Attachments to Reviewer's Guide PDF

I'm working off of the Reviewer's Guide for RoboHelp 7
http://www.adobe.com/products/robohelp/pdfs/robohelp_7_reviewers_guide.pdf)
and had no problem downloading the attachments, BUT while
walking through the instructions, I realized that CustomerCare.xpj,
which is needed to do the Try-it exercises, is not on the list of
attachments. The only
attached file with that name is a .css file, but it's spelled
in all lowercase letters, and a CSS file just isn't a RoboHelp
project file...
The files attached to the PDF I downloaded include:
customercare.css, ExperienceBank.book, ExperienceBankTOC.fm,
International_Office_Information.htm, Liabilities.fm,
ServiceAgreement.
fm, SWF-For-Framemaker-Import.swf
I can't open a technical support web case because I'm not a
registered user...and a customer support web case suggested that I
try here in the forums...Just trying to get my hands on the correct
file so that I can evaluate this product and get up to speed while
all of the purchasing paperwork goes through...

It wasn't installed on my starter page...in lieu of a screen
shot, here's what my starter page looks like:

I didn't think about searching my drive for the file until
today...it looks like it HAS been installed under ...\Adobe

Someone might want to change the information in the
Reviewer's Guide that states it's included as an attachment in the
PDF, though, and it would be REALLY nice to have a link inside the
application somewhere to the sample files and/or the Try-it
exercises. Of course, it could also be rookie RoboHelp eyes not
knowing exactly where to look...I'm used to Adobe products having
clear links and access to their tutorials!

  • Adobe RoboHelp 8 Reviewer's Guide

For some reason the topic conercing the release of RH8 has
been locked, so here my problem:
I cannot download the Adobe RoboHelp 8 Reviewer's Guide from
either of the given links. It says I must install Flash Player 10
but of course I am not an administrator here on the internet gate
and cannot install anything. Is there a direct link to the PDF?
This is exactly what makes me wonder about the new AIR output
    - developers can install anything but the rights (and time) of
typical end users are limited. They will not go through asking
their IT to install an app just to read a short file.

the Direct link to PDF is

  • When I receive mail my OSX opens up the attachments, they can be either PDF or Jpeg how do I tern this feature off and just have them show as icons

When I receive mail my OSX opens up the attachments, they can be either PDF or JPEG how do I turn this feature off and just have them show as icons
    Thanks

There is a plugin available for Mail called Attachment Tamer, which allows much greater control over the way Mail handles attachments, among other things. Icon view is one of them.

I believe you can run it in demo mode before purchasing to see if it does what you want.

  • Reviewer's Guide: Review.mdl file for demo

    Hi,
I downloaded OWB904 from technet, and am going through the reviewer's guide. To do the demos, it calls out importing metadata from Review.mdl on the install drive.
I have searched all through my computer, and all through the OWB site, and can't seem to find the files for the demos.
Where can one obtain these files? We are very excited about trying out this new release of OWB.
    Thanks,
    Scott Rappoport

I'm also going through the Reviewer's Guide, and I'm trying to load the metadata repository with the Review.mdl file located in the Reviewer's Guide zip. When I try to import Review.mdl using the OWB Client I get the following error:
"Error: MDL1194: Import data file for Metadata Loader release 9.2 not supported by Metadata Loader release 3.1. Use OWB MDL Upgrade Utility to convert older MDL data files to the latest supported format."
I tried using the OWB MDL File Upgrade Utility to convert Review.mdl as suggested by the error message and received another error message as follows:
"CNV0002-0023(ERROR): MDLRELEASE value is not compatible with the driver file version."
At this point I'm stuck. Please advise as soon as possible on how to proceed with loading the metadata repository.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Attachments don't open in PDF review

    Hello,
I cannot open any of the attachments in my  PDF shared review (I use Acrobat X). All our reviews are stored on a sharepoint site, btw.
I see all the attachment icons (paperclips/push pins) but when I double click on them (or right click, 'open file'), nothing happens.
I checked the 'attachments' folder that is automatically created when you start a shared review, and it shows all the attached files (in .bin format) just like all my other reviews, however for some obscure reason I can't open them in the review. Could someone shed some light on this?
    Thanks for your help

  • What is the recommended tool to convert all of my email and their attachments in one stroke to pdf files in the same folder structure that emails are stored in

I have thousands of emails creatively stored in a host of sub folders. I would like to see if anyone knows of a tool that I can point at TB and convert all of my files into a similar file structure with the attachments embedded into the emails. I don't want much I realize. I bet there is a tool out there that will get me close.

I don't know of a way to produce pdfs in a simple way (probably with a pdf printer driver), but if you export or save messages as eml files, the attachments are embedded in the emls, and emls can be read by most email programs. Besides saving through Ctrl-S, exporting complex folders to eml format is probably best done with [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/ ImportExportTools].

  • Windows 8 MAIL client renames G-Mail PDF attachments filename and extension to PDF????

    Hi PPL,
I have the Windows 8 MAIL client configured to get G-Mail based on an imap configuration.
When opening gmail.com in Internet Explorer and looking at a specific email I do see 2 attachments for example with name: "Mail Attachement1.PDF" &  "Mail Attachement2.PDF" In the browser I can open the attachment as pdf files.
When opening the mail in the Windows 8 MAIL client the attachment are renamed to:
    ATT000442.ext & ATT000445.ext
I can't find what is causing this, please help!!
    Regards,
    Arjan

    same issue....
Do a Network capture of the HTTP message flow.  E.g. use Fiddler4 in order to get its Enable Local Loopback utility
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/fiddler/archive/2011/12/10/fiddler-windows-8-apps-enable-loopback-network-isolation-exemption.aspx
Most likely you will find that a Content-type header is what is causing your symptom.  Then you could ask the administrator of the server to change that to make sure that it looks like .pdf and not what you are getting.  Note that Fiddler would
allow you to create your own override to test whatever change you would like to be implemented.

  • Read In Email, parsing Attachments and converting them to PDF

    Dear Forum,
When an email arrives, I want to check wether there are attachments present in this email. When there are .GIF, .PNG or .TIFF files attached, I want to convert them to a PDF.
Does anybody knows how to do one of these steps in Java?
    1) parsing attachments out of email
    2)converting them to PDF
    Thank you,
    Stefan Tysbaert

In your JavaMail download there is a directory containing examples of JavaMail code. One of those examples covers your first question.
And the second question ("How do I convert a GIF file to PDF?") isn't a question about JavaMail.

  • Removing a duplicate attachments prior to converting to PDF?

I am creating PDF portfolios using email that requires archiving, these emails reside in Lotus Notes. Attachments are in the body of each email and once the file is converted, it will also appear just below the subject matter which then adds a duplicate to the portfolio. Is there a way to removing duplicate attachments prior to converting each file to a PDF?
Does anyone know about a Plug-in that will help me with the above task or is there something in Adobe that will work?
    Message was edited by: TNT0614

I don't think that your old, duplicate feed is really going to cause much confusion. Whatever support told you to do, I think it is working . . . if you click on the "QuoteActions Podcast," it says that the podcast "is not available in the US Store." That means that no one can subscribe to it, and that the iTunes staff are probably in the process of completely removing the listing.
So, I really wouldn't worry too much that the second one is showing up in searches at this point. No one can access it, and so no one can accidentally subscribe to it. By the way, the address for your new podcast listing is actually http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=267448487. The one that you had in your post is just the address of your old podcast.

  • Arrow heads not converting from Reviewer to 3D pdf

Arrow heads on dimensions created in 3D Reviewer do not export to 3D pdf.
Is this a bug, or have I missed a setting somewhere?
If there's a way of making it work, please let me know!
    thanks,
    Ian

    Hi William,
It's a real shame that this issue isn't going to be resolved soon.
For some of our work, we're planning to Reviewer to create the PMI and issue to be read as pdf.
The lack of arrow heads is not a job-stopper for us, but it's the first thing people notice!
'Spoiling the ship for a halfpenny of tar' is a phrase that springs to mind (although I guess the software cost to include the arrow heads in the conversion will cost more than a halfpenny!).
    cheers,

  • WAP54G User Guide PDF does not load/run

I just bought this router and either PDF (Install and User Guide will no load

The WAP54G is a "wireless access point", not a router.
To read a PDF file, you must have "Adobe Reader" installed on your computer.  It is available at adobe.com
If you have the reader, and you still have a problem opening the PDF file that came with the WAP54G, then download the User Guide from the Linksys.com website.  Look on the Support page.

  • Error Message Guide (pdf)

Where can I find a pdf version of thel Oracle error messages guide to download ?

Got it, thanks. There are so many possible links
to follow, I often find it hard to find what I am
looking for. Google returns too many results, so
you have to fine tune your search, which often still
    gives me headaches.
I am now busy downloading the pdf, thank you very
much. The first source for Oracle related information is Oracle document website.
    docs.oracle.com
unfortunately, it's ture that the search function on Oracle website is terrible. But given time you will know where to find what you are looking for. Get yourself familiar with which books has what content.
