Attachments from mail program are not making it to blackberry
Just got the new blackberry pearl, cingular is my provider. I tried sending a document (s) in word to my blackberry and emails are rolling in empty. I then fowarded the same email to a pc, then fowarded to blackberry and it worked just fine. Anyone have any similiar experiences? Fixes?
I'm assuming this is CME-integrated. Basically, if you have a PRI connection, the easiest thing to do is to do a 'debug isdn q931' and check out the called number. Or if you have an FXO connection to the PSTN, then you've got some kind of 'connection plar' under the voice port to give you the called number. Basically the called number must match a destination pattern under a voip dial-peer pointing to CUE (you can use 'debug ccsip message' and look for an INVITE message to see where it's going to). Next, it has to match a trigger ('show ccn trigger' in the CUE CLI) to envoke a particular application, such as voicemail. If you have trouble, what we'll need to see is the exact called number (either via the isdn q931 debug or connection plar configuration statement) and the configuration (show run) from the CME and the CUE.

Please sate the exact wording of the error message, I have never seen a message stating 'same name exist...' or equivalent; only messages about files already in the catalog. Files already in the catalog mean that some files have the same 'date taken' and file size in Kb.
Any suggestions. I'm using a mac and tried to rename files based on date taken. The mac can do that but it takes ages to go into each folder and run the renaming script there.
I also use a similar folder creation scheme (such a date naming is the default for the downloader). That way I never get a message about duplicates for the same file names.
However - I can't be the first or only person with this problem so I figure that some workaround must be known out there. Maybe the import action can recognize date taken or - well. Thank you very much in advance if you can help me out here.
You can alsways set the downloader to rename the imported files with a unique new name, there are many options in the 'advanced' dialog of the downloader. I don't know about Macs, but I don't thing there is a difference. -
I am reciving intermittent errors saving attachments from mail: "Names longer than 31 characters are not supported on the destination volume."

Very spooky. Not always reproducible, but it happened to me while using Office365-Outlook web-based email (saving a PDF).
RE: the suggestion, checking security box "allow apps downloaded from all sites" I would really rather not do that.
On my system it is set to allow "Mac App store and identified developers."

New Mail program will not let me drag groups from address book to email
The new Mail program will not allow me to drag groups of addresses from the Address Book like I could before upgrading. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? What is the fix on this problem?

If this is only happening for one user, then check for the presence of a dbv.log

Stripping Attachments from Mail messages.
Does anybody know of a utility for stripping out attachments from Mail messages so as to save storage space?

Firstly, embedded attachments can be dragged out of the email messages on Windows as they can on OS X.
Getting our clients to work like this could be difficult as they all have 1024px screens and from what we've seen they always have their windows maximised (in fact most Windows users seem to do this). But we'll suggest it.
Secondly, when you next plan to make an attachment be sure to use the menu or toolbar option for selecting an attachment. When the Choose File dialog appears you will see a checkbox in the lower left labeled "Use Windows friendly attachments." Be sure that option is checked.
We do this but it still doesn't seem to work - maybe their MailMarshal software is causing this?
Thirdly, be sure any attachment you send has the proper extension. For example, PDF files should have ".pdf", and JPEGs should have ".jpg" or ".jpeg" in order to be consistent with what Windows applications expect.

Fourthly, often certain documents on OS X do not have an extension or the extension is slightly different, for example, Word documents may be ".docx" on the Mac, but need to be ".doc" in order for Word for Windows to open the document by double-clicking.

Fifthly, ZIP files should not normally be confused with junk. Your IT department may need to consider making some changes to their email filtering software.
We don't have an IT department, and based on recent conversations with their IT guys, they're definitely not interested in taking suggestions on email security from Mac users!
Will see how we go with getting our clients to work differently but I'd personally prefer to sort it our end - from their point of view it's a Mac issue and from what I can see I think they might be right. -
Okay so I barely use the calling/phone app (the one that comes on it) on my iPhone but most of the calls I get are from random people who I do not know who have the wrong number asking for the same people! I block them all I can but they're not always the same number there's different numbers all the time it's extremely annoying and driving me crazy, the one person left a voice mail again asking for the same person so I called them back and they denied they ever called I kept telling them I got a voicemail from that number and they kept saying no one called from that number. I literally cannot take this anymore. I remember seeing somewhere when I was setting up my phone where I can set it so people cannot call you if they're not in your contacts list. Is there a way to do that? If there is could you please let me know and how to do so? I seriously really need this please. I have an iPhone 4s that's on ios 7.1.2 if that helps any. Thanks so much.

When I load Illustrator creative suit (5.5) on my new computer, it loads Then I put in the serial number, which is correct, but when i go to click on the program to use it it says ERROR: localized resource file from this program could not be loaded. please re install of repair the application and try again. I have done this and it's still not working

You only need to use the serial number during installation.
Have you, at least seemingly, been able to install, and then you are unable to start up?
If that is the case, you could try to reinstall using the full three step way:
Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.

Ipad1 programs are not openning
after sync and tranfered pictures from computer to my ipad, all the purchesed programs are not openning any more, and it shows as opened in the background, but actually it just blinking !!!
If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps including Apple's then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Thanks for writing. The photo will be oriented exactly as it is uploaded, as we have no rotate feature. Before uploading, please open the file and make sure that it is uploaded in the orientation that you would like. If you're still having trouble (i.e. your image looks correct before you upload it, but is rotated incorrectly on Behance), your original file is likely not showing its true orientation. Please try saving the file again, or making a duplicate and saving that before uploading.
