Attribute not visible in Query Designer

hi BI Gurus,
I could not see some InfoObjects(Attributes) which are marked Authorization Relevant, in the query designer. And the strange thing is, they are not visible even for the user with SAP_ALL and 0BI_ALL assigned. The authorizations for the cube in which the main char is used looks fine.
I have checked all the options in RSECADMIN, everything looks good.
pls help me in finding the solution..

check out with the info object screen in attribute tab, navigational attribute on/0f switch box, if u r using FF source system.
check out with the infocube whether u r checked the check boxes in navigational attribute tab.

Hello,
I have 4 variables created for an InfoObject. But for one of my query written on Infoset, under that InfoObject in query designer it only shows me 2 variables.
Any ideas what is causing the other 2 variables not to be visible?

Key Figure Attribute not displaying in Query Designer

Hello Experts,
I have an InfoObject which has Key Figures as attributes. When creating a query I once was able to see these Key Figure attributes in the Query Designer. Howerver, recently I am not able to see them anymore in our DEV environment.
In our QA and PROD environment I am to see these Key Figures attribues in Query Designer. Is there a setting that I am overlooking? We are currently on BW 3.5 with SP 19.

New key figures in multiprovider not visible in query designer

Dear Experts,
I added a cube and keyfigures to the multiprovider definition.
The multiprovider is activated successfully.
The added keyfigures come only from this new cube.
I identified these new keyfigures to this new cube only.
There is an existing query based on old version of the multiprovider without the new cube.
When i relaunch query designer and re-open this query, i could not see the new keyfigures.
When i create a new query, also its not showing the new keyfigures.
Is there something not refreshed that I do not see these new key figures?

Hi,
Some time it happens that newly added key figures and characteristics are not visible immediately in Bex query designer. Just check for warnings if any encountered while activating else try editing and re activating your Multiprovider and also proper field assignment.
Newly added Key Figures should be visible in both New and Old queries without any differentiation. Just log off and log in back after some time, there is a good possibility that this inconsistency would be resolved.

Navigational Attributes Not Available in Query Designer

I don't see navigational attributes under Dimensions/DimensionA in Query Designer. Is there a switch to enable/disable nav attr. in BW?

Yes you need to switch on Navigational charateristics at DSO/CUBE and then add them to MultiProvider Dimension and assign then assign the fields.

Hierarchy not visible in Query designer

Hello Experts.
I am trying to create a query in BW 3.5 but I ran into one issue. I created a hierarchy for an Infoobject. But I am not able see this Hierarchy for the Infoobject in BW 3.5 Query designer although I can see it in BI 7.0 Query designer.
Any help in this regards will be appreciated and points will be assigned.

Check if you have made the "hierarchy" Active in your BW 3.5 query and also chosen the hierarchy correctly.
Right click on the characteristic----
> properties.

BC installed BEx Variables are not visible in Query Designer

I have installed SAP Exit BEx Varibales from Business Content (0P_KEYDT, 0P_KEYD2 and 0P_KEYD3)
sucessfully.
But when I am not able to see these variables in the Query Desginer ( Need to restirct these on Net Due Date, Posting Date).
Please advise me on this.

Are you sure you have the characteristics on which these variables are defined y SAP are in your data target?
Pl check this out. Alsso, sometimes, if you log out and get back, it may help.

KeyFigure from MultiCube not visible in Query Designer

Hello,
I'm facing a strange issue. I added a new Key Figure to a MultiProvider. All identifications have been done and MP is active.
However, when I try to create a new query on top of this MultiProvider or change an existing query , I cannot see the new KeyFigure in the list of Key Figures.
Has anyone any idea how this can happen and what can be done to get this resolved?
I haven't ........

Just resolved it by simply doing a re-activation of the MP (even if it already was active ????).

Mapped characteristics in Multiprovider not available in Query Designer

Hi,
we have a multiprovider with approx 10 cubes and lot of characteristics, Navigational attributes mapped to it. I have added around 3 more characteristics and mapped to underlying cubes. But these added characteristics are not visible in Query designer. Is there maximum limit for the number of characteristics.

Disconnecting the BEx made it work. But i dont understand i added this yesterday in the multiprovider. But i also removed some navigational attributes from the mapping. I will re-map and check. Thanks for the tip.

Infoobject in infoset but not displaying in query designer

I have created a query on infoset(ods1 & ods2).
a custum defined infoobject (fiscyr) is not displaying in query designer while it is present in infoset.
pls give your inputs,for why this infoobject is not available in query designer.

Hi Radika,
I cannot think of anything other than the solutions already mentioned in this thread (checking the IOBJ in infoset, running RSISET and activating it). I just had a foolish idea that you might not be looking for the right IOBJ. All the IOBJs from an infoset are not displayed with their original technical names in the query designer. They are disdplayed in the format: <infoset_technical_name>_FXXXXX where XXXXX is a number.
Also try one more thing. Go to transaction RSISET and type in the technical name of the infoset there.
Right below the box where you type the Infoset name is a check button. Check your Infoset there and then activate it from within the RSISET transaction (the activate button is right after the check button). With Infosets, sometimes just activating it from within RSA1 does not work but RSISET always seems to work.
Do this and see if it helps.

Hierarchy node not available in Query Designer

I can find the hierarchy node variable in BW but it is not available in query designer. Does anyone know what might be the problem and a solution?

How did you find the hierarchy node variable in BW? From backend SAPGUI, you will only be able to see the variable in some internal tables like RSZGLOBV. Did you mean this?
For "it is not available in query designer", do you means that when you want to create a hierarchy node variable for this characteristic in Query Designer, you don't find this certain hierarchy node variable in the hierarchy node variable list?
Important thing to notice is that, flat value variables and hierarchy node variables are listed separately. Did you make sure that you have chose to list hierarchy node variables in Query Designer?

Hi Anita,
As you stated earlier that some users are able to see it and some are not then it surely is a Authorization/Profile issue. Speak to the BASIS/person who manages this to resolve the issue.

Keyfigure display attribute not visible in the report

Hi,
I am facing a problem. I have keyfigures as display attributes in my master infoobject. Earlier I was able to see those display keyfigure attributes in my query and was able to use them in it. After that, few changes were done to the master infoobject (addition of few attributes and deletion of few - but none of them were what I was using). Now after the change, when I open the query in design mode, it gives me error saying that it can't access those attributes (only keyfigure display attributes) and repairs the query (removes those attributes). All the other attributes are visible.
I have already tried rsrv for the master infoobject (corrected the error) and rsrt for the query. After that also it doesn't solve the problem.
What could be the reason? Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

Hi,
Display keyfigure attributes are visible in the reports because I was using and running them in the reports before the change in that particular master infoobject. Only, keyfigures maintained as attributes can't be made navigational (hence can't be used for drilldown). Its only after the change, there is this error.
I had also checked the authorization for Keyfigure earlier, which I have. Therefore its not the problem.

Document Link Item Icon not visible at query execution

Dear Colleagues!
How can I acheive to have the comment-icon visible when I open a query with comments in BI Portal, as a default?
I have set som settings for the properties of the Query in Query Designer. As it is now I have marked for Document Links, Master Data and Info Provider Data, under presentation of the query as a whole.
Still, when I execute, I can not see any icons. But if I enter settings in the web, and mark for Document Settings for data, the icons appear.
I do not want the customer to have to do this settings each time they ececute a query from the portal. Rather I want the Document Link Icon to be visible by default. How can I get my settings in the query designer to be counting in fromt of the settings in the template?

I figured this one out myself. There is a setting in Web Application Designer, directly on the query in question. In properties for the query I tick of "Document Links Visible".

Global CKFs not visible in query

I created some Global CKFs for a query , but next time they are not visible under the Global CKFs column ,

Your concern is right . But for global CKFs should be available on left panel under Calculated Key Figures right? They are not even appearing there . But they are inside the system i checked them .
This is happening only for one cube . I wonder if there is any setting at cube level to display these global CKFs in query designer ??
Any idea?
