Does the Iphone 3G not have the capability to attach a photo to a text message?

well that's SxxxxD! sorry...what if someone sends me a text with a photo attached? does the iphone say anything or does it just bounce back on the sender? funny how the samsung instinct and other phones have this capability. not sure what apple was thinking. THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY!!! just a little frustrated.

I dont know how long this has been going on but I just noticed that I cant attach photos in my text messages anymore. I also cant forward pics either. The "forward" tag is grayed out...I dont know what is going on or what I did but I need it fixed, help please!

My Torch will not send a text with a photograph. It has until just a few days ago. I have tried "rebooting" the phone more than once to no effect. It will send a text without a photograph without issue.
What might have caused the change and how can I fix the problem?

Hi and Welcome to the Community!!
MMS (sometimes called "picture messaging") is, on BlackBerry, a component of your data level services...SMS (true text messages) are part of your voice level services.
Hence, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) Batt Pull Reboot
With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you contact your mobile service provider (ATT according to your profile here) for formal support...and to be sure that you remain subscribed (from them) to an adequate data plan to enable the services you desire.

Best way to email photos and text together in an email without attachment.

Just curious everyone, I notice that you can use text edit, and drag photos in, but when you try to attach something as an rtfd. file, it doesn't work. Atleast in hotmail and gmail atleast.
What then, is another good way to compose a few photos with text to quickly email??
What I did was go straight to text edit when I had the idea.
I took a few photos, and uploaded them and edited them to text edit, I worked on the text and made a nice little piece.
But it ...yeah, you know....I have this feeling that there is a much faster and more convenient way to do this.

I get dozens of photos from a job site every day and it just takes forever.
I had hoped there was an easier - or at least more direct and simpler way.

Why do my photos and text disinigrate quality when imported to premier pro cs6?
I have still shots that have text and they look clean and crisp when I view them in photoshop. Why does the photo and text look so fuzzy or blurry and not crisp when I import the still files into premier pro cs6?
Is there a setting in premier that I am setting incorrectly? That is possibly blurring my photos and text? The problem appears in both my PR file and my final exported work.
Is there a way to retain the quality of the image and text that I see in my photoshop file?
Note: I am not enlarging anything after import, I am reducing though, but I would think this would only make images and text sharper????
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Im getting tired of doing all my work and delivering blurry / fuzzy / what appears to be low resolution images and text when I complete my project.

Hi Jim, thanks so much again for chiming in to my questions.
Specs of Stills - Photoshop file - 677 x 1014px, 150dpi, 1.96M file size, 150dpi, this is the size of the file I originally imported and reduced to approx. 65%, the one sized properly in photoshop imported fuzzier.
Sequence Settings -
Export Settings, FLV, attached are settings.
1. EXPORT FILTER SETTINGS...
2. EXPORT FORMAT SETTINGS
3. EXPORT VIDEO SETTINGS
FINAL PROJECT IS DELIVERY OF FLV FILE TO EMBED IN INTERACTIVE FILE. Ive tried different settings for different jobs, just feel all text and photos fall apart when pulled into and exported to FLV for embedding final.
Ive done several slideshow and video's in premier pro, have so much to learn still, Im thinking I keep diving into my projects and possibly making a total mess out of my settings for the desired final destination? is this possible?

Attachment photo asked to use gallery or photos to open picture attachment then is says "just once or always" tapped photo and always and now different photos appear

in text messaging i received a photo as an attachment - i tapped on attached photo and dialogue box says " open with photos or Gallery" I tapped photos, then is says once or forever I tapped forever. Now when I tap an attachment from that sender is displays a random photo from that sender. How can I change back to original settings from this user.

Go into Settings > Applications > Default applications. You should see a listing of apps you have set as a default... and you can change those to your liking from there.

To post an image in  Discussions, create a Screen Shot of the image you wish to post.
Upload the image to an online storage facility, like one of these linked to below.
Flickr
ImageShack
PhotoBucket
PICVAULT
Twango
Then use HTML formatting, to insert the URL of the location.
Use this format <img src="Insert URL Here">
Post the resulting line of text.
Keep the images small, and unobtrusive, when possible.
You can also just post a Link/URL, to the image location, using this format:
<a href="Insert URL Here">Type Title Here</a>
Or use Skitch.

Attach Photo in formmail.php

I have created a form with name, phone, email, message and attach photo. When I fill out the form and email it back to me everything but the attach photo works. A friend told me that I'm trying to handle the photo attachment like the other fields and it won't work. Unfortunately he didn't have an answer for what would work. I've pasted the formamail.php file in question below. I want to be able to allow users to attach up to 8 photos. Any suggestions?

Firefox won't display attached photos from photobucket in my forum

Hi everybody,
Me and other members of the [http://snowclub.gr/forums/index.php snowclub.gr] forum cannot see attached photos (e.g. [IMG]http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo247/ALCATRAZ_GR/IMG_2183_low.jpg[/IMG]) on the forum. I can see that the URL above is displayed as http://'''i3%38%30'''.photobucket.com/albums/oo247/ALCATRAZ_GR/IMG_2183_low.jpg and that kind of address is not recognized by Firefox.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

You can use the bookmarklet code to make the images visible if you do not see them. 
The bookmarklet changes the URL of the images and converts the escaped characters to their real characters. 
I don't know why the s380 get escaped if you upload the images. 
Are you using the copy to clipboard on photobucket page to copy the IMG code to the clipboard?
Does that also happen if you type the text instead of pasting the link text?
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

PSE7 Newbie - How do I do this -- see attached photo.

I have a question about the attached photo which was photoshop'ed by a family friend (out of state and I don't have his number).
I know he did it with photoshop and I am wondering if I can do the same thing in Elements.
I am still trying to figure out what he did, so could someone give me a clue as to what he did and let me know if it is something I can do in PSE 7.0.
The part I am interested is the frame around the people in the family picture. Did he do something inside the frame (and what) to highlight the area inside the frame or did he do something (like what) outside the frame to dull down this area (I suspect the latter, but don't know what or how he did it.
I think I have the text figured out; just a Text layer, isn't it.
So could someone help me with the frame business.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial -- it was exactly what I needed (I wasn't ignoring you, just got busy with thanksgiving). Although, it was not as easy as it appeared, at least for me -- I did manage to figure most of it out. It was educational and helped me a lot.
However, I did have one small problem -- which was step 6.
I managed to get the color into the inverted selected area, but I did not use the "color picker" references in step 6 -- because I could not figure out where the color picker thing was. In fact, I wasn't even sure how to fill in the selected area (finally used the Fill Selection option), but upon re-reading your instructions, I think that maybe the Fill Selection was the option I was supposed to use for this step. You just had it at the end of step 6 instead of the beginning.
And you know what, as I am re-reading your instructions, is the color picker the thing/option in the popup you get after selecting Fill Selection. I.E. Instead of using the Foreground or Background options, I chose "color" on the Fill Selection popup -- so was I using the color picker when I did that, and didn't realize it.
OK, got it, I think. I guess I was using the Color Picker after all. I went back to my book and found I got my figures mixed up. I think I was looking for something called the Color Swatches instead of the Color Picker -- guess I just need to do some more reading to get more familiar with the terms.
So, I think I have everything figured out now, if everything I have said above is correct. I have had this happen before -- that is, when you try to explain what is happening, you figure it out. Thanks for listening -- and if you have any more suggestions, I'm open to them.

P.S. Maybe one more somewhat unrelated question. When I execute one of the options you suggested, like using the Strobe to create the frame or the Fill Selection -- what if I get it wrong (frame too wide or narrow, or the fill color wrong), is there a way to "edit" what I have just done or is the only option to just do an undo and do it again.

1st keep in mind that iCloud storage is different from photo stream storage, so you may not have backed up your iPhone as you said since you have no iCloud Storage but still there is a possibility that they are in photo stream storage. Apart from that I can only tell you that the main thing is somehow have the iPhone plugged in into a computer so you can import all pictures but if the computer does not see the device i´m afraid that you may not recover the pictures.

Problem attaching photos to emails

When I attach photos to my emails on gmail I am unable to edit the body of the email. Everything else works OK but I can only send messages with the default messages which appear when I open the message. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? I am on Photoshop elements 11.

This is a problem with the Adobe e-mail client.
The workaround is as follows.
Open Notepad and compose your message there
Select the whole message and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl & C)
Switch to the new email message
Highlight the text to be replaced and do paste (Ctrl & V)

Friends on Android galaxy do not receive my emails with attached photos sent from my iPhone. Why

I have an iPhone 4 running 6.1 OS. Several times I have taken photos with my iPhone and then tried to email them from my iPhone to friends using Android Galaxy. They never receive the emails. When I select the photo to be emailed from "Camera Roll", several options appear (Mail, Message, Photo Stream, Twitter, Facebook etc). I select "Mail", then select an email address from my contact list, add some text to the message, select the size of photo and send. The email with attached photo is never received. Any idea why?

Well, your response about MMS is beyond my understanding unfortunately. Don't understand too well this issue of MMS and IMessage. I checked my settings and "Send as MMS" was OFF. I have turned it ON and tried to re-send the photos. No word yet if it was received.. Also, the "send and receive" addresses in the "Messages" setting only included my "@me" email address, and not my Yahoo address, which I am trying to add. It doesn't seem to be able to complete the verification process for that Yahoo address (it remains in a perpetual state of "verifying"), although it did add an "icloud" address, and my cell phone number. I have my "cellular data" turned OFF because I am in the States (I am Canadaian) and wish to restrict roaming charges. So are you saying that I cannot send photo attachments in emails from my iPhone, while connected to the in-house internet modem/router - ie., that I can do so only if my "cellular data" setting is ON? Then why do the messages still appear in the SENT folder? Do the settings on the recipient phone have an impact? It doesn't seem so because they were able to receive the messages from the PC/Hotmail source.

Thank you for posting the issue here and providing more information. I did some research on the carrier and this is what I found about sending a receiving messages.
Please call your service provider to find out if there are any limitations on attachment sized for your phone plan.
I tried looking up to verify how to manually set up email for the email app for your phone, but was not sure what model you had: please check here for troubleshooting info [http://www.vodafone.com.au/help/devices/ota-settings] if the email is already set up, please ignore.

If this continues after any optimizing changes the service provider recommends:
*Are there download settings set in the email menu
*What is the size of the attachment when this happens?
*Is it a specific file type this consistently happens?
*what kind of email account does this happen with, and is it consistent for other emails as well? If so it may be the apn settings.
If you are unable to access the images from the account with Vodafone, it may be the following bugs that is affecting this.
