Hi Gurus ,
I would like to know how to delete a Marketing attribute & Attributes set in CRM system ,when i tried to delete i am getting following message " Attributes are in use deletion is not possible "
Is there any way to delete Marketing attributes in CRM system ?

Hi,
Depending on the issue you are facing maybe transaction CL6K will help you. With this you can delete an attribute from an attribute set even though more than 400 BPs are assigned to the attribute set. You can read more in oss note 772711

We have used CUSTOMER_MAIN and CUSTOMER_REL to download the customers and relationships into CRM system from ECC system. We downloaded the customers and relationships without any issues. The delta like if any partner function is added to the customer in ECC system those changes are flowing into CRM with out any issues but when some partner function is deleted in ECC those changes are not getting replicated in CRM system (if we delete any partner function for a customer in ECC the corresponding relationship is not getting deleted in CRM system). Please let me know your thoughts on this as i dont know whether it is a standard process or do we missing any?

hi sap gurus,
I want to understand how to update the marketing attributes in sap crm, basically I want the logic to update the marketing attributes in the system. which tables I should verify & then I need to write an abap program to update/modify the marketing attributes.I know the beginning validations, the bu_group =zul1-outlet master from but000 table , after that I am stuck up with the logic. I know the field which I need to update: in table cabnt, atinn field.

I saw the authorization field 'Edit' and 'Assign' in attribute set in CRM (i.e transaction : CRMD_PROF_TEMPL)

Pricing condition deletion in CRM

We're trying to delete pricing condition using CRMXIF_CONDITION_SEL_DELETE, but we are able to delete only a number of condition records at once.
I've read the documentation for this FM, but i still can't understand how to delete particulary one pricing condition from condition table.

0MATERIAL attributes deleted from the active version of the InfoObject.

Hello Experts ,
As per a Business requirement , I deleted some of the system defined attributes of the 0MATERIAL charecteristics , and found the new active version of 0MATERIAL is incompatible with the SID table , Attribute and text master data table. I tried to copy the original version of 0MATERIAL from the business content but the system is not allowing me to do so , instead it duplicated all the attribute fields twice in the 0Material and created 3 version of 0MATERIAL "active" , "revised" and "content".
Also one user defined attribute BW_MATN was created , and now wants to get rid of that.
I want to revert back the original master data field (attribute and text) and other technical settings of 0MATERIAL infoobject equivalent to that in Business Content, and should have ideally one active version of 0Material " during that process if I require to loose the current master data that is fine.
Kindly Advise how to achieve that .

You should have created a Z infoobject by the name ZMATERIAL by using 0MATERIAL as a template and then modified it (ZMATERIAL) .
Also if you find any attribute of an Infoobject is of no use then instead of deleting it just leave it as it is as SAP has provided it for some reason and you never know when you need them in future .
And yes you cannot install the business content version of 0material if there is data in the master data table .
By the way which version of BI are you working on ?
If you are on BI 7.0 SP 23 or higher (BW 7.3) then there are some new additional functionality added to delete the master data with ease .

Error message when deleting Business transaction: Activity in CRM

Hi All,
I am trying to delete a couple of Activities from CRM (Production system) and encounter two error message: "Enter a Business Partner" and "Administration header not found."
I have tried three ways to delete/archive the activity numbers in the system:
1) Using T code: CRMD_ORDER and then while in change mode - trying to delete the activities. When I tried this I get a warning message: "Enter a Business Partner" after I hit enter the warning: "Administration header not found." comes up and then takes you to the Easy access Menu after hitting enter.
2) I used T code SE38 to open program: "CRM_Order_Delete", here I entered the activity #s that I want to delete, the Activity Transaction type, select check box "Parallel" and then execute. I see a job log which says "Number of archived records = 3", the log shows that no records were deleted.
3) I have also tried archiving using T code SARA. But this also didn't seem to work. Here, I entered the Archiving object: CRM ACTON, then click on Preprocessing. I created a variant with the transaction type and activity numbers then set the start time to immediate and executed (F8) it. Even then I was not able to archive these activities. I did set the activities to status Complete.
Am I missing something? Appreciate your help.

Received response from SAP support partner:
Please verify first if the issue is caused by badi implementation
of ORDER_SAVE badi. Please check method prepare and check_before_save.
Maybe inside your implementation the function crm_order_read is called
but that is not possible in case of deleting a document as document is
not available anymore.
If that doesn't work try this one:
Please check to see if you have a badi ORDER_SAVE method
CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE. Please deactiviate the ORDER_SAVE Badi and retestthe deletion.
This is how we resovled our issue - hope this helps someone else:
Check using T Code: SE80 to look for a BADI implementation which used BADI: ORDER_SAVE:
SE80-> Package: Z* (look for custom packages) -> Look under enhancements for any BADI Implementations which have used ORDER_SAVE (double click implementation and in the right pane look under Definition name).
Click 'Change' and deactivate this implementaiton. Now try to delete the CRM transaction. The error msg should not pop up now. Once deletion is completed reactivate this implementation.
This is just a work around. The problem lies in the code and the code within the implementation should be debugged and fixed so that this error message does not come up again.

CRM line item status not updated when delivery is deleted in ECC

Hi All,
When order is created in CRM it gets replicated to ECC.When delivery is created in ECC, the System Status in CRM at the line item level is changed to completed and also Delivery completed status is created in CRm..
Now when we delete the delivery, the Delivery completed status is deleted in CRM but the Completed status is not changed to In Process.It remains as Completed.This used to work fine before we applied support packs last weekend.We are currently at support pack level 10 for CRM.

Engineer to Relational Model: deleted attributes / undeleted columns

I am using Datamodeler 3.3.0.744.
I'm modifying an existing logical model: I'm deleting one or more attributes in an Entity.
Then I'm executing "Engineer to Relational Model" in oder to get an up to date Relational Model (it existed already).
The corresponding columns are not deleted in the Relational Model, even though attributes don't exist anymore at the logical level.
I can't find any option available in order to do that...
In the previous release (3.1), it worked fine, I could choose the behavior related to the deleted attributes (deleting or not deleting corresponding columns).

When your forward engineer for a 2nd time you should see a dialog that has the logical on the left and the relational on the right. Entities that are new or changes have an exclamation point next to them. If you open that you will eventually drill down to see the attribute/columns. Where your dropped an attribute it will say "To drop". The check box is unchecked by default. If you check it then when you forward engineer those should get dropped from the associated table.
Is it not working that way in 3.3?

Deleting address usage not replicating in CRM

Hello Friends,
Below is the code to replicate the problem i have in my system. This report will check if the BP in processing has address usage of type 0003 which is Forwarding address in our system, then delete it and assign the standard address of BP as forwarding address usage 0003.
The problem is when performing deletion the CRM system is not updated correctly. BDOC created doesnot deletes the entry in CRM.
Note :- You must change BP data in BP screen. This report runs in R/3.
Steps:-
1. Create a new BP.
2. Run program.
2.1 Add two addresses to BP.
3. Assign the non-standard as forwarding address or any other address
usage you will put in the code. " lt_add-ADDRESSTYPE = '0003'.
4. save it.
This will trigger BDOC's to update CRM system. After the run you can see
the difference between the BP address usage in two systems.
Please advise what can be done?

Thanx for your reply. The return is empty. All the changes are carried out perfectly except the updates in CRM. and only when the program does the deletion of the address usage, the BODC to CRM doesnot delete the address. It seems middleware buffering issue to me but not sure.
Did you try to run this report and reproduce the problem in your system?

If you just want to delete the page attributes,you can delete the line from your tab page attributes .
You can click on the attribute on the page attribute tab and you will get the list of where it is used and you can delete it from there manually.
As for searching is concerned,you can use Google itself to search SDN .
In your search on google.com use
"Page attributes delete" site:sdn.sap.com
