ATV not syncing all of movies

Just purchased new macbook 2 months ago and aTV; have installed all updates including new itunes update. Everything was working fine until yesterday turned on aTV and about 1/3 of movies in itunes not showing up in aTV and will not sync. Can't figure out why. All my movies are in the same format and were working great last week (syncing/streaming). I can add new movies to itunes and they will sync/stream just fine. I also click in itunes to create aTV movie on one movie that won't sync and it says it is allready in the aTV format. All my movies play in quicktime and itunes just fine. They all sync with ipod touch and play just fine.
Any help would be great.

could be a corrupted iTunes library file... (i.e. not the folder, but the text file that has all the info about the media in iTunes)
just to get it working.. sounds like you could just go to movies in iTunes do select all (Cmd + A)... press delete (when/if asked choose.. don't move to trash) and then select all your movies in the finder and drag them back into the iTunes window again... from what you've said this will likely work too.. might try deleting one and put it back and see if that works first.
or if you wanted to start from scratch... you could actually delete the iTunes library file (it's file in the iTunes folder that holds all the info about what is in iTunes).. remove all the content in iTunes go to movies, music etc and delete everything.. remember to choose not to move to trash. then add it all back (can just grab the containing folder (iTunes folder if that's where everything is) you can take the whole folder and drop it on the iTunes window don't need to select each file.. which would take forever) and you will have a fresh, iTunes Library file.
remember if you have things stored on different drives and you don't want them in the iTunes Folder press ctrl as you are dragging and they will not be copied into the iTunes library and just a reference to their location will be noted in the iTunes library.
[edit] to see the other checkbox just open up iTunes... click music or movies.. does't matter.. look at the list of any media an to the far left of the list are checkboxes... these turn off syncing to iPod and appleTV... maybe you just didn't notice them before? but just in any list of anything has this checkbox off to the far left of the list... there is a checkbox for each piece of media.

Apple TV not streaming all iTunes movies

I have been using ATV successfully now for about 8 months. In the last 60 days, ATV only recognizes about half of the new movies I add to iTunes. I use Handbrake in exactly the same way on each movie but when I stream my iTunes library to ATV, it only recognizes a portion of them.
Oddly, I can play all of the movies in iTunes, Quicktime and even my iPod.
This problem has been driving my nuts for 2 months now. any advice is greatly apprecaited.

I have a similar or the same problem... Rip all my movies with Handbrake Tv setting!
But I have different movies that doesn't stream at different days... And some days it works fine!
Here's a solution for you... When a movie doesn't stream (because it says that Apple Tv doesn't know the file) I start syncing the movie instead! But you don't have to sync the whole movie, just start it for some seconds... Then I try to start the movie again at the appleTV and now it works fine!!
Seems that it knows the file when you syncronising the movie but not always when you stream it?? Weard... Cause I can sync all my movies but from time to time I can't watch some movies that isn't on the harddrive on the ATV.. But try to sync it for a few seconds and then start it even if it isn't finnished syncing!!

ITunes not syncing all pictures

My iTunes will not sync all of my pictures from iPhoto. After every try I go and delete the iPod photo cache, but it still doesn't work. I'm trying to sink my MacBook with my iPhone 5 and my ipad mini, but neither work..

OK. Here's the fix. Haven't had any problems since I tried the following: 1. Use the temporary fix of deleting the com.apple.Aperture file.
2. Now re-start Aperture while holding Command + Option and select 're-build database'
3. Quit Aperture
4. Note that the progress indicator "Updating Previews for Sharing" appears before Aperture closes
5. Load Aperture
6. Load iTunes and connect iPad or iPhone (check for accurate library structure from Aperture)
7. Sync iPad or iPhone
8. Create a new folder in your Aperture library.
9. Move a couple of Albums to the new folder
10. Go to iTunes and click on the 'Photos' tab of the device sync options
11. Changes to Aperture library should update properly Let me know if this works for everyone else. I'm pretty sure it will. Seems that my library was corrupt, but rebuilding the library won't help unless the database (com.apple.Aperture) is deleted first.

Can not sync all photos in Aperture into Iphone 5

I can not sync all photos in Aperture into Iphone 5. It always can sync some photos into 5. Then finish and prompts: "itunes can not synchronize (other)thousands of projects, and see more information in itunes". That means most of my photos can not seen on Iphone 5, it seems just can't import to 5. Is that the problem of Iphone or the pictures in Aperture, or even just because lack of sufficient space?

IPod Classic not syncing all my songs from iTunes

Background: I've had my 160GB iPod classic for 5+ years and been using iTunes for close to ten years. I'm using Windows 7 on my PC and up until recently I've been updating both iTunes and iPod whenever updates are available. After the horrible experience of upgrading to iTunes 11 and trying for over a month to get used to working with all the annoying bugs and compromises in functionality that Apple stupidly introduced into what was once a really good piece of software, I decided a week ago to downgrade to version 10.7. I went thru all the necessary steps to make this downgrade work, eliminating the various error messages, etc, and it appears now that my earlier version of iTunes is fully functional.
But when I connected my iPod to sync new songs, I kept getting a message to scan and fix the disc on my iPod. I wasn't sure if I should do that so I ignored the prompt a few times. Then last night I decided to restore my iPod and start from scratch. The disc error message has gone away, but now it is not syncing all the songs it is supposed to.
Af far as I know there are no broken links and all the songs in my music library are located within iTunes, so that is not the issue. There may be some songs with the same title and artist but that appear on different albums, so those should not cause a problem. At this point I have too many songs to fit on my iPod so I have selected to sync only checked songs, and I have unchecked over 1000 songs in iTunes, so that when I connect the iPod, it doesn't tell me that there is not enough free space to sync the iPod, it just syncs the checked songs.
Before restoring my iPod, I had 14161 songs in iTunes, with 1105 of those songs unchecked so as not to sync them in the iPod. I did the math and that left 13056 songs that are checked, and that was how many songs showed up in the iPod after syncing it, with about 1GB of free space left on the iPod.
Now, after restoring my iPod, I get only 13009 songs showing up in the iPod, meaning 47 songs are missing (with exactly 1.4GB free space).
How can I troubleshoot this to find out what songs are missing and why, and then fix it? Is there an easy way to approach this daunting task? I am really fussy about my music library and am not the kind of casual user who just loads a bunch of stuff on my iPod and doesn't care if there are duplicates, broken links, missing songs. I manage my own library very assiduously each time I import new music and make sure it is tagged and filed correctly according to my own system. I want to fix this issue.
Could it be a problem with me using a newer version of the iPod updates with an older version of iTunes? And is there a way I can correct that, possibly downgrade the iPod software version I have now? Would it be worth the trouble to try restoring the iPod again, and if so, what precautions do I take to prevent the same thing happening again, where not all my songs get synced to the iPod.

5th Gen iPod Video not syncing all video podcasts

My 5th Gen iPod video is not syncing all of my video podcasts.
I did specify in the settings to sync all videos, but for some reason it only places 3 of each on the iPod. This is using the latest version of iTunes, OS X 10.4.8, and iPod up-to-date.
This did work fine with the previous version of iTunes and only seemed to happen since the "upgrade".
I've tried restoring the ipod - didn't work
Reinstalled iTunes - didn't work
Rebooted system - didn't work
Undocked/Redocked iPod - didn't work

Assuming you're running iTunes 7, connect the iPod and wait for it to appear in the iTunes source list. When it does, click on it, and click on the 'podcast' tab. Make sure it is set to sync all podcasts. Check the 'video' tab as well.
iTunes 7 included several new options for setting just how the iPod will update in iTunes. So, it's a good idea to go through them and make sure they're set exactly how you'd like them to be.

Itunes not syncing all files to ipod - permissions error

With the newest verison of itunes is not syncing all of my files to my ipod - this is so frustrating! I have taken itunes/quicktime completely off my dell and reloaded with the newest version of itunes/quicktime. Changed to manually managing my ipod files. Now I have 2 problems left - 1. 2 recently purchased audio books show up in my ipod file in itunes but do not show up on my ipod; 2 I can ony get 100 of 500 songs to load onto the ipod with a warning that I do not have permission for the rest.

Same problem here, same application versions. I'm trying to get them to sync to an iPhone but it doesn't actually sycnc. They play without issue in iTunes. I converted them from flac to Apple lossless using dbpoweramp.

First, be sure that you are logged into the same iCloud account on both devices.

Assuming you haven't taken up too much memory from apps to hold the 11 gigs of music...
After you plug in your iPhone, go to the music tab. Make sure you have it set to sync all music.
If apps/books/etc. leave you with less than 11 gig of space for you music, make playlists and sync those instead

Address Book Server will not sync all fields with iOS client

Hello,
I am getting really frustrated with my Mac Mini Server.
Apparently, the Address Book Server DOES NOT sync all fields.
Only standard vCard-fields seem to synced.
I have not successfully synced user-defined fields, such as an additional date.
Any ideas / infos on how to achieve this if this possible at all?

One thing: I posted the same question in the "Lion" (non-server) discussion - sorry for any confusion.
One thing I noticed:
All changes made on the server in the OS X Address Book are distributed to two iOS clients (iPod 4th Gen iOS4 iPhone 3GS iOS 4).
Any help is appreciated.

I just found out that after editing the newly distributed entry on an iOS4-Client, some fields on the server are deleted!

Captivate will not record ALL screen movements

I have been using Camtashia and recently move to another
company where they want to start using Captivate. I just bought
Captiveate and I am getting very aggrevated! Captivate will not
record all my movements with the mouse or when a screen changes. It
appears that everything is driven by an actual mouse click. Only
when I move my mouse around and then click will it actuall record
the "action".
Please tell me there is a way for Captivate to record all
mouse movements, keystrokes, changes in applications just as I see
it when I am actually doing the recording.
I dont need all this fancy highlighting and project wizards,
I just simply want Captivate to record EXACTLY what I do and see
while I am recording.
PLEASE HELP!

No doubt you are frustrated if you are expecting Captivate to
behave like Camtasia. Yes, both create similar output, but both
accomplish it in entirely different ways.
