ATV Not Syncing - Wireless N?

Not sure if it's any help, but I slowed my router from N to G and have managed to stabilise ATV and keep it connected and in sync.

I also thought that this was the case, but that is incorrect. Please see my previous post below:
I was having the same problem with an iPhone 4 and Windows XP. I finally fixed the issue! I read several posts over the past month telling me to make sure that both the PC and iPhone were on the same network. I thought that both were on the same network; however, I was using my "Guest network" to connect my iPhone to my Airport Base Station. In order for both devices to be on the same network, the first 3 numbers of both IP addresses must match. For example, if the PC's IP address is 199.167.1.X, the iPhone's IP address must be 199.167.1.Y. I signed onto my password-protected network from the phone just to see what IP address it would use. As soon as I logged on, my iPhone started to sync wirelessly. I don't know if this will work for anyone else, but I would suggest comparing the IP addresses of your PC and iPhone before doing anything else. For those posting that the PC and iPhone must be on the same Wireless network, my PC is hard-wired to the Airport Extreme and it still works!
My Setup:
iPhone 4 (running IOS 5.0.1)
Dell PC (running Windows XP SP3) (no wireless network card)
Airport Exteme Base Station (5th Generation & updated firmware)

ATV not syncing all of movies

Just purchased new macbook 2 months ago and aTV; have installed all updates including new itunes update. Everything was working fine until yesterday turned on aTV and about 1/3 of movies in itunes not showing up in aTV and will not sync. Can't figure out why. All my movies are in the same format and were working great last week (syncing/streaming). I can add new movies to itunes and they will sync/stream just fine. I also click in itunes to create aTV movie on one movie that won't sync and it says it is allready in the aTV format. All my movies play in quicktime and itunes just fine. They all sync with ipod touch and play just fine.
Any help would be great.

could be a corrupted iTunes library file... (i.e. not the folder, but the text file that has all the info about the media in iTunes)
just to get it working.. sounds like you could just go to movies in iTunes do select all (Cmd + A)... press delete (when/if asked choose.. don't move to trash) and then select all your movies in the finder and drag them back into the iTunes window again... from what you've said this will likely work too.. might try deleting one and put it back and see if that works first.
or if you wanted to start from scratch... you could actually delete the iTunes library file (it's file in the iTunes folder that holds all the info about what is in iTunes).. remove all the content in iTunes go to movies, music etc and delete everything.. remember to choose not to move to trash. then add it all back (can just grab the containing folder (iTunes folder if that's where everything is) you can take the whole folder and drop it on the iTunes window don't need to select each file.. which would take forever) and you will have a fresh, iTunes Library file.
remember if you have things stored on different drives and you don't want them in the iTunes Folder press ctrl as you are dragging and they will not be copied into the iTunes library and just a reference to their location will be noted in the iTunes library.
[edit] to see the other checkbox just open up iTunes... click music or movies.. does't matter.. look at the list of any media an to the far left of the list are checkboxes... these turn off syncing to iPod and appleTV... maybe you just didn't notice them before? but just in any list of anything has this checkbox off to the far left of the list... there is a checkbox for each piece of media.

ATV Not Syncing again.

I reported a similar problem earlier about syncing issues with Apple TV. This was eventually resolved by doing a clean reinstall (Combo version of OS 10.6.3). This worked well for about 2 weeks.
However the recent software upgrades of OSX 10.6.4, iTunes 9.2, Safari 5 and iPhone iOS4. All of which was carried out in that order. Has left a similar problem is that the ATV shows up in iTunes>Devices however when it tries to sync I get an error message, referring to "Firewall settings". It also gives a Port Reference 49152 which I think is associated with Fast User switching whatever that means.

The only other upgrade I carried out recently was to iGlasses for use in iChat but I cant confirm if the sync issue was affected by this.
Can anyone explain how to see and set the individual firewall port settings in OSX 10.6 as this seems to be on an application only basis?

I have done some further investigation. The Apple TV was obviously recognised by iTunes as it shows in >Devices. However it did not automatically start sync when recognised. When starting Sync from Button or by Menu it did not sync and I received the error report.
Despite being unable set Port settings in the Sharing>Firewall folder. I decided to delete and reselect only the Applications required.
This removed the AppleVNCserver set list in original question above.
My Firewall settings are now.
+Mode: Limit incoming connections to specific services and applications+
Services:
+Apple Remote Desktop: Allow all connections+
+File Sharing (AFP): Allow all connections+
+Printer Sharing: Allow all connections+
+Remote Login (SSH): Allow all connections+
Applications:

This has resolved the syncing issue for the time being. But I will monitor it for the next couple of days to ensure it is a permanent fix.

ATV not Sync'ing Photos

I have an ATV and I have been able to sync my music, movies and TV Shows with my iTunes on my PC. The photos also sync with my iTouch and iPhone but will not sync with my ATV. Any suggestions?

They all are .jpg's and are stored in My Pictures folder on my PC's HD. I have created the following hierarchy within My Pictures: My Pictures -> Year -> Month and then I have all the pictures for that month. I don't believe that any tags have been added to them that would cause any issues because they sync fine with my iTouch and iPhone. When I sync with my ATV and iTunes, iTunes just sits there for as long as I will let it trying to sync my photos with my ATV.

ATV Not Syncing Completely

The issue started last night. My ATV says its syncing in iTunes but none of the updates and recent additions to iTunes are showing up on the ATV. All of my old music, movies, tv shows and photos are available but that's it. It also shows ATV is syncing in the iTunes window for hours and hours...

I had a somewhat similar problem, except that it was with my streaming computer. (My syncing computer continued to work just fine because it was still running iTunes 9.)
After updating to iTunes 10, and after running fine for a couple of days, all of a sudden my "shared" lists were not reflecting anything more recent than April 2. So, I did the "disconnect" (as has been suggested as a cure). However, when I tried to reconnect, I could not get the ATV to show up under DEVICES in iTunes 10.

IPhone does not sync wirelessly with iTunes

When I launch iTunes my iPad syncs wirelessly but not my iPhone. I have a 5s running 8.02. Worked fine before iOS 8.

"Read" status of e-mail will not sync wirelessly between Lotus Notes and 8520??

HI,
This is my first post and I realize that this might not be the right area to post this question but my question did not seem to fit anywhere else.
I was recently issued a BB 8520 at my new company and we work in a Lotus Notes environment and I believe it is version 7.
This is not happening to anyone else that I know of in our company but when I read an e-mail in Lotus Notes from my desktop, wireless sync will not mark it read on my Blackberry. Also when I read an e-mail on my BB, it will not mark it read in Lotus Notes. However if I delete an e-mail in Lotus Notes, it will delete it from my BB via wireless sync. Finally, when my BB is attached to my desktop via USB, and I do a manual sync from Blackberry Desktop Manager, it will sync the "read" status of my e-mails between Lotus Notes and my BB.
So I guess my question is why are most sync functions working via wireless sync between my e-mail in Lotus Notes and my BB, but not the "read" status of an e-mail? And I know that it works for other users in our company so it's really bothering as it is a whipping to have check e-mails that are still marked as unread (in both Lotus Notes and my BB) when I have already read them.
Thank you and I would really appreciate any help or information that I could provide to our IT Admin at work to help him solve my problem.

ATV Not Syncing or Streaming Unchecked Items.....

I'm guessing that this just started since the latest software update, but maybe I'm just noticing it now.
I have tried the automatic sync and custom sync settings, but cannot get my unchecked items to appear on my ATV any more. They will not even stream when iTunes is open.
I am having NO other issues. I have an excellent connection. It syncs new content (checked of course). YouTube works great. No problems downloading HD rentals. Etc.
Any ideas? And yes, I have rebooted both my computer and ATV.

Huh? One of us is confused.
Think about it....if unchecked items will never show up on an Apple TV anyway, why do we need an option telling it not to show unchecked items?
And managing playlists over 30GB is far too difficult of a task. That's why iPods, in addition to playlists, give you the option to sync only checked items or all items checked or unchecked. Why shouldn't an ATV give us the same option?

ATV not syncing any movies

For reasons unknown, when I sync my ATV all goes well except my movies won't sync. If I use the tick box for selected movies, then tick the ones I want and choose "APPLY" all I get is a quick sync and no movies transfered. If I use the tick box for "ALL" and choose "APPLY", ATV syncs only one (and always the same) movie and none of the others. BTW, that one movie is not ticked on my list.
TV shows etc. all sync properly. I have Factory re–set the ATV twice, as well as re–installed the 2.0 firmware and restarted my iMac.
Also, because of the fac reset, I lost 2 rental movies that I had not watched yet. How do I get them back w/o paying again?

Contact iTunes store support and explain to them what happened. They may be willing to authorize you to download them again or give you credits that you can use to rent them again.
Also, I'm not sure what kind of movies you're having trouble syncing, but rental movies don't sync like other content does. You can use iTunes to move a rental movie between iTunes, an ATV or an iPod/iPhone, but a rental movie can only be on one device at a time, and you can't move it once you've started watching it (it may get deleted if you try).

Google calendar not syncing wirelessly

I'm on a bell 9780. I've had my email and calendar working perfectly until 1 month ago. Now my Google calendar won't wirelessly sync. I double checked my settings and it's setup correctly.
I've tried
1. soft reboot
2. hard reboot
3. spoke to bell tech support - they had me pull my battery & SIM, then reinsert, go into host routing table and reinitialize on the network as they resent the service books.
Nothing has worked. The only thing that changed 1 month ago is that I updated the RIM app world application
Bell has told me to contact RIM as they wrote the software
Any suggestions??

This is happening to me now as well, ever since I updated from OS 5 to OS 6.0.0.415. All the options for wireless sync are there but it just doesn't seem to work.
Do I need Google Sync installed? I thought that since the last BIS update this wasn't needed any longer.

Unwatched items not syncing with Apple TV (1st Gen)

Hopefully someone can help me?...
I have a 1st Gen Apple TV, Windows 7 64bit, and iTunes 11 (wishing I'd never upgraded now!)
I have it set up to Custom Sync (FILMS: Automatically include 'all unwatched' films with selected films. TV PROGRAMMES: Automatically include 'all unwatched' episodes of 'all programmes'. And not to sync anything else.)
Before, in version 10, if you made the slightest of changes (even marking something as watched then as unwatched) you could press the Apply or Sync button.
But now when I add a new Film or TV Show, or mark one as unwatched, I cannot sync it to my Apple TV.
iTunes marks it as New/Unwatched but the Apply button stays greyed out and I cannot Sync.
Any ideas welcome.

I have a similar problem. ATV1 (3.0.2), itunes 10, connected via wireless time machine (hardwired to router) + airport express wireless extender. ATV showing in itunes menu. All TV shows, movies, music etc showing on ATV (not sync'd) EXCEPT 4 episodes of one TV show that was purchased as a series on iTunes (not on the ATV).
I have also had the firewall error - intermittently.
Have rebooted iMac. Have factory reset ATV and re-set up. Tried just sync'ing the 4 episodes I want to watch. No luck. Tried marking episodes as watched. No luck. rebooted everything. Twice.
ATV1 accesses all other info on iTunes (music, movies etc).
Infuriating.
Any ideas?

Iphone won't sync wirelessly

I am using latest software in Mavericks and itunes and iphone 5. Iphone shows in itunes but iphone will not sync wirelessly. When I go to itunes and select iphone and then 'sync' it disappears from the devices column.
I have quiet itunes and opened it again, powered down router to avail.
Ideas welcome.
