Attempt to Re-install OS turned to be the failure to start from Hard disc.

I tried to erase HD and re-install OS on my iMac 20inch 2007mid model. Once it finished the install with the first DVD, and automatically restarted, the error message to make me restart the computer. Since then, Even if I take the same step, the same symptom occurs and can't go further.
Could anybody let me know what might be the problem?
I can start again the installation wizard from the DVD, but whenever try to start up from the HD, it freeze and the alert will appear to urge me to re-start...

Without the install DVD for OS X, you are hosed.
Call AppleCare and ask them for a replacement set. They will charge you a nominal fee for shipping and handling.

Assuming your disk is for ARD 3.x, try this:
• Insert your ARD CD
• Open in Finder
• Right click on the Remote Desktop.mpkg and show contents
• Navigate to contents/installers
• Drag the RemoteDesktopAdmin.pkg file onto the workstation and install
• Run Software Update
• Upgrade to the latest version of the admin application before attempting to launch the app

There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
Delete ALL your email accounts.
Restart Playbook
Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON. Manual (push off) will burn battery.
Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required.
Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi.
Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

Will installing a CS5 trial fix the version cue errors from CS4?

Hi, I was wondering if installing a trial version of CS5 would fix the version cue errors from CS4.
If not, does anyone know a good download of the version cue files? They have all dissappeared from my computer after running the cleanup script and the problem still persists =(

Afterr months of pain and one ephiphany later, i have a simple solution to the issue.
Go into the common files, adobe drive, version cue folder, and drag the files into the recycling bin =)
So theres no need to install cs5 =D
Hope this can help others who still have this issue.

Opening/installing SAP NW2004 ABAP.rar file from hard.disc

I downloaded the NW2004 ABAP.rar software and saved it on a folder which is on my hard-disc. Since then I have been trying to unzip /open the file to no avail. Could someone please tell me what to do so that I can get the software installed on my Notebook.

Target mode system install - why must the installer machine start from CD?

I want to install on an iMac flatpanel 800mhz that has no working CD drive. The ibook I will use to target the imac does not want to boot from the retail Tiger CD but will read it fine under Finder.
Is it possible to run the retail install CDs on the ibook under finder without restarting the ibook? I see no reason why the ibook must boot from the CD as it is not the ibook I will be selecting as the destination drive but the imac.
But then Im probably wrong!

Put the CD in the iBook, then boot the iBook into Target Disk Mode (hold "T" while booting). You should see the floating FireWire logo on the iBook screen. Connect to the iMac with a FireWire cable and boot the iMac with Option held down. If you're lucky, you will see the Tiger DVD. Select it, then click the large, right-pointing, arrow.

My MacBook doesn't turn on, after the sound and start white sign it starts loading something and goes off again and again and doesn't turn on .

Full-Installed Tiger, iPhoto missing. Should I have started from Panther?

Couldn't find in Search so here goes. For various reasons I chose to go ahead and run a full install of Tiger after my OS crashed. Everything works fine except that iPhoto and GarageBand are nowhere to be found. Should I have started with the original Panther 10.3.2 before installing Tiger? Alternately, can I simply install the missing apps from the Panther software without starting completely over?

How to download/re-install 10.5?: On the road w/out my factory discs!

I have a 15" MacBook (black).
I am on the road w/out my orig factory OS discs.
I have a deep system corruption (user error: accidentally deleted some key files while trying to clean-up drive 'clutter')
I tried to reinstall OS from the new discs that came with my new 17" but no go.
I want to know how to:
1. Download most advanced version of OSX 10.5....
2. Burn the correct kind of disc (or run downloaded file to do install from my new 17" MBPro)
3. IF POSSIBLE do the above while saving the data (yes, i well back-up all...just in case).
Is this possible and can anyone here point me to clear instruction set and related OSX download link.

I have a new 15 in Mac Book Pro with 10.8.1. When I turn it on it always boots to the disk utilities rather than my harddrive. I select my startup disk and reboot. It starts fine. But when I shut it off the same sequence repeats. I have verified my drive and selected the hard drive as my startup disk.

I have hand-installed the NVidia graphics driver, and I have keyboard, minimal trackpad, and hardwire to internet all working. So the WIndows machine is usable. But I am hurting for wi-fi, better trackpad, and whatever else is delivered by Boot Camp. I can't use any of the Boot Camp upgrades because I do not have XP or Vista.
