ATV (white 160 gb) needs to sync images on every reboot
I have an white atv connected to my mac via itunes. I have created a smart image folder in iphoto which is the only folder the atv syncs when it comes to images.
Every time i reboot my mac and start itunes again it starts to sync all the images in that folder. Very anoying. Anyone know why?

I would guess that the Smart Photo list is constantly changing so each time you restart iTunes AppleTV needs to refresh the content which has changed.
You can set AppleTV up to Custom sync but not sure if that would help as the Smart list would be changing.
Another thought is that the AppleTV drive is full/nearly full so it tries to copy stuff over each time and manages to transfer slightly different numbers of photos but never the whole lot, so keeps retrying.

Help-Flash needs to be reinstalled after every reboot
I need a little bit of help and I'm hoping someone might have the solution to my problem. This has been going on for 2-3 weeks now. Flash installs and works perfectly fine. Then when I restart my computer and try to use a program that requires flash.. I get a white screen and it doesn't load anything, but if I look at my add-ons for my browser it does show up there. If I reinstall flash again, it works just fine until I restart my computer again. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling flash. That does nothing.
I have Windows 7 (64 bit) and I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser (right now it's ver 8.0)
I have tried searching online for people with a similar problem because usually I can find a solution to my problems, but this is a very frustrating one. I just can't find any topic that helps solve my problem. I'm tired of leaving my computer on and it's ridiculous to have to keep reinstalling. Please help.XxKellsxX wrote:

Kelihos is, or was a botnet. It was taken down by Microsoft a couple of months ago. See Microsoft brings Kelihos botnet to a halt If you had that on your system, then yours was one of a few thousand machines that distributed SPAM all over the world.
Can you download a security app at work? If so, download the free version of Malwarebytes and then rename it to something random. The setup file is called mbam-setup-1.51.2.1300.exe
But if your machine has been compromised, then hackers will have taken the precaution of ensuring that you cannot install it. By renaming it to say, xxkekksxx.exe for example, you have a better chance of being able to install and run it, assuming of course that your system has been compromised. To rename a file, click it once, hit F2 and then call it something else. Then copy it to a USB stick and finally drag it onto to your own machine from there. Run a full system scan and delete anything it finds.
The reason I say this is because usually, once a machine has been infected with one trojan, it downloads even more malware without the need for user intervention. As you can see from this Microsoft article regarding Kelihos there are hardly any outward signs that a machine has been infected.

My iTouch says it needs to sync but my computer won't let it sync because of my passcode.
My iPod stopped working for a bit. I tried it again 4 days later and it works but says I need to sync it (White usb cord pointing an arrow to the itunes sign). I'm trying to sync it but it won't sync becuase it says that there is an error (Itunes cannot work because it is locked with a passcode. You must first enter the passcode on the iPod before you can sync your device). I cannot sync the device becuase it keeps coming up with the screen saying I need to sync it first. I'm at an endless loop. Please Help!!!

I have an iphone 4 16 gb and got an ipod touch 64 gb because i needed more momory. i need to sycn everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th gen i just bought. i just downloaded the latest version of itunes as well. To be honest, the newest version of itunes is hard to use and not as user friendly in my opinion - or i may not know how to use it yet. Anyways, i tried to backup my iphone to itunes and then restore my new ipod from the backup of the iphone 4, but it only backed up phoyos, contacts, and two other things (games was not one of them). Then when I restored my ipod, that is all that downloaded onto the ipod as well. I would really appreciate if someone would be able to provide me with detailed instructions as to how to be able to download everything from my iphone 4 to my ipod touch 5th generation. Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

I loaded Win 7 on my laptop and hadn't loaded I tunes yet when I updated my phone to IOS 6. It needed to sync and had to factory reset. I have loaded I tunes, logged on yet still can't get my apps or music to load on my phone again? I have added the I tunes back-up to the folder on my newly loaded PC? Any suggestions before I go to the apple store and use the F word.
The same thing happened to my poor sister, and she is panicking because of all of her photos of her "daughter growing up" that will be lost. It seems that this has happened to several people already, and I REALLY hope that Apple figures this out so that it doesn't force all of these people to completely reset their devices. Best of luck to you, and I am bookmarking this and other similar discussions to monitor for other, more desirable solutions.

I need to sync my iPhone to new user id on the same mac. How do I keep my iPhone contacts and music library? I tried to sync and iTunes wanted to erase both.
When you say a new user ID, are you referring to your Apple ID that you use to make purchases in the iTunes Store, etc? Or are you talking about a new user account on the same Mac?

I have just purchased a new macbook and need to sync my iphone with itunes, i understand that you can only sync your phone with one itunes account. I do not want to wipe my iphone when syncing with this new itunes account. Any advice welcome
1) authorize iTunes on the new machine for your iTunes store account(s)
2) connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
3) sync the device
iTunes will wipe the iPhone but, since you transferred your purchases in the previous step, your content will be in your library and you can re-populate the iPhone with it. -
Help! I synced my iCal from my old iPhone to iCloud. It worked great. I've done this because I'm switching to a Samsung phone and need to sync my iCal to my Google calendar. In attempting to do so today, my iCal is empty. How can I retrieve my iCal info??

I think we may be talking about two different things. Thunderbolt is the new two way display port on Mac Book Pros and Apple displays.

In Lightroom 3 I am in Library mode in the Grid View and need to rearrange images, but it is not allowing me to move them.
I don't do a lot of dragging to custom arrange my images. But the custom order is right at the bottom of the list of sort orders on my computer.
Added later: But don't worry about the custom order. It doesn't make any difference on my system. Are you sure you are dragging the image itself, and not the border around the image? -

You can transfer iTunes content and photos from one computer only. When transferring iTunes content and photos from another computer, all iTunes content and photos transferred from a different computer will be erased from the iPhone first with a warning message provided beforehand indicating this will occur.
