Attachment to mail and Weekly events in cakendar
Please Apple stop making IOS look beautiful and start giving us functional and practical apps. Why can we still not add attachments from within an email? And please please if I add a new event and select repeat Weekly why does it STIL NOT GIVE ME DAYS OF THE WEEK TO REPEAT? I am a personal trainer and clients train same time on dif days. Now I have to create dif events for each session.

I've checked all the settings and everything is fine.
The problem is with sending attachment.When we are sending mail without attachment, it is working fine.
Also attachment is getting generated perfectly.I can see the attchment at work item of mail send through SWI1.
One more point I want to add that attachment is in pdf format.

CMFirst make an iCal backup, File > Export > Archive.
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
If the issue persists:
Remove the following to the trash and restart your computer:
Home > Library > Caches
Home > Library > Calendars > Calendar Cache, Cache, Cache 1, 2, 3, etc. (Do not remove Sync Cache or Theme Cache)
Home > Library > Preferences > com.apple.ical (There may be more than one of these. Remove them all.)
__NOTE: Removing these files will remove any shared (CalDAV, exchange, etc.) calendars you may have access to. You will have to re-add those calendars to iCal > Preferences > Accounts.

I tried to send too large an attachment using mail,and now mail is hung up trying to send any message. How do I reset mail?
It will time out, if it hasn't already. Delete the message from the Outbox.

Yes, the inbound mail attachment is supported in B2B PS3 (11.1.1.4.0) but you cannot send both attachment and body to a JMS queue simultaneously from B2B. Body will be passed to the JMS queue and attachment will be written to the b2b.attachments.dir (set as B2B property in EM console) -

When I open an excel file as an attachment in mail and decide to edit it in iWork then
I can't return anymore to my inbox, when I am in "mail" again.
The mail app remains on the excel file without giving buttons to return.
In a normal situation (with just viewing the file and not open and edit it in iWork) buttons
Will appear, but now they don't and the only solution is to reboot the iPad!
Do I miss something or is this a bug?
Message was edited by: Nils AriensI have the same issue when viewing iWork 08 documents. The preview works fine. If you select the "Open in..." option, you received a pop up error. When you clear the pop up, the option to return to Mail is gone. Touching the screen does not bring it back. Nor does rotating, exiting Mail and returning, or anything else short of powering down the iPad.

I used Internet explorer but was having difficulties reading "sky's" e-mails, I was recommended by Sky to use Firefox. I can now read the e-mails but when I send an e-mail and an attachment, to 4 addressees (which I have done every week for about 5 years, using internet explorer) they don't arrive at any of the intended destination, can anyone give me a solution to my problem. I haven't tried to send an attachment to myself, not sure exactly how to do that but I'll have a look Friday/Saturday when I get home.
As to the mail system, I use Sky's e-mail, as I said it use to work perfect on Internet explorer until Sky changed the format of their e-mail page, then I was unable to scroll up or down the page. So I was advised by Sky to use Firefox -
ICal events disappear only in Day and Week views
Using iCal 3.0.2, I have suddenly acquired a new behavior. Several "subscribed" calendars appear fine in Month view, but their events do not appear in Day or Week view.
I have deleted Caches > com.Apple.iCal and I have deleted Libraries > Calendars > Calendar Cache. Neither has had any effect. I also tried deleting Preferences > com.Apple.iCal.
Any ideas on how to be able to see these events in the Day or Week views?

GusStill no date headings when my calendar is views in the Day and Week views. All of my appointments are there. The days of the month appear in Month view. But when I change to week or day, I don't know what day I'm looking at because there are no dates. Only "2010" appears in the upper left.
Any ideas? I couldn't be the only one this has happened to!

How to automatically attached multiple PDF reports to an e-mail and send
Hello.
I have a requirement to generate multiple PDF reports using Oracle Reports 6i on the web, then automatically attach these PDF reports to an Outlook e-mail and then bring up the Outlook e-mail dialog box so the user can modify the e-mail (such as adding more attachments, adding a CC, BC, change the message text) before sending the e-mail. I want to be able to initiate all these tasks from Oracle webforms 6i in a three-tier environment.
I have already read various notes and solutions but none of them address all my requirements. Examples:
1. Using OLE to interface with Outlook - but OLE does now work on the Web
2. Using Java stored procedure or UTL_SMTP - but this does not bring-up an e-mail dialog box
3. Using mailto: in HTML and web.show_document - but this does not allow you to attach a PDF file
Can you please advise on possible solutions to my requirements. Thank you very much.

You'll want to use utl_http to run each report with a destype=file and then have another procedure running to check to see when all of your reports have finished. After they are finished, you would run the stored procedure to get all of the binaries, attach them in an email and then send it.
If you want to concate all of the PDF files into one large file, you can do this with a Java stored procedure using iText.

Sending mail with attachment fails on MAC Mail and WRP400.
We have hundreds of WRP400 connected with Mac (Machintosh) computers. No special configurations are applied (no virtual server or DMZ). Web navigation, P2P programs and sending mail without attachment work right.
The problem is the impossibility to send mails with medium or big size files attachment from MAC Mail.
If we use Windows PCs or a different linksys routers (eg. WRT54G) the problem not happens.
We have upgraded WRP400 firmware version from 1.00.06 to 2.00.05 but the result is the same. Sending mail with attachment using Mac fails.
We tried to configure WRP400 with DMZ to a particular MAC. We tried to configure Virtual server on tcp 25 port of a MAC. The result is always the same.
This is a WRP400 bug? Windows PCs work right. MAC and MAC mail works right with other linksys router.
We need help. Thanks.The problem was fixed since beta firmware 2.00.11.
I think that this issue was caused from a bug that decrease upload bitrate of WRP400 after some days of activity.

I developed a form in forms 6i for my client/server application. It was working well in c/s environment. I use to generate a PDF file and send the same file via attachment to the person by giving its e-mail address.
But the same form is not working when i have deployed the form on web via forms9iAS.

Have used d2kwutility to execute my report. i have also instaled outlook on my application server.
Now when i try to run my report and send e-mail it gives the following error.

You need to hide them on form load for user. Add one more hidden control in form and keep control value blank initially. Now add rule on button submit to set the control value to some other so you can hide/show the button.
Now add rule on approve and reject buttons that, if field1 is blank then hide this control.

Apple Mail and gmail bug when sending attachment?

And now for my own Mail question. Wondering if others have run into this bug?
Mac OS 10.5 MacBook Pro.
There seems to be a bug when trying to send Mail with an attachment (via a gmail account).
Over and over, Mail just hangs there.
But it works when:
1. Using Mail, the same email can be sent when I Remove the attachment.
2. Skipping Mail, and using gmail itself, the email and attachment are sent within seconds.
2. Email with attachment can also be sent from another email service (such as Earthlink).
Only when I am using Apple Mail, sending via gmail, With an attachment, is there a hitch.

I can log in to my gmail account, download an attachment, and send, with no problem as Ross has experienced. I get an eternal hang when trying to send the same message with an attachment from Mail.
