Attention existing users - Signing up for Adobe Story

As an existing user, you now have the option of signing up for a free  1-year subscription of CSLive or just Adobe Story.
In case you get stuck somewhere during the process of signing up, the  best solution is to just wait for a few minutes and re-launch the  application. This allows the time (usually not more than a minute or  two) for your account to get updated with the latest subscription  details.
We understand that this is not the best experience and are working hard to resolve it before our next update.

Hi Srinath,
After today, will it still be possible to sign up to use Adobe Story?  I've got some folks I'm collaborating with and I know they have Adobe ID's, but I'm not sure if they've actually signed up to use Story yet.  Will they be locked out tomorrow?

    You are missing two things.

Backup information includes information such as mail settings, text messages, notes, call history, contact favorites, sound settings, widget settings, certain network settings, and other preferences including settings and data from third-party applications purchased from the App Store. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

    How can I download/Install it??

    Can you cancel the download?  If so please try canceling the download and initiating the download again.  When choosing a destination to download the install files too please choose the default of your user folder.
    Alternately you can follow the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

    I've checked your account. I see that you just purchased the subscription this morning. The order is still pending processing, which is why you haven't yet been able to log in an use your subscription. It can take 24-48 hours for a subscription to process fully. Once it does, you'll be able to log in and convert files.

    Using Adobe Export PDF, you can export PDF files to Word document (.docx and .doc),  Excel document (.xlsx), Powerpoint document (.pptx), Rich Text Format document (.rtf) and Image (.jpg, .tiff, .png). In order to convert to PDF, you need to either purchase PDF Pack (Reliably Create PDFs, Convert PDFs, & Merge PDFs Online | Adobe PDF Pack) or Adobe Acrobat XI (PDF creator, create PDF | Adobe Acrobat XI).

    That is not clear to me since they only appear to offer Anuual and Prepaid Annual options.  You can always go with the free 30 day trial if you haven't already.

    Can you tell me where you saw '2013'?  I looked on Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe, Adobe - Adobe Runtimes / Reader Distribution License Agreement, and Adobe Runtimes / Reader Distribution Agreement, and I'm not seeing '2013'.  Once I find out exactly where this is at, I can forward it to the appropriate folks to update.

    Yes.
    The only difference is the installation method and the ownership verification. The program still is installed on and runs from your local machine. You only have to hook up to the internet every 60-90 days to verify ownership.

    No, the desktop applications in Creative Cloud, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, are installed directly on your computer, so you don’t need an ongoing Internet connection to use them.
    An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.
    Annual members can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode."

    if nothing at all has changed, make sure you are actually running Acrobat, not still running Reader. But if you hope for something like Word, it isn't. Editing PDF is a painful last resort.

    I've been using Adobe Story for a while now and I just tried logging into it on a different device. It asked for my password which it normally does if I have to use a different computer, and I set it to remember password as I use this computer a lot. But now when I press 'Sign In' the screen just refreshes on the same 'Sign In' pager and won't let me open it. Why is it doing this?

    The availability of Story Plus is dependent on the Subscription Plan a user has for Creative Cloud. For some plans(like Education), Story plus in not available currently. Story free is available to all users.
    For further information, please check the subscription plan details. You can also drop us a mail at : [email protected] with your Adobe ID and we can check the information for you.
    Let us know if the following steps helps in resolving the issue with the desktop app:
    ( Please do not try these steps if you are a free user )
    - Quit Story if it is running.
    - Open Run dialog ( press Windows key + R ), type " %appdata% " ( without quotes ) and press enter.
      - Go to Adobe/AIR/ELS and rename folder 'com.adobe.AdobeStory.[some.random.number]'
      - Launch Story and try to login.
    To understand the Premiere issue better, can you please mail me( roverma(at)adobe(dot)com ) a screen shot of it ( Story option being grayed out )?

  • Trying to Sign Up for Adobe InDesign / Cloud

    I have registered copies of CS4, Web Premium, which includes InDesign and of CS6 Premiere Premium (which does not include InDesign.)
    I had a PC crash which required changing the C: drive, thus all software had to be reloaded.
    Adobe was helpful in getting my Premiere Premium programs downloaded and running again.
    But I can't find the CD with CS4 InDesign program. So I signed up for the Trial of InDesign/Cloud and downloaded that.
    Now I want to register for the InDesign (only) Cloud version @ $29.99 (For users of Adobe products).
    But when I enter either Serial Numbers from my CS4 disks (I have the package, not the right disk) or the serial number for my CS6 package (showing I have a valid Adobe product), it wouldn't accept those serial numbers.
    Where do I go from here?

    After I signed up for an Adobe account all the PDF docs in the Adobe app of my phone were cleared. They are still reflecting on my Download app but I cannot open them. Pls help.

    Because you just signed up, you probably do not have any files on Acrobat.com ("cloud").
    In the Reader home screen, could you tap Documents to see the files that are locally stored on your device (not on Acrobat.com)?
