"Attention! Your password has already expired."

Does anyone else have this dialog box appear when you start the computer? It began a couple weeks ago, and I haven't upgraded or added new software.

Select (triple-click) the following line, then control-click and select Services > Reveal from the contextual menu that appears:
/Library/Security/
Your Mac should switch to a Finder window. Open the highlighted folder. It will contain a few other files and folders. What are their names?

prompted to change their password. After the password is changed
succesfully a further popup box appears "Your Password is expired". The
user can cancel this box and continue. This behavior does not occur
outside of Virtual Office.

To Reproduce:
NetWare 6.5 Support Pack 5
Add a UP policy to a container, set policy to expire password after 30
days and give 6 grace logins.
Add forgotten password option and use the sample challenge set.
Create a new user in this container. No Other container or user password
restrictions other than the defaults should be set. Login to VO as the
user - get prompted to change the password.
After Changing Password, the POP UP will appear saying password has expired.
If you disable the grace logins from the UP Policy this works fine.

HT5622 seems like every 3-4 days I get an email from Apple saying your password has been reset,if you didn't change it go to etc'

If you are receiving e-mail messages that indicate that someone is trying to reset your Apple ID password, they may be phishing scams. Do not click any links in those e-mail messages, and if you make the mistake of doing so, do not provide your current Apple ID password on the page you are directed to.
Unfortunately, in this case, there's nothing to be done except treat those messages the same way you would any other spam.
The other possibility is that someone is actually trying to reset your Apple ID password. This may be due to a malicious attack, but more likely, it's just someone who thinks your Apple ID is actually theirs (due to a typo, faulty memory or something similar) and is trying to "regain" access. In any case, this is merely an annoyance, but you can put an end to it by enabling two-factor authentication on your Apple ID. This will require an additional piece of information that only you will possess in order to even start the password reset process.
If you are actually seeing your password getting changed, and are having to reset it yourself to regain access, you are being hacked. This could be because your password is not strong enough to withstand a brute-force attack by a botnet. It could also be because the attacker already has access to your e-mail address, and is able to intercept the reset e-mail and complete the reset process. Because of that danger, you should change the password for the e-mail account associated with your Apple ID. You should also change the password for your Apple ID, making sure that it is a strong password, and enable two-factor authentication as mentioned above.

"Your password has been incorrectly entered too many times. Go to the iTunes Store on your computer and retrieve your password."
I keep getting this message, but when I go to iTunes, it lets me in with no problem and I don't know where I should be going to retrieve my password. Additionally, my Mac-based iTunes Library keeps disappearing from the Apple TV menu and today it started streaming (videos from my iTunes library) extremely slowly for some reason which I cannot discern. I don't know what the problem is, but my daughter is getting very frustrated that Word World keeps pausing every minute or so to buffer.
Any help would be fantastic!

I, too, am getting this error. Mine is on my Apple TV (black) and seems to happen any time I switch between items on the main menu screen. Apple recently prompted me to change my password for my Apple ID account. However, when I get this error message, I just select 'OK' and go on. It does not seem impact watching any content streamed from my Mac nor does it impact accessing Netflix...
Other than being a nuisance, I haven't been able to find what is causing it and what limitations are resulting from it. I'm also not sure where I can go to update the password this Apple TV is using.

SBS 2008 RWW displays "Your password has expired. Change it on the Change Password page."

I have one User Account that when logging into RWW , a dialog (as attached) comes up? From my experience, when a password needs to be changed you are simply taken to the change password screen to enter old password and new. This AD account even has Password
does not expire set.
Even after changing password in AD this comes up - there are some other worrying things happening with this account as when the User opened their mailbox all of their Unread Items were marked as Read. Not sure if this is related.
When I login with another Test User Account, I cannot force the same dialog to come up and a google does not show me much.
Could RWW of been compromised or is there something in User AD Account? I ended up resetting Users' password via AD just to be safe, but dialog still comes up.

Did this encounter for all the user accounts or just for a specific one?
In general,if it is determined that the user must change the password upon logging on to the site (for example, the password has expired or set to User must change password at next logon), the logon page will present that error message to the user.
Please check the prperties of that user account to see if you have selected "User must change password at next logon"check box.
In addition, please check the default domain policy via the path below: Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Account Policies/Password Policy
Pleae check the value you have configured for “Maximum password age”.

I am trying to buy music and get a message "your password has been disabled"

Hi: I am trying to buy music from itunes for the first time and it asks me to log in. I get a message that says "password has been disabled, go to itunes support. It accepts the password for me to log in. Anyone has an idea how to get pass this? Thanks.

login to portal as orcladm and change the password for the specific user from Portal UI under Administer -> Edit User
OR
logon to OID using the Oracle Directory Manager,
and change the password of the OID user manually from there.

First and most important, do not call the number, do not let them have access to your Mac, and DO NOT pay them anything.
All such warnings like this are scams. You are not infected with anything, and nothing has been installed or downloaded to your Mac.
Force quit Safari. Hold the shift key down and relaunch it. If that alone doesn't do it, temporarily disconnect from the Internet and repeat. If the page appears, you will be able to move away from it or close it's tab since the scam pop-up can't contact the remote server to keep you stuck. Reconnect to the Internet after clearing the page.

How do you get over the paradox of using 'find my iphone' when your iphone has already been lost?

I 'lost my iphone on a trip to Turkey - it was left on the aircraft but then disappeared. All attempts to trace it have proved fruitless. I tried to download the iphone app 'find my ihone' - but of course you need the iphone to use it!. I then downloaded icloud to use on my PC - following the instructions on how to use the app on a PC - but when I try to log into icloud I get the message 'this is a valid user ID for Apple but not for icbloud'. Any suggestions on what to do

You would have the same problem using the Find my iPhone app. Your phone's Find my iPhone is not linked to the iCloud ID that you think it is.
