I am passing all the data into this as import parameter. When i am executing this return table gives statement EPG184Employee/applicant is not locked yet

Use the below function modules in sequence
1) HR_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE'
2) BAPI_ABSENCE_CREATE
3) HR_EMPLOYEE_DEQUEUE
Functionality
Using this method, an Absences infotype record (2001) can be created.
Notes
Messages are returned in the RETURN parameter. The parameter documentation contains the return codes and their meanings.
The key fields used by this method are described under the parameters.
This method can only be used if the ENQUEUE method has already been called up for the business object EMPLOYEE. For more information on the ENQUEUE method, please see the documentation on the function module BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUEUE.
Note: Create absence
Caution! This API method only writes the Absences infotype (2001). It should no longer be used as it can lead to inconsistent time data. Instead, please use the corresponding 'ManageCreation' API method for business object BUS7007.

Problem with Team Calendar from Create Leave Request

Hi Expert,
We are facing following 2 issues with Team Calendar-
1) When manager checks Team Calendar from create leave request he gets a warning message 'No team set up for the user in the selection period.Contact Administrator'
I know this issue has been reported earlier as well but i didn't find the thread where it has been answered correctly.
- OADP configuration is correct.
- Manager is head of org unit.
- Also IT105 exist for manager as well as employees.
We are currently checking on authorization side for this.
2) Team Calendar is showing leave details only for the current month. If we navigate to previous month it does not show anything even though there exist leave data for the given month.
Please suggest if we are missing something.

I dont remember the exact auth object but ask security team to apply trace for the user id and identify the same.
Also i would suggest you to check following setting before checking authorizations-
Get the Group of Organizational Views applicable for rule group in your case from following path
SAP Customizing Implementation Guide--> Personnel Management-->Manager Self-Service (Web Dynpro ABAP)--> Service Specific Settings-->Working Time--> Team Calendar--> Select Employees:
After getting Group of Org View Check the Evaluation path used in OADP configuration.
Please check if the evaluation path is correct as per your requirement.

Function modules to create leave request?

Hi experts,
In my project I need to create a leave request and trigger workflow for approval. Do you know any function modules existed for this purpose? Or shall we need to create workflow and attach it with inserting IT2001 records?

Are you going to use standard SAP Portal application for leave or not?
If yes there are documents available about ESS configuration for the same and you can assign the standard workflow or copy and make the required chnages then assign it in configuration.

Error in creating leave request

Hi ,
I am new to HR and i am working on Leave management.
When i am trying to crate a leave request workflow, i am getting the below error msg:
'Absence type 100 was not found in Customizing for 21.10.2010'
What could be the reason?\

Hello Kishore,
You don't have the absence type created on either one of the two following tables.
T554S - This one is for the Absence creation on the backend in IT2001.
T554S_Web - This one is to show on the frontend framework of the Leave Request.

Leave Request Approval Application

Hello Everyone,
I get the following error when clicking a leave request in the UWL to approve:
Service cannot be reached
What has happened?
URL http://cicerpaio.cice.ae:8015/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/ess~lea/LeaveRequestApprover call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
Note
The termination occurred in system ERD with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
What can I do?

Hi,
1. Navigate to System Administration->System COnfiguration->Universal Worklist Administration
2. Locate the WebFlow connector which is pointing to the R3 System for Leave Request task
3. Click on Edit and in Web Dynpro Launch system enter SAP_LocalSystem

I have a problem with iCloud sync and files on my iPhone and iPad.
I could use and open my files in Numbers App on my devices always.
But today I can not. This happened to ALL my files.
I also can not open and use on PC in iCloud website. I have attached the screenshots.
I tried and created a new document but it did not sync at all.
Please help.
The numbers and pages apps version are up to date too.
I have iphone 5S and ipad Air, both running iOS 8.1
in Manage Storage in iCloud , i checked and all my files are 0 KB size, but total storage of them is 2.7MB.

Any news to this?

Attaching document in CREATE mode on Purchase Requisition?

I am running ECC5.00.
If using the document management system (DMS), is there any way to configure DMS such that a user can attach a document (e.g. a PDF file) to the requisition in CREATE mode, i.e. during ME51N? Is there anyway to configure the DMS system such that the attachment is required prior to saving the requisition?

Yes. It is possible through Object Linking from DMS. You need to follow the below stated steps to achive Object linking.
1.Goto SPRO->CA Components->Document Management->Control Data--->Define Document Types.
2.Select the desired Document type which you need to make it available in your Purchase requisition. for ex: Contracts e.t.c.
& Click on "Define Object Links" from the left hand Panel.
3.Goto New Entries and Object as EBAN & Screen No as 247 & Save the entries.
4.Now go to DMS & Upload your documents.
5. To access Documents at Purchase Requisition Level first you need to maintain the Item level Details. Then Select an item and Click on the Icon "DOCUMENTS" just above the Item level. you can access only those document types which have been defined through Object linking.

Attaching documents in Lion's new Mail application is wonky.

When browsing for attachments in mail I cannot open a folder.
When I double click it attaches the entire folder. This only happens in mail. How can I fix this?

Configuring the attaching of documents to leave request

The current leave request in ESS was not configured to upload any supporting documents. The cleint now want to have the functionality to attach doctors notes, or any additional documents to the leave request. Please advise on the procedure for doing that with or without DMS. We need to expolore the 2 options.

A Pages '08 or earlier document is actually a package, a special kind of folder that appears as a single file, but isn't. You can't e-mail a folder which is why many mail clients balk. Apple Mail will automatically zip a folder, other e-mail clients don't, especially web-based e-mail. In the Finder, Control- or right-click on the Pages document & choose Create Archive… (Tiger) or Compress… (Leopard) from the contextual menu. You will now have a zipped Pages document that you can attach to your e-mail & send.
Your recipient must have Pages to be able to open your Pages file. If s/he doesn't, you can export the Pages document as Word or PDF & send that.
Pages 4/iWork '09 now saves a flat file by default (it can also save as a package). There is a Share menu that has the option to e-mail the document as Pages, Word or PDF.
