AUC related conceptual problems?

Hi,
I have some question in my mind:
Que: We have asset classes with Investment measure checked but system can't let us make the Asset master if we want to. why?
Que: How do we collect the cost as investment measure, how do we convert it to AUC and how do we capitalize it later?
Plz tell me the complete process with T. Codes etc.
Que: How do we collect the cost in Maintenance and Production order and how do convert that into AUC and then capitalize it?
Que: How do we de-capitalize an asset?
I have tried to read on sites and searched google but I am unable to understand the complete process plz help.
Thanks in advance
Pankaj

HI,
How do we collect the cost in Maintenance and Production order and how do convert that into AUC and then capitalize it?
Ans : use a Internal Order (Real) and assign that internal order to your order and settle it to AUC and Capitalize it.
How do we de-capitalize an asset?
You mean by decapitalize is selling or Scraping.
There are different tcodes for ABAVN - Asset Retirement by Scrapping
F-92 - With Customer
ABAON - Asset Sale Without Customer
If that is what you meant.

  • DW CS5 Missing Related Files Problem

    Hello
    Hoping somebody may be able to help me with a missing related files problem in CS5. I've tried Adobe phone support but they couldn't solve the problem.
    *Some* of my sites (but not all) are not showing all the files related to that page. My pages are typically in .asp vb server model and contain .asp virtual includes (header, nav etc) plus .js and .css linked files
    However DW is only showing the .asp includes as related files and not css or js ones. In design view the CSS is displaying correctly, and all styles appear in the CSS inspector but not showing as a related file in the bar. In CS4 it works fine.
    I've tried deleting the site and recreating it, copying the files to a new folder and setting up a fresh site, creating a new folder and downloading all files from the remote server but no joy. I've also tried refreshing related files. if I click on the filter in the bar it only shows the asp includes and nothing else.
    Any help would be gratefully appreciated, this is a great feature when it works
    Cheers

    UPDATE:
    Managed to solve this problem, this is a new issue to DW CS5, previous versions do not seem to exhibit this problem
    It occurs when you use site root rather than document relative paths for js/css etc files AND don't have the remote site url (web url) specified in the site setup | local info dialog, or do not have it fully qualified with http://
    ie. ../js/file.js works fine without a remote web url but /js/file.js does not show the related file in the bar unless a remote url is defined.
    Hope that helps anyone else that encounters the same issue!

  • Software Related Graphics Problem

    Hey Guys,
    My iMac C2D 17" early 06 has been having some software related graphics problems. It hasn't occured a lot but it has happened a few times. Small black dots or bars may appear but when I click or hover over them with the mouse, they go away. So, I am thinking that it may be the hard drive because it could be misreading something that could make it not show certain pixels but I am not really sure.
    Any help will be well appreciated.
    Thanks

    RAM Specs:
    2 sticks of 512 MB PC2700 CL 2.5 Apacer RAM. I don't know if this matters but they're in DIMM slots 1 & 3.
    I downloaded nForce drivers (version 5.10 as Richard suggested) and everything installed fine. However, the computer freezes whenever I'm using MSI liveupdate.
    So, instead of using liveupdate I downloaded the nvidia drivers directly from Nvidia.com. During installation the screen flickered three times, and immediately after this the only thing appearing on the screen was a blinking cursor in the upper left; the computer just hung at this point.

  • Conceptual problem: AJAX Memory tree for navigation

    Hello,
    I have a conceptual problem with a navigation tree.
    I have to implement a AJAX memory tree for navigation purposes, which should be on page 0, so this tree is on the left side of every page.
    Therefore I searches some examples and found this: http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/spendolini-tree.html
    So I try to rebuild this example with my custom tables and recognised that this example is very slow. I have round about 100 nodes in the tree and my database and network connection is extremly fast(I`m sitting in a proffesional data center).
    So first of all I am wondering why the tree is so slow when I try to expand it and if it is possible to use this tree on the page 0.
    Because of the performance problem I searched for some alternatives, but I didn`t found one.
    Every custom APEX-tree is not dynamic(AJAX) and the dynamic APEX-lists can not base on a select-statement.
    So at this moment I don`t know how to build a AJAX memory tree for navigation which is fast, looks good and works as expected.
    Does anybody have an idea why the tree is so slow?
    Are there alternatives which I can try to use?
    Thank you,
    Tim

    Hi Tim
    100 nodes is not a lot of data for a tree, so why bother with AJAX at all.
    Just render the entire tree, and let the user expand and collapse nodes as they like.
    APEX has a dhtml tree in the standard themes which is enough to get you started.
    The issue I had with it is that it isn't stateful, so doesn't remember which nodes are open between page refreshes.
    That's what got me into ExtJS originally.
    If you look at my demo, I have a couple of examples worth looking at:
    - [tree using APEX lists|http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=200801:2025:0::NO:::] uses APEX built in hierarchical lists, which allows conditional logic on nodes
    - [AJAX editable tree|http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=200801:2013:0::NO:::] which is fully AJAX enabled.
    The other point worth mentioning is if you are using hierarchical queries for your tree you should consider restructuring your data set.
    Typically trees are fairly static, in that the data changes very little over time.
    This makes a very strong case for maintaining the node sequence and level in a denormalised way.
    Data updates become more expensive, but read operations, which will be the bulk of your operations will be very fast.
    Many choices on how to implement, e.g. materialized views with refresh on demand.

    Mark

  • Conceptual problem in using a PCI-6602?

    Hi, All You Wild and Crazy NI/LabVIEW Types --
    I have a problem that's been close to sending me off the deep end for more than a month now, and I think that I'm so enmeshed in it that I can't see the forest for the trees anymore. I'd like to apologize in advance for the length of this post, but there are some details that might or might not be important, and I'd rather make the mistake of giving you too much information than not enough.
    We do impact-cratering experiments, using a gun to launch (usually) spherical projectiles at a variety of targets. One of our big efforts is to measure the velocities at which material is ejected from growing craters. We do that with a line-generating laser, oriented so the "sheet" of laser light is perpendicular to the target's surface and through the impact point; we strobe the laser at a programmed rate (with our PCI-6259 board) and take a time exposure of the scene with a Nikon D100 DSLR. When target material -- usually grains of sand -- is ejected, the laser illuminates a "slice" through the curtain of ejecta, illuminating a small portion of the fragments numerous times in their trajectories. Since we know the scale of the photograph and its orientation relative to the laser's illumination, and we also know the rate at which the laser is flashing, we can easily calculate the velocities of the illuminated particles. I'm attaching a picture (file 4044, cropped.jpg) of an example taken with an older camera to give you an idea. In the picture, the laser's illuminating the scene from the right of the frame and the projectile flew into the picture from the top of the frame, traveling along the left-hand edge. The brightest portion is the flash from the impact, and the rest of the parabolic trajectories are the grains of sand in flight. The target bucket, full of coarse sand, is the elliptical looking cylinder at the bottom of the picture. It's roughly 28 cm in outside diameter, if you'd like a scale.
    As you might imagine, with our projectiles moving anywhere between 0.7 and 3 km/s, sequencing everything is pretty important. We're using (or trying to use) LabVIEW to do all of the sequencing, instrument control, and data storage. Things are going pretty well so far, except for what I'll describe in more detail below. A couple more things, though, first. It's important that we measure the projectile's speed in each shot, as that controls impact energy and momentum, which are critical to know in a given experiment. We do that with simple laser-photodetector pairs (which we normally call "velocity stations") arranged along the projectile's trajectory. As the projectile passes between a laser and its detector, its shadow is detected and a TTL pulse is sent to our PCI-6602 board. Depending on the experiment, we use three or four such laser-dector pairs. They use counters 0, 1, 2, and 3. We know the distances between the laser stations and, once we get the times between detections, it's s simple matter to calculate the projectile's velocity.
    We also use LabVIEW to fire the gun, and we do that because opening the camera's shutter has to be synchronized with the firing pulse, which currently is sent via P1.1 on the 6259. Here's the problem: when we test the laser-detector arrays in a "standalone" mode (that is, without any other tasks or operations being done with LabVIEW), they work infallibly. It's when we try to use LabVIEW to fire the gun that we get either very erratic results from the velocity stations/6602 or no results at all.
    I've tried a range of things, from starting the two-edge measurement task before the firing signal is sent, to trying to force things with a timed sequence, to doing things with brute force via a seuqence structure. When I try to start the two-edge measurement task first, though, the firing signal isn't sent until the counters time out. This of course, wrecks the experiment, because all of the timing is then messed up. The VI that I've attached (Version 1.vi) is a HIGHLY simplified version of the initial attempt I made at doing this, with all sorts of background stuff removed just so I can cut to the chase. (Only one two-edge measurement task is shown, for instance.)  I think that the VI is pretty self-explanatory (and embarrassingly primitive), so it probably doesn't need much in the way of explanation. Counter 7 and PFI 0 on the 6602 are used to accept the signal from the firing button and trigger the event structure, which contains the two-edge separation and gun-firing tasks. (In reality, I use a separate VI to have three to four concurrent two-edge separation tasks running concurrently, one for each velocity station.) I start the two-edge separation tasks first so the detectors and counters are ready for the projectile. It's not necessary here, but I kept the 500 ms wait frame in this example because that's why the sequence structure exists -- to allow the shutter of the Nikon to open completely before the gun fires. After those 500 ms, the firing signal is sent to the circuit that actually fires the gun.
    What happens in this configuration is that the second frame of the sequence structure doesn't execute until the 5-s timeout transpires in the two-edge separation task. I've also tried this using a line on the 6602 to fire the gun instead of P0.1 on the 6259, but that ends up with the same result. (Both counters are used on the 6259 to strobe the main illumination laser, so they're unavailable, if you're wondering. In any case, we need four counters for the four velocity stations.)
    FINALLY, my question: What am I doing wrong, here? If I put the two-edge separation tasks in the same frame of the sequence structure as the firing task, the gun fires when it's supposed to, but we get no velocity measurements. I've also tried to force the timing with another version of a sequence structure; I'm attaching another very simplified version below as Fire and speed example.vi.
    After you recover from your violent fits of laughter, I'd really appreciate hearing what you might recommend. (And no, surrender isn't an option.)
    Thanks for taking all of your valuable time to read this huge post -- I really appreciate it!

    I agree with all 3 of Kevin's points.  His first suggestion will probably fix your problem (see below).  The 2nd and 3rd suggestion would improve efficiency and responsiveness, but #2 might not be possible since independently triggering four outputs in hardware would require the use of 4 counters (on the 6602 anyway) which might be busy doing other tasks in your application (although if you don't need the stations to trigger independently then you could implement this with a single counter).
    I think I have an explanation of the problematic behavior you are seeing based off of the following bits of information from your post:
    1.  Running the small example code by itself works flawlessly, but adding other simultaneous functionality fails.  You mentioned you are doing this on 4 stations, so I'm assuming 4 counter input tasks running in parallel.
    2.  The behavior you are seeing is that the 2nd sequence does not execute until after the read times out (note that the sequence is supposed to be executing in parallel with the read).
    It sounds like the problem is coming from a combination of calling into DAQmx Read before data is available (this consumes one of the threads that LabVIEW has allocated to your application until DAQmx Read finishes executing) along with the fact that LabVIEW allocates 4 threads per execution system per priority by default.  Since all of your threads (from what I can tell) are executing on the same priority, the 4 reads you are calling will block anything else from executing until they have completed.  By then it's too late and the firing of your gun happens after the counter task has already timed out.
    You *may* increase the number of threads allocated to your application by using a VI that is included with LabVIEW (vi.lib\Utility\sysinfo.llb\threadconfig.vi) and this would also probably remedy the behavior you are seeing.  However, rather than throwing more threads at this application I think the better solution would be to change the sequencing of your tasks like Kevin suggested ("create and start the 2-edge task before entering the sequence structure, and defer the 2-edge *reading* until *after* firing the DO")--in doing this you would now expect to see data immediately upon calling DAQmx Read and you avoid the situation where Read is blocking indefinitely and consuming an application thread.  You could take this a step further by checking the Available Samples per Channel property (or using the DAQmx EveryNSamplesAcquiredIntoBuffer event) to ensure that data is actually available before calling Read.

  • Acrobat 9 PDFMAKER for Word - Relative Hyperlink problem

    In the past I have successfully use Acrobat Standard 6 PDFMAKER with Word 2003 to preate PDF files with relative hyperlinks. I have a large massively hyperlinked PDF document collection which I distribute on DVD and hence need relative hyperlinks because people's DVD drives have different drive letters. The PDF links produced by Acrobat 6 PDFMAKER have only a single "F" entry in the CosDict and that entry is the desired relative path. The PDF files I make are PDF 1.4. These work with Adobe reader.
    Acrobat 9's PDFMAKER for Word 2007 appears to be unable to produce PDF 1.4 files with relative hyperlinks that work in Adobe Reader. I get PDF files with Annot entries containing a correct "F" entry with a relative path, BUT there is also a UF entry with an absolute path. I have reported this as a bug because it appears to me that the PDF spec says the UF field is a PDF 1.7 feature. I'm speculating that the presence of this undesired absolute path in the UF field of the Annot object is why Adobe Reader (and Foxit Reader) won't follow the hyperlinks as relative paths. Foxit complains about not finding the absolute path.
    Is there a way to coerce Acrobat 9's PDFMAKER to produce truly relative hyperlinks from Word 2007? Am I wrong is diagnosing the problem? I am using Acrobat 9.4.2. Is there a newer version that has fix this problem?
    Any suggestions for how to produce PDF files with functional relative hyperlinks from Word 2007 would be appreciated. Since my document collection is very large (1000,'s of files in a directory tree) I'd like to be able to automate this. I have successfully written VB script code to automate running PDFMAKER but the relative vs absolute hyperlink problem persists whether I make the files one at a time from Word or in a batch from VB.

    I don't believe Word 2000 is supported by Acrobat 9

  • Font Smoothing + Relative Positioning = Problem

    Hello,
    I ran across a strange inconsistency while designing a relative position based layout.
    My page has two divs, both relative positioned for height. They do not overlap. The page renders excellent in Firefox 3.5, and not bad in Chrome (though a little different from FF). Safari however pushes my second div down too far.
    I found that by disabling font smoothing (or rather switching it to anything besides "windows standard") fixes this issue. However there isn't even any actual text on the site, at all. There's 4 images, a couple input fields and a submit button.
    I can post some of the code, or example screenshots of what's happening. I've tried a couple css hacks to target safari (without targeting chrome) with no success. Anybody have any advice?
    Thanks,
    Tom

    Please disreard...
    I got it figured out. I just moved the paragraph tag outside
    of the table
    and changed the position from bottom:50% to top:50%
    once the <p> was moved out of the table, it's normal
    position would be at
    the very top. So, I moved it 50% down from the top using
    relative
    positioning. Being inside the table caused it to not work in
    Gecko? I
    wonder why?

  • I have two related keyword problems.  Some keywords get "broadcast" to every photo in an event.  It's almost impossible to delete these keywords from individual photos.  I select the keyword, hit delete and it reappears after a few seconds.

    I have two related problems with keywords in iphoto 11.  Sometimes, keywords get magically "broadcast" to every photo in an event or album.  It's difficult to delete these keywords.  If I select one and try to delete it it vanishes.  About half the time, it reappears again either in a couple of seconds or after I go to another photo and then return to the previous one.  When thios happens, I need to delete the keyword two or more times before it actually vanishes.  With several hundred photos in an event that all have a bad keyword, this is a tedious process.  I've tried rebuilding the library once, but with only the first (I think) option checked on the rebuild.

    Option 1
    Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
    Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • ConstraintRows sibling-relative layout problem

    Hi,
    I am having problems creating constraintRows by means of
    ActionScript with sibling-relative layouts aaplied to a Canvas. I
    get a height wich is less than the one set.
    Here is a code in AS3 (not working) for generating two rows,
    Row1 and Row2.
    AS3:
    consRow = new ConstraintRow();
    consRow.initialized(this, "Row1");
    consRow.height = 36;
    this.constraintRows.push(consRow);
    consRow = new ConstraintRow();
    consRow.initialized(this, "Row2");
    this.constraintRows.push(consRow);
    The first one with a fixed height of 36, the second adjusts
    to the rest of the available space of the container, according to
    the MXML example shown
    here.
    The problem is that the first row has an end result of height=19,
    while if I watch the expression of the array only explicitHeight=36
    and not the real height.
    Below there is an MXML sample where the first row has a fixed
    size and the second one adjusts. This is to compare both AS3 and
    MXML.
    MXML:
    <mx:constraintRows>
    <mx:ConstraintRow id="Row1" height="36" />
    <mx:ConstraintRow id="Row2" />
    </mx:constraintRows>
    If anybody can see what I am doing wrong please let me know.
    Thanks very much in advance,
    Jose.

    Hi,
    Finally I figured out it was not a constraints issue but the
    properties of the container and the Childs.
    Apologize and thanks indeed,
    Jose.

  • SDO_RELATE AND SDO_GEOM RELATE MASK PROBLEMS

    I am trying to use the SDO_RELATE operator on my spatial table.
    I have been experiencing problems.
    I also get the same problems if I use the SDO_GEOM.RELATE geometry function.
    Background
    Table2 contains about 20 000 rows.
    Table1 contains about 1 000 000 rows.
    Both tables contain area geomteries.
    I can not get the following 'masks' to return any results.
    -- OVERLAPBDYINTERSECT
    -- COVEREDBY
    -- COVERS
    -- OVERLAPBDYDISJOINT
    The all return -
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    Elapsed: 00:00:20.00
    However the mask INSIDE does work!!! And it returns the correct results.
    The query syntax I am using is below. And substituting any of the above mentioned masks for INSIDE results in the ORA-03113 error.
    I have validated all the geometies in my table using SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_LAYER. They are all valid.
    Query Syntax
    SELECT /* ORDERED */ count(g2.parcel_ref)
    FROM table2 g2
    WHERE 1 < (SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    FROM table1 g1
    WHERE SDO_RELATE (g1.geometry,
         g2.geom,
              'MASK=INSIDE querytype=WINDOW') ='TRUE');
    SELECT /* ORDERED ORDERED_PREDICATES */ count(g2.parcel_ref)
    FROM table2 g2
    WHERE 1 < (SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    FROM table1 g1
    WHERE SDO_FILTER (g1.geometry, g2.geom, 'querytype=WINDOW')='TRUE'
    AND SDO_GEOM.RELATE (g1.geometry, 'inside', g2.geom,0.001)='INSIDE');
    Does anybody have any ideas why all the masks (except INSIDE) fail?
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Dan,
    I have finally got back to looking at my problem queries.
    The first discovery I have found is that I can repeat the problem using one feature in one of the geometry tables.
    You can see the syntax that I am using below. As I stated before, the INDSIDE query works, but the COVEREDBY fails.
    OVERLAPBDYINTERSECT,COVEREDBY,COVERS,OVERLAPBDYDISJOINT also return the same ORA-03113 error.
    SELECT /* ORDERED */ count(g2.parcel_ref)
    FROM table2 g2
    WHERE g2.id = 3658
    AND 1 < (SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    FROM table1 g1
    WHERE SDO_RELATE (g1.geometry, g2.geom, 'MASK=INSIDE querytype=WINDOW') ='TRUE');
    *** THIS ONE WORKS!
    SELECT /* ORDERED */ count(g2.parcel_ref)
    FROM table2 g2
    WHERE g2.id = 3658
    AND 1 < (SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    FROM table1 g1
    WHERE SDO_RELATE (g1.geometry, g2.geom, 'MASK=COVEREDBY querytype=WINDOW') ='TRUE');
    *** THIS ONE DOES NOT WORK! The error is below.
    SELECT /* ORDERED */ count(g2.parcel_ref)
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    I have also been running some other queries on my data.
    Again, one query works, the other does not.
    SELECT /*+ ORDERED ORDERED_PREDICATES */ count(*)
    FROM table2 g1, table2 g2
    WHERE g1.id = 194
    AND SDO_FILTER (g2.geom, g1.geom, 'querytype=WINDOW')='TRUE'
    AND SDO_GEOM.RELATE (g2.geom, 'overlapbdyintersect', g1.geom,0.0001)='OVERLAPBDYINTERSECT';
    *** THIS ONE WORKS!
    SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    FROM table2 g1, table2 g2
    WHERE g1.id = 194
    AND SDO_RELATE (g2.geom, g1.geom, 'MASK=OVERLAPBDYINTERSECT querytype=WINDOW') ='TRUE';
    *** THIS ONE DOES NOT WORK! Again, the error is below.
    SELECT /*+ ORDERED */ count(*)
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    I have checked that the two problem geometries are 'valid'.
    SQL> select sdo_geom.validate_geometry(geom, 0.001) from table2 where id=194;
    SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY(GEOM,0.001)
    TRUE
    SQL> select sdo_geom.validate_geometry(geom, 0.001) from table2 where id=3658;
    SDO_GEOM.VALIDATE_GEOMETRY(GEOM,0.001)
    TRUE
    Below is a print of the geometry of each of the problem features.
    Have you got any ideas as to why the queries are failing?
    Thanks in advance,

    You could read the spool directly from table TSP01
    SELECT *
      INTO TABLE SPOOL_TABLE
      FROM TSP01
      WHERE RQIDENT IN R_SPOOL
        AND RQOWNER IN R_OWNER
        AND RQCRETIME IN R_DATUM.

  • Order related billing problem

    Dear all,
    I am trying to do order related billing, I have created sales Order, but when I am trying to create Invoice with Sales Order number it is showing problem in Log  " Order Quantity is not equal to goods issue 0"
    Please help me to resolve this issue, your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Raghu ram

    this is because of many factors, some i can guess and replying to you.
    1) see the item category settings, billing relevance field , check u have setting of B
    2) during copy control VTFA, see whether ur item category is proposed and if it is there, check the billing qty field.
    3) also check ur copying requirements
    Please check and let me know,
    If it is useful, reward points..

  • Please explain Importance of Interfaces ....? [Basic Conceptual Problem..]

    Hi everyone..
    i am new to java..i want to know the importance of interfaces in java....
    interface A{
    public void print();
    class B implements A{
    public void print()
    System.out.println("Please explain me the importance of Interfaces");
    the class B can also be defined with out interface as the following...
    class B {
    public void print()
    System.out.println("Please explain me the importance of Interfaces");
    Both the classes have the same functionality ... then what the use of declaring an Interface and implementing it...?
    PLEASE EXPLAIN BASIC USE OF INTERFACES....?
    Note: Ignore any syntax errors in the code that i have written above
    thanks in advance

    In Java, mostly we use inheritance for code reuse.
    public class Toy{
    public class Ball extends Toy{
    }Suppose there is another class Type which doesn't related to Toy family.
    public class Tyre{
    }Now we know that Ball and Tyre are bouncable. So we will have to implement bounce() method in both class which behave differently.
    public class Ball extends Toy{
        public void bounce() {
    }Suppose there is another class Type which doesn't related to Toy family.
    public class Tyre{
        public void bounce() {
    }*If want to collect bouncable things into a single collection, then how can we do that?*
    There is way, we can use abstract class:-
    public abstract BouncingThings {
    public abstract void bounce();
    }Now things that are bouncable can extend BouncingThings class and the collection of bounce things will be
    BouncingThings [] bouncingThings;
    But there is one problem Java doesn't allow multiple class inheritance. So Ball can't extend both Toy and BouncingThings.
    We can use interface:-
    public interface Bouncable{
    void bounce();
    public class Ball extends Toy implements Bouncable{
    public void bounce(){
    public class Tyre implements Bouncable{
    public void bounce(){
    Bouncable[] bouncableThings = { new Ball().new Tyre() };Edited by: SandipGaikwad on Oct 16, 2007 12:23 PM

  • SmartWebPrinting and related Printer problems.

    I cannot uninstall websmart printing through teh control panel. Nothing happens when I click "uninstall." Ther is no indication that anything is woriking ans I have waited for hours.
    Each time I open the internet, there is a error message indicating that some file is missing and to try to locate the "tratapps.mis". but I have no idea where such a thing is located.
    All that seem to be related.
    I have major problems with my HP psc 1315 printer, but no way to re-install. It only goes as far as connect the USB and freezes -- with or without the USB plugged in. Pluggin in the USB does nothing.

    Hi cgmclellan2000,
    Thank you for being a member of the HP Support community.  I understand that you have run into difficulties when trying to uninstall HP’s Smart Web Printing software.
    I have included the full link (it is rather long) to the document titled “HP Printing Products - HP Smart Web Printing Software Replaced by HP Smart Print”.   Step One in the document walks you through how to uninstall the software from your computer.   Once you have completed the removal, it also would be prudent to check the add-ons for your browser to ensure the add-on is disabled.

  • Two related Touch problems

    Hi,
    I recently bought an iPod Touch. It was working great to start out with, but now it doesn't, here are the two problems: (i believe they are related)
    1. When I click the Music button on the Touch's main menu, it pops up the beginnings of the Music window, but before it loads anything it disappears again. For an example of what it looks like, press the Calender button; right before it loads the window, everything is white, except for the top box etc. This then disappears. Now this happens when I press either the Music, Videos, or the iTunes buttons.
    2. The Touch does not show up in the iTunes sidebar (now back to my xp). It seems to register being plugged in because it shows the charging battery thing, and windows plays a little noise showing that a device connected. But nothing changes in iTunes.
    I hope I was clear in explaining these problems. Thank you in advance for any comments, suggestions, or answers.
    Cameron Kloot

    I'd try a reset first, then a restore if that doesn't help.
    Reset by holding the Sleep/Home buttons until the iPod reboots.
    Restore by selecting the Touch within iTunes and hitting Restore.
    If it doesn't show up in iTunes after the reset, turn it off by holding the sleep button until you get the option to power off.
    Now, have iTunes launched, and with the iPod connected, but still off, hold the Home button down and connect the iPod = keep the Home button down and you should get the option to restore.
    Good luck.
