Attaching files to task

Hai all,
    I am facing a problem like this.  i.e. While attaching a document to a task in cprojects  it wont get attached but no error statement is displayed.
    Is there is any prerequisites while attaching a file to task?.

are you using the GOS object to attach files ?

    Hi all,
            we have attached a pdf file to a task list and when we are watching the print preview in work order it is appearing in different format. what might be the problem? how can i resolve it. please explain me in brief

    I guess, there is no option to get the print preview of the attachments. Please let us know how you attached to the task list. Have you attached as Document PRT?

  • How to add "Comments" and attach files onto a form?

    My server is LiveCycle ES 2.5, trial version, Turnkey install / Express mode  with  Reader Extensions.
    Client side has IE8 and Reader X 10.1.2.
    User interface is the standard out-of-the-box WorkSpace ES.
    I have an application that routes a PDF form through a Workflow,
    the input/output of the User Tasks is a Document variable that points to the PDF form.
    I know that in the WorkSpace, ther's a built-in Attachment "tab" where the user can attach files and get them routed along with the form.
    But how about Reader's "attach file" (the paper clip) and annotations (the yellow sticker)?  how to allow users to use those features?
    I tried it in the WorkSpace, and when the form is loaded in the IE window, those features were disabled.
    How to enable them?
    Do I need to modify the standard Render service? and add 'Apply Usgae Rights' or something?
    is there an easier way that I missed?
    thanks

    Attachments are lost if your form submits as XDP. If you change the submit type to PDF then server that same PDF back to the next user, the attachments will be there. If you decide for other reasons, you still want to submit as an XDP, take a look at this: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4316578#4316578

  • Using forms button to insert a page from an attachment file?

    Could somebody point me in the right direction so that I can understand how to approach the following task?
    I want to create a form that has a button that a user can press if a particular condition is met.
    For example if it is raining outside the user will press button "A" and a specific page, taken from an attached file, containing a picture of an umbrella will be inserted after the current page.
    If it is sunny outside then the user will press button "B" and a different page, taken from the same attached file, containing a picture of a beach will be inserted after the current page.
    I think I know that I need to use a JavaScript application level function.
    Is there an easier way of achieving the same result?

    Hi Jari,
    Thanks for your response - apologies for now replying sooner.
    I decided to remove the pages in the application builder and then implement the changes using an application export as suggested - went smoothly.  I used the Advisor to check the application which highlighted some additional redundancy that I needed to take care of resulting from removing the pages.
    Thanks
    Karl

  • Create folder view with files and tasks

    Good day to you,
    we want to support our software development procces with Vibe. What we are doing is, we make changes to the source code and protocol corresponding things in certain files.
    We think in so called "releases" and every release consists of tasks and a list of changes. This list is held in an excel file, so I would like to create a folder view, which consists of tasks and files.
    So far I could create a custom folder view with attachments at the top and a task list at the bottom, based on the task family.
    The problem is, the attachment view as a standard folder view does not allow colleborative editing of attached files. You can only view and download attached files, but not open them via Office addin. Therefore you can not lock or version files, which is mandatory for collaborative work.
    I would like to mix the file folder view with it's possibilities with a task folder view.
    Any ideas?
    Warm regards
    bitschnau

    There's no out of the box way to achieve what you're looking for.
    Two solutions:
    1. Your users would need to open the entry first and then click on the "edit this file" link.
    2. You could code your own folder view or landing page element and build what you need.
    HTH
    Cheers

  • In Firefox, can't attach files to Yahoo Mail outgoing messages. Yahoo Mail works fine in Internet Explorer though.

    Since yesterday, when I switched from Comcast to AT&T as my broadband internet connection, I have not been able to attach files to my Yahoo mail messages using Mozilla Firefox. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer, but my default browser is Firefox by choice. Is this a Yahoo issue or a Firefox issue? Can you help me resolve it?

    Not helpful. 'clearing Firefox's cache' is not helpful, since 'cache' doesn't show up in any of the Firefox pulldown menu choices (wasted time looking for that), and the plethora of things 'recent' and 'history' to choose to act on in these menus is also a possible waste of time, not to mention removing useful info for no reason.
    I, too, have had this problem 'intermittently' for many months, always involving the 'first' file to attach in a Yahoo! email, and I've always used this workaround OK: click on the filename showing as 'being attached' (while Yahoo's doohickey round spinner denoting 'in progress' whirls and whirls to no effect) and use "Remove File"; THEN, REPEAT 'attach file' task & it then works, if slowly. After that for the same email, attaching add'l files NEVER HAS A PROBLEM.
    SO, now today, without any software update yet (I've downloaded Firefox v.11 & will install shortly), at numerous attempts during the day, I CANNOT get the FIRST file to attach in a Yahoo! email. Simply, utterly, frustrating without any rhyme or reason. "Everything else, on plethora of sites, working fine."
    thanks.

  • How to setup a variable attachment in SendMail task in SSIS?

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm using a SQL2k5. I want to configure a variable attachment in SendMail task, but I didn't find where I should go to.
    In the above pic, I can only input a hard-coded path. Howerver, the file pattern is like "1-test", ''2-test","3-test" and so on. I have already created and configured the variable, but if I input say, @filename, it just doesn't work.
    Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you very much.

  • Attaching Files to To Dos and Events

    Hi all
    More questions.
    Is there within iCal or through third party scripts a way to attach files to To Dos or Events a la Palm Desktop ?
    Dragging to the notes field gives the path to file but no clickable launch.
    Kind Regards
    Eric
    PS eg is there a syntax where the url field through localhost could be used to launch the file ?

    I hope the next version of iCal coupled with the new Mail application will come close to the functionality Now Up to Date and Contact gave me 10 years ago. Back then, I could attach people to email (using Claris Emailer), attach tasks to documents, put everything together, log telephone calls...
    Now Up to Date changed to Windows and Claris Emailer went belly up. It shouldn't be so hard to associate people with documents (and to aliases of these documents so that changes get reflected).
    Oh yeah, and making it possible so that my published iCalendars aren't accesible to each and every single web browser in the planet.

  • Attaching Files: Reader Extensions Enabled

    I may not be understanding rightly, but have used a couple of sample files that have an 'add attachment' example (below is from example), and my form is distributed with reader extensions enabled, but this does not work in Adobe Reader.  What is the best method to give the person completing the form an avenue to upload and/or attach files?  If I have a web upload address for files, is there a way to add that to the form so they can stay in the form and still 'submit' it, but send their files to the web address?  Would prefer if they could attach in the PDF form to keep everything together but welcome any ideas that will work in Reader, thank you.
    var myDoc = event.target;
    var sFile = "myFile" + NumericField1.rawValue;
    myDoc.importDataObject({cName: sFile});
    var myDataObject = myDoc.getDataObject(sFile);
    var sFileName = myDataObject.path;
    ListBox1.addItem(sFileName,sFile);
    NumericField1.rawValue = NumericField1.rawValue + 1;

    Hi Sparrowce,
    I checked it at my end and i'm also getting the same issue. It seems that PDF rights enabled by Acrobat Reader extension would not provide necessary permission to the PDF to perform this task. However, i tried extending permissions via Livecycle Reader Extension server and it worked for me.
    Hence, i would say that for this issue you would require the LC Reader extension server as Acrobat as a desktop product would not be able to provide sufficient rights to the PDF for this concern.

  • How to remove attached files from an interactive Form?

    Hi,
    is it possible to delete all the attached files from an interactive form?
    I'm able to extract all the files and store them separately. But I found no way to store the interactive form without attachments.
    There is a method called SET_ATTACHMENTS, but transferring an empty table is not allowed.
    What should I do?
    Code:
    *     Create PDF Object.      lo_pdfobj = lo_fp->create_pdf_object( connection = l_dest ).
    *     Set document.      lo_pdfobj->set_document( pdfdata = iv_filecontent ).
    *     Set task to get attachments.      lo_pdfobj->set_task_getattachments( ).
    *     Execute, call ADS.      lo_pdfobj->execute( ).
    *     Get result.      et_attachments = lo_pdfobj->get_attachments( ).

    hi,
    i want to send notification to user(sap user)in workflow.
      with this notification ,the workflow attach file automatically,
    how can i do this one,
    with Container attachobject, can i do.
    or can i use any diffrent process,
    pls tell me briefly, becausei am new to workflow.
    thanks
    sankar

    Hi Sankar,
    Its simple. In the task , you can see a tick
    "Confirm End of Processing ". If you check that then at the time of execution of the work item by the agent , there is a scope to attach a file.
    Pls reward if useful.

  • Is there a way to attach files into a Captivate Project like Adobe Presenter?

    All,
    There are things I like about Adobe Presenter and things I like better in Adobe Captivate.  Is there a way to attach files like spreadsheets, PDFs, and Word documents in Adobe Captivate like you can in Adobe Presenter?  It is real easy to do and I find it hard to imagine tha Captivate does not have an easy mechanism for doing this unlike Adobe Presenter which does it naturally.
    I am working on a project that has a complicated Table of Contents that Adobe Presenter cannot handle (yet Articulate works creates TOCs without any issue).  All the slides visible or none or lack of grouping options are not accpetable.  So I am redoing this in Captivate.  For the most part I am having no issues with the TOC but the point of this little project is to disseminate a spreadsheet to audience members that care to download it.  Here is where Presenter is better since it is real simple to do this.  Am I just lost in Captivate or do I need to do something "un-godly" complicated for a simple task?
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    I'm using Presenter too, not only Captivate. Use Presenter often as wrapper for CP-movies (if I do not need the right click functionality). And I agree: some aspects are more attractive in Presenter (thinking about the Notes panel, the automatic adaption of the languages...). But you have to miss grouping in the TOC, and for real eLearning with interactivity, branching, I go for Captivate.
    If you want some features transferred to Captivate, why not filling in a feature request? The form is on the main page of these forums.
    Just wanted to help you. The action 'Open URL or File' is not that complicated to use.
