Attempting to append a pdf to a pdf in Central Pro

We have a terms pdf that we want to append to our PO that is generated via Central Pro. Is there a way within Central Pro to append the terms pdf to the generated PO?

Here is the response to the same question on another thread back in October.
Chris Hicks, "Passthru Command" #1, 15 Oct 2007 1:00 pm
Apparently it can't be done with this software. Moving up to the
i expensive
LiveCycle products that replace Central Pro may make it possible.

When I attempt to open a PDF file I saved from a website using Safari, I get the message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired." When I save the same PDF file using FireFox it opens up immediately. Is there any way to correct this problem with Safari?

    Back up all data.
Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):
    /Library/Internet Plug-ins
    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

I can login fine via this address.

And I can apply the extension successfully, but when I attempt to download I receive the error above.

An attempt to open a pdf file with Photoshop Elements (version 12) resulted in a pop generated by the Photoshop Editor stated "Impossible to execute this operation (opening file) because one of the specified colour is not managed". Is there any mean to adapt the file to make its reading possible?
Did somebody get the same problem?

It is a high order probability that your SQL's report generator is creating the PDF, not Acrobat (which by design and EULA cannot be used in as/with server).
That the report generator outputs to an old-old version of PDF bears this out.
Wiki articles on PDF are very nice for those high level intro summaries.
To know / understand PDF you purchase and study the ISO Standard for PDF (ISO 32000-1:2008).
Rather than "PDF validation" you may want to consider addressing the appearent root cause of the problem(s).
You can change the email2fax application to one that can deal with older PDF versions.
You can change the report generator to one that can output to the ISO Standard.
(Perhaps the in-use application can be configured to output to the current version of PDF (i.e., the ISO Standard).
    Be well...

  • Internal Error: 8004, 6345644, 8487696, 0 when attempting to Save as PDF

I keep getting this error every time I create a PDF after crashing with a particular book. Now it looks like the PDF creation is corrupted. I have tried creating PDF's from books I had no problems with but I have had no luck without crashing FrameMaker with this exact error. I am using v8.0p277 on Vista Ultimate SP1 with and AMD.
This all started when I opened an older book created in 6.0 and updated in 7.0 and now when I opened it in 8.0 and created a PDF some images were randomly missing from one chapter. They appeared grayed out in the PDF. I opened the chapter and attempted to recreate the PDF and different images were grayed out in the PDF. Next attempt crashed with this error and now it does this every time regardless of the file or book. It appears to do this when it attempts to write the TPS file and access Distiller. I can open Distiller separately with no problems.
I can continue to use FrameMaker but I can't create a PDF using the Save Book As PDF. Is there a way to "Recover" the application without re-installing it?

Aha -- that's very likely the problem. I believe that the XPS Document writer is a "competitor" of sorts to Distiller, so it doesn't surprise me that it wouldn't create an output that Distiller could process.
FM is particularly sensitive to which default printer is used, and the best of all results are generally obtained by 1) having the Acrobat printer instance, or 2) as second best, having a Postscript printer of any sort, set as the default. FM used to specify that it must have a PS printer installed, I believe that's still the case with FM8].
That's one of the reasons that FM comes with a setup for Acrobat Distiller and that it installs Distiller as a printer on the system. [caveat: I'm an XP user, not Vista, so some of the names may be different on Vista]
So, if you do have a printer called "Adobe PDF" or similar, set that as your default printer before you open FM. Also, be sure that you set up Distiller so that it knows where your fonts are located.
There's a great freebie called SetPrint that will automatically set the Acrobat printer as the default for FM opens, here: http://www.sundorne.com
Please let us know if this resolves your problem making PDFs --

  • I'm attempting to create a pdf from InDesign and the Illustrator image does not appear properly.

I'm attempting to create a pdf from InDesign and the Illustrator logo does not appear properly. The logo has a light blue color background with a black to white gradiant over it with a multiply designation set at 100%.  I flattened the logo in illustrator before importing into InDesign. When the pdf is created, the blue background of the logo drops out and the only thing showing is the graduated screen of black. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

    Thanks for your reply Peter,
I'm on Mac OSX (10.5.8) using Acrobat 7 Professional and Acrobat
Reader 9 to view the pdf. I created it by exporting. Attached is a
screen capture of the letterhead. Since I posted, I sent a test pdf to
my partner's computer eventhough it didn't look right on my system and
she said it looked fine to her. I've restarted my computer and tried
again and still get the same results.

  • Error when attempting to convert a PDF in Acrobat Adobe 8.1.7

Upon attempting to convert a PDF drawing/file to a TIF format, one of our users receives this error message:.
Acrobat could not save a page in this document because of the following error:
The image is too wide to output.  Please crop it or reduce resolution and try again.
The image that is being converted is a drawing and the estimator can not crop it as he must have the drawing  "as is" in order to do takeoffs on the image.  Does anyone have a solution for this?  thank you!

Yea, for some reason Acrobat will open files that are large in layout size, but can not handle the type of conversion you were requesting. The print is a way around the problem. Glad it worked.

  • ? Every time I attempt to open a pdf using Adobe11 it crashes.  I reinstalled and same problem.

? Adobe 11 crashes every time I attempt to open a pdf. Uninstalled and reinstalled... still crashes.

If you are in Windows (which we don't know), you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement.

  • When attempting to edit a PDF doc, I get "Adobe has encountered an unknown error" Why?

When attempting to edit a PDF doc, I get "Adobe has encountered an unknown error" Why?

    Hi myarwema,
Are you using Acrobat on Mac OS or Windows (and what version?). You say you have version 11.0.0, but the current version is 11.0.10, so please choose Help > Check for Updates and install any available updates for starters.
Does the error occur regardless of the PDF that you try to edit? If the problem is widespread, I would recommend a repair/reinstall of Acrobat (if installing the updates doesn't help). If the problem occurs with just the one document, that PDF could be damaged.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Using the IPAD mail Icon I attempted to download a PDF attachment.

Using my IPAD2 'email Icon' as usual I attempted to download a PDF attachment [first two worked OK]. A blank greyish mottled screen resulted - and I can't get back to 'emails'. Trying the Icon always brings the blank screen - What must I do please?
    Many thanks
    Brian Payne

You've got the iBooks app installed on your iPad ? If you do and in the Mail app the PDF attachment is open full screen, if you tap the attachment you should get an icon top right of a square with an arrow coming out of it, tap that and you should see an 'open in iBooks' option. If the PDF is shown within the email (i.e. it's not full screen) then press and hold on the attachment and after a second or two you should get a popup appear.
You can also sync PDFs to the iBooks app via your computer's iTunes. You should be able to add them to your iTunes via File > Add To Library (they will go into the Books part of your iTunes library), and you can then sync them to the iPad by connecting and selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes, and then use the Books tab on the right-hand side to select and sync the PDFs to the iBooks app.

  • Have downloaded both Adobe reader and PDF reader, but when I attempt to open a pdf from a site on safari, it starts to load, then disappears.  Any way to fix this?

Have downloaded both Adobe reader and PDF reader, but when I attempt to open a pdf from a site on safari, it starts to load, then disappears.  Any way to fix this?

Try quitting the PDF apps and Safari like I describe below. Then reset the iPad. After it starts try again.
Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
