Attachments/Uploads

Whenever I try to attach a file or photo to an email, and when I try to upload a file on a website (i.e. resume), after clicking "choose", my my files/photos/applications window will attempt to open, but not completely do so, instead showing the "working" color wheel endlessly spinning. This happens using the updated versions of Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. The only thing I can do is turn off the computer, and start again. I have even restarted using safe mode, but it makes no difference.

-> Clear Cookies & Cache

-> Clear the Network Cache
-> Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
• Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
• Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
• Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)
Check and tell if its working. Hope that helps.

New! Attachments - Upload files as part of a form submission

You can now add multiple file attachment fields to your forms to collect files from respondents. Almost all file formats are supported for upload including audio and video (executable and other such file types are not allowed). All files are virus scanned by the service.
You can add field restrictions that force respondents to upload files less than a certain size, upload multiple files and/or only upload certain file formats.
All of the data and files collected are acccessible from the View reponse tab.
Files from multiple respondents can be downloaded together within a single zip file by the author. When downloading, the author has the option of prefixing a field value to the filenames so they know which respondent submitted a file.
Attachments is available to both free and paid users, however, the maximum file size of all files submitted by one respondent is 100KB for free users and 20MB for paid users. There is no limit on the amount of overall file storage for a free or paid users.
Benefits
You no longer have to manage collecting data and files using different solutions – like filling out the form using FormsCentral and sending the files via email. Files and data can now be collected using a single method and everything is stored in one central place so managing the collection process is much easier.
Ensure that respondents provide the right number, size and type of files.
Example Use Cases
Employment Application – Job applicant needs to submit their resume with their application as a single PDF or Word file.
College Admission – High school student (or parents) need to submit an essay, high school transcript and reference letters with their admission form.
Grant Application – Applicant needs to submit a proposal document and pictures (JPG or PNG) of their previous work in order to be eligible for the grant.
Client Onboarding – Financial advisor needs to collect account information and investment documents from new clients.
Request for Proposal – Procurement department needs to collect bids from competing vendors. Vendors need to fill out a form with their company’s information, provide certification documentation and a detailed proposal document.

Right click in the cell corresponding to the attachment field in the View Responses response table and choose "Insert File" (also in the "Insert" menu). The column must correspond to an attachment type field or you will not see the "Insert File" option.

Hello,
This trick will work if you want to do for all users. Somehow you have to store the current user name, who has attached the files then hide show section based on user using conditional formatting.
Your job can be easy if only one person is uploading file in one form. In that case you can use UserName() function to get current user name and based on this name you can add rule on section.
But if multiple people are allow to upload file in same form then you are in trouble.

The requirement is to upload an attachment along with the Leave Request while the leave type is 'SICK Leave'. (IT 2002 Subtype SICK )
Once the employee submits the Leave Request in ESS, where should the attachment be stored and how is it retrieved ?

you need to modify the workflow for this. you can use this option of attachment as workflows do support attachment option. this can be achieved.

Getting a Page Cannot be Displayed error while uploading a Contract Document in SAP E-sourcing for size 500mb

I am getting a Page can not be displayed error while uploading a COntract Document in SAP-E-soucing 7.0.
Maximum Size set in Our SYSTEM is :9765MB.
Approx size of the Document tried is more then 300MB.

Please check the below system properties using system user login
attachments.maxSizeKB.buyers - "Maximum size in KB of a employer-attached attachment file"
attachments.upload.enable.buyers- " Enable/Disable uploading of attachments by internal users"
Also Please check with other attachment, contracts related properties in the System.

Cannot download or view the attachments from PCUI BSP appliations in portal

Hello,
We are not able to view or download the attachments uploaded into any of the PCUI BSP applications called in portal. Initially we were not able to upload to but activating the services for the PCUI applications made it work, I am not sure if the download is supposed to work with the same service activation. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

After uploading the document through PCUI, can you download/ view the document in Backend (in CRM System) through the transaction.... I mean through SAP GUI... If yes than the application is working fine at PCUI level.... Please test at the backend.
After upload at PCUI, if you can downlaoad at SAP GUI (in backend), than I think you need to do some IMG config. So please check the respective attachment's field group entries.
Let me know if you can see the document at backend and than most probably its a config issue, where in you need to make the field changeable. Also pls tell the application name/ tab name (where the Attachment tab is) and I will try to figure out.

How can we get the uploaded attachment form portal to SAP UWl .
We have requirement like user wants to upload the travel expenses related documents (.PDF,.Txt or .doc files) in portal that attachments needs to available in approver inbox as link at user decision level.
We have done the binding part and we are getting the attachment from first level to next level but unable to get the attachments uploaded in portal.
I found one link but itu2019s not working.

Need your help!
While creating travel expense request from Enterprise Portal, travelers create few attachments [pdf/doc/xms/txt] and then save the travel expense reports.
A workflow then gets triggered and this travel expense report reached the SAP Inboxes of the checkers [in the finance department].
The issue here is that these checkers do not have access to enterprise portal and they expect to see the attachments [that the traveler has created via the portal] via corresponding work items in their SAP Inboxes u2013 which currently is not happening!
I checked the trip transaction that got created [in the backend / in SAP] and found the u2018attachment listu2019 menu option in GOS being disabled [may be because there is not even one attachment that has come to the backend!]
What needs to be done so that the attachments can even be viewed from the backend / from SAP Inbox? Does this involve coding?
Please suggest!

BSP FIle upload

Hi,
I searched but could not find an answer...I am working on a program that itseems worked till the last few days...not sure why it stopped working suddenly. I was able to fix it now, but am wondering how to retrieve the old attachments uploaded using this app.
This BSP app is used to store documents.
Step-1:Simple BSP form upload. In the event handler, the cData is read using cl_http_entity->get_cdata. This is stored in a table as a string along with filename, file type etc.
Step-2: To download the document from Step-1, the string from Step-1 is converted to xstring using SCMS-STRING-TO-XSTRING and then the response is set using:
runtime->server->response->set_data( data = lxstringdata length = xstrtlen ).
This no longer works - it gives garbage data...
I converted it to read binary data while uploading (cl_http_entity->get_cdata) and it works fine now - but any idea on how I can read the files that have been created so far? I was told that it was working atleast a few days back..

Lost attachments in Subprocess

Hello every body!
How is possible to store attachments(uploaded by FileChosser) in the subprocess? I load my attach in a normal sequence but then when I invoke a sub-process, I lost my data and my attachments.

Document Attachments flow from BOM to WIP

Hi All,
We want the attachments flow from BOM to WIP or Org Items to WIP,
1. Component Items Created and assigned to Org - Attachments uploaded here.
2. A BOM created - Upload attachments here or the attachments should flow from Items to BOM.
3. When a WIP job created for the assembly has the attachment, that should flow into WIP job.
How this can be achieved? Also there are document categories called TO WIP and WIP Job/Schedule Attachments are tried but not working, what is this for?

Hi Magesh,
WIP allows you to create a catalog of standard operation documents. You can then attach these documents to your work in process routing operations in the Operations window.
Please refer to the -- Oracle Work in Process User's Guide
and search for -- Defining Operation Documents
Currently BOM Attachments cannot be made available on the WIP Job.
But however, an attachment can be added in the Routing definition and then viewed in the Discrete Job at creation time.
The routing operation copies the attachment and enables viewing from the WIP Discrete Jobs form.
You may refer to the document:

Further for the document categories called - TO WIP, TO Supplier, etc
These are Item attachment categories that simply provide a way to classify attachments—this classification identifies the purpose of the attachment to the business object,
and can also be used as one of the search criteria within an attachment list.
There is no functional significance otherwise.

How to associate an uploaded file with form data

I have a "ticketing" app which stores a ticket no. as well as allows users to upload multiple files per ticket. The problem I am having is how to associate an uploaded file with a particular ticket no. As you can guess this becomes complicated when the same user can potentially update multiple tickets using the same file names. I am having difficulty trying to understand how to associate a ticket no with one or more uploaded files. I do have a custom table which I update with the attachments but I am unsure how to, or when to, update the ticket information on this custom table. I only want to retrieve attachments for a given ticket, not all attachments uploaded by a user.Does anyone have any ideas?

I add configure.vi as dynamic file and when I press configuration buttom and
then press ok buttom show this error:
Error 1044 occurred at Invoke Node in make defult.vi->mainpage.vi
Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: VI is locked.

I don't think you will need to upload your VI for this issue, but have a look at the bottom, the "attachment" section lets you select the files you want to upload.
