Attachments using iWork 08
Can I attach any iWork 08 files to Mail and be able to be opened by a PC user ?
Many sites require for example resumes to be attached as .doc, can this be done with Pages ?
Can Office 2008 documents with iWork ?
Better to continue using Office 2008 or switch to iWork 08 ?
Attachments has been always an issue, I recall, with application Appleworks and before.

The responce to this one is YES.
From Pages use the "File > Export" command and select the .doc format.
Better to continue using Office 2008 or switch to iWork 08 ?
If you own Office keep it.
if you don't try with Pages + one of the free clones of Office:
openOffice or neoOffice.
Attachments has been always an issue, I recall, with application Appleworks and before.
Even if we want to send an iWork's document as attachment, it is useful to pack it in a .zip file.
I always work this way with AppleWorks.

Please help. My DS created a document under his login on my PowerBook and now, I cannot seem to access it. He doesn't have an email account of his own, I can't seem to save it as a public document in a drop box like I can from my own login and we do not want to use iwork. Is there a way to save it so that I can access it from my login to email to his teacher. I don't want to have to retype it into Pages under my login.
Save the document from his account to an external drive or thumb drive.
Set the permissions (using Finder > Get Info) for "Everyone" to Read and Write.
Your DS will likely be the owner of the file, so you may need his login password to change the permissions.

Is there a way to automatically insert the filename of a spreadsheet into the footer when using iworks numbers 3.2? iworks 09 had this feature and I can't find this feature in the new version of numbers.

In Numbers 3.x, The Print View and Layout View have gone (for now at least). Page Headers and Footers can only be reached under Menu > File > Print... to open Print Preview. Hover the cursor to reveal the Page Header and Footer fields.
The only inserts that I can get to work in Print Preview are Page Number, Page Count and Date & Time. Filename is no longer in the Insert menu.

Using iWork on multiple machines
I have a iMac 20" which I recently purchased iWork for, its fantastic and have been using for a few months.
I purchased a macbook last week, and I want to use iWork on both machines without having to buy the software again.... Is this possible? Can I use the same serial product keys on both machines?
If anyone has any infomation that will help, much apprecaited.If you bought a single license copy of iWork you are permitted to install and use it on one computer only. OTOH, unlike some companies, Apple does not use activation nor does it search the network to see if more than one copy of the same serialized program is functioning. I'd recommend that you adopt Google's motto and do no evil, but that's just me.

How can I send multiple attachments using SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND?

My requirement is to allow users to select one or more documents from an ALV grid. I am then required to send these documents to multiple users via email using function module SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND.
I can successfully send one document as an attachment. However, I can't seem to figure out how to send multiple documents as attachments using SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND. Is this done in the packing list?
Is there some way to tell the program where the 1st attachment ends and the 2nd attachment starts?
My attachment content is in i_att_cont.

The trick is to ensure you put the correct values in the body_start, body_num and objlen fields of the packing list.
Each additional attachment should start (body_start) at the end of the last attachment + 1.
The value for body_num is equal to the number of lines in the attachment being added.
And the objlen field is calculated by multiplying the number of lines in the attachent * 255.

If I try and send file as attachments from the tmp directory, then everything works ok, but if I try to send the same file from any other directory, then it doesn't work. Can anyone help? Is there something wrong with the code, I'm not aware of anything that would make it directory specfic. Permissions are the same on /tmp as the new directory /NRS/Data/SystemX which I'm trying to send the file from now.well
if u see the end of ur mail it shows the attachment dir there in which u have specified the address..why don't u do a change there or better have some in parameteres in the procedure for it..that would help in choosing the attachment directory on users wish?

I think address Book will print primitive ones directly if you have addresses entered. Print to the equivalent Avery label size and it does it all.

Can't Send Attachments Using Exchange Account
For some reason I can't send attachments using my Exchange account on my iPhone. Pictures, Word docs, Excel Docs, doesn't matter. They just get stuck in my out box and I get the following message, "Cannot Send Mail - An error occurred while delivering this message." I can receive attachments just fine, but cannot send or forward them. If I use any of the other email accounts on my phone, it works fine. The Exchange account is the only issue. Is this some limitation with Exchange on an iPhone or something? Anyone ever have the same problem as was able to fix it? Thanks!
I've got 38 iPhones deployed running the 3.1.2 OS against an Exchange 2007 server. Several of my users complain about the same issue, and I've seen it myself. I have found a workaround of sorts - I've found that if I've sent a message with an attachment and I get a failure to send, if I manually browse down to the Sent Items folder, that forces a replication of the Sent Items. The next time I do a manual sync, the e-mail with the attachment will go.
I presume this has something to do with Exchange trying to put a copy of the e-mail in to your Sent Items at the same time the iPhone is trying to send the message.
Potentially, this might be solved by turning off the option to always store your sent e-mails in the Sent Items. I have not yet tested that as a workaround as from a corporate standpoint and an ease-of-use standpoint, we want that e-mail in the Sent Items for reference.
If anyone has any success with this fix, please let me know. -
Can I view, edit and save microsoft documents such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint using iWork applications such as Pages, Keynote and Numbers on my iPad Mini (16GB Wi-Fi)? If Yes, then can I directly load these files to my iPad mini using iTunes? Also, once I finish working on these documents, can I download these back to my Computer.
