ATV gen 1 no longer works. iStore missing and locally stored movies pause sporadically such that it is unusable.
I read somewhere else others are having similar issues but no fix was suggested. Any advice would help, thanks.
Last night it just started working again. Must be something Apple did, but did not notify anyone. Anyway, my problem is solved.

my daughters ipod 4th gen will no longer charge past 20% and will not connect to a pc in order to back everything up. the cable is working fine, otherwise it would not even charge to the 20%. i have tried the reset to not lose any data and no luck, home+power for 10-15 seconds. I really would like to not lose everything she has, again, because I can't back it up this time. I have tried charging via a wall outlet and PC and both charge fine, just only to 20%. I am using the cable that came with it so no aftermarket issues there. Please help so I don't have to reset everything again.
Because once it has charged enough to be powered on as soon as you turn it on it says battery is at 20% and will not charge anymore after that, it just runs for about 5-10 minutes before the battery dies again. The battery cycles discharge/recharge daily and its not on the charger at full charge for more than a couple hours and is never totally dead for more than a couple of hours.

My ringer is no longer working for text and email notifications. Only working for phone calls. I have gone through all the settings to see where something is off. Not finding anything. I have tried changing the tone and it just vibrates on everything.
Ok so I happened to figure it out while on the phone to apple support. Even though the guy was very nice, I think I knew more than him! He was explaining very basic resolution principles I played about. I had the second option in displays resolution. All I did was unplug the HDMI cable, click on 'best for display' then plugged the HDMI in and my resolution on the normal monitor changed to the normal blue, then went black momentarily and then changed to a strange resolution but another window appeared that said SONY BRAVIA HDMI at the top! Hey presto! Don't know why it didn't do it yesterday - I probably left the HDMI cable in or something! Oh well. Problem solved!

Since I upgraded to iTunes 11.01 the "Smart" playlists feature no longer works.
I can CREATE the list but, the songs that I have played don't accumulate in the list.
I haven't changed the steps that worked for me previous to the upgrade.
I have no idea how to fix this and can't find mention of anyone else having a similar problem.
Any suggestions?Click on a station and drag to the left. The playlists sidebar will open up. Drop on the playlist you want to add to.

The user profile my appleTV was synced on my computer to no longer works (corrupt). My Apple TV is still synced to that profile and all of my recent purchases are going to that username. Does anyone know how to get all of the purchased items back and to the new user (same computer)? I created a new user on my computer and moved the itunes folder to the desktop but never changed the path to which the apple synced to. Now I can only see old items I purchased before the user profile went bad. PLease help!
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Changing the library the Apple TV is synced with will delete all synced content from the Apple TV, but it won't delete purchased content.
You should be able to change the library, resync any content you want and transfer your purchases back to the new library. -
I upgraded to Firefox 4.0 and my "Hide Unvisited" add-on no longer works. is there a compatible replacement? This hides pages that have been bookmarked from appearing in the Awesome Bar since deleting or clearing cookies. I was hoping maybe there was an option for this in Firefox itself but I don't see one. Please help.

My Ipad did work on my wireless at home and works on other wireless but no longer at home. My IPhone works at home and others can use the wireless> Confused that it did work and now does not?

Additional things to try.
Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
On your iPad go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings and see if that enables you to connect.

The control click and external mouse right click no longer works when copying and pasting album art within itunes. Ex. Hit get info for one song to paste to the rest, copying the artwork wont work when it used to.

5.1 audio no longer works on Netflix and HBO Go
I've noticed recently that 5.1 audio no longer works on Netflix and HBO Go. Those are the only apps I really use, so I can't speak for any others. My receiver lights up all of the speaker lights that it normally would for 5.1 audio, but it displays "Stereo" and I'm only getting stereo sound from my speakers for anything I play from those sources. The receiver works as it is supposed to for all of my other A/V devices. I tried restarting and restoring, but the problem remains. I can't think of anything else to do.
@sean0826 -- this is why you don't use Java menus. Even javascript menus are a bad idea; you need to have a secondary menu system ANYTIME you have a menu system that requires a plugin or scripting to be active. NOT EVERYONE browses with that stuff on.
The only thing you can do for now is FTP to your site and add in static menus (like we did in the "old days" at the bottom of the page; or rip out the Java Menus and install static or CSS versions.
BTW where are you rmenus supposed to be. I have opera, safari, ff, and a few others. they all look the same. So if that's true, it's the plugin that's the problem, not safari.
In Opera Pogo.com works. java loads, the game is there. It does have some drawing issues but not surprised.
In Safair Pogo works fine. Just played a game of chess. -
My 1st Gen Apple TV remote worked fine yesterday and today acts like it is unpaired (amber flash when I hit a button). Is there a way to pair it or another remote now?
Thanks.A 5 GHz network cannot reach as far as a 2.4 GHz one, nor is it able to penetrate walls and the like anywhere near as well, it is not therefor always an ideal solution. It can help avoid interference from neighbouring networks but it may not avoid interference from other household appliances. You might want to try another wifi channel or even temporarily move the Apple TV closer to the AP for diagnostics.

ATV Gen 1 - Remote is working but the ATV isn't responding?
my remote for my ATV gen 01, is connecting with the ATV as the light responds on the front when i press a comand, but the ATV isnt responding and wont move accordingly though the menu...?? help..?
Your Apple TV may have become paired with another remote. Hold the remote close to and pointed at the Apple TV, hold down the menu and Rewind buttons together for 6 seconds or until you see a broken chain icon on screen.

FaceTime no longer working with Yosemite and IOS 8.1
I have used FaceTime flawlessly for some time with no issue.
After I upgraded to Yosemite on my MacBookAir and IOS8.1 on 5S and iPad air, I've had a problem connecting.
When I get a call, all the devices ring (as they should) but it will not connect on the first device I pick up on. It says connecting
but all the other devices keep ringing and finally it says I have a missed call. The connection does not happen. If I turn off
all devices except one, it will work...... do we have a bug here??Thank you for responding to my issue. I spent the better part of two hours trying to get this to work. Bluetooth is enabled on all devices. Each computer is set in Preferences/General to allow Handoff. All computers and iPhones are on the same WiFi network. I toggled all of the major settings off and on. Rebooted each of my computers several times. I finally conceded defeat. Then my daughter asked to have a try at it. She worked on the first MBP for about thirty minutes and informed me that she had gotten continuity to work. And indeed, on her MBP late 2012 she is able to use the continuity features in both directions between her computer and her iPhone 6. But it only works with Mail and Safari. I asked how she accomplished this feat. She said she turned off "everything" on her computer and iPhone (WiFi, Bluetooth, "Allow handoff" under Preferences/General) and then rebooted both the iPhone and the computer. She then turned everything back on. This worked for her. So we tried the same thing on my MBP and iPhone 6. Now continuity works partially. Email activity is mirrored on both the MBP and the iPhone regardless of which device initiates the continuity activity. But Safari activity on the computer is mirrored on the iPhone but not in the opposite direction. There is no continuity function for Pages in either direction. The telephone connectivity works fine on all of my devices– 3 MBPs, Mac Pro, iPad Air, 2nd gen iPad and 3rd gen iPad.

PCS no longer working with contacts and 6086
I have applied the latest release of PC Suite 6.84.10.3.
Previously the installed level was 6.83.14.1
The send/read/write message still doesn't work but hangs the Windows Explorer for a while (this hang didn't occur previously)
But now, the contact facility no longer works. It is no longer possible to edit a contact, to store it locally or to send it to the phone even a message says everything is OK
(translate it from french: The contact has been well recorded into the phone)
Folder browsing still works correctly, either the phone folder or the memory card folder
Need a fix or a way to install the previous version, at least for the contacts...

PhilI guess what I learned is that sometimes the best solution is to do nothing and wait for the problem to solve itself! Funny, this has never worked for me before.
WOT is now working for me but often for only the first few rows of images. That's cool that it is also working with bing images.
