Attempts to email photos cause iPhone 4 (iOS 5) to crash.

Whenever I hit "email photo" in the library of the photos or camera apps on my iPhone 4 (running iOS 5.0.1), the app freezes for a while and eventually crashes before the email window ever appears. Sending a photo by text message is not a problem, but I can no longer send them by email from my iPhone. I have already attempted rebooting, resetting and even restoring the iPhone, but nothing has worked. All software is up to date. The issue has persisted for weeks (perhaps since I downloaded iOS 5?). I would greatly appreciate your help!

I just solved this issue! Here's the solution in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem: I had him link his phone number to his Apple ID by adding his his phone number to his contact in his Contacts List. After that, messages sent to his phone number are blue.
I'm guessing his phone number was disconnected from his Apple ID when he somehow toggled off iMessage.

Type unread in the search box and delete all of the messages that come up this will resolve the issue.

Try using Image Capture to see if they will import using that program. If it does then you drag and drop on top of iPhoto. If they do not then there may be an issue with the photos. Alternatively you can email the pictures to yourself and then save them to your computer. Check out the articles below for importing and troubleshooting photos that

Problem with my email account after attempting to email photos with iphoto

I'm not sure if I'm posting this question in the correct place...please forgive me if not and if you know where I should post it please tell me.
I'm new to using a mac computer. I just bought my first one last week. I loaded some pics yesterday and attempted to email some to a friend...thought I knew how to do this without reading directions. ...well, after a few tries I locked up my computer momentarily and closed out my many attempts to send the few attempts of open emails I was trying to send through iphoto with a pic. iphoto is now fine and I now know how to send the photos through it using email...my problem now is that when I merely click on mail ... it shows the computer is receiving several messages but fails to put them in my inbox. I tried deleting the mailbox and adding it again. Didn't help. I tried rebooting and also shutting down the computer al the way. Didn't work. I am very computer illiterate (as if that wasn't obvious)...if you can help me, please be overly descriptive of what I need to do.
It appears that the email is "hung up" somehow...like stuck in iphoto mode for lack of a better way to describe this.
Please help me if you can.

Cannot open .eml attachments (attached RFC/822 email messages) in iPhone Mail - iOS 5.1

I cannot open attached emails (such as those in .eml format) in iOS mail, but I seem to recall this working in iOS 4. (Can't remember for sure.) Is anyone else having the same problem? For me they just show up as garbled pieces of headers, not even as attachments.

Am I really the only one out there who cannot open emails attached inside emails on the iPhone? I see 31 people have viewed this so far but no replies.
To make sure this wasn't a problem with my mail provider (an IMAP server on a proprietary Linux box), I also tried sending an email with an attached email to my me.com/iCloud account. Same problem there. The webmail interface on iCloud.com deals with the attachment just fine, but not the Mail app on the iPhone. It doesn't even display as an attachment on the iPhone.

Cant email photos from iPhone 3G

This is a fairly recent problem for me but I am unable to email photos from my iPhone (either photo's synced from iPhoto or those taken on phone itself). Its a 3G phone and is running firmware 2.1. I'm not able to upload photos using the photo uploader feature in the Facebook app either.
After doing some research and some tests, I noticed that I can accomplish these tasks if I'm connected to a WiFi network or if I'm using EDGE (ie, 3G turned off) but NOT when I'm on the 3G netowrk. The error I'm getting is something about the message could not be sent and it ends up in my outbox. I have two email accounts set up on the phone, one a Yahoo account, the other a corporate email account. The same error occurs using either account.
I cant think of anything I've done to change the phone recently other than add a couple of seemingly unrelated Apps from the App Store (e.g., iTV, Grocery IQ, Pandora).
Any thoughts?

Had a guy at the Genius Bar at the local Apple store look at the phone yesterday. He swapped SIM cards and was able to send photos so it would seem that its a SIM card issue. He mentioned that they're starting to see odd problems here and there related to the 3G network which coincidentally or no was apparently fully rolled out recently here in So Cal. So now I need to go to an AT&T store to get a new card...hopefully that will do the trick.

How are you emailing the photo?
Are you selecting the photo in the photo album, then on the bottom left you will see the arrow icon click on that then it gives you option, when you click email photo - what happens?
