Audible restrictions wrong (off-by-one error?)

In iTunes 7.5 on Mac OS 10.5:
I have a few Audible ebooks in iTunes, all under my own (single) account. Just recently I added another ebook from another account.
However, when I now try to sync my iPod, I receive an error that 'content from no more than two Audible accounts' can be present on the iPod at once.
This is clearly incorrect - there are files from exactly two different Audible accounts in iTunes, not more than two.
(This isn't helped by iTunes lacking an 'owner' or 'account' field in view options, though - so there's no clear way to double-check the owner of a selection of tracks without looking at the Get Info data of each track in turn - and doing this reveals only two different accounts)
It's also unclear as to whether iTunes has synchronised just the one account (which? The first, presumably) or whether - as I suspect - this has caused iTunes to skip syncing of Audible content entirely.
How should this bug be reported to Apple? As a bug which must be fixed, there's the fact that ebooks from two accounts aren't synchronised when they should be. As a feature request, if there are ebooks from more than two accounts present, then iTunes should prompt the user to choose which two are synchronised.

Quit Mail. Force quit if necessary.
Back up all data. That means you know you can restore the Mail database, no matter what happens.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A folder window will open. Inside it there should be files with names as follows:
Envelope Index
ExternalUpdates.storedata
Move those files to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Other files in the folder may have longer names that begin as above. Move those files, if any, to the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Relaunch Mail. It should prompt you to re-import your messages. You may get a warning that the index is damaged and that Mail has to quit. Click OK. Typically, the process takes a few minutes, but it may take hours if you have gigantic mailboxes. In that case, you may be able to speed things up by temporarily adding your home folder to the Privacy list in the Spotlight preference pane. Remove it when Mail has finished importing.
Test. If Mail now works as expected, you can delete the files you moved to the Desktop. Otherwise, post your results.

  • I can't think of my restrictions password. The one I normally use is wrong.

I am having trouble with my restrictions password. The one I normally would use is wrong. Any tips please?

If you have a backup that does not contain the passcode, restore that backup nd that will overwrite the passcode,
However, if no such backup exists, and you can't remember the passcode, the only way around it is to restore the iPad to factory settings and start all over again. If you restore from a backup that contains the restrictions passcode, you will just be placing that forgotten passcode back onto the device again.

  • Shooting a video works sometimes, but sometimes it shuts off after one second without recording any video

Have had the Turbo Droid for only 3 days and just tried to shoot video. Twice it worked, but more often it seems to begin recording, but shuts off after one second without recording anything.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong to cause this to happen.
    Can you help?
    Thanks!

    Thanks, EfrainM_VZW.
Haven't seen any error messages. Occasionallly, but only rarely, the video will record 1-2 frames, but most of the time it just shuts down. I have tried it with and without the rubber-grip case; taking off the case had no effect. The video still would not function.
When you tap the video camera icon, it tries to shoot video and seems to begin to record, but one (or two) second(s) later, it beeps and stops. Rarely with a frame or so of video; mostly nothing is recorded.
The still camera works great! Love being able to touch it anywhere to grab a snap.
BTW, my partner and I got identical phones at the same time last week. His video has the exact same problems as my phone.
Another point: I downloaded the Google Camera and can shoot video just fine through that camera. But not through the stock Motorola camera that came with the Droid Turbos.
I'm starting to think we got phones from a defective batch.
    What do you think?

  • Got one error while activating data in dso

    Hi,
I am loading some data to SAP given dso 0figl_o02. while doing so i got one error with following description
Error short text : "Value "CONVERSION REVERSAL " from characteristic 0DOC_HD_TXT contains an error at position 20"
Long text :  "Characters that have a hexadecimal format between HEX00 and HEX1F are not permitted in characteristic values. The 20th character is one of these characters. The value is therefore not permitted.
I dont know how to find out exactly which record has this wrong data. I checket in PSA for this record with error its not showing any of such records.
    Please suggest some soluion
    Thanx

    Hi Sudeep,
First you need to get the values from characteristic 0DOC_HD_TXT that contains an error.
Therefore, go to the ODS/DSO contents tab through RSA1(manage) and select the first option LOGS and then you will be able to select log for Activation and then execute it.
You will no get several requests, select your relevant request which will be in red and then select Application Log at the botton of the screen, then you will be displayed with another screen there you check the date of activation is correct or not becoz by default today's date will be there.
Then you will get the log for it --> double click on the problem class which is in red for it and you will get the value for the 0DOC_HD_TXT where it has special char.
Then go to PSA select all data packets and number of records (give full number of the records transfered) and then enter. It might take sometime if you have huge data. Once you get the records then filter on the 0DOC_HD_TXT column and then give the value you copied from the log.
Then you can edit the special char (remove) or if you want that to be displayed then paste the same spl. char in RSKC and execute.
    Activate it again.
    Hope it helps...
    Best Regards,
    MK

  • FTP file timestamp/Calendar getTimeInMiilis() off by one year...

    Hi,
My apologies if this doesn't belong here, but I'm not sure where to file it. I'm using the Apache commons library to do FTP transfers. When I pull a file down, I try to set the last-modified timestamp using:
    private static void setTimeStamp(FTPFile file, File localFile) {
      localFile.setLastModified(file.getTimestamp().getTimeInMillis());
}However, it seems to be setting the timestamp incorrectly; the year is off by one.
I can compensate for it by adding one to the calendar object, but I wanted to ask here to see if anyone can explain it to me in more detail... perhaps I am misunderstanding something fundamental about the Calendar class or something?
    Thanks,
    KaJun

Could it be that the FTPFile.getTimestamp() is in error by one year rather than the File.setLastModified() ?

  • One error message by submit button on long form

    I've done this before, but I don't remember what I did. I
have a very long form with some spry validation. I want to make it
so when the user goes to click submit at the bottom of the form,
they get ONE error message for all text field validation failures.

  • Thinkpad600 - the 0(OFF) I(ON) error when CDROM is connected

My friend gave me a Thinkpad 600. Type: 2645350 S/N:55132RW
    Configuration:
    CPU Pentium II 233 MHz
RAM 288 MB (Internal 32 MB + 128 MB + 128 MB in expansion slots)
HDD bay: 5 GB IBM HDD
Ultraslim bay: original FDD FRU P/N 05K8874
When I switch on the Thinkpad with the new CMOS battery (which I replaced recently), I get error codes 163 and 173.
The window with error codes 163 and 173 pops up, I press OK, window with time and date settings pops up.
I set the time and date, I have to change the time and date from default values (2000-01-01; 00:00:00) to actual
values and I confirm it by pressing OK button.
I hear double beep and restart is performed. After restart no error code appears and MS-DOS from HDD 1 is loaded.
    I switch off the Thinkpad.
Now when I switch on the Thinkpad second time, again the error codes 163 and 173 appears even though I set the time and date before, window with error codes 163 and 173 pops up, I press OK, window with time and date settings pops up.
I just confirm the time and date because the actual time and date remain and I confirm it by pressing OK button.
I hear double beep and restart is performed. After restart no error code appears and MS-DOS from HDD 1 is loaded.
    I switch off the Thinkpad.
When I go to Easy setup and then Test window  and I perform test with all components (System board, Memory, Display,
HDD1, FDD1, Parallel, Serial, DSP, Infrared, etc) I get test result OK for each component.
When I press CTRL + A the window with connected FRU parts appears showing that all parts are connected instead Docking Unit.
    The booting order is set as: 1st FDD1, 2nd CDROM, 3rd HDD1
The problem occurs when I swap the drive in Ultraslim bay.
Now the configuration in Ultraslim bay is changed as shows below:
    Configuration:
    CPU Pentium II 233 MHz
RAM 288 MB (Internal 32 MB + 128 MB + 128 MB in expansion slots)
HDD bay: 5 GB IBM HDD
Ultraslim bay: original Toshiba CD ROM drive FRU P/N 05K8873
Now when I switch on the Thinkpad, again the error codes 163 and 173 appears even though I set the time
and date before, window with error codes 163 and 173 pops up, I press OK, window with time and date settings pops up.
I just confirm  the time and date because the  actual time and date remain and I confirm it by pressing OK button.
I hear double beep and restart is performed. After a less then a minute I get one beep and on the screen I see
O > I these are all flickering. I’ve found in the online manual the following
    --- the 0 > I error in the manual means ----
‘This message appears when you restart your computer after you have changed
the IDE channel from 2 to 3. Power off the computer and wait at least 5
seconds; then power it on again.’
When I switch off the Thinkpad and wait more than 5 seconds and then switch on  this message appears again and
this does not solve the problem.
Does anybody know how to solve this problem with --- the 0 (OFF) > I(ON) error ---  which are displayed every time when I switch on my Thinkpad?
It seems there is some conflict in IDE bus, because when only HDD1 is connected to IDE then the Thinkpad is booting to MS-DOS and when HDD1 as well as CDROM is connected to IDE bus the Thinkpad stops always on this error message.
When I go to easy setup and then to Test window in this configuration scenario, I see the HDD1 as well as CDROM icon as Grey (Not connected??) but when I press CTRL + A, in the FRU parts window I see that only HDD and Docking unit is not connected and CD-ROM is connected.
    thanks in advance
    Milan

About the backup battery, I do not have available original backup battery FRU 02K6502 at the moment.
So I used standard 3V lithium battery type 2025 from Duracell.
Red wire is soldered to " + " side of coin battery
Black wire is soldered to " - " side of coin battery
The battery is wrapped by insulated tape.  I measured the voltage and it shows me 3 V, so I assume the battery is OK.
Even though I got error code 163 which means "time and date were not set",  they are set. And code 173 which means "Configuration data was lost", but in this case it was not lost, but has been retained.
If I disconnect the backup battery, then the time and date is lost and there is default setting. When the backup battery is connected, the time and date remains set... so based on these outcome I assume the battery is OK.

  • IMAQdx timestamp off-by-one

I have a network camera and it provides its own timestamp via the IMAQdxTimestampHigh and IMAQdxTimestampLow properties. I'm observing something I don't expect -- the timestamp appears to be off by one image.
I have a simple VI that shows this behavior. In it, I open an IMAQdx session with my camera, configure a grab, reset the timestamp counter, and read the images sequentially. When examining the timestamp associated with each image, the first image has what appears to be the Nth+1 image's timestamp from the previous grab, as if stale data was left in memory.
To see this behavior, run the "Exercise Timestamp Reset.vi" twice. Before you run it the second time, take note of the value for "Last Timestamp". When you run it the second time, the value for "First Timestamp" is slightly higher than "Last Timestamp", which suggests stale data. I would expect "First Timestamp" to be close to zero.
What could be causing this behavior, and how can I fix my code? So far, I've tried:
Moving the "Reset Timestamp Counter.vi" so that it is called immediately after creating the IMAQdx session,
Creating an IMAQdx session, resetting the timestamp counter, and clearing the session before creating a second IMAQdx session for the grab.
    My particular configuration:
    Allied Manta MG 504B ASG
    LabVIEW 2009 SP1
    IMAQdx 3.9.1
    Solved!

Maybe I used the wrong terminology here.... Its not so much "subverting the firewall" as processing the GigE Vision-related traffic at the lowest layer in the network driver, well before it gets handled by the network stack and any firewalls in the system. This is somewhat implied by using the "High Performance GigE Vision Driver". The firewall is still in place for any other traffic to the system.
When you are _not_ using the high-performance driver, the GigE Vision data does go through the firewall. However, since the reception is done in the OS kernel for performance reasons the firewall doesn't work quite the same way as through applications. The various exceptions you can modify on the list relate to individual programs, not the kernel. The kernel effectively has unrestricted access to the network stack. However, because of the way the firewall works it does end up blocking UDP traffic that is not "connection-based" -- in that UDP inbound traffic is not allowed unless outbound traffic along the same path was recently detected. In the original GigE Vision 1.0 standard there was always a unidirectional path with no way to make it appear bidirectional. In later versions a feature was added that made it possible and today most cameras support it. This is the "Firewall traversal" feature that I mentioned earlier that can be enabled inside IMAQdx. This is likely the easiest option and doesn't require any changes to your firewall configuration.
Thanks for your clarification -- I'm not so alarmed :-)
I was able save another Wireshark capture after enabling Firewall Traversal, and this time I saw a lot more traffic. I set the camera's PacketSize to 1200 and saw many UDP transfers just above that size.
One thing that was a bit strange: I could only enable Firewall Traversal from MAX via View Options » All Attributes and then checking the box for AcquisitionAttributes » AdvancedEthernet » FirewallTraversal » Enabled. I didn't see an equivalent in the LabVIEW Class Browser: Firewall Traversal was not present in the Advanced Ethernet submenu. I didn't see any filtering options for the property node either (I've seen that before in DAQmx). It was only discoverable as AcquisitionAttributes::AdvancedEthernet::FirewallTraversal::Enabled by using IMAQdx Enumerate Attributes.vi. I suppose that the driver doesn't keep a cache of some attributes and relies on run-time detection instead.
At any rate, I would be grateful if you can inspect whether or not the camera is sending bad timestamps. I am still waiting for a response from Allied about a firmware update.

My iPhone is in recovery mode, But once it's done with the process a tab comes up saying there was something wrong restoring it (1015) error. Any suggestions of how I could fix this?

Error 1015: This error is typically caused by attempts to downgrade the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch's software. This can occur when you attempt to restore using an older .ipsw file. Downgrading to a previous version is not supported. To resolve this issue, attempt to restore with the latest iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch software available from Apple. This error can also occur when an unauthorized modification of the iOS has occurred and you are now trying to restore to an authorized, default state.
    In other words:
The backup to which you're trying to restore was created with a lower or previos version of iOS than the one installed on your iPhone during the recovery.  If this is the case then you'll be unable to restore your phone with that backup and you'll have to set your iPhone up as new.  Or,

  • One error on installation

I installed Leopard this morning on my core duo 20" iMac. One scare - no drives showed up in the selection box at first. I then backed up a bit and reread and disconnected my USB hub, my printer, my external display and my firewire EyeTV and then the drive showed up and I could proceed normally.
My one concern. Upon completion I got one error dialog:
    "AppleScript Error
Can't make "ys" into type real. (-1700)"
Possibly the result of some third party stuff? Anybody have an idea what caused this?

Gee, I get to solve my own problem.
I had CoreDuoTemp installed to show me the operating temperature displayed in the menu bar.
Later today I noticed it just said "CoreDuoTemp" there, rather than the actual temperature value so I figured it had failed to start up completely. I quit this application and the error dialog boxes quit popping up every few minutes. There doesn't appear to be a newer version of this app available (I had v1.0) and I have sent off an email to the developer.
