Attachments not visible in Yahoo mail under Firefox 18.

Running under Firefox 18, attachments to received e-mails on Yahoo mail are not visible, as they used to be (and are under Internet Explorer). On downloading the e-mails (to Thunderbird) the attachments are there as expected.

add an exception for yahoo mail: click on the ghostery icon while you're in yahoo's webmail, choose "edit blocking options" & then don't block on this domain...

New laptop with Windows 7 pro; loaded FF....worked fine for a couple weeks....then, contents in email no longer visible-----just blank box where text would normally appear. When you send mail the field you mention is used to populate the "ReplyTo: fild in the mail header. Otherwise it has no purpose and setting it to nothing will also work.
Yahoo are obviously checking that field as you send mail. that is points to a valid address, and I have a sneaking suspicion that is might be required to point to your yahoo mail account.
Historically the"Nigerian" type scam emails used a replyto address completely different from the one used to send the mail. So even if the sending account was closed down they still got the replies. The mail quite commonly originated in Yahoo and replied to Hotmail accounts. So I guess they have a check to try and discourage that legitimate, but undesirable from their perspective, use.

When using yahoo mail on firefox, when replying to emails the first letter has started to not record/appear. not an issue with my clicking, rather firefox recording the letter/digit. this does not appear to be an issue on Safari or Chrome.

I believe that our “Werbung problem” adds an additional second hyperlink to the pop-up window. This second link is activated whenever you trigger a saved hyperlink to a Mail.com site.
I had the same problem and eliminated it by deleting all bookmarks, hyperlinks and automatic links that take firefox to a mail.com address. So I just deleted all bookmarks I had saved for mail.com. I also changed my home page link because it also went to my email at mail.com. I then did a warm boot, opened firefox and re-saved my bookmarks and homepage to the desired addresses. Good luck.

You don't have to disable any addons or extentions!!!You guys are not going to believe this I figured out the problem it's really dumb...ok here goes the attachment uploader loads seperate so I got to thinking it's a popup so I went to options content and under block pop ups there is an option exceptions click on that and in the box type firefox.com and hit allow pow its fixed!!!!! :-)

Why don't I see the 'Emoticons' and 'Format' tabs when composing a message in the new Yahoo Mail, using Firefox, but I do when using Internet Explorer?

I have been using the new Yahoo Mail on Firefox. But today I noticed that when I write an email (Compose/Reply/Forward), I cannot format it. Only the 'Attachments' tab is present, but the 'Emoticons' and 'Format' tabs are not.
But when I do it using Internet Explorer, all those tabs are present and I can format and do whatever.
Is there something wrong with my Firefox? I have restarted my computer, I have shut it down, but my Yahoo Mail remains problematic when using Firefox.

In line images not displaying in yahoo mail

Greetings, I have searched through your faqs and have been in touch with Yahoo Mail support but they say the problem is browser related. With some of my emails the inline images that are also links do not appear - an image placeholder appears briefly but then vanishes. The same messages display fine in Gmail with Firefox, in Yahoo Mail with Chrome and also with the Yahoo Android App on my HTC so the problem is only with Yahoo mail and Firefox.

Please make sure that the page that you are trying to attach the attachment to is not on the block pop up list. This was a work around for a recent gmail issue that blocked the popup that manages what file to attach.
There are two ways to get there:
# Go to the about:permissions page and search for the yahoo url. Click on the pop up permissions and click allow.
# Go to the "3 bar" menu and click > Options/Preferences > Content > Exceptions...
If this is not the case please post back with more info.

When I try to open Yahoo Mail in Firefox, it times out.
This happens every single day.
Every once in awhile I get lucky and get in, but again, I have to deal with this issue every single day.

Yes, I've switched to No Proxy
Yes, I go through straight links and not bookmarks
Nothing helps.
Basically, if I want to get into Yahoo Mail, I have to open Google Chrome. Which has me thinking, if I have to open Google Chrome so often, why don't I just switch?
I'm a long time user of Firefox and would prefer to stick with it, but this is the kind of thing that will push me over to using Google Chrome.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

POSSIBLE SOLUTION:
I contacted Yahoo and they had me clear (1) cookies and (2) cache. This did work so that I can now open the emails in Firefox.
COMMENTS:
Yahoo support said "Please rest assured that Yahoo! Mail is properly working as of this time. It would be best if you contact Mozilla Firefox help support. They have the right tools and knowledge with the settings to access Internet Sites like Yahoo! Mail on Mozilla Firefox browser."

Can not log onto Yahoo Mail on BootCamp Win7. No problem on OSX

I can use latest version of FF to view my Yahoo Mail account on my MacPro with latest version of Snow Leopard but when I switch to my BootCamp Win7 I can not log onto Yahoo Mail. I don't get any error. It just comes back to the Yahoo Mail log on page. Win7 is current and FF is ver 3.6.13

When pasting from Excell the table border is not showing in Yahoo mail

Even I got annoyed due to this stupid thing ,
Let me share you how i worked around this ,
(1)Once you copied the table from Excel or Open office Calc, to thunderbird mail , It will appear the table with dotted line.
(2)Now you have to double click in any single cell it will prompt the ‘Table properties’ box .
(3)Now click on ‘Table ’ tab and under ‘Borders and Spacing’ Section set ‘Border’ ‘1’ instead of ‘0 ‘
That’s it ... it will show you the border lines of table copied from source file 

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

Default Maill app not working with Yahoo Mail.
It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. Is it possible you mistakenly clicked on a [Clear Layout] button?
But a great hint is- Always click on the [Create a Saved Book] button, early in your new book design.
Then you have a permanent link to the book in the Collections panel. (In addition to the standard collection of your selected images)
Note: a Book Collection shows an icon that looks like a book.
Every time you come back to edit the book, open the Book Module by clicking on the white arrow that appears on the end of your Book Collection title. (The title as saved)
Re-opening a book without using the "Saved Book" option can have unpredictable results.
A "Book" Collection is like a "Smart Collection" because anything you do to the book design, change pages, change images, etc, is automatically updated in the Saved Book collection.
