Attribute.get exception

the get() method on an Attribute object can throws a NamingException. Does anybody have any idea on what could go wrong in the operation (I use an LDAP). All error should occurs on the getAttributes() method.
am I wrong?

When using the LDAP implementation of the JNDI interfaces the get() method on an attribute only throws java.util.NoSuchElementException if there are no attribute values.
The get() method is declared to throw NamingException to keep the interfaces generic because other implementations may throw the exception.
The fact that the current LDAP implementation dosent throw a NamingException dosent meen it wont in the future.

How do you throw attribute level exception in setter for VORowImpl

I am trying to perform a very basic view object extension in iProcurement. All I want to do is throw an attribute level exception (or row level...whichever I can get to work). The code runs, however, the page displays the attribute error for all rows, and, it should only be displaying it for the row that had the validation error.
I next simplified the test by extending the iProcurement view object, but, not generating any VORowImpl classes. This way, I am using only Oracle code. Same result...if I purposely enter a bad number on one row, the result when I hit the continue button is that all rows get flagged with the error.
Without the substitution, the error is displayed correctly for only the row that caused it.
Are there any known issues using OAAttrValException or OARowValException when substitution is made on a view object?

SOLVED -
I found the issue.
JDeveloper Version 9.0.3.5 appears to have a 'bug' I may have found. When creating a new View Object, the key attribute(s) that are pulled in from the view object you are extending appear to all have the 'Key Attribute' checkbox checked. (View object I am extending is not based on EO objects). However, if you inspect the xml file for the new view object, you will see that the wizard did not save off the value for the key attributes in the "KeyAttributes" tag usually found at the end of the xml file, such as:

<Item Value="RcvTransactionId" />
</AttrArray>
You think the key attribute is set because the GUI displays the checkbox.
Closing the project and re-opening, which causes the xml fiel to be read again, will refresh the checkbox so that it is unchecked. Checking and re-saving does the trick.
Without the key attribute set, any calls to OAAttrValException with parameter getKey() break as getKey() returns null. Subsequently, the exceptions thrown to the user on the screen are improperly displayed.
Everything works great now! I just have to remember to go back and check any 'Key Attributes' on future View Object extensions.

Getting exception while running es.getService("", "InfoStore" )

Not sure if this is the correct forum to place this question.
We are connecting to a BOE XI Rel 3.1 server that has Crystal Reports templates. We are trying to get the report number by performing the folowing query:
"Select SI_ID, SI_DESCRIPTION From CI_INFOOBJECTS Where SI_NAME ='"report_name"'"
We are getting an erro message while performing the following code:
iStore = (IInfoStore) es.getService("", "InfoStore" );
We get the exception below about 10 to 15 times but then it is able to work and it gets the report id correctly.

I've seen similar stack trace before, but the issue is usually consistent.
You're getting exception when it's reading the Security Info property bag.
Does this happen with all Users, even the Administrator account?

Cannot get exception-type to work

          WLS 60 SP1 (#101616)
          Cannot get <exception-type> to work. WLS shows standard “Internal error
          500” page instead of a custom error page. The custom error page is shown
          if <error-code> is used instead of <exception-type>.

You have no permission to create a report. You have to create a permisson-entry into your server.policy. Then it would be work.

I have used Azure managed Cache (Basic tier) in my Web App deployed on cloud service.

I know, this exception is occurred when memory usage reached more than 95%.
I want to handle this issue in code so please provide the right solution.

You should add retry logic in case of retriable exceptions. If the retries fail as well you should reset the DataCacheFactory as suggested in this link.

Getting Exception during the page navigation in remote server deployed Appl

Hi,
When i am Navigating from my screen to Parent Screen after texudo service update , My application is working fine in Local System, The same applications are hosted on the weblogic server, but in separate Weblogic domains . when i run the application in deployed URL , I am getting exception. Your question is unclear to me, but if you just want to verify your syntax is legal, then YES. You can easily set a value in a variable with <cfscript> and then later use that variable in a <cftag...> like you showed.
But I would argue there is little additional security in using passwords in code like this between setting the password and using it directly in the tag. There may be reusability and maintainability advantages, but little advantage to security.

Issue in getting exception pointer in VC++ CLR project for generating dump file.

We are working on VC++ CLR (Windows Forms) application.
We are writing a code to generate Mini dump file (using MINIDUMPWRITEDUMP in dbghelp.dll) whenever application crashes.
The code available on internet for writing mini dump file in c# generates the mini dump but without Exception code and information, because _EXCEPTION_INFORMATION was set using Marshal::GetExceptionPointers() which returns 0. We called MINIDUMPWRITEDUMP
inside AppDomain::UnhandledExceptionEventHandler for this.
To get the valid exception pointer for mini dump we made following attempts with and without AppDomain::UnhandledExceptionEventHandler –
Used mixed (managed and unmanaged ) dll to add SetUnhandledExceptionFilter. Inside top level exception filter function added code to write mini dump. Inside main the handler is set on 1<sup>st</sup> line. But handler is not invoked

Used __try __except inside application main. The exception filter was written in other C++ dll and called inside __except ( expression ) using platform Invoke. But this throws the caught exception while trying to call handler.

Few days back we tried following sample program and we were able to get exception code and pointer for almost all types of exception catch inside __except statement.
1. Create sample VC++ > CLR > Windows form application.
2. Change Common language Runtime support to (/clr).
3. Set UnhandledExceptionMode to ThrowException in main.
4. Inside application cpp file add __try __except around Application::Run(gcnew Form1()).
5. Add new header file to write unmanaged function to be called inside __except statement to handle exception.
6. Created new Form1 and add few buttons to test different types of exceptions.
7. Exceptions will be catch in __except statement and exception pointers will be available to write mini dump.
Inside application main function use __try, __except block.

How to get the one attribute value in another attribute getter method

Check if both the attributes are under the same context node.
If so directly call the getter method of the other attribute here like this:
lv_customer_type = me->get_customer_type( attribute_path = 'STRUCT.CUSTOMER_TYPE' ).
If it is under a different context node,check if it is available from some relation, if so
    lr_agr_rel = current->get_related_entity( iv_relation_name = 'TpmAgrre'l ).
     CALL METHOD lr_agr_rel->if_bol_bo_property_access~get_property_as_value
        EXPORTING
          iv_attr_name = 'EXTERNAL_ID'
        IMPORTING
          ev_result    = lv_cust_plan_id.

How to get Exception detail

Hi,
I have attached Catch all activity to my process. Inside process calling database procedure that throws no data found exception. I want to capture in catchAll fault.
I tried ora:getFaultAsString and ora:getFultName xpath function.
But first one result whole exception as node string. so can not se real exception message.
second one generates exception can not parse xpath query FOTY0001.
I tried to do expression ora:getFaultName() to simple type variable of QName.
My requirement is just get exception whatever my process is throwing in catchall block.
Any suggestion?

I don't think I have done anything different
I had 10.1.3.1 version which had the bug
The bug was 5841736(CANNOT GET THE DETAIL MESSAGE OF RUNTIME FAULT IN 'SUMMARY' AND 'DETAIL' PART WITH ora:getFaultAsString EXPRESSION)
The SOA 10.1.3.3 patch set 3 ( as it reads) has this bug fixed.So I installed this verison over the current oracle_home and the problem got solved :)

Hi, it seems this errors comes from the fact that the asm wasn't registred in the cluster.
so you have ti recreate the asm instance and register this instance in the cluster.
srvctl add asm -p $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init$+ASM.ora
srvctl config asm
