Attachments protection in CIC

Hi guys,
I need your help with attachments in CIC 5.0 WinClient:
Is there not a way to u2018fixu2019 somehow attachments into CIC activities so that they cannot be deleted once they have been attached. Does the u2018protectionu2019 field in the attachment properties not somehow allow deletion protection?
If there is no way to protect attachments from deletion is there some way of recording the attachment/deletion of a document in the change history or log?
Many thanks for help!
Kind regards,
Fabricio.

Hi
If you are Ok with the Splitting of the text, then as other responder mentioned, remove the page protection and it will split the text.
Actually, u know what because Of PAGE Protection, it means that you are asking the text to display in one PAGE itself, as the text is more..it is going to page 2 which has more space left than page one and so that whole data comes in one page.
So, as you are ok with splitting of the text, removing PAGE protection is the solution so that the space in the first page after header is not left empty.

  • Password protected .pdf's always corrupted?

My employer emails my payslips as .pdf attachments protected by a PIN. On (my old phone, a Samsung Europa/GT-I5500 running 2.2 and ) my iPhone running iOS5 these files won't open. When downloaded an error message displays saying the file is corrupt or damaged. The same file viewed on a PC or through iPhone mail will open with the PIN and is readable. Is there anyway to get the adobe reader app to open these files? For obvious reasons I'd rather not share the files.

I don't believe that password-protected PDFs are yet supported in Reader mobile.

  • How do I protect/unprotect Excel Worksheets with Activex

    Hi,
I am reading and writing some data to Excel.  I have the Report Generation Took Kit.  I am trying to unprotect a sheet, do my stuff, then protect it.  I modified the Excel Get Worksheet vi. to include the protect invoke node, but the worksheet is never goes into protection.  I have attached the protect vi that I am trying to use.
Any way to do this works for me, and it doesn't have to be as attached. Thanks

Well don't I feel silly. For this to work the Get Worksheet Function had to be used first to actually get the sheet. See attached.  This now works fine.  Download both files to see.

  • Word attachments in Outlook 2013, Protected Mode broken

I have a client using Office 2013 Pro on Windows Server 2008 R2 (Citrix XenApp).  When they try to open Word attachments, the file tries to open
in Word's Protected View but crashes with the error:
"There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font"
Troubleshooting included turning off antivirus and antispam products, sending different types of files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx) via email or copying over
VPN, only the emailed files had a problem, turning off Protected View.
Turning off Protected View allows the files to open without error, but turning it off (as recommended by other sites I've researched) seems like more of
a workaround rather than a solution.
I believe the issue started after a batch of Office 2013 updates that were applied on the 14th.  There are too many to reasonably test removing them
one by one and since this is a production server, the reboots would floor the client for a day, at least.
I appreciate any guidance you can provide.  Thanks!
     -KK

    Thank you for the response.
Did you save the Word attachments to locale disk to open by using Protected View mode, does this issue exist? If the file was received as an Outlook attachment and your computer policy has defined the sender as unsafe, the Word attachments will
    be open in
    Protected View mode.
Saving the attachment first before opening it allows the file to be opened without crashing Word.  This doesn't resolve the issue, however, as my client doesn't want to have to save every attachment.
As the error message, there are a couple of things that can cause this.
    A corrupted normal.dot template
    A corrupted printer driver
Some sort of third part add in
Thus, let's start to try and that is replacing the normal.dot template. We could search
normal.dot in PC. After you finding normal.dot, rename it old.dot and restart your computer. Re-open Word and it will create a new normal.dot template, which is what Word uses as a default blank document.
Would a corrupted normal.dot effect only opening attachments from within Outlook?  Isn't normal.dot global (all users)?  This is a Citrix XenApp server and only this user is experiencing the problem.
Following this, have the client open the Word attachments on Webmail(OWA) instead of opening it from Outlook Client, does this issue exist?
If there's no such issue when opening the attachment from Webmail, this issue may be related to Outlook Client.
Like saving the document from Outlook, opening from OWA works fine as well.  This is expected since they are essentially the same process (save, open).
Please check the Protected View setting in Word 2013:
    Click File > Options.
    Click Trust Center >
Trust Center Settings > Protected View.
Uncheck Enable Protected View for Outlook attachment
I've done this already as a work-around, but I'd suspect that Protected View is there for a reason so simply disabling it to resolve this issue isn't a proper 'solution'.  I didn't mention in the original post, but I've also tried Outlook in Safe Mode
with the same results.  Thanks for any additional help you can provide!

  • Attachments appearing as password-protected when they're not

Several times recently, I've had clients (on windows) tell me that attachments I've sent them in Mail -- whether they're zipped archives or single files -- indicate that a password is required before the file can be accessed. I've set no password protections, though, and this never happened before the past week. Anybody else having the same problem? Is this an issue with a recent upgrade?

Here's your problem. Select the objects and click on the Expand button in the Pathfinder panel
After this just click on the straight lines to delete.

  • Password protected attachments not stripped

    Greetings,
I have setup a rule in our IronPort C360 that is supposed to block "protected attachments" - encrypted and password protected files. I have a content filter setup with the condition under Attachment Protection of "One or more attachments are protected." The action applied to this filter is "Strip Attachment by Content" where the attachment contains .*
This is working on encrypted attachments, but password protected attachments are not being stripped.
Is there some way to make both work?
    Thanks,
    -so

    Thanks for the reply, Staylor.
It turned out the action needed to be changed. Because the files were password protected on read the scanner could not see the contents.
Changing the action to 'Strip Attachment by File Info' and setting the condition to 'File size is greater than: 1 byte' caused the protected file to be stripped.

  • Password protection for attachments via iBots

We need to distribute reports via iBots to our clients (external users) and as per our company policy we need to password protect any attachments with sensitive data to outside users. How can we password protect Excel, CSV, PDF attachments via iBots?
    Thanks.

Thanks. Here are my 2 cents on this:
There is no inbuilt functionality to password protect the file's that are being exported from OBIEE. A workaround I can think of is to create a generic User ID, and provide the external users with a go URL to the report, where they can download the data themselves, but will need to authenticate before that can be done.
    Thanks,

  • Reading password protected pdf email attachments

When I open a password protected pdf file that was attached to an email received on my iPhone, it appears to open (accurate page count displayed top left corner) but the page is blank and I never see a prompt that asks for the password.

I'm having the same problem, I've tried to open password protected pdf files on my iPhone, but the password screen doesn't appear. I've tried 2 different pdf reader apps from the app store. I was going to buy an iPad for reading my ebooks from college but I won't until I can get this figured out. The school says Adobe and Apple don't play well together and that is the problem. Hope someone has a work around for this.

  • Sender Mail Adapter Configuration - Process Multiple Attachments

    Dear sirs,
I need to process several attachments at the same mail message as individual payloads.
In default configuration of sender mail adapter only the body of message is used as payload.
So I added PayloadSwapBean Module at Processing Sequence and it processed the attachment I set in Module Configuration.  I'm not able to process all attachments available, just one attachment is sent to PI pipeline.

That depends on how you set up your imap account preferences. In account preferences->advanced there is a scroll button "keep copies of messages for offline viewing". If you set it to "All messages and their attachments" then there will be no significant delay when you press the Save button.
Also in general preferences you can set the option "Remove unedited downloads" to "when Mail quits". This will clear the folder
homedirectory/library/mail downloads of all unedited downloads every time you quit Mail. This has no effect on the copies you downloaded using Save button.
I have mail set to keep all msgs and their attachments for offline viewing.
