Attempting to set up IP camera to view remotely
Hi All! Firs time here... Been working on this problem all week with no result...
I have a westel 6100G modem bridged to a dlink 655 wireless router. I am attempting to install a Tenvis JPT3815W IP cam to remotely view from work. I have been successful in viewing through my LAN but not remotely.
I know I must do some port forwarding on the modem or router or both .I also think I'm supposed to have a static IP but have no idea for sure.
I guess I need someone experienced with doing this to walk me step by step through this. I appreciate any help anyone can give.
The cam is going to be used so that I can view the activity going on in our nonprofit educational organization while I'm on the road.

When yoi say bridged, you mean:
a) The RJ-45 WAN port of the dlink 655 is connected to the RJ-45 LAN port of the Westell
and

Unable to successfully set up my WVC200 to view remotely.
Hi everyone,
This is somewhat of a long story so please bare with me. I've had my WVC200 for a number of years and for the last year (at least) its been stored in a bag in my closet. The camera was bought to monitor my grandmother after she fell down the stairs, I set it up originally and had no problems connecting via VLC to view (I'm an OSX user and at the time this was the only way that I know of to view the feed). I'd set up a DynDNS address and forward the camera port (1024) and all was well. My Grandmothers health improved and the camera was taken down.
Two weeks ago her knees gave out and she's still in hospital recovering. I decided to re-install the camera ready for when she comes home (tomorrow). I'm sat here in my Grandmothers living room after 7 hours of battling with the camera. I give in.. this is my last attempt before it gets thrown out the window.
I've started from scratch and had to buy a new router, I bought a Netgear DGN1000 as the old Netgear died. I set up the camera with a static IP (192.168.0.200) subnet 255.255.255.0 and gateway 192.168.0.1. I entered the primary and secondary DNS address taken from my routers status screen.
I've changed the video format to MJPEG and set up a couple of user accounts, changed the default port for the camera to 8181 and ensured the 'Alt port' option is ticked.
created a new DynDNS (nancam.******.net) and have a old PC upstairs using the DynDNS software to keep the IP upto date (I've tried using the DYNDNS feature on the router but stayed with the PC software as it had worked in the past).
The Netgear port forwarding options are a little different with the option to create a service (I created WVC200 and opened port 8181) then using another tab names Firewall rules I pointed the WVC200 service to the address of the camera 192.168.0.200.
internally the camera works fine. I can access it via Safari 192.168.0.200:8181 and via the 'Linksys Cam' app on my iphone4 based on the same info (plus a user and pass). It even works internally via my Dns address with the port both on Safari and 'Linksys Cam'.
However, the moment I try from another network (my home broadband and 3G on the iPhone) I'm out of luck.
When I enter my DNS from another network in a browser it prompts for the USR/PASS so I know it's routing through to the camera okay but once I've entered the User and password the server times out and no page is loaded. same with 'Linksys Cam' it just comes back saying no video is being received from the address.
I've been at it today for several hours starting from scratch with both the router and the camera a number of times. I've tried different ports both wired and wireless connections from the camera and always hit the same wall, it works internally on the same network as the camera but nothing once I've left the house.
I've come to the conclusion this camera is broken, I'm hoping one of you can tell me I'm wrong. I do like the camera and it was a real asset the first time round. With my Grandmother coming out tomorrow I'm feeling gutted I've been unable to get this working.
I've followed this guide and read page after page of threads both here and elsewhere. I'm rather IT literate and cant help thinking I'm simply missing something.

I can't help but think that the issue is router related. The only thing I might change in the camera is to change the primary DNS to 192.168.0.1, although I admit it is trivial. A few questions:
Can you access the router setup page remotely if you enable that?
Have you tried pinging the FQDN to find the IP, then enter that in your browser?
Have you tried MPEG instead of MJPEG?
It sounds like you are getting to the camera since it prompts you for the Username/Password. Once you authenticate something is stopping the video stream/webpage from loading properly. I would like to see if you can access the router remotely and start dropping security settings until you can access the camera. (Turn the firewall off if necessary for testing purposes.)

I created search page by dragging this view object from MyApplicationModule->NamedCriteria
but i don't want to show all the fields that their names start with ROLE in my search option so I unChecked the attribute queryalbe

if i press OK on error message and click search again it works
how can I make this error disappearno I don't think that i have

[Question 1]
I'm having problems defining and using appropriate user-defined cameras / views created within Acrobat 3D Toolkit.
What I would like to do is predefine a set of appropriate user-defined views based on exact angles within my U3D model, and use this set within 3D annotations embedded in PDF documents.
What I do not want are inexact views. I know that I could generate views by mouse-dragging (rotating) the scene within Acrobat 3D and saving the current view using the view snapshot button. That's not what I want.
First of all I think I understand the difference between using views vs. using cameras:
- When using views and clicking the left mouse button, the camera stays fixed, and the model is rotated about the center of the scene.
- When using cameras and clicking the left mouse button, the camera is rotated around its focal point.
I came up with the following workflow:
(1) Open a U3D model in Acrobat 3D Toolkit
(2) Select the desired view, e.g. 30° isometric view left top front, no perspective
(3) Create a new camera (which is based on the current view)
(4) Save the U3D model
(5) Embed the U3D model into a PDF document thus creating a new 3D annotation
(6) Import the cameras stored in the U3D model converting them into 3D annotation views
The problem is that the resulting 3D annotation views are cameras but not views. I.e. when the user activates such a view and drags the mouse, the camera will be rotated but not the model! If the camera is far enough away from the center of the scene, the model "escapes".
How can I solve this?

Acrobat 3D Toolkit user manual:
p.51:
"Note: A sample views.xml is included with Acrobat 3D Toolkit and can be used as a template to define your custom views."
p.54:
User-defined views can be created either by creating camera objects or by defining the views in the views.xml file."
p.54:
"views.xml file: Views created using the views.xml file are non-positional. That is, they only control the angle of the camera. They are activated by using the Views menu (on page 293). Note that this file must be located in Acrobat 3D Toolkit's root installation folder for the views to be visible in the Views menu."
I have no such file in my Acrobat installation folder. Where can I get a sample views.xml file?

SebiThe issue with the camera orbiting around its center is due to a limitation of the U3D file format. U3D does not support the concept of a camera target object or position. This means that when cameras are imported from the file the information pertaining to their orbit distance is lost in the conversion.
The only way to really get around this shortcoming at the moment is to manually create the views in the PDF file with the correct camera target distance.
Another possible solution is to create the views and then add a JavaScript file that has a CameraEventHandler that updates the camera's target distance based up the camera information provided.
Something like the following:

My main question is: Can new PWA views be created whereby a filter for that view can be set, and associate to the view by default? (Project Server 2013 ONLINE)? and can I have a filter set to filter on person logged on to...
In previous versions of Project Server, when CREATING a PWA view, we were able to apply/ define a filter for that view. Does not seem like it is the case in Project Server 2013 Online. And if I remember, we could also use the URL Guid_view_id.
Please confirm; and / or tell me how-to.
What I was hoping to do is the following... Given that our standard that we have adopted for reporting time is 'My Timesheets' (fyi, Single Mode Entry=ON), we have some resources who have others who do it on their behalf via 'My Tasks' (ie., accomplished
by using the 'Assignment Owner' field, accordingly). Therefore, when entering time on someone else's behalf within 'My Tasks', we like to present the user that is logged in only the tasks that they are are assigned to update on others' behlaf.
I know that there is another more elegant approach to doing this which may be to use the Delegation feature. But since we are trying to stick to Sharepoint Security mode for now, this is not an option for the time being.

1- You still can define in Project Online a filter in the view settings, it is located just above the category setting. Here is a screenshot of the summary project center view:
2- The view GUID is not anymore in the URL, since the URL triggers an action only on the webpart and not on the whole page. I agree this is annoying since it was great to send a URL with a specific view.
3- Concerning the access to my timesheet versus my task, I'm not sure to get a full understanding but on a general way, it is much more easy to deal with those situation using categories which you cannot do with the SP permission mode.

Outlook will not launch properly after initial attempt at setting up Exchange e-mail
I initially posted this on the general Outlook forum, but they said it was an Exchange problem so I should post it here for an answer.
I recently had to wipe my laptop and perform a clean install of Win 7 Home Professional 64 Bit. I re-downloaded and installed my Office Suite (University 2010 ... basically everything in Professional), and can access everything except Outlook. I
attempted to set up my school e-mail on it (which I have successfully set up on my desktop), but it wouldn't connect to the server. It wouldn't let me cancel the set up, and now every time I try to open Outlook I get this error message:
The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Yes, I've verified I'm online. :)
When I click OK, a new window pops up that says "Microsoft Exchange" and has my server and mailbox info, with a "check name" button. When I click the check name, I get the same error as above; occasionally Outlook will hang in "not
responding" and I have to force close the program.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Office, but no change (I'm guessing there were some registry files or something that hung around and keep trying to get back in). I've tried going to Control Panel > Mail > E-mail Accounts and removing the
school account from the E-mail tab (I get the error: You cannot delete this Outlook data file. Configuration information in the file is being copied to your new default data file. You can delete the file after this information is copied). I
was able to add a Gmail account, and it is working fine. But I can't set up or get rid of this school account. Occasionally I'll get that "Microsoft Exchange is unavailable" message again (seems to be random, I don't even have to be touching
anything and it will pop up), and I got a message earlier something about my OST (I think) file, but I didn't copy down that error and I can't figure out what I did to get it. At this point I'm completely and utterly confused, and would appreciate any
help that anyone can come up with.I set it up exactly like I did in Outlook on my desktop computer. At this point I just want to get the account info off Outlook so I don't have to deal with it, even though I won't be able to check my school e-mail from my laptop without going through
the 4 steps it takes to log in through the school website.

Just had a thought, is there anything on the desktop I can copy and paste it into a folder on my desktop so that I know it's set up correctly? I'm 99.999% sure I did it the same way, but that's the only foolproof way I can think of to make absolutely

I can play songs from my husband's library. I can't drag them into my library.
If deauthorizing/authorizing is the solution, who needs to do what? We've got three computers and two iTunes accounts. -
I attempted to set up a new HP wireless printer. It is unstable and HP support says I have too many devices since I have a time capsule and 4 airport express either extending my network or being used for a different printer or stereos. Anyone else find that their Airport Express/Extreme interferes with a wireless printer. If so, what's the point?
I have a similar model, the HP 8500A here in the home office that I originally hooked up using wireless on an AirPort system consisting of an AirPort Extreme, Time Capsule and 2 AirPort Express devices.
The HP was originally hooked up to the "main" router using wireless as a test to see how wireless would perform. No issues with setup or performance over the first few weeks. I did eventually change the device to connect using Ethernet once I had room to move the device near the AirPort Extreme.
HP is pulling your leg with the advice about too many devices. The AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule will handle up to 50 wireless devices. In my case, I did nothing except follow the setup procedure and restart the entire network....something that I always do when I make any change to the network. -
Why is WB temperature way different than what's set in my camera?
I did search for the topic before I posted and only one relevant post came up (in the last month) which moreless confirmed the same issue with a different camera.
I shoot Olympus E1, so I dialed 7500K and fired a shot. Imported into Aperture and looking at WB scale and it reads 6186K. The image looks as if Aperture showed the image correctly, but the number is way off. 1300K difference??? So obviously if I move it to 7500 it will not be correct anymore because it will be rather 8800 in reality.
Second thing I did right after, was to look at EXIF and sure enough Aperture showed no value in WB field.
For a comparison purpose I looked at the shot in ACR and found out that the temperature was spot on. So this is not rather whether Olympus is hiding the value so it's difficult to retrieve, but rather how is Aperture coming up with so wrong figure.
I am also curious how can Aperture get the image colored correctly if it cannot figure out the set WB value in camera properly.
Puzzling to say the least and confusing possibly for processing work.

There are a couple ways you can get white balance "right."
1) You can shoot a grey card (or something like an ExpoDisc) in the field and then set the white balance of the camera onsite.
2) You can shoot the same grey card onsite and leave the camera on AWB, and shoot everything. Then go back and eyedropper the grey card and batch change all your photos.
#2 is quicker... but they both work equally well.
But practically you will not "get it right" by setting the white balance to a preset in the field. "Daylight" at 5000K (or whatever the setting in your camera is), is a total WAG. The actual color temperature may be 4500K or 6300K in that setting -- you will have very little chance of getting it right by picking an auto setting. You COULD break out a spectropherometer and measure and find it is 5002K so use 5000K in camera, but again if Aperture came up with 4837 you'll still want to edit later.
If you are "serious about your shooting" where "serious" means accurate, then you are going to be shooting indoors under controlled lighting conditions. You will also shoot with a full GMB card which has all the colors and tints and hues, so you can get absolutely correct colors (HELLO, FASHION AND ADVERTISING PHOTOGRAPHY). If you do landscape, then color temperature, as is contrast and a number of other things, is open to interpretation. When I was shooting with Seth Resnick in Antarctica a few weeks back, his rule of thumb was basically "Start at 6500K and warm it up from there." lol. Still, his images are beautiful. -

How-to set the title of a View
Hi,
I'm a very newbie of Obj-C and InterfaceBuilder.
From three days I'm fighting with my iPhone app to set the title of a view.
I've the MainWindow.xib with a UITabBarController; each tabbar's viewcontroller is on a separate xib (i.e.: the GUI of every button of the tabbar is on a different xib file).
In IB I set up the top bar property to Translucente etc... In Xcode, in the viewDidLoad I set the self.title to something... but the top bar is never shown!!
I also tried to set self.navigationItem.title... but nothing...
To see the top bar do I have to use a NavigationController inside every "button" of the tab bar?? Or is the top bar property of IB not working??

View Function dropdown "standard view" is just making the ALV to display the ALV standard configuration (so it will display the ALV the way is designed).
now if you want to change that to your OWN VIEW you just need to click in the SETTINGS (ALV TOOLBAR at the right end) and then configure your ALV the way you want to be display. After that click SAVE AS and you can name the VIEW to your own and also you can click INITIAL VIEW checkbox in order to display always that for youl.
Please note that this is a user base personification so this will be only available for you.
if you want to have your own view for every user then you need to enhanced the ALV in a POST-EXIT method and do not allowed user personification.
you can disable user personification at the application level in the parameters tab.

Here am trying to set the PDF document initial view by the Acrobat SDK with C#.
Here I am show my screen shot which properties I want to set.

Because it won’t work I do’t known, and there is no clear samples in the SDK reference document.
So please give advice and clear sample code/syntax to meet above needs which are marked in red box.

When attempting to set up Mac OS to open files with a specific app (version), through 'Change All' on Get Info, it reverts to most latest version of the same app. Any reason why it does not allow my other version of same app to be the default one?
I have Acrobat Pro 10.1.13 and Adobe Reader 10.1.13.
If I use the Finder to get all PDFS to open with Reader instead of Pro, they do. And vice versa, using the Change All. -

if you want to sort the table fields like ascending , Descending create one event ex: eh_on_sorting.
in that get the event using thtmlb_event. then check whether sorting is necessary or not.
then get the name of column to be sort by using tableview->column_key.
based on that arrange the field ascending or descending using tableview->column_sort_directin.
ascending or descending.
then sort the collection using collection_wrappor->sort( lv_attrname .. etc).

Phone has become worse to do a pictures. A lot of noise on the photo. Often photo obtained not clear, smeared. I've heard that i can configure through iTunes. But I do not know how?? Or tell me another way to set up and adjust the camera.

I have the iPhone 5 (Just 5)OS X was designed long before the advent of SSD and the built in assumption is that everything would exist on the boot drive. If you want to change that, you'll need to do it manually. If I had an iMac with an SSD (a MBA has become my main computer) I'd leave the OS and applications on it and move at least some of my files to the standard hard drive - certainly all the media (music and video).
The techs I work with have been arguing (politely) about the benefits of their own setups. One moved the entire User's directory to the standard drive. Copy your files by dragging, open Groups & Users in the System Preferences, option click on each account name and then point to the new location of the user's directory. Test that it works before deleting the directory from the SSD.
The other kept his Users directory on the SSD but moved everything but the Library folder, then he put aliases of the folders into his user directory and dragged new folders into the Finder window sidebar. His argument is that many programs keep a hefty number of files in the Application Support folder and keeping them on the SSD lets the program start faster. Since I've not done any testing I can't say yes or no.
