Attaching file in a Customer Master

Hi
I want to attach a pdf file in a customer master. But when I go to "Servives for object", the attachment icon is disabled. Any ideas here?

In the services for object Click on create Object Icon. It will ask for the attachement.

Add Right Side Column and Web Parts to custom Master page in SharePoint Online

Hello everyone,
I hope this is a simple question, however I was fighting the issue it presents for a while. I am in the process of customizing SharePoint Online Look-and-feel with a new layout.
The site collection was created as a
Team Site before I got involved with the project, and populated with numerous sub-sites and pages. I activated required
publishing features, created html with corresponding styles and graphics, and used the Design Manager to convert the html file to the custom Master page. While SharePoint automatically assigned “ContentPlaceHolderMain” div area, I
also used default Oslo page as example to copy sections of the code for dynamic components (left column and navigation, recent items, the ribbon, etc.) from it and placed them in my new master page, pointed all CSS references to
my custom style sheets, etc. Everything works great, however I need to make one last addition -
my task is to make changes to display web parts such as Calendar and Recent Documents in the right column in the Master page.
My custom layout has a header, footer, main pan and two side columns. Most of the default master templates come with the LEFT column already embedded and populated with several placeholder
to serve dynamic content (PlaceHolderLeftNavBarTop, PlaceHolderQuickLaunchTop, PlaceHolderLeftNavBarDataSource, PlaceHolderLeftActions, so on).
My challenge is that I have the RIGHT side column as well, for which I don’t think the default placeholder exists. I need to add a small Calendar box and Recent Documents parts to it, so they
display across the entire site governed by this master page.
The issue is –
even after activating Publishing features (enabled SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure under Site Collection Level, and SharePoint Server Publishing under the Site
Level), there is no Snippet feature (usually available under the generic Publishing Site); this customization of the Team Site allows using Designer and apply custom templates, themes, so on, just like you would under the Publishing collection, but not the
Snippet utility I could use as the solution to embed the web parts on the master page.
Recreating the entire site under Publishing Collection is not an option due to the directions I was given, I am to use this existing one, and need to see if
there is a workaround to either activate the Snippet feature or use another solution to display the web parts inside of the column in the Master page.
If the only solution is to use Web Part Zone, what are the steps to add it AND populate it with the abovementioned apps?
Can anyone suggest how to create a workaround and add this feature? The environment is role-based so both elements need to be dynamically rendered based on the user’s role and activities.
I am more of a front end designer than developer, so if any custom coding and set up required, please kindly provide some basic steps, if possible?..

Updating your Master Page to also include a right rail should be sraight forward enough with a new div or divs in your master page and then the proper styles to make room for this column as well as position the column.
I have not seen why you cannot find the snippet gallery link when previewing a HTML Master Page in the browser. Have you tried loading the snippet gallery by its url? As an example, for my tenant on SPO, I can load the Snippet Gallery for the olso.master
with the following url:
https://pixelmill.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/ComponentConfigureControls.aspx?ComponentName=TopNavigationNoFlyoutWithStartNode&Url=%2F_catalogs%2Fmasterpage%2Foslo.master
Change the domain to match yours as well as update the "Url" querystring var to point to your master page. See if that loads the snippet gallery.

PDF attachment to Customer Master Data

Hello!
I have a requirement to create a attachment to the customer master data (TCODE FD02 for example) in background. In online mode, there is a icon on the top left that allows you to attach files.
I want to a attach a pdf file. Is this possible in background mode, like a batch input or a function module?

I did not take action in this instance. Moderator action is usually quite clear - we leave a message explaining what we've done. I can guess what has happened here, but I can't say for sure. You posted a question, it was answered with a one liner "Search the forum with "SHD0". But you are quite wrong with regards to moderator action regarding points. If a question is a FAQ for example, then awarded points will be removed. If an answer violates the rules of the forum, points will be removed. If a user has violated the rules to an extent that they may be about to deleted, as final sanction points may be removed. If members try to cheat the point system, they'll have points remvoed.
Moderators do considerably more than monitor forums for silliness and abuse.

In customer master screen I need to create a note or attachment for particular customer..Whenever customer is entered in the sales order as a sold to party a pop message has to be provided saying that "This customer has some attachment or note".This can be done in user exit..But How the customer is linked with note..
In SOOD table objectid,and title of the note is stored.By using SO_OBJECT_GET_CONTENT function module I can see the entire contents.But I don´t have an idea about how the customer is linked with this particular object id..
Do you have any idea.It will be very useful..

How to call external js file to custom master page

Hi all,
I have created custom master page and i need to call external .js to master page. i tried every aspect of including this in master page. but this js is not running.
<script src="test.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
i have put the above calling js script to head tag.
And, When i am running the site, the js file is not loading.
How to load this js file to custom master page.

I have placed js file in same folder of custom master page.
This is quite annoying and i am struggling to call it.
js file is in same master page folder still i am calling it through whole URL as
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://SharePoint/sites/SiteName/_catalogs/masterpage/Master%20Page%20Template/test.js"></script>
Still it is not working.
Now i am not sure what is wrong here.

Need to export customer master data in a batch input file

Hello all,
I'm searching for a solution to export customer master data out of a R/3 system (Release 470).
The challenge is that the file must have the same structure like the file for batch input of customer master data (import file of the program RFBIDE00).
So, has anybody an idea, if there is a standard tool to get such a file? Or has anybody developed a report creating this structure by his own?

I have also come across the same problem as above. There is a standard program RFBIDET0 which has to be customized to get the file which can be uploaded to RFBIDE00. Do anybody come across this kind of problem before and have a program already. It will be of great help, if you can forward the program or guide.

File to IDOC scenario: Create customer master and then return customer no

Hi all.
I have a scenario to pass xml file to sap XI to generate IDOC to create customer master in SAP. My problem is that I need to return customer no. created in SAP from IDOC. Is there any solution to do this? Someone told me that BPM could be used for doing this but I don't know the steps.I have no problem in create customer master in SAP. My only problem is how to return customer no. Any help would be appreciate. Thank you.

This can not be done via sync-async bridge.There are 2 reasons for this
1.He has file adapter as sender and that doesn't support synchronous scenarios.
2.He has standard IDOC as receiver.there is no way you can fetch customer# from IDOC without writing a custom program,Thats why i said he need to either use RFC/Proxy or do some custom development.

Extract Customer Master attachment service text

Hi All,
I have got a requirement wherein I have to extract the texts attached in the Customer Master "SERVICES FOR OBJECT ' tab.
When I go to XD03 & enter the customer number & then When We click on SERVICES FOR OBJECT tab we get an attachment list & when we click on any of the note in the list it will be having some text, this text I have to extract.
Experts any inputs as to How can Proceed.

DOCUMENT_DATA will not have the actual data, I mean the name of the NOTE altogether.
I have found a solution. The same is as follows :-
Based on the DOCUMENT_DATA, I am querying table SOOD for the information I needed by passing OBJTYP, OBJYR & OBJNO that I get from DOCUMENT_DATA, in the where clause & I am getting OBJDES ( Name of the Note ) , OWNNAM ( Name of the ceator ) & CRDAT ( Creation Date )
     SELECT OBJTP
            OBJYR
            OBJNO
            objdes
            ownnam
            crdat
            crtim
            FROM sood
            INTO TABLE it_sood
            FOR ALL ENTRIES IN it_temp
            WHERE objtp = it_temp-objtp

In SAP i can see only temp. structure table SGOS_ATTA when i look for table information, so i dont know where to look for these files although i tried great selection of tables which either were empty

Good evening. When I try to rename a master file or export a master file, it only allows 9 spaces for my new name, even though Aperature 3 allows many more spaces than that for version names. This creates a lot of problems and headaches for me.

When I try to rename a master file or export a master file, Aperature 3 only recognizes the first 9 spaces for raw .NEF files, even though it easily uses twice that many spaces for version names. I have a system in place that works really well for me, wherein by changing the file name I can recognize what's important to me just by glancing at the file name, no matter what system it is in, I do not have to open or mouse over anything to know what the file is. My files also arrange themselves in order no matter what file system they are in. Can someone please tell me if there is a setting, or something I am doing wrong, that prevents me from using a longer Master file name. I can't be the only person who would like to have his Master File names correspond to the name that appears in the Aperature library, and would like to use at least 16 spaces (numbers, letters, etc.)

Hi Frank,
As you suggested, I am attaching several screen shots. In the first one you can see how I set up my preset. I used "Custom Name" and "Counter" with a dot between the two drag ins, followed by "D90". I also have a dot to seperate the 8 digits in the Custom Name and make it easier to read.
I then click "OK" which takes us to the second screen shot. Here you can see that in the Example File Name everything looks perfect, and you can see I have clicked on "Apply to Master Files".
In the third screen shot you can see that the version in my library did in fact change correctly. With the "mouse over" pop up screen you can see, however, that the Master File name was changed to "1933.1017.NEF". It failed to carry the "12D90" and if I go to where my masters are stored that is exactly what the name was changed to.
In the fourth screen shot I attempt to export the master. You can see how my "Version Name" is set up.
And finally on the 5th screen shot you see in the File Name Example the name "1933.1017.NEF" once again, which when I export the master is exactly how the name will appear. Since I will export more than one file at a time , a (1) and a (2) etc., will appear at the end of the names because all the files are being given the same "1933.1017.NEF" name.
I hope this reply does a better job of clarifying my problem. I am anxious to see if this is something I simply misunderstood, or if I am simply doing something wrong.

Custom Master Page - CSS & Dynamic Display

I have created a css file and attached it using Site Settings> Master Page> Alternate CSS URL. This works really well and I get the customisations for the global navigation drop-downs as below including colours size etc.
For my drop-downs, I'm wanting three levels of fly-out. So, I created a custom master page from seattle.html and even before I made the change to
MaximumDynamicDisplayLevels="3" - I set this new page as the default. When I look at the site now, the CSS customisations are not showing (see below).
The new master page is not applying my css file. Any ideas why?

Custom Master Page Issue in Intranet

Hi All,
I hope someone can assist with this, we implemented this particular SharePoint 2007 portal approximately 5 years ago. An outside consultant created this custom master page, for some reason out of nowhere we are experiencing this bizarre issue with
the master page and checking in and out documents. I have attached an image showing the error message being displayed below(couldn't attach until my account was verified but it states 'Error invalid viewstate, port 52208, user agent Mozilla/4.0..., viewstate,
referrer, path). I came across one source on the web that stated something about the search box code and it causing issues out of nowhere on the master page. So in my dev environment I made the change and removed the following code from the master
page below.

By any chance, do you still have access to the solution package in which the master page was contained? Normally, you would see another .ascx user control overriding the delegate search control in there. I'm almost positive that this custom control is
what causing this issue.

most of the fields will be present in the BAPI function. some fields may not be avialable in that BAPI. first list out the fields what you want, then you check the fields in BAPI, and also you can go for LSMW Recording method or LSMW batch input method.
check this batch input program RFBIDE00 .
For testing the BAPI you have to input the data manually in SE37. First create a sample customer in XD01, use the same data for testing the BAPI.
