Auc value 0 but no deactivation date in AS03

Hello everybody,
I have a strange situation. My client posted a invoice on a auc in 2008. In the same month he cancelled this invoice with the same transaction (F-43) but with negative posting. He let the auc like this and now he wants this auc to be deacitivated. How can I deactivate this auc in this case?

Hi,
If there is no balance in the AUC asset and you want to de-activate the asset then use AS02 and put date (deactivation) in deactivation date field and save the asset.

You can block the asset using AS05. Select block 'acqusition' option. then you should not able to post any doc to this asset. If the asset is having any book value, then you continue to depreciate it till to zero.

Chart - Reading series value but not from data point

Hi All,
I have a single line series on my chart, values on Y axis,
hours along X. I have values for each hour of the day for 24 hours,
e.g. 25 data points.
First value is say 200 at 0000 UTC
Next value is say 300 at 0100 UTC
Next value is say 900 at 0200 UTC
etc. etc.
Now I have this chart loaded, on screen etc. How would I then
find out what the value of the series is when the time (X axis) is
0130 UTC, or 0115 UTC etc. etc.
I.e. I want to be able to say at any time on the X axis, give
me the Y value of the line on chart.
Any pointers gratefully received.

I wouldn't go reading some external app's (proprietary-format) config file - you're just setting yourself up for a fragile app if that other app ever changes the layout of that file.

Asset Deactivation Date

Hi,
A user retired an asset using an incorrect transaction code (FB01) which resulted to having a blank deactivation date. When using transaction code AS02 however, the deactivation date field is greyed out. Can you advise how else we can manually place a deactivation date in the asset master record?

Will this also work in case the dectivation date is there but they want to change the date to 5 years ago?
To make it clearer, this was also replicated in a SAP test environment using the correct transaction ABAVN but the deactivation date was of course set to the current period date. Since this needs to be deactivated as of 5 years ago, it needs to be edited to 28.09.2005.
I tried to change the screen layout for vehicle assets and made deactivation required but it is still greyed out. I also tried optional but it is still not working.
Or maybe this just needs to be corrected in SAP Producton already since in Production it is still blank for deactivaton date?

The FP-1000/1001 seri
al network modules do not support deadbanding. The checkbox in FieldPoint Explorer is simply for how FieldPoint Explorer displays the data to the user and does not effect client programs nor the behavior of the network module itself.

Metric shows real time value but does not show historical data

I am using OEM 12c.I am facing an issue and I don't know where to look for problem.
I had created one customized metric for percentage flash recovery area through metric extension.I deployed to it target databases.
When I check it through Database --> All Metrics it shows me real time value for metric,Collection schedule,upload interval and last upload time.IT is all fine.
When I check metric value history,
For all the columns like Last Known Value,
Collection Time stamp,
Average Value,
High Value,
Low Value
it shows no data.It even does not show anything in Metric Value History graph.
Even the metric test in Metric Extension works fine.
All the client agents are uploading the the data to OEM successfully.
Any help,guide is appreciated.

bit late but there are two options on metric creation "Alerting Only" or "Alerting and Historical Trending" - I assume you need the latter to show history so was this option used?

My issue is sometime it doesnt put the value in the field. I know it has returned a value as I had the funtion print it out for me, so I can see the value that was passed and the returning value, but when I look in my table there is no value.
I have added the function call for you to see it is very simple takes one parameter, I have also added the print out from my function, does anyone have any ideas??

Asset upload: Deactivation Date not available in the standard program(LSMW)

Hi,
I am trying to use the standard program for Assets upload,RAALTD01. But, the field de-activation date (ANLA-DEAKT) is not available for mapping. This is the only field am missing out of more than 200 fields involved in the upload. What would be the best approach inorder that I can use LSMW and at the same time map this deactivation date field ; provided we are not using the Recording method.

It is not possible to do this in the transaction AS91. When you are doing the take over during a fiscal year you have to go from the tab Asset values to Transactions and fill in there the ttype for deactivation.
Other wise you have to create a LSMW that is doing this deactivation after the upload

Value getting changed after data loading.

Hi experts,
Two Issues:
1.We have a dso2 populating from another dso1.
In dso2 we have a char X which is populating from two key figures Y and Z through a formula in
transformation such that X = Y/Z.
After loading data when checked in the cube for X for the value 10190 it is showing as 1.019E+04.
What should i do if I want the value to be displayed as 10190 in the cube or query level ?
2.Suppose I am creating a query on a cube.
For a keyfigure i am creating a New selection.I dragged the keyfigure and i am restricting it with a char
say Doc_num.Suppose this doc_num has values 1001,1002,1009 etc.
But I want to restrict with values which are not there in the cube say 1000 to 1010.
1000 and 1010 are not there in the cube. But I want to use them for restrictions in the future purpose.
How can we get these values ?

It does'nt matter whether the value exists in the cube or not..........bcoz characteristic means master data.......and master data will never contain in the cube........it will be in the infoobject........Extended Star schema concept...........but to give the selection...........u hav to maintain these value in the Master data table.............

Handle null value in char infoobject -data type DATE(ora-01722 invalid num)

Hi,
We have a DSO with a info object in the Data fields. The char info object has the data type DATE and most often it has the null value. but some times it has data in it.
When ever we were trying to run a report on the DSO it throws a error as ORA- 01722 INVALID NUMBER.
we tried editing PSA data and placing 00000000 for null values - and had a message invalid date.
suggestions pls

If null value is the problem, change the query setting for not to show the null values. Just add a filter in ZDAT to exclude "NULL"

Reading Values from Listbox and data source into MS Office Toolkit

Hi,
Been trying to get this to work but making no progress and my lack of experience on labview is becoming a hinderence.
Does anyone know how I can read the values from the listbox example attached into MS Office Toolkit for Excel?
The values from the listbox need to be compared to mulitple values from a strain data source.

Custom Report for the Stock and Stock value for a specific date

Hi SAP Gurus,
Is there any SAP standard t-code or any logic to get the transcations (additions (for example: Purchases) and subtractions (Sales) to the inventory) for a particular materials in a plant and with Total Stock and also Total Stock value when that particular transaction happened?
Our system is R/3 4.7
I looked at the MB5B, MBCE, MBCA, MC44, MB51 and some other standard T-codes but could not find the total stock value at the time of Transaction happened.
The history tables MBEWH and MARDH are updated after the month end closing procedures, right, which means I will have the inventory value changing every month if material has Price "S".

Unfortunately, you cannot see in a single tcode the value of stock and stock quantity on a specific date. As you yourself have pointed out, we only have to make use of the history table MBEWH, MARDH for the month wise stock quantity and value. Along with that you should also make use of the table MBEW to take teh stock quantity and value. So the total value of stock on a particular date will be
Stock qnty = MBEWH value until the previous month (for teh specific valuation class, period etc) + MBEW value for the present date.
But this will nto work out if you want to find out teh stock quantity and stock value on a past date basis. For past data, only m onthwise data is available. For this anyway you can refer to MC.1 and so on reports.

Sorry for my unprecise answer, but you talk about a tcode, but you're using a BAPI Call. Maybe you want to call the transaction in batch mode?

I m using the following to change the jave.util.Date to str and vice versa. But it cannot shows the dd-MM-yyyy. I tried to change the format from yyyy-MM-dd to dd-MM-yyyy, it shows the wrong date in my application.
