ATV issue: 2 ATVs, Windows Vista 64bit, iTunes error messages,

little snippets of my situation, and i hope someone can make sense of it all...
i have an HP laptop dv71135 64-bit windows vista
a belkin n1 wireless router
2 ATV's in 2 different rooms
a very large iTunes library on and external 1.5 TB drive
my laptop and one of the ATV's are in my bedroom, wireless router is in the next room... should i run a long ethernet from the laptop to the router, and run a long ethernet from the ATV to the router? should i run the laptop wireless (connection's pretty good) and connect an ethernet between the laptop and the ATV in the bedroom?? should i run everything wirelessly?
right now i have my laptop on wireless, and an ethernet between laptop and the ATV. connection seems to be ok, except i am getting "this apple tv is not authorized" and i do have many purchases i would like to play on my apple tv. i have other issues i see a lot of people are having the "port 3689" issue as well but these are big ones. just trying to figure out the best way to hook up the ATV's with a wireless router. thank you!!

If it's easy enough to do, I'll pick a direct cable over wireless any day.

Uninstall your existing copy of iTunes. Delete any copies of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer files from your downloads areas for your web browsers and download a fresh copy of the iTunes installer from the Apple website:

(The current build of the 11.1.4.62 installer was changed a few days ago, which fixed the bulk of the reports of MSVCR80.dll/R6034/APSDaemon.exe/Error-7/AMDS-could-not-start trouble ... but the build number on the installer was not changed. So we're trying to make sure you do the reinstall using a "new good" 11.1.4.62 installer instead of an "old bad".)
Does the install with the new copy of the installer go through properly? If so, does that clear up the error message?

ITunes won't install on Windows Vista 64-bit : Error Message

I got my dad an iPod Mini for Christmas. I've been trying to install iTunes onto his computer so that he can download music and all that stuff on his own. It is not downloading for me. Quicktime downloads, but I get an error for iTunes.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong or how to fix it. iTunes has never been installed on his computer before. I'd really like to get this up and running soon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Issues starting Windows Update (Getting an Error message)

Hello, I have gotten a computer within the last 3 months and for that time everything was running fine. However, within the last day or two (after Windows installed an optional update) I have been having issues with opening "Windows Update". I
have googled the error message I am getting and most of the things are describing this same problem with windows media player, which I am not having the issue with. So far, I have tried clearing out my search history in the windows metro settings, cleaning
my registry, rebuilt my index, and doing an entire windows restore (which worked untill I re-installed the update) I am using Windows 8.1.

What happens is I search for windows update, click on it, then it does nothing then after a few minutes that error message pops up. Sometimes along with the windows update program, sometimes not. Often not, and then after a few good minutes a bunch of windows
update windows will pop up for each time I clicked it.
Lastly, I am also having a problem restarting my computer and I believe it may be tied to this issue it just stays at the restart screen for ever untill I manually hit the button to turn off the computer.
Do I need to do another system restore and this time don't install the update? Or, is there an easier fix to this problem?

Here's one way to find what is not working:

Then open a Notepad window and do a Ctrl-o Ctrl-v and Enter
Somehow I think the failure may have more to do with the program which "executes" the .settingcontent-ms file extension...

Just updated to iTunes 10.7 on Windows Vista 64bit and now when I try to connect to the iTunes store and just get "Uknown error has occured-42408" Please help!!!!!!!

LV8.5.1 Labview memory is full error message Windows Vista 64bit

I have a small application where the top level vi will no longer load into either LV8.5.1 or LV8.6 (see attachment) when using the project exployer. Anyone else have this problem?

ICloud wont work on Windows Vista 64bit

Hey there,
Ive been using iCloud with my iPhone 4, iPad and my MacBook Pro since it came out and it all works perfect.
Now I wanted it to run on my Windows Vista 64bit Desktop PC, to sync with Safari, Outlook etc.
My problem is: Everytime I start iCloud and confirm my username and password, iCloud is just shutting down saying "iCloud is no longer working" (in German: iCloud funktioniert nicht mehr)
I reinstalled it severall times and its always the same error...MobileMe has the same error by the way...Ive searched so long on the web and in other forums but no one had a clue...Hopefully you can help me!

Hmmm. No, not exactly, but close enough (for me). Sorrry, in my rush I klutz'd the response. First I had MicroSoft do a clean install of 64 bit Offfice on my 64 bit Vista, then I uninstalled MobileMe, and iCloud, then reinstalled iCloud in that order. Oh...and by the way ... this was on 2 of my Vista machines. My virgin Win 7 machine had no issues at all with 32 bit.
The salient point I (regretably) missed in my first reply was to clean up the all references to Outlook in the registry. The tech tought the problem was related to keys for a (long ago) trial version of Office; Tho that was speculation on his part.
One thing is clear: The Apple tech said MobileMe has been replaced by iCloud and to remove it!
In the process, I learned that each (4) MS tech's stated, "Outlook has no issues, the problem is with Apple." I had to force them to do a clean install ... after failing with 2 techs I took a harder stance - happy I did. One told me they are under pressure to keep their calls under 15 minutes. Uninstall/cleanup/reinstall took ~2 hours.

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista, loaded Itunes and transferred my Itunes Library to the new computer. The music files work fine but the music video files have a glitch. The video freezes intermitently while the audio continues to play smoothly. Help?

The article says that I should upgrade to the latest iTunes. I am on the latest iTunes version.
If you could read just a tiny little bit further, under the "Additional Information" section immediately after that, it says:
If you are still experiencing this issue when syncing, or have not installed Xcode 4 and get this alert:
Follow the troubleshooting steps in Mac OS X v10.5, v10.6: Resetting the SyncServices folder.
If the issue is still unresolved, follow steps in Sync Services: Advanced troubleshooting for contact and calendar syncing.
Have you tried those measures?

Windows Vista 64bit and Zen, Video Convertsion

We just updated out computer to one with Windows Vista 64bit.
Everything was fine until we tried to convert a .mov file to place it on the Zen. First it said we needed Quicktime ver 7 (which apparently the original video was created with). Tried to install that, to no avail. Turns out Quicktime 7 is not supported under Vista 64bit, according to Apple.
I then found on another message board of people having trouble running iTunes on Vista 64. Use the following link:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
You can then select the 64bit version of iTunes.
After the install the video conversion worked perfectly.

Can I run 64bit Vista in Bootcamp?
Yes. Both the computer and OS X are fully 64-bit compliant.
You can install a second video card that does not work with OS X but does work with Windows. Third-party video cards do not work with OS X because they do not have the EFI boot ROM required by OS X. They will, however, work when you boot into Windows. You do not need to convert the Mac Pro to a Windows-only machine which would seem a waste of perfectly good hardware and software.
You can install any SATA hard drive in the Mac Pro. There is no limitation with regard to size. Cache, however, is a feature of the drive and not the computer. Apple does not "qualify" drives for use with the computer.

Problems (bugs) with Project Explorer LV8.5.1 Windows Vista 64bit

I am using Windows Vista 64bit with all updates and service packs on an ASUS G1 dual core 4gig memory. After writing code for a while I find that I cannot execute my top level vi from the project explorer. I can run the vi from outside the project no problem. If I try to create a new project and load the vi into it the LV hangs and the windows task manager cannot kill either the vi or the new project explorer, I have to reboot the computer to recover. I have attached the vi.

Windows 7 64bit iTunes 11.1.4 Up Next Drag and Drop Problem

OS: Windows 7 64bit
iTunes version; 11.1.4
Problem: In the normal iTunes window dragging and dropping songs in the Up Next menu gives no real-time feedback of items being moved or the list being scrolled. If I attempt to drag and drop then the window updates itself as if it had scrolled, but I get no visual feedback during this process.
I can confirm that Up Next operates as expected while using the Mini Player (either reduced or expanded), but the main window does not.

Doublechecking. Do you still get that particular issue if you update to iTunes version 11.1.5.5.
