ATV2: Aired date is incorrect

Hello, everyone.
I've come across a little puzzle that I have not been able to solve so I thought I would post here and see what we might be able to come up with. Also Apple's KB didn't really address the problem either.
I have several TV show episodes purchased from the iTunes Store that do not display the correct "aired" date on Apple TV2 and I can't find where in the file this date might be being pulled from. I Generally use MetaX and/or Subler to specify the original release date for the TV episode. And in all the files that show the incorrect date on the ATV2 the date is correct in the "release date" field in the file.
For example, one of the episodes is Star Trek: TOS "the man trap." The release date is specified as 1966-09-08 in the file, but on ATV2 the Aired date is 2002-10-15. Any suggestions to help me solve this little puzzle will be appreciated.
Regards,
Michael

Drag the iCal icon off the dock. Now go to applications folder and drag a new copy into the dock. That should fix it.

  • Aired Date - US date format only?

Is there a way of showing +Aired Date+ in a date format other than the US one?
US date formats are very confusing and catch you out if you are used to the eminently more sensible DD/MM/YYYY format.
This is particularly annoying when tagging content for the Apple TV with Meta X or Subler, as you have to remember to put the first to two parts of the date in backwards.
I've never understood the US date format as it doesn't flow properly - ie. smallest/bigger/biggest -(the US one is oddly bigger/smallest/biggest)!

United States (civilian vernacular: mm/dd/yy or mm/dd/yyyy; other formats, including dd Month yyyy and yyyy-mm-dd, are common or prescribed—particularly in military, academic, scientific, computing, industrial, or governmental contexts.)
I always find it interesting just how the US proscribe something as being a 'Standard' when what they really mean is that it is way the US does it. In the same way as English is referred to as 'International English' and American English is just called English by American corporations

When I open certain apps it says my device's date is incorrect. But on my calendar and general settings, it's all correct!

Try changing the date - doesn't matter to what - just change it - go back to the app and I assume that you will get the same message. Go back to the settings and change the date and time to automatic again and see if the apps will work after that. Turn location services on in the settings as well.

How is a "portion" of my home broadband used for others when I sign up to Telstra Air? My cable connection is often very slow (?), So I am assuming when you let others use it, it will be even slower!?
If you are allowing access to my home network to others once I sign up for Telstra Air what security do I have have?

Yes I have removed and reinstalled WMP.
I had good results with the PD6 application installed on the default path onto the C: drive with the one exception that if the application was launched by accident and the user data path was not available, the PD6 application would blow away my custom user path registry settings. Now that I know what they are I have made a .reg file to repair my registry to my desired user data paths.
Installing the application on the removable drive appeared to help prevent me from launching the application by accident and overwriting my registry with default user paths.
So which is the less of the two evils?
If the application directory is not available, windows media player still tries to launch the .msi for installing PD6.
If I install the application to the C: drive but the user data to the removable drive, launching the PD6 application without the user data drive will still corrupt my registry settings for a user data path.
Both these issues seem like a logical (if not easy) fix that should be done in the PD6 application and installation package. I mean really, cannot anyone tell me why windows media player is checking the PD6 application directory? Why in PD4 did we have an option control for setting the user data path from the PD4 application? Why is this option not in the PD6 application, just the installer?
I am given a choice during installation to move the user data to another non default location. Why else would this be provided if not to accommodate my kind of request to store the user data into an alternate location other than “My Document”. Certainly Palm is not trying to force the users on how to protect and store their personal data?

  • IPhoto 11 Faces and Dates are incorrect when synced to iPad/iPod

iPhoto 11, "Faces" and file creation dates appear to work perfectly when viewed within iPhoto 11 on my MacBook Pro. However, a few dozen Faces and creation dates appear incorrectly and out of chronological sequence when viewed on my iPad or iPod. I have rebuilt my iPhoto 11 library several times and re-synced to the iPad/iPod, but the problem persists. Anyone having the same issue or happen to know of a solution? Thanks in advance.

    iPhoto Version 9.5.1 (902.17)
It was moved to the library by being imported from an NTFS external hard drive, which has now been reformatted to Mac OS Extended (Case Sensitive, Journaled), the iPhoto library was originally located on the built in SSD drive, but is now located on an external hard drive, due to capacity limitations.
I am seeing the incorrect face orientations when I view the faces in the faces view of iPhoto, when I go onto a person, some are incorrect orientation.
But when I click on the files, they are correct.

They are also incorrect using photo screen savers.

Just a note, I had the same problem and resolved it by making
sure my cfsqltype in cfqueryparam is cf_sql_timestamp instead of
cf_sql_datetime (which is not a valid value).
Also, just a note that when working with a datetime value in
cfqueryparam, using cf_sql_date for cfsqltype will truncate the
    time to 00:00:00.

  • Video- Shows with air date info?

I just noticed MTV got added on to the Itunes Video Store. Shows like the Gauntlet and Punk'd. Anyways is there more information about these shows before you buy besides the description of that episode. I was looking for the original/first air date. If I was to purchase a show, it would be one I didnt see and was willing to watch on a trip/flight, etc. Air date for me is easier to some extent even though yes a description is useful as well.
Is it true that all new episodes appear on Itunes the day after the air date?
    Dell Inspiron   Windows XP

    Hi Jonathon
Air Video allows you to stream all media formats (avi etc) from your iMac via your iPad to Apple tv. Therefore there is no need to convert your movies to mp4 format so that can stream from iTunes to Apple tv.
Any thoughts on how to get Air Video to work or reconfigure Apple TV 2 to stream all video formats from iTunes and not just mp4??
    Cheers

  • Setting TV Show Air Date??? HOW???

I have not yet figured out how to enter TV shows air dates so it will show up on the apple tv. How does one enter it so it will look like iTunes purchased shows???
    Thanks in Advance

I have run into this same problem. The "Get Info" section for a video in iTunes does not have a place to enter the original air date. iTunes also has its own database file and I suspect that is where the additional information is kept.
The iTunes database file itself is a binary file that cannot be easily edited, at least without risk of corrupting the data it contains. Some of the criteria used by Apple TV for sorting appears to come from the iTunes database file, thus appears to be beyond user control, unfortunately.
I have also noticed that Apple TV sometimes has the annoying tendency to sort files I've made myself based on the file date rather than the information I entered for it in iTunes. In addition, the sort order in the Apple TV file list in iTunes does not always match the actual order of the files in the Apple TV menu itself.
At this point I would categorize these Apple TV sorting problems as iTunes/Apple TV software bugs that need to addressed by Apple.

  • XML Data Transfering Incorrectly (XDP)

We have a relatively simple workflow that transfers schema data from one form to another. Both forms are XDPs so we simply use a setValue to transfer the data (from form 1 to 2):
    Location: process_data/form2/object/data
    Expression: process_data/form1/object/data
We are having an issue where form 2 will not populate correctly unless run with Acrobat 9. We have investigated the issue and it seems that when the XML data is being transfered, the dataset somehow doubles. We set up variable loggers to track each of the datasets shown above and each one contains an extra set of nodes. One of those nodesets contains all of the form data and the other is just empty.
We believe the problem is that unless run in Acrobat 9, the blank set of nodes comes first. Acrobat only tries to read the first set, assuming it contains the form data, and finds none. For whatever reason, in Acrobat 9, the empty nodeset comes second so the form can render with the data.
Am I incorrect in thinking that the empty nodeset should not be there? Assuming that, I have determined that the problem either has to be how we are transfering the data from XDP to XDP or it could be related to the schema binding in form1. Some of the form1 data is bound directly from the form and some from fragments used in the form, but I can't seem to find any mistakes with the bindings.
Does anyone have any feedback or ideas on how to solve this? We are on a tight time budget so quick feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Both of those ideas produced the same thing.  It is however, slightly different from what I had before.  The two you provided created the set of nodes with the data in them (as usual) but instead of an empty nodeset, it created an empty top level node ( ).  Acrobat still seems to look there and won't recognize the data.
Are there any other possible configurations?

  • "Date Created" incorrect in Finder after copying image files from CF reader

Whenever I download image files (by drag and drop copying) from a CF card reader, the 'Date Created' info incorrectly defaults to 'Dec 31, 1903' in the List view of the Finder window.
'Date Created' shows up blank in the File Info window, too. Correct file info does however show up in the copied Meta Data.
I've only been able to transfer correct 'Date Created' info by using Image Capture, which is pretty annoying.
I've tried several cameras, CF cards, USB & FW card readers, and Macs running both Panther and Tiger. Same problem all around. Interestingly, files copy without a problem onto a PC.
I'm a photographer and I need to sort my images by 'Date Created' because I often shoot with two cameras and need to know the chronological order in which photos were taken.
    Ideas anybody?

  • YTD report generated from excel data yielding incorrect results

I am trying to generate a YTD report from the data present in an excel sheet. However the result is coming out to be incorrect for YTD sales
The data sheet looks like this.(SaleDate is in *3/14/2009 format).
SNo     manufacturer     date     # of CarsSold
    1     Hyundai     1/2/2010     10
    2     Maruti     1/2/2010     15
    3     Hyundai     1/14/2010     11
    4     Maruti     1/14/2010     15
    5     Hyundai     2/1/2010     10
    6     Maruti     2/1/2010     13
My logical layer consists of the following 3 tables
Manufacturer Dim table with only 1 column 'manufacturer'
Date dim table with only 1 column 'date'. Additional derived columns in this logical table created for YTD calculations are as follows:
    CALENDER_YEAR_NAME---- EXTRACT( YEAR FROM testdata.TimeDim."date")
    QUARTER_OF_YEAR------- EXTRACT( QUARTER_OF_YEAR FROM testdata.TimeDim."date")
    MONTH_OF_YEAR----------- EXTRACT( MONTH FROM testdata.TimeDim."date")
    CALENDER_QUARTER_DESC------ CONCAT( CAST (testdata.TimeDim.CALENDER_YEAR_NAME AS CHARACTER ( 30 )), CAST (testdata.TimeDim."QUARTER_OF_YEAR" AS CHARACTER ( 30 ))) ////appending year name to month name for uniqueness
    CALENDER_MONTH_DESC------ CONCAT( CAST (testdata.TimeDim.CALENDER_YEAR_NAME AS CHARACTER ( 30 )), CAST (testdata.TimeDim.MONTH_OF_YEAR AS CHARACTER ( 30 )))
After that time dimension was created with the following levels.
    timedimtotal
    year
    quarter
    month
timedimdetail-Chronological key has been specified at all levels of the time dimension created for YTD calculation. The key at the lowest detail level was specified as 'date' column. At the upper levels it was CALENDER_MONTH_DESC,CALENDER_QUARTER_DESC,CALENDER_YEAR_NAME etc
Fact table with 1 column '# cars sold'.The fact table is joined with both the dim tables by complex logical join. Sno has been ommitted and not used in any of the logical tables. Sale YTD column was created in fact table using todate function(year).
The result am obtaining if i run the report today is:
    CALENDER_YEAR_NAME QUARTER_OF_YEAR MONTH_OF_YEAR # of CarsSold SaleYTD
    2,010 1 1 51 51
    2,010 1 2 23 46
As you can see YTD for month 2 is coming incorrect it should be 51+23. This is jst test records and the same difference exists even if i run against my actual excel sheet
    I would like to know:
    1. Is it right to run YTD report against excel sheet as I checked for the query beign generated by answers, and its firing a lot of functions like Quarter name and monthname etc which i am not sure are supported by excel for answers.
    2. If i am going fundamentally wrong somewhere in this entire approach as i am new to obiee and chances are i might be missing something important.
    Would highly appreciate your help
    Regards
    Himanshu Hira

I have another solution and that is to actual discard the result before you get to the report stage.
You can do this by use of the Override Callback SequenceFilePostResultList and if Skipped then discard the result from ResultList.
    Check out this link.

  • CS6 Bridge "Lens Specification Data" appears incorrect (W7 Pro 64Bit SP1)

Viewing Camera Data (Exif) in CS6 Bridge
Noc ahgnges to default settings applied in CS6 Bridge
    Observed Results:
The new "Lens Specification Data" under the Camera Data (Exif) appears to be be correctly reporting the lens type but shows the lens as "f/0" which is incorrect
This appears to be the case with pictures taken with two different lenes both of which are reported as f/0
Further up in the same tab the "Lens" data is correctly reported for the lens type and maximum aperture.
    Expected Result:
Wasd to see the maximum aperture of the lens reproted in addition to the lens type, which I would ahve expected to be the same data as reproted under the "Lens" information higher up in the same panel.
Which begs the question what is the difference between the "Lens" information and the "Lens Specification Data" meant to be ?
Observed these results with the following two lenses:
    EF-S17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM
    EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM
    System Info:
Won't let me paste in :(

    Hi Baichao,
    Thank you for your response.
The camera in questions is a Canon 7D (actullay I shoot with a pair of 7D's and the results are the same for both cameras), the files are both .CR2 and .JPG, with the same results being seen for both file formats. the images have not been edited in any other applications but viewed immediately after donwload to the PC from the memory card.
I have also viewed these and other older images in both the CS6 and CS5 versions of bridge for comparision purposes and see the same differences irrespective of how old the image is or if its been previously edited in CS5 for both .CR2 and .JPG files.
In addition I also don't see an indication of the subject distance displayed in CS6 bridge, although the option is selected and works as expected in CS5 bridge.
I will send you a seperate email with screen shots showing an example in both CS5 and CS6.
    Regards Mark
