ATV disconnect during viewing of TV shows on iTunes

Why is my ATV disconnecting from iTunes and requesting confirmation of my iTunes acccount id? It is being run independently of my mac (not through home sharing) and is getting on the net via a Airport Extreme using 802.11g. It has worked fine for months and now does this disconnect bit like three times a week. I now have to reset or restore depending on whether I can get Apple to acknowledge the abiltiy to download the latest software update. But then I have to reset all my Netflix information. This is a real pain. Not a nice "user experience". Any suggestions.

How do I do that? I am in My TV Shows, in the spread-sheet type display. So, now how do I make one of these “playlists,” and where would it appear? Are there directions for this anywhere?
It seems that playlists are supposed to be made using tiny controls in the lower left corner of the iTunes window. But those controls only show up for music, not for videos (including TV shows) — at least not in the latest version of iTunes. But maybe I am wrong, and there is a special trick (an undocumented technique). But actually, everything in iTunes is undocumented: there is no comprehensive manual.

No, i Cloud allows you to download, it does not allow viewing of video without downloading first.

HT1386 Upgraded to the latest iTunes (ver11) I have an iPod classic 30gig ver 1.3 Now I get iTunes not found, error 68 and 69 during sync. Diagnostics shows iPod, iTunes sees it but it won't sync and won't disconnect.

Since upgrading to version 11, my iPod will not sync properly. I get errors 68 and 69, iPod not found, no disc in drive, wrong volume in drive and iPod cannot be sync'd because I don't have enough access privledges. I have restored the iPod a bunch of times, reloaded iTunes twice and sacrifices a virtual virgin to a virtual god. Visited Genius Bar in Columbia, MD once and I have scheduled a second visit for this Friday, 1/4/13.
Is anyone else having these problems?

ATV - After 2.1 upgrade, no show in iTunes

everything worked fine, and then i did the upgrade and now AppleTV no longer shows up in my iTunes. I did everything except factory reset, to no avail

Check the network settings in the ATV and make sure it's actually connected to the network. If it is, note its network IP address and see if you can ping it from your computer. If you can, that means the network connection between it and your computer is OK.
If the connection is OK and it still doesn't show, go to the Computers section of the Settings menu in the ATV and see if your iTunes library is listed. If it isn't, it could be a Windows/iTunes thing, in which case you might want to either re-install iTunes or re-authorize iTunes in the ATV Computer settings menu (which might cause it to sync again from scratch).

How do i view purchased TV shows in Itunes on my IPad?

I've downloaded several seasons but when I select an episode to watch in my "purchased" tab it only gives me the option to preview the episode? I've confirmed that the full episodes have been downloaded. Now what?

iTunes on the iPad is a link to the store only.
It is used to buy media.
To listen to music or audio(podcasts, audiobooks) go to the music app.
For movies, tv shows or music videos you use the videos app.

Can I view a TV show from my PC iTunes to MacBook with sharing via iTunes?

My iPad was disconnected during upgrade. I've tried restoring and resetting. I just did an iPad erase in "find my iphone" and it still shows the itunes logo and the fire-wire cable on the screen with an arrow. It's currently plugged into my computer.

Presenter View During Live Events In Show and Share

Hi,
I am a bit confused about the user authorisation during live events of Show and Share. There is a user who is creating the event and publishing it. I think this user should be the moderator. He can see the questions tab and check the questions coming from the other participants and send them to the presenter view tab.
I have found some information about the moderator and presenter in the user guide for show and share but I could not find out which user can be a presenter, or are the presenter and the moderator the same user or not.
Below is from user guide:
The live event moderator pre-screens these incoming questions and comments as they arrive. Moderators can:
• Move any high-priority questions to the Presenter’s View tab. • Move any low-priority questions to the Removed Questions tab, either manually or automatically by keyword. • Use keyword filters to see and manage only the messages that match those keywords.
. The presenter then responds to any number of these pre-screened questions and comments. (These are messages that the moderator moved to the Presenter’s View tab.)
From the above information, it seems that there are seperate presenter and moderator, but is there a way to assign a user other than moderator only the presenter rights?

Great question, Ken! I too would like to know if there is a way to transfer video content management to an other author. In the case that a user publishes content and later leaves the company, retaining control of the published material is a requirement.

Apple TV disconnected during streaming and now I can no longer access the AT menu.

Our Apple TV3 suddenly disconnected during playback of a TV episode purchased from iTunes. I downloaded this episode onto our Mac OSX 10.8.5. earlier this year. We had watched it before with no problem, but tonight it quit midway through and we received the message that "Apple TV cannot connect with iTunes". I checked and found that Home Sharing was still on, but since I had this problem once before, I turned Home Sharing off in iTunes and the turned it back on, signing in as required. Despite several attempts, we could not get the program to restart. Then we got the message that "Apple TV cannot sign in to iTunes". We tried to reset Apple TV but now we cannot connect to the menu. I pressed the menu button on the remote several times but got nothing. The remote battery is relatively new and we haven't used the ATV much since then. All the ATV software is up-to-date and we have the most recent version of iTunes. Any help getting the menu to appear would be appreciated as well as any help getting the program to play. Thanks.

I understand that you are unable to access your Home Sharing library on your Apple TV after it disconnected while watching purchased TV episode. The first troubleshooting step that I would recommend, that you may not have yet completed, in this situation would be to restart the Apple TV. Please let me know if the issue continues after restarting your Apple TV.
How to restart your Apple TV - Apple Support
If you can't restart your Apple TV because it's unresponsive, try the following:
Hold down Menu and Down on the Apple Remote for six seconds, and then release when you see the indicator light on the Apple TV blink rapidly.
Unplug the Apple TV power cord for three seconds, and then plug it back in.

We are getting a strange error
"ERROR",CNS-9107,"07/17/2006 12:03:40","Network disconnected during sync. "
while synchronizing our Oracle Lite PocketPC application with Mobile Server. This only seems to be happening when we are uploading inspections with photo data, have anyone else experienced this problem?

During the 'Sending' phase from the client, a packed binary file (created by the composing phase) is being uploaded to the server, where it is then unpacked and the data put into the in queues.
During 'recieving' the server is creating a packed binary download file from two main sources - the out queue data for the user, and real time queries for any complete refresh items.
Have you set trace logs to SYNC for an example user? This should tell you whether or not the read of the out queues or complete refresh queries are at fault (you should see a list of publication items, and then the trace for each one in turn as it is processed). If the log shows that it is stopping on one publication item (normally a complete refresh), particularly where you have a long download time, then the query may be timing out.
If the sync log shows that all PI's have been processed successfully, then the problem is probably related to the send of the packed binary file. Have a look at the sync history for the user, in terms of record and byte count downloaded - is this excessive? Publication items containing BLOB columns (like images) set to complete refresh could be very large
On the client you should find a file(s) <USERNAME>olres.bin and/or <USERNAME>_olres.bin If you find them, the download at least started. When you say that the user cannot re-sync, do you mean that they get the same error reported? if so try deleting these files and see what happens (a server side error will be within the download file so will not go away until you kill the failed download files), if you still get the error quickly after removing the files, something has broken the activesync connection. If re-cradling the Pocket PC device to re-establish the connection works, then the problem is definitely in the activesync set up.. If it does not, is there anything in your network software that is restricting file downloads or packets?

IPhone disconnects during synching

Out of the blue, my iPhone disconnects during synching. Each time is happens during the synch with contacts.
(I did add new contacts this morning. But I assume that my phone should support adding new contacts??)
Note: The error message says that the iPhone has disconnected, but it is still showing as being docked under 'Devices' in iTunes.

My Viewing area only shows one photo at a time now :(

Yesterday I noticed that my viewing area only shows one photo at a time. It used to display thumbnails of all the photos in the selected event - or library. Now, I'm forced to scroll down and view them one at a time or go into edit mode to see some thumbnails across the top of the screen.
Did I accidently do this? Was it part of an OS update? (I've been away for a month and just don't think I did anything to cause a change...) Can anyone tell me how to view all the thumbnails in the viewing area again?
I'm using iphoto 08 version 7.1.5 (378)
