Audible Book pics wrong...

I'm using a refurb first gen ipod touch with the latest 3.0 upgrade. The last time I synched my audiobooks all the book covers (pics) got mixed up.
For example - the book cover looks right in the list, but when I start reading the book a pic of one of my genius play list (collage of album covers) shows instead.
Sometimes a pic from a podcast shows up.
What's going on? Everything else seems to work fine. The books play fin, just wrong pics. Do I have to call customer support?

Reformatting ipod seemed to fix the problem.

How can I burn audible book to disc with chapters?

When I burn an audible book to disc, instead of chapters itunes breaks the recording into 7 minute tracks. The chapter information is there in itunes - I can see it and navigate using it. What am I doing wrong?

What Adobe application are you working with? Are you working with a PDF file in Reader or Acrobat? Is the Save As command available? If you are using Acrobat/Reader, is the PDF password protected (do you see SECURED in the title bar)?

Audible book showing up in music playlist

I downloaded audible books and they correctly showed up in the audiobook file. However, they are showing up in my 'Songs' list on my Ipod. When I connect my ipod to my Mac/Itunes, it does not show the audio book in the wrong place but if I am playing songs on Ipod, when it comes to the audio book, it starts playing the book. I want to know how to get the audiobook out of the song list.

Thanks for that! Shame there isn't also an option to label TV shows as TV shows because I've been converting some Elgato EyeTV recordings for the iPod.

I am trying to load an audible book file into Itunes.I have been getting a 1007 message. What does this mean?

I have been trying to load an audible book file into itunes. I did this the last time successfully but this time I get this message either I007 or 1007.Basically I get a asked for the audible pw. I do thid. Then I get itunes not installed correctly I uninstalled and reinstalled ( I did uninstall all the apple files).Now I get the 1007 error code. Anybody?

I downloaded Blue Fire Reader and it requested an adobe id. I clicked on the link that was in the error message stated http//adeactivateadobe.com. Found out that if the date and time on my Ipad is wrong that it won't let me download a book. I was off 5 hours. I reset my clock settings and adobe id let me download a book from the library. I am back to using Overdrive and adobe again on my ipad.

Audible books are sounding tinny on my Iphone 4s. Is there anything that I can do.

I play Audible books all the time and all of the sudden they started sounding tinny when I played them. My music sounds fine. Does anyone know what to do about this?

What photos?
Photos that you synced from your computer to iphone should still be on your computer.
Camera Roll photos ( taken with iphone)? You should be importing these regularly to your computer as you would from any digital camera. If for some reason you have failed to do this, then you would have to be able to restore from a previous backup where the pics were present ( if on exists). Otherwise they are gone. Import regularly.

I bought an iPhone 4S last year. Today was the 5th time that one of my Audible books was suddenly cut off 3/4 into the book.The solutions offered to correct the problem did not work. Next phone won't be an iPhone. And books will go on different devices.

Does anybody else have problems with Audible books being cut off in mid-listening, and none of the solutions suggested comes even close to being applicable? It's my 5th time in a year. And I've had it. The interruptions and consequent time consuming attempts to find a solution, and once I do, again spending way too much time finding the place in the book, where I was so rudely interrupted have pushed my patience to the limit. I downloaded my books on different devices, and use my iPhone for calls and texting. Once it's time to get a new Smartphone I'll stay far, far away from any Apple product. I don't care to waste time to get my smartphone to do what it is supposed and offering to do. And I am really getting ****** of when I am driving in the middle of nowhere, listening to a good book and Apple decides that that would be a good time to put a stop to that. Mostly I wanted to get a response from Apple Support, and am not sure how I was channeled into an Apple Support Community (what a ridiculous term!). My problem is with Apple itself. But not for long anymore......

I recently had to get a new computer, my list of audible books is there but can't open because original file cannot be found. how do I find them or redownload them when they are not in my purchased list anymore?

Select the store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.

ITunes only burns the first two discs of audible book over and over

I have purchased, downloaded, and burned many Audible books in iTunes successfully . . . until now.
NOW I cannot get my current purchased book to burn correctly.
What I do...
I create a playlist for the audiobook.
I drag the audiobook into the playlist.
I right click on the playlist and ask it to burn to disc.
I am told the book will have to be spread across multiple discs.
I click "ok".
The playlist begins to burn to disc.
I am prompted to insert another disc.
I do so.
This goes on and on for what seems like too many discs (normally, an unabridged audio takes about 8-12 discs depending on the length.)
I check the discs in a portable player and discover that the first two discs are fine, but that the third and fourth discs are just repeats of the first two discs.
I check the rest of the discs I have burned (18 at this point) and find that the first two discs are repeated over and over and over again!
What I did to try and resolve the issue:
I checked to see if I had the latest iTunes downloaded. I do.
I emailed Audible and they had me delete all occurences of the audiobook from my system and then re-download a fresh copy. I did.
Tried to reburn the new playlist with the new downloaded audio book.
The same issue occurrs and I waste another 18 discs.
It should be noted that the only reason I only wasted these 18 discs each time and not more is because I finally cancelled the burn.
iTunes was still asking for more discs on disc 18 (and the audio book was only about 10 hours long).
Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

I know that doesn't help a lot, but I have NEVER been fond of iTunes for burning.

Upgrading to 7.0 iTunes won't import Audible books

When I installed the update to iTunes 7.0, it tries to load my audible book library, but then comes up with a login box for my audible account name and pw. WHen I enter it, it returns a message "Could not authorize the computer because you do not have enought computer access privileges." I am a domain admin and domain admins, domain users, and my account are listed as owners and full control of the files. This worked just fine prior to the upgrade.

I got iTunes to import the audible files. I was actually having problems with my DSL line for awhile. After I got the DSL fixed, I downloaded the audible files again to my computer. iTunes was then able to import the files. It seemed very strange but it's working. Good luck.

The only way I can play the books is going through the iPad search and typing a part of the title. I am then able to play it, although it still will not show in the library. I can not use the search function within the library, it has to be the main iPad search.
Most of my books are using the "Enhanced" format (it is compatible since I can play them). I am also selecting specific books from the "Books" tab in iTunes. I tried choosing the option to sync all books and the only change is that the folder will show a higher number.
Any ideas on how to get the titles to show in the list.

How do you get the nano to repeat a minute or so when listening to audible book. not the whole chapter

I have an ipod nano and load audible books on it. How do you get it to repeat a small segment without going back to the beginning of the chapter?

Play the Auduble file in iTunes to be prompted to autorize your Adible accuont with the new iTunes Library. If it is already authorized try selecting "De-authorize Audible account" in the iTunes Advanced menu first then play a book to re-authorize it.

do you mean you downloaded an audiobook from Audible or did you download it from the iTunes store ?
if the latter, try this:
in iTunes, access your *purchase history* via your account in the iTunes store,
find the file in question, and click on the *report a problem button*. report the problem.
clicking here should take you directly to your iTunes store log-in window.

Audible Book file size?

I have not purchased any audible books from ITMS yet. Is there some way to determine the file size that will be downloaded prior to purchase? There may be an obvious way but I haven't been able to find it and I want to get an idea of how much space on my hard drive and ipod I will need.

The size of the files will vary depending on the length of the book.
Here are some example sizes:
Book 1: split into 4 separate files of 2 to 2.5 hours each. The file sizes vary from 29 to 36 MB.
Book 2: split into 3 files of 2.25 to 2.5 hours each. The file sizes vary from 31 to 35 MB.
