Attachment in workflow user decision

Hi All,
Can anybody let me know how to use attachment in workflow user decision box? My requirement is I have one internal table and I want to display the data of the internal table as an attachment.

Attachment in WORKFLOW user decision step

Hi all,
My requirement is to display a link in user decision step.
When link is clicked, control should navigate to MM02 transaction.
Also in following user decision step i need to provide link for smart form in user decision.

Attach PO to User Decision

hello Experts,
My Question is really simple , as i'm pretty new to workflow i just want to ask . How to attach PO (ME21N) to a user decision step?

Hi Ahmed,
In before step(which can be a background activity), in your method Create a reference to the PO Business Object and Export to WF.
Bind it to ATTACHOBJECTS which is a WF contianer Element. And bind ATTACHOBJECTS to the Decision step task container
element ATTACHOBJECTS.
SWC_CREATE_OBJECT <obj variable> <Business Object> <PO Number>. " Obj variable of type TOJTB
This creates an attachment to the transaction.

Workflow : User Decision on Email using Web Services

Hi,
I have the requirement of sending User Decision on Email Using Web Services.
Eg : I have created one ECR Using T-Code "CC31" and on status change "CC32" of this ECR, My workflow triggers. Now what i want is to send the User Decision on maintain User Email ID as URL link. This link will contain the ECR Nos. There will be "N" nos of Links send on email depending on Requirement. By clicking on that Particular Link , Action taken should be updated in sap.
URL Link is just like confirmation link send on our email id during user Registration on some Website or when we create our Gmail / Yahoo Account.

Why not use the extended notifications? - it has an option to send links to approve/reject or any other option in the decision task and use a standard web service. See the document attached to note 1646056 - Workflow Quick Start Guide to Extended Notifications.

Workflow user-decision mail with Approve & Reject button to Outlook.

Requirement: To send a mail with Approve & Reject buttons to outlook inbox.
Approach: I have used the user-decision step in the workflow and the approve, reject buttons are displayed . As far as solution in SAP inbox is concerned, it is solved.
However the requirement is to show the mail with the buttons in the outlook mail.
Resolution Required For: to show the mail with the buttons in the outlook mail. I am new to workflows sending mail to outlook inbox. Is there any way to do this using ABAP developments.

Hi,
If you are on ECC 5.0 or above, you can use the Extended Notif. for achieving this.
How are you getting the Outlook mail ?. If you already have Extn.Notif, then do the following :
1. In Transaction SWNCONFIG,for your Scenario and Category,
in the Subscription Basis Data -->Subscription Settings,
Set the parameter SHOW_ACTION_DECISION_AS as "LINK"
This will give you the options of your user decision as LInks in Outlook mail.
There is lot of material in this forum for Extended Notif. if you search.

Workflow: User Decision Activity doesn't work

URGENT!!!
I've created a User Decision Activity but it doesn't work.
It sends a message to SBWP but there the user hit APROVE OR REJECT, and instead it work, it simply show another screen with only a button labelad "Cancel and keep work item in inblox".
It simplily doesn't folow.
I've created an method that executes a standard function 'EDITOR_TABLE' that call a screen to the user put a description text for the rejection. It's market 'Advance with dialog'.

Your patch level seems to be OK.
pls. try the declaration as 'Data: uid like syst-uname' or you could try directly assigning the sy-uname.
Try to debug and see the content of the sy-uname, when it hits this code.

SAP Business WORKFLOW User Decision Rejection Rollback.

Dear SAP experts.
Please help on below Query:
1) In my Custom workflow , we are mailing to a user with user decision on change of some SAP data.( material master, source list, PO change).
2) In A User Decision there are 2 Options:
APPROVE Changes.
REJECT Changes.
3) As per CLIENT's Requirment if REJECT changes is chosen then all SAP chanegs that were done to TRIGGER this WORKFLOW should be Rolled back and UNDONE.
4) is this Possible?
5) Please guide me with some Example or Logic to accompalish this task...

You can check what are the changes that are done from Changedocument tables like CDHDR and CDPOS
Please make sure to put filter such that the rollback change does not trigger new Workflow. You can achieve this using SWB_COND by maintaining start condition.

Workflow user decision problem

Hi experts!
I've got a problem on using the user decision in workflow.
i have a workflow with a user decision that has 3 user decision options (basketball, volleyball, and badminton)
Here is the problem:
After i selected one of them and flagged them as finished.
I'd like to loop again with that user decision but the decision options now will be the remaining two and the other one will not be displayed
ex:
BEGINNING
options:
 basketball (selected)
 volleyball
 badminton
AFTER LOOP
options:
 volleyball
 badminton
Here's the question:
 how will i do that? 
i would like to make a workflow with using only one user decision. Based on my thinking i would come up with so many user decisions if i randomly select the decision options.

There is an user exit for customizing our work items but I am afraid that will it be applicable to your requirement. I tried your scenario to pass variables to the user decision, but i failed. Experts please share your views. Is it possible to pass variables to user decisions using user exits?

Need Help in Workflow - User decision

I have to pass 5 parameter with this user decision title but they only give 4 parameter options in the user decision step. Is there anyway I can have five parameter place?

You might try creating a container element which is a long text field. Then write a method that will concatenate 2 or more of your parameters into the text field. Call this method before the decision step, and use this text field as a parameter.
If you do this, you need to find out what the maximum length of a parameter can be (I think it's 50 char).
All seems like a lot of work for one extra parameter, though!

Is it possible in standard steps to give the user step of decision, but with options with checkboxes, for example 3, so that he can check or uncheck any of them?

what you can do is instead of using the Expression in the step and instead of using &_Wi_INITIATOR& , you declare a workflow container element of type SWHACTOR where you need to pass the object type as P and his pernr number , i mean you hva e to fill two fields in this element

Maint. Order as Attachment in workflow decision step!!!!

I am making a workflow in which i want to attach the Maintenance Order in the Decision Step , is it possible or not.
How can i do attachment in Send Mail Step is there any provision.
Basically my requirement is like:-
When the User create the Maintenance Order a workflow should trigger which will go the SAP Inbox of the recipient now he has to see the maint. Order created and should approve if it can be Released or not .
When he does the approval the application should go for the another approval and when he approves the application is sent back to the workflow initiator.
Please suggest me what is the best way to do this scenerio. As i m very new to workflow so have only basic knowledge

Have a look at std WF like WS20000014, WS20000021 etc..
It will give idea about maintenace order processing
Regarding your question about attaching objet to User decision, yes, its possible. Just Bind the Maintenance Order Object related container element to AdhocObjects elemnet of user decision.
Your overall process can be there will be 2 user decision steps.
Once these two steps approve, then you can use a third step with background task which will actually release the maintenace order. e.g. For this step you can use BAPI.

Workflows : Objects & Attachments @ User Decision Step ?

As Ramki said,I was able to create a link in the OBJECTS and ATTACHMENTS part for a normal Activity step.
But now my requirement is to create a Link at Objects and Attachments part in USER DECISION Step. Can I do so?
I tried copying the DECISION BO to ZDECISION and copied the the standard Decision task TS00008267 to my task say..TS97900168 with my BO ZDECISION, Now when I tried to include this task in the WF User Decision step, I am getting an error that I cannot include any other object other than DECISION BO.
I thought of creating a ZDECISION Business Object and change the Default method of this BO. But I am not able to include a Z Business Object in the USER DECISION Step itself.
Is there any way of instantiating the Objects and Attachments part with our own Attachment of the USER DECISION Step.

I am not sure I understand your requirement correctly. But an agent can attach objects or documents at a decision step by clicking on the Create button in the Decision step display.
Is there any way of instantiating the Objects and Attachments part with our own Attachment of the USER DECISION Step.
You can copy the standard decision task and define container elements for the BO references already available in the WF container. Bind them from WF to the step. These objects will then show up under Objects and attachments in the decision step.
You can use the 'Create object reference' wizard to create an object reference if it is not already available.

Dynamic name for attachment in User Decision

I have a requirement wherein the name of the attachment in the user decision has to be populated dynamically. I am using the same BO method for user decision but is triggering 2 different objects. Please advice on how to achieve this.
Scenario - I am using BUS2081 for Invoice and for Credit Memo. If the credit memo is created, the approver has to see the name of the attachment as Credit Memo xxxx and if an invoice is created, he has to see the attachment as Invoice xxxx. As standard, whatever object is created, the attachment name is Incoming Invoice xxxx (name of the BO Object Bus2081).

The object name is static but the default attribute can be changed (use a z-subobject and delegate back) so you can do something like this: instead of: incoming invoice(object name) 12345(invoice number - default attribute) you will have document(new object name) incoming invoice/credit memo 12345(document type & number concatenated - a new default attribute)
Another option - I think credit memos have an object (BUS2094) or you can create one - in the task have both object types in the container, when its a credit memo transfer only the credit object when it's an invoice transfer only the invoice object.

Sapscript as PDF-Attachment in Workflow

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a new workflow for releasing purchase orders.
If the workitem passes all the controlling steps of the management, it should be sent automatically as PDF via email to our vendor.
The problem is, how to get the PDF as an attachment? We are using SAPscript for our PO formular (and of course the PDF-Attachment should look like the printed version).
I was already looking in the internet for a solution, but it is really hard to find some answers for this problem.

The workflow should run in this way. The purchaser creates an order --> supervisor gets a SAP Mail (workflow user decision step) to accept it --> the supervisor of the supervisor then gets a SAP mail to accept it --> PDF is sent to the vendor (only if everybody signed this PO before).
I will try following now: I will create a new workflow task to execute a method (for getting the PO as a PDF attachment) and a new workflow container item to store the attachment.
As next WF step I will use the standard send mail step.
Are I am right with this soulution (nothing programmed yet, still not so sure how to do it - but hope to find a solution to manage this).
