ATV does not streaming over my internet-connection via cable-model but very fine over my umts-modem. Whats the Problem?

Hello Community! At first sorry for my not perfectly english.
I dont understand this issue. I've a ATV2 and have no problems to stream videos from youtube or videos from my macbook. But if i want to rent a film from the itunes-store i get a message that die film ist ready in many hours (3 to 5) but this status is never changing - i've been waiting for 2 days an the message is the same.
When i connect the ATV whit my 3G-Huawei-UMTS-Modem it takes only a few seconds and the film starts.
My internetconnection by cablemodem ist very well - i've 13 Mbit down and 512 kbit up ... ist's many more than the UMTS-modem ...
I'm searching in the internet for any requirements, that ATV want's to have ... nothing. I want to ask my ISP but he have the chance for the simple answer ... well, the internet is working, it must be a problem whith die ATV or the Itunes-store ... and what's my counterattak?
Please, if anybody have a idea or any tip ... i'm very thankfull.

The Ethernet cable from the modem should be connected to the AirPort's WAN (circle of dots) port and a second Ethernet cable should be connected between the AirPort's LAN (opposing arrows) port and the Ethernet port on the Apple TV. Is this the case?
If so, what is the make & model of the modem that the AirPort is connected to. Also what is the exact model of both the AirPort and the Apple TV?

I have a Nokia C65, and, to this day, I am not sure what operating system does it use, how do I check?
What worries more than this is that I have configured different connections including a WAP connection - provided by my telecommunications operator - Go plc, and, a number of WLAN connections configured so that when I am at the hospital, at home, at work - usually sitting on the loo , and, at a few places where WiFi is available - I can browse, check my email and keep on working.
The problem is that I receive bills from my mobile phone operator who would have deducted data roaming charges to my account, and, I am not sure how to control the connection that the mobile phone is using when browsing the Internet. Sometimes I am prompted, but lately I am not. However, the Internet connection setting reads 'Ask first'.
Does this issue happen to anyone else, or is it just me who is weird?
By the way any idea where do I download an application which takes screenshots from my mobile phone?
Is there a PC emulator for Nokia C65?

Same response to you.. test by ethernet if you haven't already.. and your arrangement is not too difficult.
I am guessing you got into the TC to set it up? How?
If the computer does not receive the correct gateway and dns address you will be able to get access to the TC but not the internet. Check the network settings. Compare what you get when connected via the Netgear which is working with the TC which is not working.
You might be able to get around it by manually setting IP address.
Please make sure you have cable modem plugged into WAN port.. Apple's label is not exactly clear. but the WAN port is slightly separate from the others. And has a different symbol.
I also bet you have Lion on the computer.

All websites does not load, even though internet connection is available.

I am currently experiencing a problem in using my browser. Nothing appears in the browser window or the page does not load even if I typed the website address (and any website address for that matter). And we do have an active internet connection. First of all, your Firefox version isn't the latest one (current version is 3.6.3), so a good thing to try would be getting the latest version from [http://www.getfirefox.com/ GetFirefox.com] and install that, replacing your current version 3.5.9. Here I assume that you have another working browser from which you can download the file.
This may not solve the problem (...but then again, it just might).
If it makes no difference, we have some excellent guides to help identify and solve the problem.
[[Error loading web sites]] is the best starting point and links to most of the other problem solving articles - please start out here and see if any of the articles can help you fix it.
[[Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can]] is one of the more likely problem crunching articles from your description.

I have tried a different USB to no avail. Both cables work on my old Dell so I don't believe they are the issue.
I uninstalled iTunes as directed by Apple Support and reinstalled. Apparently, Apple Mobile Device Support is not loading with it because it does not show up in programs.

Does the iOS device connect to other networks?
Does the iOS device see the network?
Any error messages?
Do other devices now connect?
Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on your router
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
- Wi-Fi: Unable to connect to an 802.11n Wi-Fi network
- iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem and it does not connect to any networks make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

We have created a new website and are hosting the website on the Shaw server. The address is generically www.members.shaw.ca/member/directory.
We created a website address for our association by registering our domain address - something like www.associationXYZ.ca
The domain registration folks have redirected our domain address to the hosting location address.
The favicon can be seen under Tools->Page Info->Media but does not appear beside the bookmark entry?

The redirect address is www.northsaanichresidentsassociation.ca
From other info on this subject the problem may be related to the type of redirection and/or missing script to handle the redirection.

I have a Mac mini and I just installed the Yosemite upgrade system and since then I can't connect to the internet anymore. I was using my computer also as a router for my home, abd after the upgrade my computer can't connect to the internet. It appears as it is connected to ethernet but no page can be load, and it appears the message that: this page cannot be displayed as the computer is offline. Why?? what means is offline?? And I also put the internet cable to my laptop and I share the internet, to see if it sees the wifi and the mac mini connected to the wifi but still can't connect to the internet, showing the same message as above.
So far I didn't see other problems with the new upgrads, I like the new look, but I believe is moving a bit slower and it takes too much to launch after I restart it.
My question is should I go back to Mavericks or anyone can help me with my problem?? I did reinstall 2 times the system
already and I check in disk utility couple of times...same problem, no Internet...or better say, "my computer is offline", as it says in safari window.
I really need help pleeeeeeease as I work from home and all my work is on that Mac Mini!!! And I need to downgrade to Mavericks can u please tell me how
to?!!

Hi,
You need to sign in when using Photoshop Elements 12 as it is the method of activation. If you sign out it deactivates that installation.

Apple TV syncs but does not stream- Article: TS1447 not helpful

My content does not stream from my Mirror Door computer. I have read the article listed above but System Preferences, Sharing does not offer the firewall setup posted, even though it was posted December 08.
When I first set this up it worked fine now it syncs and does not stream. I have hard rebooted the Apple TV, I have disconnected it from my current iTunes and then went through the process of re-associating it with my iTunes. All are most recent versions. Everything works fine except for the portion of streaming from my computer. I have not a clue! Any ideas? Is there a preference file I should delete?

Once you have entered the passcode from the Apple TV on your Mac or PC to establish a syncing or streaming connection, the sync or steam of content may not work.

This can result from a firewall being enabled on your Mac or PC. If you have a firewall enabled, please make the following adjustments:
On a PC
Make sure the firewall is configured to allow TCP connections on port 3689. This will allow the transfer of content for syncing and or streaming to your Apple TV. If you use Windows Firewall, see "iTunes for Windows: Music Sharing With Windows Internet Connection Firewall " for detailed steps. If you use other firewall software, check the documentation for that software on how to open port 3689.
On a Mac
Open the Sharing System Preference (choose Apple > System Preferences and then choose View > Sharing).
Click on Firewall.
In the "Allow" field make sure the "iTunes Music Sharing" check box is checked. This will allow the transfer of content for syncing and or streaming to your Apple TV.
If you use other firewall or internet protection software, check the documentation for that software on how to open TCP connections on port 3689.
Note: If you use "fast user switching" on a Mac with firewall enabled you'll need to enable additional ports to allow streaming to Apple TV. If you don't, only the first user will be able to stream to Apple TV. For one additional user enable TCP port 49152. For each additional user, open the next incremental port (49153 for three users, 49154 for four users, 49155 for five users, etc.).
Follow these steps to add the necessary ports:
From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
From the View menu, choose Sharing.
Click the Firewall tab.
Click New.
From the Port Name pop-up menu, choose Other.
In the TCP Port Number(s) field, type in:
491452, 49153
This example allows for a total of three users. If you need more, enter the additional number(s) as described in the note above. If you need fewer, just enter the first number.
In the Description field type in: Extra Apple TV streams
Click OK.

Click on the greyed out library and a dialogue telling you the library is unavailable will appear with an option to disconnect, I haven't actually tried this since if it does what I think it does it will delete my registration.
You may want to try the 'change library' option I mentioned before for the synced library, it may avoid you having to resync everything over.
Sync and stream are initiated from different ends, streaming doesn't work because you have changed your libraries and the tv no longer recognises them. I assume you moved your libraries over to your new mac, when you sync from itunes it uses the info from before you moved it and of course the tv is still the same tv so itunes recognises it and it will sync.

ATV returns to home screen when Internet connectivity intermittently lost

I'm using Apple TV 2nd generation running software v4.4.2 over WiFi. I can watch about 3-4 minutes of video, or browse the Movies menu for about 3-4 minutes, before being thrown back to the home screen (missing the Movies menu) with an error message saying the Internet connection is lost. Then a couple of seconds later the Movies menu re-appears and eveything works fine for anoter 3-4 minutes. It makes the ATV unusable and it's infuriating. Any idea why:
- only the ATV complains about intermittent loss of Internet connectivity (my Mac and iPhone are on the same WiFi and never have any problem)?
- if there was loss of Internet connectivity for a few seconds, why doesn't ATV play from buffer, or even pause, instead of throwing me back to the main menu?
- eveything used to work fine before I upgraded to v4.4.2?
More importantly, what can be done to fix this?

Thanks for this. Downloaded istumbler and installed on OSX 10.7. It crashes.
It can't just be a network issue: I have no problem streaming audio and video to a Mac, PC or phone on the same WiFi. And if the ATV software was designed correctly, it should just buffer - not bomb out - in case of an intermittent network issue.

My iphone5 no longer shows up as a device on my computer when I plug it in to a USB port on my laptop. It does not appear in iTunes as connected, either.

Hi Why do you need to use a PC since iOS 7 you can download updates Apps everything Over wifi I have iPhone 5 s & 2 ipads in over a year I have never connected them to My Apple pc Try a wifi update If you have problems Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both Down until You see Apple Logo you will not last any data.
