Atv2 wont logon to itunes account since up graded

I upgraded up to the newest firmware my ATV2 wont log into my itunes account
so I cannot find my library to shar movies and music from my PC to ATV2
has anyone had similar problems.
I downgraged to 4.2.1 and i still cannot log ito my account.
the ATV2 can find my wireless network and uses it
for internet and upgrades
can anyone help me with this problem pleas

Im apparantley have the same issue, it endlessly says accessing Itunes store but never connects.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:
Apple software on Windows: May see performance issues and blank iTunes Store
(If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

Problems with multiple itunes accounts since ios8

Since iOS8 I am having real problems getting my content from multiple iTunes accounts to work. I used to be able to switch between accounts (US and Japanese stores) and download stuff, and play it all fine, but since iOS8 I get the message 'This device is already associated with an Apple ID'. So, I thought I'd transfer everything to iTunes and then sync it back to the phone, which seemed to transfer the content, but when I try and play a song belonging to the account I'm not logged in as it shows the play screen and then jumps back to the play list.
This is very frustrating for those of us who straddle countries and want to be able to access content from both!
Is there any workaround for this?

Well, I usually think of an 'iTunes account' as being an account at the iTunes Store... I take it you have different iTunes collections with separate library files for each of you.
It sounds like you have different user accounts on the computer. Figuring out what is going on will require us knowing a lot more about how you have your iTunes libraries set up. Do you also have a shared area or do you keep totally separate accounts? Are you positive you were't really in his account when this was happening?

I cannot complete the registration for an iTunes account since I do not own a credit card, nor does the rest of my family. HELP!

If you have a credit card on your account then it will need to be valid. If you don't have a card to replace it with then have you tried removing it from your account ? On your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should be a payment link.

My ipad will not connect to wifi or itunes account since itunes update. Any ideas?

Since running the itunes update which failed, followed advice on here for deleting completely and reinstalling, which was successful. However, now cannot connect my ipad to wifi or itunes, will not accept account and password details. Any suggestions?

You're on a PC?
Go into the control panel, add/remove programs. Uninstall iTUnes, Apple mobile device service, Apple Application Support. Then redownload and reinstall iTunes and see if that fixes it.
If not there are more indepth things you can do.

IPhone isn't transferring purchases to my itunes account since I've updated to OS 4.3.5

I updated my OS on Tuesday, and now I can't transfer purchases (be it music or apps) from my iPhone to iTunes on my PC. Now iTunes/ my PC sees my phone, and when I hit "transfer purchases" it even goes through the "sync in process" motions, but no music is transferred.
I'm afraid to restore my phone, fearing I may lose the songs I've purchased this week.
I've had one iPhone or another for at least three years, and this is the first time I've had this issue. I've read other post where people claim 4.3.5 could not have caused an issue like this because it was only a minor security update. But like I said, I didn't have this issue until Tuesday when I updated.

If you have the iPhone 3G, 4.2.1 is the end of the line. You can't update and you can't get the app.

Is there a way to restore my itunes account since I had to get a new harddrive for the computer?

You could use your external backup of your computer, but I'm guessing you do not have one, which is leading to my second guess, you have a PC and not a Mac.

Messaging With Multiple Devices on the Same iTunes Account

My husband and I each have an iPhone 4s. We share the same iTunes account. We have never had any problems texting. My daughter got an iPod Touch for Christmas. So we set it up using the same iTunes account (since I was told you can have up to 5 devices on 1 acct). Now when any of the 3 of us send a text, it shows up on all 3 devices. It didn't happen before with just the 2 iPhones, but after adding the touch it does with all 3. Even if a txt is sent between the 2 iPhones, it shows up on the touch. And everything is set to 'off' except "find my iPhone" under on the iCloud settings on both phones Any suggestions???

Go into Settings -> Messages -> Send & Receive on the devices that your would not like to get your text messages to.
Then remove the email addresses that you would not like to be reached on, especially the one that is the same as your Apple ID.
Just leave the phone number there, and then the text messages should only appear on your iPhone 4s.

Can you split an iTunes account into two separate iTunes accounts?

My son and I have shared my iTunes account since he was in junior high. We have both added to it over the years, amassing a huge library. My son has now left home and joined the military. At this point we want separate accounts - so we can pay separately for our purchases, back up to our own Clouds, etc. Can he take his purchased music from my library and move it to his own, new account? This would leave me with only the music I have purchased, which is fine with me. The library is currently on both of our computers.

You can't split accounts nor transfer content from one account to another account - content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
For new purchases he can have his own account, and he can have that and your shared existing account authorised on the computer's iTunes that he uses (Store > Authorise This Computer menu option).
If he uses iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownloads an account's past purchases then he may tie that computer (or iOS device) to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 - so he wouldn't be able to do any of those three things on a different account until the 90 days have completed.

When the first ipad came out i set it up and created an itunes account, since then she got an iphone and an ipad and everything was good. I had an android but wanted to try out the iphone. When i set it up ut jumpled all of our contacts, apps, and everythin. it was a mess.

Welcome to the world of digital media. Your can't really transfer it. I don't know what the rules are about transferring to your spouse but I do know that in some cases when you die, your heirs cannot inherit your digital media. This is why there is still an advantage to buying the CD since the usage rights belong to whomever holds the physical media.
A possible workaround is to burn the songs to a music CD with yout account (tracks only without song titles) and then having your wife upload it as a regular music CD onto her account. It's been a while since i've done this so I'm not sure if it would work now.
Please note that I'm not advocating copyright and/or TOS violations. I'm only suggesting ways to copy music for your own personal use which has traditonally been permitted. I only did this because I wanted to convert iTunes songs to mp3 files so I could burn them onto a data CD for use in my car. It would make sense that since married couples are a joint entity, this would be personal use.
Also, I'm not a lawyer so don't take this as legal advice.

One computer, multiple users (each logon), one iTunes account. All songs are downloaded to D:. I want all songs downloaded by any user to show in everyones library. If I purchase a song how do I make it also show in other user's libraries?

I have been using my parents iTunes account since I started listening to music. I now have my own computer and just got an iPhone and want to create my own iTunes account. How do I get all of the music I bought/ added to my parents library onto one of my own???

Drag the music files into it. For cases in which it matters, it'll still be tied to their iTunes account.

Syncing apps from one itunes account to another.

Hey guys, first forum post so go easy on me pls
The other day I decided to download some apps from my mums itunes account since I didnt have any money to pay for them myself. When it came to syncing/copying the apps from her account, it decided to delete most, if not all the apps from my own account.
I had a read around and have "authorised" both my laptop and her macbook, and the iphone registers this. However, I tried to copy some apps from my account this morning and it seems it wouldnt have been possible without deleting the ones I had copied from her account.
Is there any easy way around this syncing problem? Or will I just have to keep buying things from my own itunes accout?

Not trying to doubt you or anything but you probably did something else with the iPod such as use 2 accounts simultaneously in which case you would have to log out and in each time you needed to update

I kept all my iPhones after I upgrading to the latest one each time my 2 year contract was up so I have an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S. I actually still use all 3 phones for different purposes. My iphone 3gs is not activated, but I still use it for apps among other things when connected to wifi. My iphone 4 & 4s are both activated with 2 saparete phone numbers, but I have all 3 devices on the same iTunes account. I never noticed this to be a problem until just recently when I was thinking about selling one of my iphones since I'm now due to upgrade again to the iPhone 5. Well my problem is that when the latest iphone software update came available I noticed that all 3 iPhones had a notification letting me know that there was a new update available & I didn't want to update my iphone 4 & 4S until I had a recent back-up on my pc just incase anything went wrong like once before. Referring to the last time I updated my iphone 4s for some reason right in the middle of the update it lost connection. So I had to restore my entire phone from scratch & because I didn't check to make sure that had a recent back up right before I updated I ended up losing a lot of important information. So anyway since my iphone 3GS I knew had a recent back up & plus it doesn't have a lot of important information stored on it I chose to go ahead & update it first. Then later on when I went to update my other two iPhones I noticed the notification that was there before on all my phones to let me know the update was available was now gone & it would not give me the option to update either of my other two phones. I don't know if this is true or not, but I was later told that Apple will only let you download the free update software on only one device on each iTunes account & since I have all 3 devices on one itunes account I could only choose to update one. I didn't know this beforehand so I used the update on my 3GS which I barely use except to play with on wifi & now my other two iPhones which are the main ones I use are both activated now function very slow & constantly crash. Also if I was to choose to sale one of the iPhones without the latest software update on it does that mean that the new owner will not be able to get the latest update meaning the phone would be out of date without having that latest software installed? If anyone knows how to help me fix this or give some advice I would really appreciate!!

That's utter non-sense.
Just connect your 4 & 4S, iTunes running, & hit the "Check for Updates" button, or you can update directly on the phones(if running iOS 5.0 or higher): Settings>General>Software Update.
iOS 6.1.3 is the current iOS version for both phones.

Changing iTunes account on my iPhone......How?

I have read virtually all of the previous questions on this and, either I don't understand them or the answer isn't here. I have had an iTunes account since day one with my Mobile Me account name, but the account on my iPhone and maybe even my iPad is another email address (which is mine, but not the Apple id). I need to tell my iPhone and iPad that the Mobile Me address is the correct one. I think it is because of this that I have had trouble updating new iTunes releases, like 4.3.3. You can't, and it is illegal for you to keep those apps or for the previous iPhone owner to transfer them to you. First time you try and sync, they will be erased from your phone, as they should be.

Help! I no longer have the email address for my itunes account and cannot verify Apple ID

I am trying to log into my itunes account and it tells me I need to verify my account by logging into my email. My AppleID is an old email account that I can no longer access. I want to log in to itunes to update my email account on file, but when I try to log in it says I need to verify my account. I'm stuck. Does this mean I can no longer access the money I have on my itunes account since it doesn't let me sign in without verifying?

i am having the same prob spent almost 2hours in apple store in kingston and they made me email apple support in the end who told me to sort it online when it didnt work in the first place i phoned up and was told they would email me back and still waiting for issue to be resolved i swear dell is bloody easier at least you can talk to someone v.unhappy especially the amount of money these products cost they should know better tut tut
